  • Always a Bigger Fish: As powerful as the Zenith Monsters are and how they easily kill most of the remaining contestants, once the Crimson Fatalis hatches, it very quickly kills the both of them.
  • A Molten Date with Death: The area that all the remaining contestants are transported to for the Zenith Rathalos and Rathian Boss event is a volcanic landscape. And almost every single contestant remaining gets killed by them in it.
  • An Arm and a Leg: When Dimitrescu attacks Cobra Commander, he uses the MAC II's cannons to defend himself, with one of its plasma shots singeing off one of her arms.
    • Jeri cuts off Starlok's hand she was using to hold onto Torque with his tail to make sure she lets go of Torque before she could lose her grip and get sucked into the pillar of flame caused by the Zenith Rathalos.
  • Answer Cut: After Jocasta kills Nissa, she asks where her other teammates are and assumes they're fucking. We then cut to Marylyn, who as it turns out ends up part of a Jackass stunt.
  • Ascended Meme: Wario's Big "OMG!" moment is a reference to the Wario Dies meme, where he would usually have a Big "OMG!" right before he dies.
  • Ass Shove: When Torque lands as she's preparing to make a kill-shot on Wario, her gun finds its home right up Wario's butt...and then she pulls both triggers. Cue Defeat Equals Explosion.
  • Back for the Dead: Sloth, who is revived to participate in, and dies again in, the Arena.
  • Batman Gambit: At the end of the Replenishment event in chapter 5, as all of the girls are making out, Wario comes out and strips off his clothes, with all of the girls fleeing at the sight of the naked Wario. Which judging by Wario's comment after the girls leave, is exactly what he intended, as it leaves all the food left in the center all for himself.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Starlok, who starting in the second chapter, starts corrupting several contestants into being her personal army/sex slaves. After most of her army either breaks free of her control or are killed by the Prayer Warriors however, her role as a threat gets greatly diminished.
  • Big "OMG!": Wario has a massive one at the end of the final battle right before Torque blows up his ass.
  • Boom, Headshot!: In the Prayer Warriors event, when Taffy manages to reflect a beam of light from them away from her, it ends up going through Sloth's head, killing him. In the same event M'Ress gets an arrow through her head.
  • Brain Bleach: Miia tries rubbing her eyes out with a sponge when she thinks that all those 'Ugly Bastard' mangas she read was foreshadowing.
  • The Bus Came Back: Ed, Taffy, Bagan, Sakaki, Ridley, Ankha, Blaze, Belladonna, Alcina Dimitrescu, and the Xenomorph Queen all return from previous Arenas. In terms of Arena inhabitants, the dancing crabs from episode two, the killer flying donuts from episode five, and Dora the Anthropleura from episode eight return as well.
    • Bus Crash: Unfortunately for Ankha, she ends up as the first casualty of the episode.
  • Call-Back: Ankha and Blaze have a discussion about their last outing in an Arena in their introductions.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The egg Wario finds in the fourth chapter? It ends up hatching at the end of the sixth chapter, revealing to have been a Crimson Fatalis that saves Wario, Torque, and Miia from the Zenith Rathalos and the Rathian and then aids Wario in the final battle due to him pulling a Grand Theft Me.
  • Country Matters: Ebony, one of the Prayer Warriors, was clearly trying to call Yang the C-word as he stabs her. But because of the (intentional) misspelling, he calls her a "SATANIC CANT" instead.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: All the remaining contestants vs the Zenith Rathalos and Rathian in the sixth chapter has the latter easily kill almost every remaining contestant left. Then when the Crimson Fatalis hatches from Wario's egg, it then swiftly dispatches the both of them.
  • Curse Cut Short: In the fourth chapter, when Carnage notices a bright light rushing toward the entire Arena, he lets out a confused "What the fu-" before being transported to the first event of the episode.
  • David Versus Goliath: The climax has Torque, armed with only a Pulse Rifle, fighting against Wario, who's possessing a Crimson Fatalis with THREE Infinity Stones attached to it.
  • Death by Irony: The Xenomorph Queen, the queen of a species known for its acidic blood, gets murdered by the Cobra Commander dumping a vat of acid on her.
