"What’s to like about falling over all the time?"
These are the funny moments of Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville, mostly disregarding the cheesy animation.

In General
- Pretty much every time Zull and Gort get into mishaps due to their incompetence, especially being klutzes, or just fighting each other.
- Danny being, well, Danny. Often at times he's incredibly clumsy or is acting like an actual puppy.
- Koty going on with his constant rambling.
- The fact that Magic is often seen in places a pet normally isn't allowed in. From a theatre to a bumper car ride.
The Friendship Ceremony
- When Zull and Gort start hitting each other out of nowhere after Eva says that “it’s time for a change around here”.
- Dot is cross-eyed in one of the scenes of her Friendship Ceremony.
- Gort taunting Zull after the latter shows his hesitance to take the Friendship Heart. Zull snaps back at him.Gort: Oh, are you a scaredy cat?
Zull: I’m not afraid of anything!
The Unexpected Guest
- When Kate enters the Bear Inn, she sees what seems to be the menacing shadow of a bear, and is startled. When she takes a closer look, turns out it’s just the friendly bear chef Baldo.
Evershell the Wise
- When Magic and Kate come to sit at the table to eat breakfast, Magic says he isn’t that hungry. Seconds later, he mauls a bowl of fruit up.
- Just before leaving the castle, Magic goes back into the Princess Suite to take some more food and runs back with his cheeks full like a hamster’s.
- Krakia’s first appearance. When Zull notices some of his grapes are gone, he blames Gort for it until he looks up to see Krakia eating them. As he tells her to give them back, Krakia spits seeds at him and Gort.
- Krakia makes this face
before Eva pins her to the branch. - Danny randomly doing a flip as he slides with the other guards down the underground tunnel which leads outside the castle. He does another flip in midair as he jumps out of the hole.
Going Home
- When Zull and Gort are covered in mud, especially when Krakia comes in to snark at them.Gort: I'm supposed to look like a Dalmatian.
Zull: You look like an idiot covered in mud!
Gort: Ugh, I look better than you!
Zull: We're doomed! The Royal Guards will recognize us immediately! We look like fools!
[Krakia laughs, startling the duo.]
Krakia: Well, I'm sure you're used to that! [chuckles] - The way three of the Winged Guards get knocked out from flying into the trees Krakia weaves herself through because of her smaller size as they try to get back the Friendship Heart. The Hit Sparks seen just make this scene funnier.
- Danny's even snarky towards one of the Winged Guards.Danny: Does he have to talk so loudly?
A Big Responsibility
- Magic getting scared of a stray cat he and Kate meet:Cat: Huh? [hisses]
Magic: He looks a little grumpy.
Kate: [gasps] Don’t be scared.
Magic: Scared? Me? He’s a cat! - This conversation between Toby and a sheep:Sheep: Hey, Toby, you should taste the grass! You might like it!
Toby: No thanks! You go ahead though! - Danny complaining about not having fun when he is stopped by William when about to follow Balloon and Mela down the tunnel.William: Wait, Danny, we can’t.
Danny: But I want to explore the tunnel!
William: You guys look for the Magic Drop. Danny and I have other things to do.
Danny: Aw, I never get to have any fun!
Crest of a Wave
- Gort missing the point as usual, thinking Eva was referring to the weather instead of their new plan.Eva: [chuckles]
Zull: What’s so funny?
Eva: I sense a good day.
Gort: It looks overcast to me.
Eva: I’m surrounded by fools! - Then, Krakia teases Zull and Gort:Krakia: How are the Loser Twins today? Irritating as usual?
Zull: Hey, watch it! - Eva making Zull and Gort push a motorboat out into the sea for her so she could plant a type of seaweed that can wrap around things.
- Zull and Gort’s comments:
Zull: I could go faster if I had fins!
Gort: I’m sure an outboard motor would have been a better idea. - When Krakia tries to get the Royal Collar from Kate as she and the dogs are trapped by seaweed that were planted by Eva, she gets sprayed with water, which was spat by dolphins who came to rescue Kate and her friends.
- During Kate and Magic’s talk the night after their Pocketville trip, Magic shows that he doesn’t like the idea of a bath.Magic: Plus, all that algae got tangled in my fur!
Kate: How about a nice bath?
Magic: Aw…
Kate: I’m not listening!
