    Season 1
"To The Power of Ten"
  • In the opening moments of the chapter, and the series, Vilgax declares there isn't a being in the galaxy that can stand between him and the Omnitrix. The next scene immediately begins with Flash struggling to help a cat out of a tree. Unfortunately, the cat hisses at him and scratches him causing him to fall out of the tree, and is immediately followed by the Rainbooms helping him and getting the cat down themselves. Clearly The Hero of this series has a long way to go.
  • When Flash first transforms into Volt-Edge in front of Trixie, she stares at him in silence for a moment, until he speaks directly to her. She then proceeds to scream her head off and try to run away, with Flash following after her to try to get her to calm down.
  • While messing around with the Omnitrix, Flash finds out how to change its mode, though he doesn't realize this at the time and just notices how the color changes. He particulates likes the color orange and is tempted to slam it down as that to see what happens, but decides against it and changes it back to green. Anyone familiar with the different modes of the Omnitrix will realize Flash dodged a bullet with that decision.
  • After Flash destroys the mantis-drone as Diamondhead, Trixie nearly blows his Secret Identity in front of the crowd of people, including the Rainbooms, before catching herself. Being a Secret-Keeper might not be so easy after all.
Trixie: Way to go Fla...ashy...diamond...headed guy.

"Animal Harm"

  • Turns out Shining Armor is a Conspiracy Theorist about the alien heroes, with some of his theories being that once they let their guard down the aliens will abduct them and send them back to their home planet to use them as their version of pigs. How he came to that conclusion is never explained.
  • Flash tries to transform into Riot-Horn to fight Animac's animal hybrid, only to accidentally mistransform into Molestache instead.
  • Flash ends up accidentally blowing his secret identity in front of Shining Armor, a cop of all people, not long into his hero career. Lucky for him Shining Armor was convinced to keep his secret and not arrest him.

"Save The Trees"

  • The Omnitrix gives Flash the wrong alien when he tries transforming into Bushwhacker, showing that this is going to be a Running Gag for Flash just like it was for Ben in canon.
XLR8: Hey, I wanted Bushwhacker, not XLR8. Stupid watch.
  • Rainbow's frustration at being saved by XLR8, a hero with Super-Speed. Him taunting her over going faster than her just adds to it.
  • After the Sen-Tree goons attempt to shoot at XLR8 and Flash tells everyone how he "witnessed" this event. When Oakheart is questioned about this event on the news later, he dismisses it as "the mad ramblings of a silly teenager so scared he had been seeing things", to the annoyance of Flash.
  • As Oakheart brags about his evil scheme, Shining and Trixie reveal that they recorded the whole confession on a phone and brag about uploading it to the police right then and there. Unfortunately, they realize that the reception in the area is terrible and their smiles slowly fade into worry.
  • Trixie proves to be just as good of a shot as Shining Armor is. When Shining asks where she learned to fire a gun so skillfully, Trixie innocently answers "Video games".

"Power Outage"

  • When Flash explains to Trixie how his band is mad at him for missing practice and he needs to make it up to them, Trixie asks in a joking manner if they might be looking for a new guitar and lead singer, suggesting she take his place in the band. Flash just glares at her in response.
  • Flash needs to get back to the concert and wants to go XLR8, but the watch is still in the red. Shining Armor drives him there, and as soon as they arrive the watch is finally recharged. Flash's annoyance is very clear.
    Flash: Seriously?

"Crystal Clarity"

  • Flash accidentally destroys Trixie's magazine while goofing off as Diamondhead and offers to make it up to her by taking her to the mall and paying for whatever she wants. She ends up milking this for all it's worth.
  • The Rainbooms finally notice how Flash and Trixie have been hanging out a lot lately ever since the aliens started appearing, and mistakenly come to the conclusion that they are dating.
  • Goop defeats SixSix by slamming him through a clothing store and dragging him into a clothes rack, resulting in him being Dragged into Drag.

"Birthday Bash"

  • Flash is a bit uncomfortable being at a toddler's birthday party.
  • Flash accidentally revealing too much about his aliens by referring to Molestach by name despite him not using that alien in public much. Though he is thankfully able to play it off.
  • Rainbow's reaction to the clown that was hired for Flurry's birthday party when he reaches into his baggy clown pants.
    Rainbow: That's just wrong.
  • While The Rainbooms are discussing the alien heroes and wondering if they even have genders, Rarity voices how she bet Goop doesn't, calling him "horrible" with a look of disgust. This also gets bonus points for having this discussion right in front of Flash, with him needing to resist saying anything.

"Like Looking in a Mirror"

  • XLR8's reaction to Negatine's outfit.
XLR8: And I thought I dressed weird wearing this stuff.
  • Flash transforms into Riot-Horn in front of his evil duplicate. His duplicate freaks outs and is helpless as Riot-Horn squashes him.
  • Flash starts diving into Blatant Lies to keep his secret from Twilight when she almost sees him transforms back to normal from Riot-Horn. He claims the beeping she heard was a passing car and the green flash she saw was caused by the sunset.

"Prehistoric Panic"

  • Spike joins everyone on their fieldtrip to a dig site. He just really wants to get a Dinosaur Doggie Bone, though Twilight keeps him close to prevent this.
  • Volt-Edge gently zaps Trixie awake, causing her to ask "Is The Rock president?" as she wakes up.

"Rise of the Technovore"

  • Continuing the Dramatic Irony of people discussing the alien heroes in front of Flash, the chemistry club discuss the possible high-tech the aliens probably have and the dangers that could come from humans having access to it too soon. Derpy even compares it to giving a caveman an automobile.
  • After Twilight gets a call from Timber saying he is coming to visit tomorrow, Rarity is so excited that she drags Twilight away to do some shopping for their date, with Derpy tagging along and leaving Flash to clean up alone. He tries to clean up quickly by using XLR8, only to get Chamalien instead, forcing him to keep cleaning while invisible.
  • Timber is a bit skeptical about the alien heroes, believing them to just be guys in costumes. He quickly conceivers to Twilight though when she shows him a photo of Goop, seeing he is transparent.
  • Twilight reminds Timber how Flash went to Camp Everfree the same time as her, with Timber awkwardly greeting him. Flash realizes immediately that Timber has no idea who he is.
  • One of the first thing Technovore absorbs is a vending machine. This results in it shooting soda cans at everyone for awhile until it finally runs out.