  • Defiant to the End: Torque, knowing that the Zenith Rathalos and Rathian will kill her, Miia, and Wario in a couple of seconds, yells at them "Just Get It Over With, you fucks!" and then giving them both the finger and throwing a rock at the Zenith Rathalos' head. Fortunately, unexpected help from the just hatched Crimson Fatalis saves them before they would have been killed.
  • Devoured by the Horde: Ankha, who gets ripped apart by some killer flying donuts.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Ankha gets eaten by some killer flying donuts, Miura gets impaled by a tree branch, Echo gets her head blown off by Slurpina's tank, and Slurpina gets crushed by Sloth crushing her tank, with her inside it.
    • Shortly after Ed’s musical number in the first day, Sakaki gets quickly killed at the beginning of the first night by Nezha.
  • Dual Boss: The final event before the last chapter has the remaining competitors fight both a Zenith Rathalos and a Rathian.
  • Eaten Alive: Liliana meets her end when an Achatina snail devours her.
  • Fastball Special: Wario and Dimitrescu's very brief "team up" involves the latter throwing the former through an entire treeline, claiming that she needs a better view of the forest.
  • Flipping the Bird: Torque does this twice: She gives both the Zenith Rathlos and Rathian the finger when it seems like all is lost. And after Wario says that he MIGHT let her go if she says he’s the best, she responds by giving him the double-bird.
  • Foreshadowing: Just before the teams are introduced, Baskerra hears the sounds of poor grammar and horrible misuse of Christianity, hinting at the first major threat the contestants will face. She even considers it an omen.
  • Four Is Death: The fourth team introduced is the first one to get completely wiped out. Coincidentally, Liliana, the last member of the team to survive, dies in chapter four.
    • The fourth chapter also involves the contestants stuck in an event which has them fight The Prayer Warriors, which wipes out a chunk of the contestants.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: Smiley Cindy becomes a victim of one when a random glitch causes her to lower half to get trapped under the ground. It leaves her open to being bisected by Carnage.
  • Gasshole: Wario lets out all the gas he had in his body to blow several Prayer Warriors away from him. And when he explodes, it causes a mushroom cloud with his mustache on it that smells of fire and garlic.
  • Get It Over With: Torque, believing that it's the end for her, Miia, and Wario, says this exactly to the wyverns while Flipping the Bird at them.
  • Groin Attack: Marylyn, Holo, and Ban get tied to a tree for the episode's Jackass stunt, which is then cut down. Holo and Ban make it out relatively unscathed...because of Marylyn's 'equipment' cushioning the blow, with Marylyn obviously in pain.
Marylyn: "NNNNGH...it's the worst part of keeping your driver's keys in your front pocket x1000."
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Carnage bisects Smiley Cindy after a glitch causes her to get half of her stuck in the ground.
    • The Crimson Fatalis kills the Zenith Rathalos by biting it into two.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: When Jeri sees Starlok threatening to cause Torque to get sucked into the pillar of flame, he flings onto her and makes her let go by cutting off her holding hand, causing the both of them to get sucked into the pillar.
  • Holier Than Thou: The remaining contestants in the fourth chapter have to deal with a group of religious extremists called the Prayer Warriors.
  • Impaled With Extremeprejudice: Miura gets killed when Liliana, possessing Ankha's corpse, throws a tree branch into her chest.
    • How the Prayer Warriors end up killing (or mortally wounding) several of the contestants.

    • And Miia gets killed by Sefirama stabbing her through the brain with his spear.
  • Implied Death Threat: When Jeri and Ridley have a conversation in the beginning, the former hopes the latter isn't hostile. To which Ridley replies that Jeri hasn't seen hostile until he's failed him.
  • Impromptu Tracheotomy: Jocasta kills Nissa by stabbing her in the neck through a tree with her spear.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: As Ridley is yelling that he can't die again, he explodes from one of the Prayer Warrior's beams of light.
    • At the end of the Prayer Warriors event, Jerry of Christ screams for God to help him and his men, moments before they're blown up.
    • Starlok has the Xenomorph Queen kill Marylyn as he's ranting about how he blames Starlok for his mother's death.
  • Killed Offscreen: When Miranda reappears with her team during the second night, she carries with her the body of Jace, who she found having been overloaded by too much knowledge, frying his brain.
    • When the remaining contestants get summoned for the Prayer Warriors event, Torque and Jeri stumble across the corpses of Blaze, Callie, and Tenshin, who were stoned to death.
