- Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series has a regular cast of enemies whose levels of antagonism toward Yugi and company range from comically inept to seriously homicidal to somewhere in between. The list includes Seto Kaiba, Hair Guy (Kemo from the original series), Yami Bakura (a.k.a. "Florence"), Bandit Keith, Marik, Maximillion Pegasus, Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor, Zombie-Boy (Bonz from the original series), Sid and Zygore, Zorc Necrophades, the Big Five, Dartz, and Shadi. Most of these are members of Marik's Evil Council, which spends more time thinking up overly-complicated plans to kill Yugi than actually trying to kill Yugi; as far as the membership goes, Kaiba refused to join the group, Shadi and the Big Five aren't members, and Dartz and his minions were deliberately not invited by Marik ("they're just a bunch of dorks"), though Rebecca and her evil teddy bear are later made members (well, the teddy bear is, anyway; Rebecca is just there to accompany it).
- Lampshaded in Supergirl fanfic Hellsister Trilogy after three Kryptonians run into the Kryptonite-Man:Dev-Em: Oh, Sheol. What a headache. El, tell me. Was that another one of your unending parade of people who want you dead?

As for a more figurative one, based on those who've appeared on-screen, including:
- In Child of the Storm; Lucius Malfoy, Baron Zemo, Arnim Zola, Gravemoss, Baron Von Strucker, the Disir, the Slendermen, Fenrir Greyback, Bellatrix Lestrange, the Shadow King, Metallo, Jason Todd (pre Heel–Face Turn), Voldemort, and Chthon.

- The Pokemon Fan Fic Brave New World has a pretty large one, including Oblivion's Shadow, Dr. Taranchulus, Chobin, Bellum (and her daughters), Paul... and those are just the most important ones.
- Calvin & Hobbes: The Series has Dr. Brainstorm, his assistant Jack, Holographic Retro, Rupert and Earl, and their crew...
- In the Darkwing Duck fanfiction series, Negaverse Chronicles, the Friendly Four are developing a rather impressive list of villains. Negaduck and his goons, Dr. Khola, Dingo, and Phyros are all recurring foes. Others with the potential to return in later chapters include Stegomutt, Morgana, Gizmoduck, Gyro, Cara Foxworthy...
- Troll Cops has the Alternia City Police Department going up against the likes of (among others): Karkat Vantas and the Karkat Gang, Don Strider and the Strider Mafia, Spades Slick and the Midnight Crew, Lord English and the Felt, Marquise Spinneret Mindfang later replaced by the Dread Pirate Megido and the Mindfang Pirates, and the Nefarious and Notorious Mr. Pupa.
- Kitsune no Ken: Fist of the Fox:
- In the main story, there is a rather large list of antagonists who've shown up more than once (including in the Gaiden chapters) to oppose Naruto, as well as his relatives and friends by extension. This list includes individual enemies like Mizuki, Rokusho Aoi, Shimura Danzo, Hozuki Suigetsu, Yagura, Mitokado Homura, Kagura Sana, Utakata, Konan, Kaguya Kimimaro, Gama Jiraiya, Kira, Yahiko, Fuu, Tsuchinoe, Chief Kaiza, the Spiral Reaper, and Gaara and his siblings Temari and Kankuro; as well as groups and teams like Mizuki's wider gang (to include members Dosu, Zaku, and Kin, who've also acted on their own initiative), the Hall Monitors' Guild (led by Aoi in the main story and later by Yoshida Sanjiro in the Gaiden chapters), the Blood Mist Gang (of which Yagura is the leader), the Tiger Dragon Gang (led by the Affably Evil Chi and his Number Two Yukata in the main story, and later by the more militant Nigai in the Gaiden chapters), the Purple Storm Gang, the Flame-Heart Posse, the Ice-Eyes Gang, Akatsuki (of which Yahiko is the leader and Konan is a member), and the LOVE organization (led by Gaara, Temari and Kankuro and inclusive of top-ranking members Matsuri, Darui, Chojuro, Kurotsuchi, Menma, Yura, Sumaru, and the aforementioned Yagura, all of whom will come together when summoned for major assignments but otherwise act on their own). Other villains, including Suigetsu's brother Hozuki Mangetsu, Shiore and the Hawks Gang, and Tanzaku Susuki appear in the story, but so far they've each made only one appearance in antagonistic roles.