"Bemusement Ride"

  • Trixie's Spy Speak when she gives the signal to the Rainbooms after tricking Flash into driving her to the amusement park.
Trixie: The butter is in the pan. Turn on the heat!
  • When Vapaw disappears from the crowd of people to find a place where he can turn back to normal, Trixie finds him hiding inside some large dumpsters. After he changes back and comes out covered in trash, he comments he needs to figure out how to turn the Omnitrix off when he needs to.

"Bloodsuckers"

  • Trixie leads the frog monsters to the junkyard after Flash tells her how they can multiply after eating metal. This seems like a smart move when it is revealed they hate rusted metal, only for them to move on and find a pile of non- rusted metal instead. The Opinion Flip Flop Flash has towards the plan adds to it.
Flash: A junkyard? Trixie this is a really bad idea!
    Trixie: Why?
[The frogs are shown being sickened by the rusted metal.]
Flash: Trixie, I take back what I said. Smart move. (Trixie smiles at this before the frogs find some non-rusted metal and start multiplying) I'm giving back what I said. Not a smart move.
  • Trixie's idea to get Flash to stop thinking long enough for the frogs to stop finding him is to invoke Post-Kiss Catatonia on him, pulling him into a Forceful Kiss.
    • This actually works, until Flash sees the Rainbooms standing nearby, watching them kiss, and quickly pushes Trixie away while claiming this is Not What It Looks Like.
    • The Rainbooms think this kiss confirms Flash and Trixie are dating like they thought, and share with the two how they have "known for a while now" that they are dating. Flash and Trixie are quite for a moment, before they both burst out laughing at this.

"The Hunt is On"

"Lady Masquerade"

  • After Lady Masquerade makes her debut, Flash asks himself what kind of name is that, clearly not being impressed by it. Lady Masquerade, before revealing her identity as Trixie, then speaks from right above him, saying at least she has a superhero name and asks if Flash would call himself "Alien Watch-Man".
  • During the montage of Lady Masquerade saving people, Flash tries to go Firefly to save people from a park fire, but accidentally gets Bushwhacker instead, perhaps the worst alien he could have gotten for that situation. He still tries helping anyway, and ends up getting set on fire.
  • Trixie ends up reverting to her usual annoying personality due to now becoming a superhero herself, to the annoyance of her friends. She even lets the fame of being a Celebrity Superhero get to her and considers revealing her Secret Identity so she can possibly get a movie deal, dismissively asking "What has keeping a secret identity ever done to benefit super heroes?" and ignoring Applejack's blunt answer of "Stopped criminals they beat from taking revenge on them through those they love". There's being a Smug Super, and then there's Trixie.
  • When Devious arrives and Trixie realizes he is after the medallion that gave her her powers, she notes to herself with a smirk that he is her "Vilgax". Not only is she excited to have her own Arch-Enemy like Flash, it is also funny in a sense for fans of the original series, that Devious is more of an Expy of Hex rather than Vilgax.

"Ice to Meet You"

  • During a hot day in Canterlot, Flash comments how he prefers cold weather over hot weather any day. You can just tell that Tempting Fate is in full effect with this, considering he ends up fighting an ice alien not long later.
  • Flash and Trixie have a brief discussion of what Firefly's home planet might be like, since Flash never gets hot when he transforms into him or any other aliens. After Trixie makes a suggestion that Firefly's planet is "a giant volcano covered planet that's always spilling magma" and says you would need to be fireproof to live somewhere like that, Flash comments how that makes a lot of sense, which is odd for Trixie.
Flash: You've been hanging out with Twilight too much.
  • Vilgax, the Big Bad of the story, is reduced to being a Plot-Irrelevant Villain for the chapter. He simply sends out a surveillance drone to gain more intel on the wielder of the Omnitrix during Gelidafur's crime spree. Not only does Vilgax fail to discover Flash's identity, the drone is constantly getting caught in the crossfire of various battles and is eventually destroyed by a stray shot without anyone ever realizing it was there.

"Revelations"

  • When the Rainbooms confront Flash over his connection to the aliens and question him about his "watch", Pinkie is looking at him with the least suspicion, almost as if she doesn't even get why they are questioning him.
  • Flash manages to avoid the Rainbooms by ducking into the one place they can't follow him: the boy's bathroom. Their attempts to just wait for him to come out don't work either since the bell rings and Principal Celestia walks by telling them to get to class.
  • While Volt-Edge is busy destroying Vilgax's drones, Twilight questions him if Flash Sentry is connected to him and the other aliens. Volt-Edge is shocked that she's asking him this now of all times.
  • During the fight against Vilgax on his ship, Vilgax rants about all the trouble humans have been for him over the years, with the first thing he mentions being how they "destroyed his cherry tree". If you are aware of Vilgax's origins then this Makes Sense In Context and acts as a Mythology Gag, but even then it is still a funny line an average fan probably wouldn't expect Vilgax to say.

    Season 2
"Plumbing School"
  • Rarity suggests that Flash can use his aliens to help her creates some of her dress models.
  • In the second test Flash and Shining do, Flash attempts Cutting the Knot like Shining did in the last one by prying open the box instead of trying to figure out the combination to it. This attempt fails and he gets green goo shot in his face.
Fuego: I should have probably mentioned that any attempt to force it open, will activate the booby trap.
    Flash: You think?
  • The summary of the tests Flash and Shining did are basically a big Failure Montage for Flash.
  • When Animac loses control of his mutants and is forced to return them to normal to stop them from attacking him, most of them wander off once they are back to normal. One hornet though takes a moment to sting him on the nose before flying away. Then he realizes he still has several angry aliens to deal with, and Shining Armor pointing a high-tech gun at his head, and promptly asks to be sent to jail.