    • Hildryn, who gets decapitated by Ban shortly after the Prayer Warriors event and whose body is thrown to Starlok to serve as a warning to her.
  • Killer Rabbit: The killer flying donuts, who devour Ankha in the Bloodbath.
  • Kill It with Fire: When Carnage is about to kill Miia, she slams a fist into the ground, to grab a pipeline to spray oil onto him, then when he's distracted, grabs two rocks and slams them together, which causes a spark that causes the symbiote to explode, too damaged to regenerate.
    • How everyone that dies in the Zenith Rathalos and Rathian event gets killed.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: When Jocasta and Dimitrescu are about to fight, Jocasta finds an Assist Trophy, and uses it and ends up summoning Nemesis. Nemesis then proceeds to blow Dimitrescu to kingdom come with a volley of rockets.
  • Medium Awareness: Miia freaks out over being in the Arena since it’s a crossover event she wasn’t informed of and didn’t have time to prepare.
  • Mutual Kill: M'Ress and a Prayer Warrior named Kelvin end up taking each other out: Kelvin from being shot by M'Ress' phaser and M'Ress from an arrow to the head.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Taffy begins freaking out when she comes to her senses on the third day and realizes she slept with Bagan the night before. He helps calm her down.
  • Mythology Gag: Sekai, upon encountering Bagan, wonders if he saw him on the cutting floor once, a reference to how he's infamous for being a scrapped Godzilla foe.
    • During a debate with several characters if the egg Wario has belongs to anything living here, Torque doesn’t care and wonders if they have a taste for Italian. To which Wario retorts back that he's German. He thinks. A reference to one of Wario’s most popular lines being the German phrase "So Ein Mist!"note
  • Neck Snap: How Nezha kills Sakaki.
  • No Body Left Behind: Liliana, who gets her entire body eaten by an Achatina snail, Dimitrescu, who gets blown up by so many of Nemesis' missiles that there's nothing left of her to regenerate.
  • No Holds Barred Beat Down: Smiley Cindy gets beaten within an inch of her life by Jocasta after a failed ambush attempt.
  • NOT!: While Torque's shooting her gun at the Smash Ball, she also notices Jeri firing at it as well. When she points her gun at him, he says he means no harm and asks if he can shoot the weird glowing thing instead. To which Torque replies "Sure. NOT."
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: Yang, under Starlok's influence attempts to seduce Ban. Ban however, tells her he's not interested and tells her to have fun somewhere else. And when Nehza attempts to kiss him, he tells Nezha he doesn't swing that way and backhands him.
  • "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: The beast that attacks Spotlight and Drobot in the second chapter, the Godmonster of Indian Flats.
"Yes, look it up. You won't regret it. You might even get a laugh."
  • Off with His Head!: Slurpina uses her newfound tank to blow off Echo's head.
    • Wario ends the third chapter by biting Holo's head clean off.
    • Michael of Christ, one of the Prayer Warriors, uses a light spell that decapitates Spotlight.
    • When Hildryn's body gets thrown to Starlok, she's missing her head.
    • And Clem gets his head blown off by one of Belladonna’s Rose Slashes.
  • Oh, Crap!: Jerry of Christ starts panicking over seeing that Bagan and Taffy are about to explode, moments before he’s caught in the blast.
  • Parental Incest: Marylyn and Jill make no attempts to hide their incestuous relationship whatsoever, to the point where they have sex right in front of their other teammates in their introductions!
  • Pet the Dog: When Jeri is confronted by Blaze and the Xenomorph Queen and his pheromones made to trick Xenomorphs into not attacking him doesn’t work, Bagan, despite not wanting to meddle in others affairs, helps Jeri by swiping the Xenomorph Queen’s legs which also nearly crushes Blaze, allowing Jeri to escape.
    • At one point Sloth got met by Baskerra and wished for some sleep, which she obliges by giving him a bed with no catches to it. Not that Callie appreciates this since the bed ends up falling on and (non-fatally) crushes her.
  • Pillar of Light: One of the Prayer Warriors' main attacks, which takes out several of the contestants in their event.
  • Please Put Some Clothes On: Callie Briggs' first line has her asking Belladonna to put on some clothes.
  • Plot Armor: What the Holy Warriors think they have which gives them the upper hand in their fight. They don't.
  • Pokémon Speak: Clem, who mostly speaks only his own name. He has one proper sentence near the end of the fifth chapter.