- Regarding the above list, it should be noted that not all of these actually fight Naruto in direct combat, nor is their opposition even physical to start with in some cases (for instance, Danzo, Mitokado, and Susuki aren't hand-to-hand fighters, the first two being elderly and the last preferring gambling and seduction tactics), and some of them in fact see him as just an occupational hazard at worst and instead have more personal grouses with several of his friends (for example, Matsuri doesn't personally hate Naruto beyond seeing him as her boss Gaara's enemy but definitely has a mutual enmity with Hinata, while Aoi has a stronger hatred toward Ino than Naruto). A large chunk of them do oppose him in various other ways, though, including by targeting his friends or loved ones as opposed to targeting him directly. Of this bunch, as well, Suigetsu and Danzo are likely the least antagonistic, despite their own actions against Naruto (Suigetsu's repeated pranks and physical provocations, Danzo's direct and indirect efforts to get Naruto thrown out of Konoha High), and both of them eventually cease to be seen as outright villains, with Suigetsu becoming a regular mainstay among Naruto's friends and Danzo proving himself a Reasonable Authority Figure who just had his school's best interests at heart all along. By contrast, Chi sees Naruto as a Worthy Opponent, while Fuu, who does hate Naruto due to their experiences together in the 365 days, nevertheless behaves more like a grudging Anti-Hero while still not being fully on the side of the angels.
- The in-universe ''Shadow Fox'' comic book, it being a superhero series, naturally has one of these, with some of its members outlined in-universe during a brief sequence in Chapter 200 which, in context, is actually part of a discussion between Lee and Tenten about one of the comic's major arcs whose plot is being used as the basis for LOVE's murder plot against Naruto's friends in the real world, and then fully listed and expanded upon in the sixth Gaiden chapter, which takes place within the Shadow Fox universe itself. The list of Shadow Fox's rogues includes Ghost Wolf, Mischief, Brutality, Decker Card, Nitro-Frost, Mask Master, Ricochet, Reflector, Dr. Glass, Panthera, Bonebreaker, Steel Fist, Blitz, Second Sight, Terror King, Johnny Gamble, Datajack, Wildfire, Eagle Eye, Roundarm, Silly Billy, Minister Sorrow, and Buckaroo. Of this bunch, Ghost Wolf, Mischief, Dr. Glass and Blitz have been mentioned in casual conversation by other characters throughout the main story, with Shino and Kushina arguing over whether Dr. Glass or Blitz is the superior villain, and Naruto and Jugo speculating over whether Ghost Wolf or Mischief will be the featured villain in the much-anticipated Shadow Fox film.
- Lampshaded by Superman in Kara of Rokyn:Superman: I'd been operating in public, man and boy, for over ten years when you popped out of that rocket in that blue-and-red outfit. I'd made so many enemies I couldn't even count 'em on a computer. And every one of 'em was trying to find a sure-fire way to kill me. A lot of 'em got really close.
- In Dance with the Demons, Batman lampshades the sheer number of people who are after his head.Catwoman: Who could have had it in for me this badly? I didn't think I made anybody mad enough at me to kill me.
Batman: I don't think it's that, Sel. I think it was a strike at me, through you. I've got enough enemies to fill half the state pens in the Union. - Funeral for a Flash: "Rogue's Gallery" is exactly what the Flash's enemies have chosen to call their not-so-little "club".The heists did improve, and he was able to avoid the cops by blasting them with hailstones and lightning or causing ice to form under the wheels of their prowl cars. But being a super-villain brings you to the attention of super-heroes, and since he chose to work near Central City, that brought him into the purview of the Flash.
The Weather Wizard had made a good showing against him during their first fight, but he eventually lost and went back to the joint. Once inside, he learned the tricks of the trade from some of the other elite who had gone up with him. That group, which welcomed him as a brother, included good old Sam Scudder, Henry Darrow, Lenny Snart, and Al Desmond. In their suits, they were known as Mirror Master, Pied Piper, Captain Cold, and Mr. Element or Dr. Alchemy. They'd started an informal group they called the "Rogue's Gallery" and traded tips and information. There were others later on—Captain Boomerang, Heat Wave, the sadly-departed Top, the Rainbow Raider, and a couple whom Mark forgot—but he was the fifth, almost in on the ground floor of it. - Don't Cry For Me, I've Already Wilted: In addition to the four Bad End Kingdom residents, the fic also primarily features Poisony, Kabaton, and an original villain named Maimiko as a group of antagonists working together to corrupt Saki.