"New Alien On the Block"

  • Rarity insists on being inside a large plastic bubble at the junkyard, despite it being incredibly hot. Part of the reason is because she knows what will happen when Rainbow and XLR8 arrive at the end of their race. She is proven right when the two of them end up kicking up a huge cloud of dust upon arriving, and Rarity is the only one not coughing from it, looking smug inside her bubble.
  • Rainbow is upset over narrowly losing to XLR8 and considers wearing shorts and shaving her legs for extra speed.
  • Flash has trouble controlling his new alien Lindwhirl, partially due to having trouble even standing due to its lack of legs.
  • When Flash as Lindwhirl curls up into a ball for the first time, biting down on his own tail due to instinct, it is to the confusion and disgust of everyone else watching.
  • Shining Armor refers to The Empire Strikes Back as "that really old movie with the metal camels on the snow planet", when suggesting Firefly try doing the same trick to stop the Tarrasque. However, this plan fails, since once Firefly ties up its front legs in silk, it simply raises both of its front legs together and continues forward instead of tripping over itself.

"Grounded"

  • The first scene of the chapter has a news announcer commenting on footage of Diamondhead stopping some robbers and wondering aloud what the alien heroes are doing right now. One Answer Cut later has Flash getting grounded by his parents.
  • Flash's flimsy excuses of why he has been missing so many classes. He was absent from Gym class because he was in study hall, and was absent from study hall because he was in gym.
  • Flash's mom suggests he use his extra free time while grounded to learn something productive, stating she learned Prench when she was grounded as a kid once. Flash points out one year when they went to Prance she kept getting them lost, unable to read the road signs, and when she says she learnt enough to ask where the bathroom is, which Flash also counters saying he has the memory of crossing his legs for three hours before going in the bushes.
  • After Trixie steals The Hypnotist's headband, but he refuses to tell how to release his mind-control, Trixie gripes it probably won't be as easy as saying "I release you from my control", only for that to work instantly and free everyone.
  • It turns out The Hypnotist's real name was Periwinkle Primrose. No wonder he wanted to be called something else.

"Ten Aliens and a Baby"

  • The chapter begins with some criminals planning their bank robbery. Some of them are worried about what will happen if any of the alien heroes show up, with some hoping they choose to sleep in that day, though also admit what are the odds of that happening. The next scene opens with Flash sleeping in the next morning, hoping to have a lazy Saturday.
  • When Flash is left alone with Flurry Heart, he awkwardly asks her "So...how's life as a baby?" as if trying to make small talk with her. Flurry just tilts her head at him before suddenly looking upset, and then bursts out crying.
  • Flash is nervous when he finds out from Shining that Flurry isn't potty trained yet, meaning that eventually he will need to go through the dreaded diaper change with her. After Flash promises Flurry he will do anything to make her happy, she immediately makes a mess in her diaper, causing Flash to react in horror.
Flash: I know I said anything but... really?
[Flurry crosses her arms and pouts at him, as if to say "You promised!"]
  • Flash uses Molestache's hair strands to change Flurry's diaper and keep her entertained.
  • When Flash takes Flurry to the park to burn off her energy, he gets stared at by a lot of parents there, who apparently think he is Flurry's teenage father. When one mother approaches them and gives some Condescending Compassion, saying how cute Flurry is and that she probably looks more like her mother, Flash gets in some passive aggressive combat by casually saying she is a good balance of both her parents and they asked him to babysit her, and bluntly saying not to assume the worst about a teenager with a baby. When the woman quickly walks away in embarrassment, Flash says to Flurry how that felt good.
  • After Flurry messes with the Omnitrix and transforms Flash into Riot-Horn, he groans at her over this, while she simply laughs at the appearance of another new friend.
  • When Gizmo has his laptop confiscated by the police, they open it and look at the open windows. One makes them react in disgust, with one commenting Gizmo seriously needs to get a girlfriend, implying he had porn open.
  • Whenever Flash had to change Flurry's diaper, he can't get it to stick and eventually just duct-tapes it to her. Cadance gets a laugh when she sees this herself when she and Shining return at the end, and shares how Shining put the diaper on backwards in his first attempt.

"They Came From the Deep"

  • Despite this chapter essentially being an Unexpectedly Dark Episode, there are a few moments worth a chuckle.
    • Flash says he learned that XLR8 can move fast enough to run on water and tries to demonstrate during an emergency. But he ends up getting Lindwhirl instead, his most clumsy alien that doesn't even have legs, forcing him to swim out the old fashioned way.
    • Due to Flash not thinking his plan through he ends up accidentally revealing his Secret Identity to an entire ship crew of coastguard. Though his secret is thankfully saved since nearly all of them are captured and placed in pods that just so happen to cause Laser-Guided Amnesia.

"Hot Rods and Hot Dates"

  • Trixie being a troll to Flash to get him to make a profile on a blind date site. When she threatens to make on for him herself and see what happens, she thinks of making his username "Alien boy".
  • Timber comes off as pretty insensitive early on. When he hears how Flash is on a blind date he states he never saw the appeal to them, hating having to spend the day with someone if they don't look good, with Twilight giving him a Dope Slap on the shoulder. Then when he gets a look at Flash's date, Adagio Dazzle, he comments "Wow, she's hot". He should be lucky Twilight was too busy focusing on who Adagio is to care about that comment.
  • Flash is understandably on edge with Adagio after what she did to him last time, but Adagio doesn't initially recognize who Flash is before realizing he goes to CHS. When she convinces him to go through with their date and he tries his best to ignore her, she eventually asks him what he does in his free time besides "ignoring gorgeous girls".
  • After Adagio and Timber discover Flash's secret, Adagio surprises Flash when she says she has no problem keeping the Omnitrix a secret without even threatening to blackmail him. Her reasoning is that keeping a secret is more fun than sharing it with everyone because then she can mentally go 'I know something you don't' to anyone. Flash comments that is kinda immature, but decides to take it.
  • Adagio eagerly agrees to help Flash and Twilight stop Dragstar and jumps in Flash's car while saying how the night gets better and better. Meanwhile, Timber comes along but makes it clear he would rather not be there.
  • Adagio looks up images of Flash's alien forms online, and when she finds photos of his most recent alien, Squidstrictor, she sees his tentacles and immediately wonders if Flash would mind turning into him for... certain activities if they become an Official Couple.
  • Similar to Shining Armor a few chapters ago, Adagio comes up with a plan to defeat Dragstar's machine inspired by The Empire Strikes Back. However, she doesn't remember its exact name, only remembering "Star... something" and that Aria watched it.
  • After his machine is destroyed and Adagio steals his tube of alien-tech, Dragstar is easily beaten by Diamondhead simply bringing his fist down on his head, breaking apart his helmet and leaving him with a Cranial Eruption as he is knocked out.
    Adagio: Nighty night.

