"It's November and it's time to be thankful THESE combatants aren't around! These are the baddest of the bad! Villains all around...and they're all going through the 8 circles of Hell! There's little room for anything else but a mad dash for the finish! Who will make it? Which despicable being will finally be triumphant?!"

The 22nd episode, written in November 2022. The teams are as follows...

-Team 9 (Garen Ironhoof): Kefka Palazzo, Ganondorf, Gongora, and Dhoulmagus.

-Team 10 (General Butch): The Shredder, Sauron, Luca Blight, and Ghaleon.

-Team 11 (Ruby the Dragon): Tiamat, Onyxia, Maleficent, and Midnite.

-Team 12 (Eboness the Eternal): Vertigo, Jack the Ripper, Hordak, and Dracula.

  • A Lighter Shade of Black: Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Megamind, Gru, and Hordak are this for the cast since they're the only villains here to have reformed.
  • Almighty Idiot: As in the original Divine Comedy, the Lucifer inhabiting Lake Cocytus is a mindless three-faced giant of a brute that gets possessed by Dante with ease. Tellingly, he's not THE Devil. Merely a reminder of his greatest sin.
  • Alternate Self: Bowsette (A version of Bowser with the Super Crown on his head) appears here along with the actual Bowser.
  • Asshole Victim: Most of the villains chosen for this definitely become this.
  • Avenging the Villain: Man-Ray attempts to kill everyone in the Circle of Anger after Skeletor kills The Dirty Bubble in the Circle of Greed. He doesn't get very far in that regard.
  • Back from the Dead: Shredder considers using his wish to revive Tang Shen. He changes his mind and instead uses his wish for The Sword of Tengu.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Out of all the villains here, Shredder is the one who wins this Arena. Then again, this trope would be a give-in anyway and his victory is relatively humble compared to what else could happen.
  • The Big Race: Unlike every other Arena, this time the contestants are racing and killing each other through each ring of Hell to get the wish.
  • Big "NO!": Maleficent roars one out as she gets dragged into the molten gold.
  • Born in the Wrong Century: This version of Dante has VERY outdated ideas of what truly deserves a trip to Hell, like in his original play. It puts him at odds with the calmer Vergil.
  • The Bus Came Back: Cobra Commander, Kefka, Grim, The Shredder (well, the version from Episode 10), Tiamat, and Dracula all return from previous Arenas. Cell also returns and back in his Perfect Form after last being in it in Episode 16.
  • Butt-Monkey: Hans Landa suffers in some fashion in nearly every Ring that he goes through. He's also unceremoniously killed by the Shredder.
  • Canon Character All Along: The Bandaged Stranger in Episode 10 is revealed to have been a new version of Shredder here.
  • Car Fu: When Man-Ray blasts The Charger, it also ends up hitting Sauron, and both get destroyed by the storm in the Ring of Lust when the wrecked car rams into the armored warrior.
  • Characters Dropping Like Flies: The contestants here die at a faster pace than in most Arenas, to the point where it's the first Arena to only have just 5 chapters, which at the time made it the episode with the fewest chapters.
  • Curse Cut Short: When Malefor breathes Convexity at Valmont, all he can yell is "OH SHI-" before he's incinerated.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: The cast of this episode has been sent to fight and kill each other in the pits of Hell
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Luca Blight, Gru, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, The CEO of Racism, Azula, The Major, and Dhoulmagus get killed off during the Bloodbath in Limbo.
  • Death by Mocking: When Midnite notices Maleficent sinking into the molten gold, she takes a moment to get close and laugh at her. Then Maleficent with her remaining non-submerged hand grabs her and takes her into the molten gold.
  • Didn't See That Coming: DIO clearly wasn't expecting anyone to see his Stand. So when Gargos is to attack it, DIO's left blindsided and gets sent through several towers. A similar and more subdued version of this happens again with the Shredder also being able to telegraph the Stand.
  • Evil vs. Evil: When everyone here is or was an antagonist at some point in their series, this was bound to happen.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When the rubble Bowser's standing on sinks into the molten lava, all he does is salute with a deadpan expression. All in contrast to Ganon, who sinks with him still struggling.
  • Flechette Storm: Hela ends up the receiving end of these by DIO, true to form.
  • Grand Theft Me: Dante, sick of seeing Hell being so lenient, pulls this on the Lucifer Monster in Cocytus in order to fix it to his liking. However, he quickly suffers Possession Burnout from the inside, fading away as a result.
  • Gratuitous German: Hans lets out a "NEIN!" before his head gets crushed by an incoming Shredder.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Twice in the last chapter:
    • Grim splits Man-Ray in half just by punching him.
    • Tiamat is bisected by the Shredder to finish her off for good.
  • Head Crushing: Hans and Perfect Cell receive this in chapter 3, though Cell is able to recover from it.
  • Hell: The location for this Arena, with this version being based on Dante's Inferno, only a MUCH more forgiving version (in terms of who gets sent to Hell, anyway).
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Bowser causing a wave of molten gold by melting the gold with his fire breath gets him killed when Shredder causes the rubble he's standing on to sink into the wave.