  • Possessing a Dead Body: Liliana takes control over Ankha's corpse to throw a tree branch into Miura in the Bloodbath.
  • Rapid-Fire "No!": Smiley Cindy has this reaction when a glitch causes her lower half to go under the map, trapping her.
  • Robot Me: Several characters get attacked by robot duplicates of either themselves or of other contestants, but they don't prove to be much trouble.
  • Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies: The Zenith Rathalos and Rathian event in chapter 6 kills everyone except for Torque, Wario, and Miia.
  • Shout-Out: When OrionTheWolf's team is attempting to escape during the chaotic Bloodbath, they come across a runabout, with Belladonna even getting the "WE'LL STEAL IT! NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!" line.
  • Skewed Priorities: Yang, heavily under Starlok's influence, masturbates during the Prayer Warriors event. This ends up getting her killed when one of them stabs her in the back while she's distracted.
  • Snow Means Death: When Ed wanders into the frozen north regions of the Arena in the second night, he gets quickly killed by a Snowstalker.
  • Squashed Flat: Cobra Commander wins against his fight with Dimitrescu by stomping on her with the MAC II mech. She manages to survive, but needs to take time to heal.
  • Stop Hitting Yourself: During the final battle, Torque manages to grab a hold of Wario and uses his fists to punch himself in the face while taunting him with this line. She then finishes this with having him punch his own groin.
  • Stylistic Suck: When the Prayer Warriors come and attack the contestants, they also bring with them their numerous spelling and grammar errors from their series with them. Though most of it was translated into proper sentences.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: During the Bloodbath, Belladonna finds a runabout and uses it to drive her team out of there. But because of her complete lack of knowledge of automobiles, it doesn’t take long for her to total the car by crashing it into a rock, with the explosion caused by the crash nearly killing all of them (And for one of them to go missing).
  • Take That!: The narration makes a comment on how Skylanders is fondly remembered despite giving Spyro "the appearance of a pug trying to chew on a wasp".
  • Taking You with Me: Happens several times in the Prayer Warriors event: When Yang gets mortally wounded by a Prayer Warrior, she uses the last of her strength to cause an explosion that takes out her, her attacker, and several other Prayer Warriors that were caught in the blast. And when Bagan and Taffy are also mortally wounded, they put in everything they have to cause an explosion that kills all the remaining Prayer Warriors.
    • When Starlok tries to take Torque into the pillar of flame with her, Jeri leaps in and sacrifices himself by grabbing her and cutting her hand holding Torque off, causing them to go into the pillar instead.
  • Tank Goodness: During the Bloodbath, Slurpina finds a tank and uses it to blow Echo's head off. The tank doesn't last long however as Sloth ends up crushing it with her inside.
  • Tempting Fate: After Starlok has the Xenomorph Queen kill Marylyn when he attempts to attack her following his mother's death, she asks how things could get worse. That's when Hildryn's body gets thrown to her with a note from Ban warning her to stay away from him and Miia.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Every single returnee ends up biting it again in this episode.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Rico sighs out an "Ah, shit" after the Cobra Commander gets into the MAC II and begins firing its weapons inside their container.
    • Ban's first line has him asking "It's going to be one of THOSE days, isn't it?" after noticing that he has no shirt or weapons on him for the episode.
    • Belladonna, after the Zenith Rathalos and Rathian make themselves known to the contestants, admits "Oh...that's not good".
  • Too Kinky to Torture: Jill gets attacked by two Spinoraptors who try to tear her tits apart. All this does however is arouse her.
    • Likewise, Jeri is revealed to have a constricting fetish, much to Torque's surprise and eventual attraction.
  • Torso with a View: Chandra gets killed when one of the Beach Party mutations shoves its claw through her midsection, with allows the other Beach Party mutations to rip her apart.
  • The Unreveal: We never do discover the identity of the mysterious Bandaged Stranger, even as he dies. It would take until an episode late in season two to find out who he was.
  • Verbal Tic: Lupusregina Beta ends nearly every sentence with a 'su'.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Team 11 does not get along AT ALL, with them being seconds away from killing each other before the doors open in their introduction. Similarly, Most of Team 12 has them defending themselves the Demogorgon since it's trying to kill them.

Your Winner: Torque (Ruby the Dragon's pick)