"Return of the Masquerade"

  • Flash attempts to break his high-score at the arcade and comments that he'll be able to do it as long as nothing distracts him. Right as he is about to do it, he gets a call from Shining Armor, causing him to lose and let out a Big "NO!" before answering his phone with a huff.
  • Aareus taking in the strange new world, having not explored much the last time he was there. When he attracts some unwanted attention and is almost arrested XLR8 arrives to vouch for him and run him to safety.
  • Trixie reveals Flash's secret to Aareus when he transforms back to normal in her house, pointing out it is easier than making up an excuse and that he can't really blab his secret to anyone anyway due to being from another universe.
  • Trixie's father Jackpot had just as much trouble as she did in his early career. The flashback of his memories begins with him accidentally setting fire to his stage and forced to flee from the club when the employees chase after him angrily. He has also apparently been banned from several clubs due to these kinds of disasters. Like Father, Like Daughter.

"Trixie's Destiny"

"The Visitor"

  • Flash rides around on his hoverboard to help decorate Shining's house. When Twilight questions him on this he just says he gets to do whatever he wants to enjoy helping Shining and that he needs practice on the board.
    Twilight: (rolls her eyes) Boys.
  • As everyone is trying to think of ways to hide Xylene from Cadance or any other possible civilians, Trixie suddenly remembers she can create an illusion to make Xylene look like a regular human. After being sad for so long about not having powers like her friends so she could help, Trixie momentarily forgot once she finally got them back. Too bad it ended up being a moot point since Vilgax's drone attacked before they could do Trixie's idea.
  • Flash ends up accidentally blowing his secret to Cadance by transforming into Vapaw in front of her. Shortly afterwards, Shining is forced to activate his suit in order to protect Cadance from the drone, blowing his own secret to her as well.
  • Xylene gives Flash some tips about the Omnitrix, telling him about the different modes he has and what color represents them. When Flash asks her what mode orange represents, she simply says "Self destruction. Don't use that one." This also serves as a Brick Joke back to the first chapter, when Flash was briefly tempted to activate the watch when it was orange and see what happened.
  • Xylene also briefly tells Flash about the creator of the Omnitrix, but teases him by refusing to share his name with Flash.

"A Villain's Level Up

  • When Sunset calls Flash at 3:00 in the morning to tell him how Negatine is causing trouble, she ends up waking him up from the best dream ever. In it he had defeated Vilgax, eliminated all evil in the galaxy, and discovered a way to make cabbage taste like ice cream. Then as everyone is cheering for him he is given a bouquet and sash saying 'Hero of Heroes, and was about to kiss a pretty supermodel before his phone goes off.
  • After Negatine gets away and Flash changes back to normal, he decides he can't call Shining Armor until the morning to tell him because he doesn't want to risk angering Cadance by waking her, Shining, or potentially Flurry. He also realizes he left his wallet at home, so he can't pay for a taxi or bus and needs to wait for the Omnitrix to recharge to get home.
  • Adagio helps get Flash out of his doubts of going up against Negatine by flicking him on the ear.
  • Adagio blatantly tells the Rainbooms that if they think she is only dating Flash to get to them as revenge then they need to realize the world doesn't revolve around them. That says a lot coming from someone who once wanted the whole world to adore her and her sisters.
  • The penultimate scene of everyone playing the new video game in Sunset's apartment includes Flash giving bad advice on dodging the fruit in the game, saying it is easier when you have alien powers. Later Twilights says with Negatine's data destroyed they don't need to worry about anymore clones of Flash, Adagio teases him saying as fun as he is the world doesn't need two Flash Sentry's. Flash retaliates by covering Adagio's eyes, forcing her to play the game blind.

"Glitches"

  • When Adagio's sisters officially meet Flash, Flash needs to remind them, just like with Adagio, that they've met before.
    • When Flash tells them that they brainwashed him, Aria says he needs to be more specific, since they've brainwashed a lot of humans over the thousands of years they've been there.
    • After Flash reminds them how they faced his band during the Battle of the Bands, Aria remembers him and says she hopes he isn't still sore about them "kicking their butts". Flash is annoyed at her for this and states that they only beat him and his band because they were using magic to cheat. Adagio herself laughs at this and states "Yeah, keep telling yourself that pretty boy," as Flash pouts.
  • Aria wonders why Adagio changed her mind about only having a fling date with Flash and decided to keep dating him. Sonata guesses it is because he has a Gag Penis, and as she tries to guess its size, telling Adagio to "say when" as she stretches her finger further apart, she gets worried when they end up being a foot apart. Adagio just rolls her eyes at her youngest sister's suggestion.
  • When Flash leaves early to help against Gal-N, Adagio ditches her sisters as well to join him, claiming the two of them are "big girls" and can take care of themselves.
  • It turns out Adagio doesn't have a driver's license, despite how she and her sisters drive around in a van together. When Flash asks her about this, Adagio doesn't see the point of having one since she claims she has been driving since the first automobile was ever created.