    • Gargos turns one of Perfect Cell's Kamehameha waves against him through the use of portals, ensuring his demise.
  • Human Shield: In the Ring of Heresy, Skeletor uses the Cobra Commander as a shield for in case Skeletor runs into anything bad, though the narration makes it clear that he's doing it for shits and giggles.
  • Ironic Hell: As in the original Dante's Inferno, each ring punishes each damned soul by the greatest sin they committed in their lifetimes. It's also stated that, for multiple sins, they rotate between Circles.
  • Karmic Reform Hell: What Hell turns out to be. There's a good chance that the souls trapped and being tortured can atone, but they're usually so steeped in their ways that they wind up stuck in there for longer and possibly going insane.
  • No Body Left Behind: Several contestants get completely disintegrated by an attack by the other contestants.
    • Never Found the Body: A clue that Shredder picks up on that Tiamat isn't dead is that there wasn't a dragon shaped hole in the ice when he fell into the Ring of Treachery.
  • Noodle Incident: As Megamind's running through the Circle of Lust, he remembers a bad memory from a bad part of Matrocity:
Megamind: "Is it Metrocity's Red Light District?! I promise I'd never return! Not after last summer!"
  • N-Word Privileges: After The CEO of Racism introduces himself to his teammates, he proceeds to go on a racist tirade involving just about every racial slur. It leaves Hans wondering if he's just taking the piss out of it.
  • Off with His Head!!: DIO takes off The Major's head while time has stopped; Gongora ends up destroying it.
    • Dhoulmagus gets his head cleared off his body by a knife thrown by Jack the Ripper.
    • Tiamat gets this treatment four times for each of her four other heads, either getting them lopped off or destroyed.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Cell realizes his Kamehameha was portaled to his side, he yells out "OH, CRAPBASKETS!" before he is obliterated.
  • Premortem One Liner: While Pizza the Hutt doesn't actually kill Dhoulmagus, he does get one in before Dhoulmagus gets beheaded by Jack the Ripper:
Dhoulmagus: "Wretched pile of muck… any last words before I make you my first victim?"
Pizza the Hutt: "Yeah... nobody out-pizzas the hutt!"
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Dante and Vergil, respectively. While Dante is hot-blooded and demands to see more torture visited upon the souls, Vergil is the calm tour guide that tries to teach him about the realm.
  • The Reveal: That The Bandaged Stranger in Episode 10 was actually Shredder.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Gru, and Megamind, three of the most comedic villains and who made a Heel–Face Turn in their respective series, are all dead by the end of the second chapter (with the first two dying quickly in Limbo).
  • Shout-Out: As The Major is lamenting about his team, he has this thought:
"Hopefully, it wouldn't be like the Cold War. Nothing but talking and blue-balling for YEARS."
  • Surrounded by Idiots: Ayah has this reaction after seeing who her teammates are.
  • Take That!: When Hordak is introduced, he's described as looking like his old self "because his redeemed look was just so NO".
    • When the remaining villains land in the Ring of Gluttony, Armstrong compares it to the Republican Committee and Megamind calls it a buffet at Golden Corral...only somehow cleaner.
  • Taking You with Me: Maleficent grabs a taunting Midnite as she's sinking into the molten gold, dragging her down into it too.
    • Ganondorf attempts to do this with Bowser. He only succeeds because Shredder cuts off a part of the rubble that Bowser was standing on into the molten gold.
    • Grim bites down on Skeletor's head as he's overflowing the ogre with his magic, causing the two of them to blow up.
  • Tamer and Chaster: This Arena is the first one to completely lack a sex scene at all. THAT BEING SAID, this is perhaps the most violent of all Arenas, given everybody's a villain with not a lot of restraint.
  • Team Killer: Nobody's friends in this one, resulting in a lot of this being attemped. Maleficent pulls this off with Midnite successfully, though.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Every returnee except for Shredder ends up as this.
  • This Cannot Be!: Hordak yells this as he gets torn apart by the heart of the storm in the Circle of Lust.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: When The Major realizes that his team consists of a cowardly Nazi, a sentient mass of pizza, and a VERY racist but otherwise normal man:
The Major: "It's going to be a long preparation for battle."
    • Ayah has a similar reaction to her team, considering this a challenge from her Master.
  • Time Stands Still: DIO has this power with his Stand, The World and uses it to kill/hinder several contestants. It takes Shredder resisting it for long enough to ensure he stops for good.
  • Trash the Set: Several rings get destroyed by all the fighting done by the villains. Gluttony and Greed get it the worst in this regard. Then again, given that this is Hell, it won't last.
  • Villainous Friendship: Man-Ray and The Dirty Bubble are the only villains here to actually get along, true to form.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Most of the "teams" here don't even bother trying to work together, instead trying to kill each other the moment they meet each other.
  • You Do NOT Want To Know: When describing what happens to liars in the Circle of Fraud that caused intentional dire consequences for others:
'We can't speak of what happened to them. Give you nightmares.'

Your Winner: The Shredder (General Butch's pick)