Frisbee
- When Kate and Magic arrive back in Pocketville, they land on a pile of pillows outside the castle and note the “soft landing”. They meet the Royal Guards there, who reveal to them it was none other than Danny’s idea.Kate: Danny, you’re full of surprises!
- Eva returns to see that all three of her lackeys had fought with each other inside the hideout.Eva: What the…?! Stop that now! I can’t leave you alone for a minute!
Zull: But it’s all Gort’s fault!
Gort: It was Krakia’s fault!
Krakia: No, it was Gort and Zull!
Eva: Who cares?! Look at this mess!
Zull: We’ll… [Beat] put it all back. - After Kate throws a frisbee from a window of the castle, it makes it to the town below and a poodle immediately starts pursuing it once she sees it. Eventually much of the other dogs follow and crowd around Otto, who caught it.
- Kate throws another frisbee after her friends are caught in the pile of snow the avalanche made, which immediately distracts Zull and Gort.Eva: Foiled by a dumb frisbee!
- When Otto arrives to the Big City, he approaches Liam’s father and grabs the phone out of his hand. The fact the phone just disappears after he grabs it just looks like he’s eating it.
Don’t Be Afraid
- When Milo, the first cat in the queue, comes up to Kate, Magic, and William at the booth. Especially when he gives his not-so-helpful advice and William’s deadpan reaction to it.Milo: My name is Milo!
Kate: So, Milo, any ideas how to overcome a fear of cats?
Milo: Yes. Could get a dog?
William: [Beat] Next. - Then, it was Ellie's turn to give her advice. She explains that nobody should fear cats because they're lovable and nice. Just after, two cats behind her briefly quarrel in the queue until the Royal Guards break it up.
- Danny sniffing for the Magic Drop in the castle kitchen, when Magic thinks he's just sniffing for food instead. William wonders how it ended up there.
- When Eva encounters Camo, she convinces him to join her gang, to which he declines. Then, she orders Zull and Gort to run after him, until the Winged Guards intrude and cause the pair to run the opposite direction in fear.
Food for Thought
- A bit of Black Humor here given how chocolate in Real Life is extremely toxic to dogs, but the fact Magic thinks chocolate is delicious without ever considering its toxicity to his species is just plain hilarious.
- The scene where Goldie is making her soup. The fact she's a lot smaller than a kitchen pot just makes this scene pretty funny.
- When Eva is about to take the Friendship Heart from the sleeping Kate, Goldie suddenly takes it in a tiny whirlwind, then stopping to say "A-ha!" Cue Zull and Gort chasing her and then trying to get her from the crevice in the well.
New Friends
- A waiter at a restaurant is about to give the tray to two customers when Wallace steals it while he is busy looking at a menu. He turns around to see that it isn’t there.
- The fact he didn’t do his job to watch the tray and ended up getting food stolen by a dog of all things just makes it all the funnier.
Woman: Waiter, we ordered breakfast some time ago.
Waiter: Th-the tray, it’s gone! - Kate quipping that Mark must have his head full of microchips because he prefers to play video games over outdoor games.
- Magic finding a mushroom and, out of the blue, biting into it, only to find the Magic Drop.
- Krakia chases Robbie around the forest just as Balloon was busy dealing with Zull and Gort because she got the Royal Collar and the others were still stuck in the hole. Mela points at a tree with a hole bore into its trunk, where Robbie flies out of the way and Krakia ends up getting her beak stuck in the hole.Robbie: She’s practicing to be a woodpecker!
- Balloon puts the chase to an end by leading Zull and Gort towards the ditch, with herself moving out of the way while Zull and Gort pull a Gravitational Cognizance over the hole and fall into the Pit Trap themselves.
- Robbie's antics with Mark after he is sent to him via the Friendship Ceremony. He takes Mark's stylus and flies off with it, prompting a chase between the two of them out of the school in a game of tag.
- A bird, wearing a collar for some reason, randomly flying into an empty classroom because one of the windows are open, suddenly taking a kid’s stylus. Let that sink in.
Patience
- Ava showing shades of a Royal Brat as she insists that she is an actual princess and not a figurative one.Wallace: But you must eat! You’re not fully recovered yet, and you need your strength.
Ava: But I told you, I’m not hungry.
Wallace: You’re not becoming spoiled, I hope. I can’t always bring you milk and cookies…Princess!
Ava: Look, I really am the Princess of Pocket Kingdom!
Wallace: Sure! - Gort sneezing out of nowhere while he and the other lackeys follow Eva.