"Taking Flight"

  • The big truck accident that escalates to everyone finding Icarus is started because the truck driver accidentally spilled his piping hot coffee on himself, leading to him accidentally spin the truck out of control. There's definitely a lesson about driving safely in there somewhere.
  • While attempting to stop the truck, Kagenobi rushes to save an old lady trying to cross the street, who is apparently oblivious of the danger. Before he can reach her though, Icarus swoops in and grabs her by the shoulders, lifting her up, and she continues to move as if she was still walking on the ground.
  • Icarus apologizes to Kagenobi for the "save block" before advising him to go help the other girl with the pipe, referring to Applejack. When he returns to help Applejack he states that apparently Icarus never read the "superhero rule about stealing someone else's save".
  • Once everything is settled down, Kagenobi discreetly follows Icarus from a distance until she returns to normal. Once he sees her civilian identity, Fleetfoot, he notes that she is an Identical Stranger to Trixie with the two practically looking like twins... or triplets if you remember Aareus.
  • When Kagenobi confronts Fleetfoot about being Icarus, the Omnitrix chooses that moment to finally turn Flash back to normal. All Flash can do is scream "Not now!" before turning back to normal right in front of Fleetfoot. Flash just smirks nervously as she looks at him confused, and as he muses now they both know who the other is he quickly takes a photo of her with his phone to figure out who she is in case she tries to run away.
  • During the fight with Devious, he causes Rainbow and XLR8 to slip on some ice he covers the ground with, with Rainbow complaining "Not again!" as she slams into a dumpster.

"Freeze Ups and Melt Downs"

  • When Flash examines Flurry's plushies and notices they are all cute versions of his aliens, he asks if someone is using his likeness to sell toys, before Cadance says they are all self-made by her. When Flash also asks if he really looks that cute in alien form, Cadance admits she took some liberties in making them, since they are meant to be kids toys.
  • Rainbow comments how a cute alien would probably be useless and how all of Flash's aliens are badass, before Cadance silently points out how her baby daughter is listening.
  • When transformed into a skunk-like alien, Flash is horrified by the idea of doing what a normal skunk does and spraying the villains with stink, saying that's where he draws the line. He unfortunately doesn't have much choice, and sends the villains running when he sprays them. This also leaves his friends covering their noses and trying to keep their distance from him.
  • Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rarity, and Trixie all gush over how cute Flash looks as Pesky Dust, with everyone else rolling their eyes at this display.
  • Pesky Dust accidentally puts Pinkie to sleep and discovers he can enter dreams by entering hers when trying to wake her.
  • Rarity is disgusted by Flash's transformation into The Worst, with Flash unable to dispute her claim, thus The Worst getting his Atrocious Alias.
  • Hectrix clearly didn't think his choices through when picking what forms to trap Flash in, thinking small aliens are automatically weak. Besides him turning Flash into the skunk alien earlier, he ends up accidentally turning him into Grey Matter, who ends up helping to save the day with his Super-Intelligence.
  • When Cadance sees pictures of Flash's new aliens, she has some Pronoun Trouble With Pesky Dust, momentarily forgetting that despite the girly appearance he is still technically Flash.

"The Invasion of Canterlot"

  • Flash talks to Trixie about his dilemma of wanting to ask Adagio to the Fall Formal but switching back and forth on whether to do it or not, with Trixie clearly getting annoyed as she switches from telling him "then don't invite her" and "then invite her".
  • Flash is nervous about Adagio meeting his parents, afraid she is going to do something to make them hate her. We don't see them interacting on-screen together, but Flash's mother calls Adagio a "lovely girl", to Flash's surprise.

"Secrets of the Omnitrix"

  • After Azmuth takes the Omnitrix from Flash and reviews the footage from it, he notes how Flash seems to have trouble looking the females of his species in the eyes, to Flash's embarrassment. Who would have thought that Nice Guy Flash was a Covert Pervert?
Azmuth: I'd be amazed if you could describe this Cadance woman you know since you seem to spend so much time staring at her-
Flash: Can we change the subject!?
  • Flash saves the Opticoid alien before he can be sucked into the vortex. but then immediately freezes him to a rock as Arctiguana to stop him from interfering anymore.

    Season 3
"World Famous"
  • The opening scene gives a news report about Flash being revealed as the alien heroes, revealing that he has been arrested. As the reporter says one can only wonder what Flash is thinking about right now, we get an Answer Cut as the next scene opens with Flash in a cell, trying to eat a ham sandwich.
    Flash: This food sucks.
  • Azmuth states he is surprised Flash managed to take such good care of his Omnitrix, expecting someone of his species to break the faceplate off or something. Flash rolls his eyes and asks what kind of idiot would do that anyway. This is a blatant Take That! at the time Ben did exactly that, in one of his most infamous Too Dumb to Live moments.
  • After it is revealed that Flash's skunk alien, U-Reek-Ah is actually smart enough to understand Azmuth's Techno Babble, to the surprise of everyone else, Azmuth explains that although the species isn't as smart as Galvins like him they are still smarter than humans. He then makes a comparison, saying if he were a regular human and they were all cavemen, U-Reek-Ah would be about as intelligent as a human from the 18th century.
President: I'm not sure, but I think I was just insulted.
    Guard: I'm sure.
  • After U-Reek-Ah gets the crooks to disarm their own bomb, he stops them from stealing anything from the vault by spraying them all with his gas. This results in the three of them running out of the bank screaming and immediately surrendering to the police, begging them to keep the "horrible monster" away from them. When Flash comes out shortly afterwards, he tells them the rest of the crooks are still inside, but then hear their own cries of horror as the stink reaches the lobby, and Flash advices the police wait five minutes first.
  • Flash's parents give him their permission to keep using the Omnitrix and being a hero, but warn him he isn't allowed to shirk his education, saying they will ground him again if his grades drop because he was off being a "little green man". Flash is just shocked that he still needs to go to school.
  • Vice-Principal Luna asks Flash to refrain from transforming into an alien around school. Unless they are suddenly invaded by an alien monster of course.

