  • Yang and Ruby are going to Patch to pick up Yang's present and show off their home to their friends. Weiss and Blake have different motives: the former expresses an interest in "seeing what kind of environment you were raised in to get to this point" and the latter because "I just want to get away from the dog."
  • Weiss attempts to buy the guidebook Heavy Scribe's Field Guide to Tamriel, 3rd Edition, only to realize that lien is not legal tender in this new land. Fortunately, Team RWBY is able to barter for it, but at a price Blake considers too high.
Blake: (practically crying) I can't believe you traded so much fish!
Weiss: It would have gone bad before we used it, and she has mouths to feed. Besides, if I thought there's one thing that you'd appreciate trading fish for it would be a book.
    Blake: Not just one.
  • Upon learning that they're essentially broke in Tamriel, Ruby attempts to comfort Weiss with a hand on her shoulder and the encouragement, "It's okay, Weiss. Be strong!"
  • Team RWBY's first encounter with the Khajiit is quite a shock for them, as the family they meet represent the vastly differnt morphologies of that race, which range from giant tigers to Cat Folk to mostly human-looking to housecats.
Ruby: (to what she thinks is a housecat) Well hey there. How are you today, little fella?
Alfiq: (in a masculine voice) This one is well and good.
  • Weiss is unimpressed with the Empire's history, not realizing what she's read is actually 100% true.
Weiss: Maybe not, but they honestly believed the Imperial line was chosen and/or descended from the Gods.
    Ruby: So, it got better?
Weiss: If you can call the least terrible warlord after a near-collapse of society better? A collapse that apparently came from a literal invasion from Hell?
  • In their quest to find Dust, the girls decide to approach a Court Wizard:
Ruby: (giggling) Boy, it'd be something if they used "real" magic.
    Weiss: Haha. As if.
  • In the game, the Faendal-Sven-Camilla Love Triangle quest is a tangled web of deceit with both men trying to sabotage the other and the player having to choose whose gambit to facilitate and whether to reveal the truth or the deceit, and, if the latter, which deceit. Blake, having a luxury the player doesn't have, tells Camilla everything, and she and Weiss get to enjoy the spectacle of Camilla excoriating the two men like a couple of naughty children.
  • Still unaware that she's become a vampire, Weiss, with Blake, see some travelling Khajiit merchants in Riverwood to see if any of their medicine might help. The healer, Ko'ari, prepares a concoction that she thinks might help Weiss, a concoction that includes moon sugar. Within in seconds Weiss begins exhibiting Ruby-level manic energy. Given her normal disposition, the rest of the team is unnerved, with Yang even thinking that such a huge smile on Weiss' face is wrong.
  • While in Bleak Falls Barrow, Ruby hears someone in trouble up ahead and immediately shifts into hero mode... and then shifts right back out of it when she sees the obstacle in her way.
Ruby: Let's gooooooo... That's a lot of web in the way.
  • After collecting a few coins in Bleak Falls Barrow, Ruby and Weiss take a moment to reflect on the unusual longevity of Tamriel's coinage.
Ruby: Hey, did you guys notice that the money here is almost exactly like the current stuff? Like, the only thing different with this is that instead of a dude's face on it, there's a dragon head.
Weiss: It is odd that they haven't changed the currency in what must be at least a thousand years.
  • Team RWBY quickly figures out that destroying a draugr's head takes them out instantly, and what started as a harrowing encounter with the undead quickly becomes an irritating chore.
Yang: (sighing as she casually punches a draugr's head off) These things are getting a little annoying.
  • There's a minor Running Gag of Ruby being unable to properly pronounce the names of places and people in Skyrim. At one point she does it on purpose to mess with Lydia.
  • Weiss develops a habit of taking anything that could be of value, which the others poke fun at.
  • Ruby considers games like tag Serious Business. At one point some children foolishly challenged her and ended up in an exhausted heap, and her playing hide-and-seek reads like something out of a slasher film from the perspective of the kids she’s playing with.
  • Thanks to Ruby's Aura, everyone around Clavicus Vile's statue can hear what he tells her, much to his annoyance, especially when he accidentally lets slip that he can't cure vampirism... to the vampires who had been hoping that he could do just that.
  • A dragon challenges Ruby while she's trying to get to a captured Yang. Furious, when it refuses to back down she makes a comment about salting his tail while fighting him and his cultists.
  • As it turns out, Harpies have a Sweet Tooth. Vertina makes a cake for Capric's birthday, and it's huge.
  • Weiss is not a fan of a Dwemeri puzzle device, and wishes the creators were around so she could say so to their faces.
