Tear Jerker / Of Elder Scrolls and Huntsmen: Dragon Rose

  • The reactions of Team RWBY when they see the night sky and realize that they're not on Remnant. Weiss in particular takes it hard.
  • Yang, not realizing that Aura is unknown on Nirn, accidentally kills a bandit leader by punching his head off. That, and realizing that she'd unwittingly killed two other bandits by shooting them, causes her to start drinking heavily for a while.
  • Weiss, unwittingly having blood-starved herself due to not realizing that she's a vampire now, loses control and drains a bandit that Team RWBY was dealing with (the guy with the golden claw) dry. It's only after the others catch up to her that she realizes what's going on, horrifying her when she returns to her senses.
  • Blake discovering that not only is Weiss a vampire now, there's no known cure for the condition, and having to break it to the others.
  • The vampires in the cave with Vile's statue despairing when he lets slip that he can't cure their vampirism like they'd been hoping he could.
  • Lydia's despair at her inability to keep up with her Thane and her friends, especially when Ruby has to send her back during the second fight against Potema for her own safety.
  • Yang having to Mercy Kill an ancient Draugr who was a queen from the distant past.
  • When Yang decides that she needs to challenge Red Eagle to stop a bloodbath, and since they were partially responsible for his revival, Ruby in particular is worried sick.
  • Kodlak's death. Taken by surprise by a Silver Hand ambush, he refuses to enter wolf form, instead choosing to die as a Nord. Yang desperately tries to heal him after he gets speared In the Back, begging him to hang on so they can cure his lycanthropy and let him pass into Sovengarde, but his wounds are too great. After he passes, the only thing Yang can do is howl out in sorrow, and she's clearly distraught, blue eyes and all, when she returns his body to the Companions. Luckily, she later manages to cure him despite the fact that he's already dead.
  • The Luminoth is the Last of His Kind, having only survived the years by becoming a vampire. Blake clearly feels sympathetic towards him.