"The Mysterious Creature"

  • Azmuth outright admits to everyone that he lied to the world leaders when he said it would take centuries to create another Omnitrix, and only said that to get them to stop demanding he create one for each of their countries.
  • Azmuth advices Flash recalibrate the Omnitrix on a more regular basis. The whole reason Flash wanted to avoid doing so before was because he was worried recalibrating it could reset his aliens he has come to love, but Azmuth reveals that will only happen if the Omnitrix goes through a big recalibration if it isn't used for several years, meaning Flash's actions were pretty much counterproductive to his fears.
  • Flash is annoyed when a news report on the radio talks about how badly his fight with the Griffon went, since he wasn't able to transform at first until he scanned the Griffon and was just standing around. When another reporter tries to speak in his defense he comes off as condecending instead, with Flash not sure if that is better or worse.
  • Shining Armor tells Flash he can either moan about how others feel about him or work to improve himself and make less mistakes. Flash decides he'll moan about it while working to improve himself, which Shining says is acceptable.
  • Trixie suggests that Flash start doing a Transformation Name Announcement whenever he turns into one of his forms. Flash likes the idea and starts doing it, and at one point when he turns into Volt-Edge and shouts his name when no one else is around, Trixie is glad he is taking her advice but asks who that was supposed to be for, with Flash saying he is just trying to make it into a reflex.
  • After Flash takes care of Drift, the next news report covering this is much more positive for Flash. But when it shows him transforming into Pesky Dust the reporter jokes that they've found the alien every girl will want a plushie of, with Flash being embarrassed over this as his friends all laugh.

"Old Friends, New Friends"

  • At a coffee shop, one girl recognizes Adagio from always hanging out with Flash, and shows several pictures on her phone of the two together, such as in Flash's car. Adagio asks where she found all these pictures from, which goes unanswered.
  • Shining Armor notices how awkward Flash and Princess Twilight are around each other, not knowing about their former mutual crushes on each other, and wonder if Flash and his sister's doppelgänger have history together.
  • Flash and Princess Twilight are ambushed by "the most vile species in this and any other galaxy": Paparazzi. Flash eventually goes Gryforce just to get them out of there.
  • Princess Twilight is shocked to learn that her former crush, Flash Sentry is dating one of her former enemies, Adagio Dazzle.
  • After Princess Twilight says she is actually already in a relationship herself now, Flash asks if her boyfriend's name is Timber Spruce. Twilight has no idea who that is.
  • Flash is worried that since Adagio declared herself his girlfriend, he is going to be seen as a two-timer if he hangs out with any other girls now. Adagio understands how ridiculous this can get for any boy and girl who aren't related, recalling a time two celebrities, who always stated they hated each other, were thought to have been dating because they were working on the same movie.

"Ready to Rumble"

  • Flash gets invited to an AWF event. After Iron Will wins his match, he calls out to Flash in the crowd, challenging him to a match. Flash is shocked and asks his friends if they think he only got the tickets for this exact reason, with them only nodding in agreement.
  • Trixie's Hypocritical Humor of talking down about Iron Will's Third-Person Person way of speaking, asking who does that without any hint of irony. Flash and Applejack shoot her an unbelievable look.
  • In order to get Iron Will to agree to give up his medallion, Flash needs to challenge him to a rematch with some increased stakes. If Flash wins then Iron Will gives up the medallion, but if Iron Will wins then Flash needs to join him on his next tour, where he will essentially be Iron Will's jobber and constantly get his butt kicked by him to increase Iron Will's fanbase.
  • After Iron Will relinquishes the Iron Bull Medallion, it initially tries to pick Flash as its new worthy user. But Flash bluntly tells it "no" and directs it towards Trixie, with it immediately going to her instead. It isn't every day you see someone literally reject being chosen to use a powerful artifact that Only the Chosen May Wield.
  • Devious creates gravity runes to create an area of increased gravity, with everything inside being a hundred times heavier. It is described as even their hair feeling like a hundred pounds. Considering the size of Adagio's hair, it must have been extremely painful for her.
Adagio: Great. I was hoping to lose a few pounds. Now they're gonna be crushed out of me.

"Hunter of Pearl"

  • Flash is Distracted by the Sexy when Adagio shows off her two-piece swimsuit and moves her wet hair out of her face.
  • Flash grows at the Onitrix "You turn me into Vapaw, you're dead meat." before turning into Squidstrictor.
  • Dynamo Danger, hunting the same creature as Flash and his friends, foolishly attacks Flash while he's in alien form, mistaking him for the mysterious creature he's after. Flash, Shining, and Adagio all call him out in this stupid mistake and butting into their business. Then when the creature destroys Dyano's mech he has the nerve to blame Flash for it. Overall, they treat Dynamo like more of an annoyance than anything, until the climax of the chapter.

"Good Copy, Bad Copy"

"A Dazzling Dispute"

  • It is pointed out that Adadio and her sisters have no official form of ID or anything to held hide that they are creatures from another world despite how long they have lived in the human world. Sunset has more proof of her identity than them since she actually brought a bunch of gems and bits from Equestria she used to purchase everything she needed, including her apartment. Shortly after Tirek offers her and her sisters a chance to become fashion models, Adagio has Twilight whip up al the documents and ID that she and Sunset mentioned they would need.
  • Adagio's decent into becoming a demanding diva includes a lot of outrageous demands, like at a fancy restaurant she demands a window table that is close to the restroom but not close enough to hear the flushing.
  • Adagio forces Flash to eat certain meals, nothing "childish or uncultured" like spaghetti and meatballs. Flash is unsatisfied with the "meal" she gets him and forces him to finish, and decides to get a burger when she isn't looking.
  • During the first fight with Scales, Aria and Sonata are both in awe at Flash going hero and handling things, while Adagio meanwhile is bored and tells Flash to hurry it up so he can drive them to their commercial shoot.
  • After Adagio helps Flash against Scales by stealing a glass diamond from the set, she is sure that since it looked so expensive there is no way they just happen to have a replacement. One cut back to set reveals they have five replacements ready.

