Hi, I'm Raguigi, a troper who contributes to (or just reads) TV Tropes. Welcome to my troper page.

Due to personal shame and annoyance from the earlier version of my troper page, I am planning on renewing it. It hasn't been renewed yet, but it will be re-written soon.

I used to be a cartoon reviewer named Ragameechu, but I gave it up when I realized that a lot of my old art was poorly drawn and most of my old reviews were just rants that had little research put into it and offered no insight. I might go back into reviewing and drawing again, but I'd need to work harder and put much more effort into my work.

Things that I Have Created

(Note that many of my older works have become old shames for me.)

    Works
Comic Strips and ...uh... Books
  • Cheesecake, Jr.: One of my oldest comic strips, about an anthropomorphic Troodon-person. I began to make comic strips less and less around 2011, until I eventually stopped around 2013. I'm considering on planning a reboot under the name of Charlie Troodon.
    • Cheesecake, Jr. in the Future: An amateurly-written and rather rushed science-fiction book that mostly focused on the fun technology and world of the year 2311, rather than actually focusing on any actual plot or structure. My only published work.
    • A second Cheesecake, Jr. book, which had a similarity to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!
    • A third book about Cheesecake, Jr., about him returning to the 24th century. Never got past the first chapter.
    • Another book about Cheesecake, Jr. going back to 12th-century England.
  • Nasty Joe: One of my older comic strips, simply about a character who does rather disgusting things. Not much substance was put into it; it was basically a four-panel "Zoo-Wee Mama!"
  • Jammy's Junkyard: A rather old strip about a dog defending his junkyard.
  • Rocky and Road: My oldest comic, about a pecan and a marshmallow that traveled around the world.
  • Funny Future: A comic strip that originally took place in the 31st-century (until I changed the date to the 23rd century to distance it from Futurama) that focused on the exploits of a kid named Tom Appleton. I'm considering on rebooting it under the name of Appleton's Antics.

Fan Stories...Er, Fan Fic ...all of which are based off My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and have essentially been canceled.

  • A Portal Between Universes: Humans discover a portal to Equestria, and a cultural osmosis occurs.
  • A Vacation in History: Twilight Sparkle goes back in time to visit important scenes in Earth history, such as the Battle of Waterloo and the Mongol Invasion of Hungary.
  • Solem et Terram: A story where Princess Celestia has an influence on certain events in Earth's history.

Super Translation Butchers

  • Accidental Innuendo: "Here we are, ready to go blow!"
  • Arc Words: There are constant mentions of soup, beauty, barrels, and the number 0.
  • Cultural Translation: Luigi's mention of "the bagel" becomes "the donut".
  • Deteriorates Into Gibberish: Yoshi's request for a bedtime story quickly turns into a Word Salad.
Yoshi: Please tell me the story of the barrel of my beauty sleep time in order to find a Yoshi Luigi yosieul 0 shares structure.
  • Eats Babies: Yoshi's line about Luigi discovering his egg turns into Yoshi suggesting that he eat his egg.
  • Ho Yay: Seems to be an unusual amount of this in Mario and Luigi's dialogue.
    • Who knows what the heck this means...
  • Ice-Cream Koan:
    • King Scoopa Koopa somehow becomes Soup is the Salvation.
    • Luigi supplies quite a few in Mama Luigi, including:
Luigi: Good thing is that I can to discover the magic of the ball!
Luigi: Yes, and then what happened to sanity?
Luigi: When you say that you want to stay, you will be able to stay!
Luigi: True is when the fun begins!
Luigi: You need light to change my God?
    • The one below might actually even count as a legitimate philosophical question:
Luigi: Oh, what is the child who has a problem? What is hunger?
    • King Koopa provides something that sounds meaningful, but is really either just a paradox or a confusing lie:
Koopa: If none of the key does not exist, you will not be able to find them.
  • I Have Many Names:
    • Yoshi is sometimes called Yossi or Yosieul.
    • Luigi switches between his normal name and Louis, Lewis, or Ruyijieul.
    • Koopa is sometimes referred to as Koo or Kutppa.
  • In-Series Nickname: The purple dinosaur that confronts Luigi and Baby Yoshi is apparently named "Ben".
  • Live Item: Non-videogame example:
Mario: Luigi is the adjustment keys!
  • Non Sequitur: Some gems include:
Luigi: Hey, thanks for all karate!
Luigi: But, now, he holds the barrel.
Luigi: Oh, well, it's your beauty...?
    Mario: However, the soup.
Koopa: After that, I'm in the United States, crashes, is an attempt to try to eat a little monster.
  • Office Romance: Mentioned near the end of the Mama Luigi translation:
Mario: However, the soup. What we're doing here is looking for her to eat a little 'free or 0 Yoshi actions sex in the workplace.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Half of the parts that aren't completely butchered tend to be this.
Luigi: It is not necessary to be afraid of water!
  • Stealth Pun / Accidental Pun: The Italian mistranslation of The Yoshi Shuffle has the title "Yoshi Riordino".
  • Sure, Why Not: Luigi's reaction to Baby Yoshi calling him "mom".
  • Translation Train Wreck / "Blind Idiot" Translation: Essentially the whole point of Super Translation Butchers. This is actually somewhat zigzagged; some lines will essentially have the same meaning as the original, while others will be complete nonsense.

The Simpsons Grill on an Open Fire

  • Adaptation Name Change: Moe's name is consistently referred to as "Meng".
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: Not to the same extent as Super Translation Butchers, but it's definitely there.
  • Cultural Translation: The "Santa Claus of the South Seas" becomes the "Santa Clause of Nanhai" (i.e., the South China sea).
  • Hulk Speak:
"Patti": Selma and I saw our little sister not more excited on Christmas Eve.
  • I Banged Your Dad: From Patty of all people.
Patty: Oh, it's okay, I'm just smashing your father.
Lisa: Well, I hope that you will not be the only father besides him and everyone else. He is my only father. Therefore, he is my adult model. My evaluation of him will determine the prospect of my adult relationship. So I hope you will keep in mind that every time you tap him, it's a strike for me, and I'm too young to dare to fight this fierce attack.
  • Name's The Same: Marge's name will occasionally gets rendered as "Maggie" due to both being diminutives of the name "Margaret".
  • Spell My Name With an "S": "Patti" Bouvier.