"Tick Tock, Slows The Clock"

  • When Nelly shows up to compete in the race, one of the meaner racers jokes that the hotdog eating contest is down the street. Nelly not recognizing the insult is surprised to hear there's a hotdog eating contest and says its too bad she's already in this race during it.
  • Everyone's reactions when Nelly ends up winning the race, going from dead last all the way to beating Rainbow.
  • When everyone is looking for Nelly at her " favorite place in the world", which turns out to be a pizza restaurant, they ask the hostess where she is, with Applejack in her usual blunt way saying that she's "really fat", and the hostess immediately pointing them to her.
  • Flash sits down with Nelly and says they need to talk, and Nelly immediately assumes he wants to ask her to join his superhero team, getting excited at working with The Plumber and Lady Masquerade.
  • Devious proves to be even more dangerous when he manages to use his newly obtained Mad Monkey Medallion to make everyone too disoriented to fight back properly, but when he switches to his usual Radiant Dragon Medallion to fight Dragoon, he realizes his mistake when everyone else returns to normal and is forced to retreat before he can switch back.
  • It is said that the Rapid Turtle Medallion uses a lot of energy from its user, which they need to replenish. So immediately after Nelly uses it to run away from Devious, she stops at a sweets store for a treat.
  • When trying to confront Nelly at her house without her running away, Pinkie gets an idea and changes into a pizza delivery uniform before knocking on Nelly's door and claiming its a pizza delivery. Everyone else rolls their eyes, thinking there's no way Nelly would fall for that, only for Nelly to open the door and eagerly grab the box before noticing everyone. When they force their way in to talk to her, Nelly sits down at a table and sees the pizza box Pinkie gave her actually has a full pizza in it.

"Viral Infection"

  • Flash is invited to the tech expo because he has the Omnitrix, getting the chance to show it off. However, he can only explain what it does, and is unable to answer any specific questions on how it works. Maybe he should have invited Azmuth to explain, or changed into one of his smarter aliens like Grey Matter for that part.
  • After Viral accidentally breaks Twilight's car model, Twilight screams "MY CAR!" when she sees it broken, bringing to mind the Running Gag from the original series with Kevin's car always getting damaged.
  • The fact that Micro Chips built an AI that turned evil and attacked everyone brings to mind a similar situation from the canon series when one of his inventions went out of control in "Cheer You On". Maybe he should just stop making AIs while he can.

"Smashing the Competition"

"Base Invasion"

  • Flash promises Shining Armor the base won't have a scratch on it when he gets back, the same day Tirek plans to steal back the hybrids. When Shining returns at the end to see all the damage still being repaired, Twilight can only say "they can explain".
  • The gang hanging out at the base all day unknowingly complicates Tirek's planned heist, since he had hoped that the base would be practically empty.
  • When Cadance comes to help Twilight against the sabotage robots with a broom. Shortly after they are dealt with, Twilight asks where Flurry is, with the toddler crawling into the room with a determined look on her face, apparently having disobeyed Cadance telling her to stay where it was safe and wanting to help her mommy and aunt fight.
  • Flash transforms into Yak-Smasher, with the giant drone glancing between him and Charger in confusion, unsure which one is its target.
  • Shining Armor returns to the base at the end of the chapter and see the damage from the battle still being repaired. When Twilight, Flash, and Adagio run into him, Twilight just tells her brother "We can explain." with Shining understanding this is going to be a long story.

"Age is Just a Number"

  • When Flash and Trixie change ages, their clothes didn't change with them, so Trixie's are too tight on her now adult body, and Flash' barley fit him due to him now being a little kid.
  • When Adagio gets a message from Twilight about what happened to Flash and Trixie, and sees a photo of Flash as a kid, she remarks that she knew she was technically already dating someone younger than her, but not that young.
  • Flash starts acting like an actual eight-year old due to The Mind Is a Plaything of the Body, getting distracted by TV, asking for ice cream, and throwing tantrums.
  • When Adagio is aged into an old woman by Doddery and she and Flash see each other in their changed states, Adagio remarks that their age difference is finally showing.
  • Flash, as kid Volt-Edge, or No-Edge as Trixie calls him, collapses for a nap after having an explosive electric tantrum. As he is napping, he and everyone else are restored to their proper ages, and when he wakes up he doesn't realize how small his clothes are on him now, with him giving a Defensive "What?" to everyone staring at him.

"Tirek's Scheme"

  • There's something funny that the final hybrid, a Diamond Dog, ended up attacking a park where many families were walking their own dogs, including Flash's dog Banana.

"Tirek's Crimes"

  • When trying to locate Scoop's tracking device to find him and the other hybrids, Azmuth lets out a small EMP to disable the shield blocking the signal. When he does, he not only disrupts Tirek attempting to begin his plans for the hybrids, he disables the cloaking device on the ship, leaving Tirek panicking over everything malfunctioning at the worst possible time.

"Tirek's Rampage"

  • Doubling as a heartwarming moment, Adagio surprises Flash by pulling him into a kiss before he leaves to go fight Tirek with the hybrids, to the shock of everyone in the room.
  • Azuth says that not only did the DNA repair system in the Omnitrix turn Tirek back to normal, it also cured Flash of his allergy to shellfish.

    Season 4
"From Time to Time PT1"
  • Flash's appearance in the future confuses quite a few people; especially those that know him as his adult self.
    • Animac thinks Flash made himself look younger due to being insecure about his age.
    • When Flash meets Twilight's future self, she asks if he fought a Chronosapien or something. When Flash turns to Flurry though, Twilight sees her wearing the temporal-phase oscillator belt and puts the pieces together, glancing between her and Flash before screaming Flurry's name in outrage.
    • Cadance is similarly confused by Flash's appearance, but when he looks at Flurry and Flurry just looks down in shame, Cadance lets out a sigh and asks her daughter what she did.

"From Time to Time PT2"

  • Pinkie is revealed to have gained a lot of weight in the future, presumably because of overeating sweets.
  • Flash's future self tries to think of a name for one of his aliens, suggesting "Water Hazard". Flash himself thinks it doesn't really fit and suggests "Overflow" instead.

"Get in the Spider Zone"

  • Flash realizes Chrysalis can't teleport anything that's below her web, and plans to dig underneath her as Diamutt. But he ends up in the sewer, and his sensitive nose gets a full blast of the stink in it. The narration even says he is in hell.

"Digital Dilemma"

  • When Sonata apologizes and promises not to play with anything in the base she doesn't understand anymore, Pinkie says she can show her how everything works since she plays with them all the time. But before they can do anything, Adagio and Aria pull their sister away from Pinkie while screaming a Big "NO!" together, not wanting to see what kind of insane damage those two could cause by playing together.

"No One Can Hear You Scream"

  • The Ickthyperambuloids, Walkatrout's species, are described as one of the weakest sapient aliens in the galaxy and the only reason they have survived this long being because they are so difficult to catch. This, combined with how they are revealed to be the cause of the whole problem of the chapter due to attempting to illegally smuggle the Fictusite, basically makes the chapter one big Take That! at one of Ben's worst and least liked aliens.
  • Nemog attempts to steal the ship that Flash, Shining, and Rarity used to get there in order to save himself. Not only does he fail, getting caught by Rarity and locked in a holding cell, it is revealed that he ended up breaking the ship in his attempt to hot-wire it.

"Love Lost"

  • When Flash, Adagio, and Timber are helping Twilight prepare everything for Shining Armor and Cadance's anniversary, Timber boasts his cooking will make them feel so much love that Flurry might end up an older sister, Twilight and Adagio frowning at the mental image.
  • Spike ends up tracking dirt into the house as soon as they are done cleaning. He agrees to stay outside when they make a fuss over it, instead of taking a bath.
  • When Flurry Heart shows a uncharacteristic violent side towards Adagio, Timber says babies can smell fear and tries to tickle Flurry's cheeks. Flurry suddenly bites his finger, causing him to scream in pain and try to pull away, but Flurry keeps a tight grip until Flash pats her on the back, like he is calling her off.
  • When Timber is affected by the anti-love potion and starts yelling in Twilight's face, it eventually gets to the point where Twilight locks him in her mother's kitchen pantry to get some quiet while she works. Towards the end of the chapter after the cure has been spread throughout Canterlot, Twilight can't help but feel like she's forgotten something. Some banging makes her realize Timber is still locked up, and she runs to her lab to create one more batch of cure for him.

"Break Up Reaction"

  • When Flash's parents give him some advice about dealing with his breakup with Adagio, his dad explains he is still friends with a few of the girls he dated before marrying Flash's mom. His mom acts suspicious about this, only to reveal she already knows and is okay with it.
  • Sonata has been crying nonstop for a week ever since Adagio and Flash broke up. When Flash stops by looking for Adagio, he gets out of there as fast as he can before she can ball all over him.
  • Flash and Adagio making small talk with each other to form a normal friendship with each other, with them "introducing themselves" to each other and discussing their interests.
Flash: Hi, I'm Flash Sentry. I'm a superhero that can transform into a bunch of different aliens. I like music, fast cars and and hate spicy food.
Adagio: I'm Adagio Dazzle. A monstrous sea creature from another world, that's now a human. I like music, making people I don't like squirm and seafood.
    Flash: Seafood, yuck.
Adagio: (frowning) I don't think I wanna be friends with you. [Both of them laugh at this]

"Twilight's Haunting"

  • When Twilight and the others are discussing Flash's "ghost" that they saw, Pinkie briefly asks if he is there with them now and changes into black robes to try summoning him. When they later are able to speak to the transparent Flash, he confirms he was in the room with them when Pinkie tried that but wasn't able to make himself visible then.
  • Everyone is so busy speaking to Flash and trying to get him back to normal that they basically ignore the bomber for awhile until he tries blowing up the device that would return Flash to normal.
  • Ghostfreak gives the bomber a wedgie.

"Group Therapy"

"Ghostfreaked Out"

  • Zs'Skayr jumping from body to body in rapid succession during the fight is somewhat humorous, especially when he possesses Sunset and everyone thinks they'll have a chance due to her magic not being for combat, only for her to start doing kicks, chops, and judo throws on them due to taking a self-defense class.
  • When Flash asks anyone if they know a place with barley any clouds and lots of sunlight that can keep him safe from Zs'Skayr, Twilight jokingly suggests the Sahara, only for Flash to not be in the mood. This actually ends up being useful in the climax when Flash has himself and Zs'Skayr teleported to the Sahara Desert, where the sunlight almost instantly destroys Zs'Skayr.

"Stars and Shields Forever"

  • Flash finds himself attracted to Amethyst Star when he sees a picture of her dressed as a traditional nerd, with her wearing glasses and her hair in a ponytail. This suggests that Flash has a thing for cute nerds, especially remembering his crush on both versions of Twilight.
  • Trixie proves that Amethyst has a Medallion by throwing some makeup at her, with her reflexively using her powers to stop it from hitting her.
  • When saying goodbye to the Dazzlings at the airport, while Flash and Adagio are hugging each other goodbye, Adagio whispers to Flash that he was right and his band would have beaten them in the Battle of the Bands if they hasn't of used their magic, but says if he ever asks again she'll deny it. Flash just smirks at this though, probably satisfied that he was right. Then after they both pull away, Adagio surprises Flash with a goodbye kiss on the lips, shocking everyone with this, with even Flash being described as "brain dead" until she pulls away.

"Ten V Ten"

  • When Flash starts to get a bit too overconfident when everyone is preparing to attack the villains' base, Azmuth throws a device that hits him on the back of his head, with him giving a pained "Ow!"
  • When Shadow makes his reveal to everyone, he describes Flash has his "less handsome twin".

"The Ultimate Opponent PT1"

  • When Shadow announces the name of the team of villains he has brought together as "The Negative Ten", Flash tries to play it cool.
Flash: Only ten, huh? What happen? Vilgax and Tirek have Knicks tickets?
  • After informing Azmuth of the Ultimatrix, Azmuth says that it must come from a universe where he's a complete idiot, unaware that he wasn't the one who created it, Albedo was.

"The Ultimate Opponent PT2"

  • Flash, Trixie, and Shining easily goad Shadow into fighting them alone without the help of his nine cronies by mockingly calling him a coward, with Trixie singing "Shadow the coward" over and over. This minor blow to his ego is enough to get Shadow mad enough to ignore the other members of the Negative Ten pointing out it is obviously a trap.
  • Shadow overloads the Plumber Base's power generator so it will destroy the city, intending to survive it himself by transforming into The Worst. Before he can though, a stray bolt zaps him and knocks him out. He remains unconscious even as Flash steals the Ultimatrix's core from him.
  • Upon learning how Shadow intends to destroy the city, Devious and Chrysalis promptly end their alliance with the rest of the Negative Ten and teleport away to save themselves.