- Charlie swatting at a fly and not paying attention can get some laughs too.
- All of Eva's lackeys cowering just after they heard Durillia's roaring from the entrance of the cave.
- Ava showing Wallace that she isn't as weak as before by quickly taking his rice bowl away from him.Wallace: Hey! Give that back.
Ava: So, what do you think now? - Ava struggling to keep on her paws while Wallace dismantles the pile of tires, then falling flat on her stomach on the floor rather than on her paws like cats do.
Believe in Yourself!
- One of the players at the volleyball game randomly falling flat on her stomach after the game is finished.
- Ava saying "you're fired" after arguing with Wallace over her state after injuring her leg at the tire pile, as if she were a boss talking to an employee.
- Kate explains to her friends about Valerie, a volleyball player who was seriously lacking in confidence and because of this, it affects how she plays. Balloon notes that she needs a big and strong pet to help her with confidence, but when the Pocketpedia opens, it reveals that it's none other than a dachshund who can help her, which is much smaller than what she expected.
- Other stray dogs chase Wallace and Ava into the warehouse they were in during the previous episode. Ava ends up succeeding in the tire test, to where Wallace says that it's "nothing like a little motivation". Even the other stray dogs agree.
- In the final Pawball match, Zull, Gort, Magic, and Frankie get into a Big Ball of Violence when trying to get to the ball. Kate's team end up winning.
Heads Up
- At the start of Part 2, William says that the competitors will have to use team spirit in the second challenge. Zull and Gort note that they don't know what team spirit is.
- When approaching a tall stone wall before the finish line, instead of letting one step on the other's back and helping the other up like how the other pets do, Zull and Gort try to climb themselves, but end up slamming into the wall.
- It doesn't even help that Gort decides to try again. He makes a head start and end up slamming face-first into the wall again. The dramatic skid sound effect that is made when he slides downwards just makes it even more hilarious.
- Eventually Zull and Gort figure out how to scale the wall, and instead of using each other by having one of them climb atop the back of the other and hop up the wall while helping the other climb up, they both climb up the back of another competitor and knock his teammate off the wall.
The Search
- Zull calling Gort a "doofus" after he considered taking the Friendship Heart in front of the Royal Guards.
- Gort disguised as a snow leopard. Especially since this is the exception to the constant paper-thin disguises the gang use as it actually took more effort.
- Not to mention Eva calling the two twigs used for the two lines of a leopard's face a "lovely mustache".
- The snow leopard's reaction upon seeing the disguised Gort. He immediately starts rushing towards him in pure, frenzied excitement as if he were on a sugar rush, and begins pursuing the scared Gort until he is out of his view.Snow leopard: I don’t believe it. Another snow leopard! I’ve waited years to meet another snow leopard! [starts running]
Gort: Calm down, control yourself! [runs off]
Snow leopard: Wait, come back! We could be friends!- Then Gort hides from him in absolute fear, despite the leopard's friendly demeanor towards him.
Snow leopard: Hey friend! Where are you? [singsong] Come out and play claws and paws!
Gort: [while hiding, shivering] Oh, what did I do to deserve this?- The fact that Eva, Zull, and Krakia were doing absolutely nothing to help Gort just makes it even funnier.
The Bargain
- Zull and Gort go through an area of the swamp that they find creepy, then they are startled by the sound of an owl. They are startled yet again when Krakia appears from the tree.Eva: A crow? You’re scared of a little crow? Can we go now for goodness sake?
Krakia: [laughs] And you think you’d call yourself guard dogs?
Zull: What do you care? You got… wings!
Gort: That’s right! Anytime you get scared you can fly away! Easy! - Magic tries to reach the ball floating in the fountain in the yard of Stephan's house. He gets distracted by seeing the Friendship Trail, and falls in the water.
- While Kate and her friends search for a Magic Drop, William says they don’t grow on trees. However, Danny finds one shining in the branches of a tree, to which William quips that he stands corrected, and that they actually do.
- When Zull and Gort start to quarrel with each other again below the mud trap they set for the Royal Guards to get stuck in, the trap ends up falling on both of them instead. Not to mention the pigs from the nearby farm join in the mud pile while both dogs were still stuck there.
- Oriliam shaking mud off his hoof in frustration. Turns out not all pigs like getting dirty.
- The moment when Kate is about to give Magic a bath.Kate: Get in; a hot bath will relax you and make you feel better.
[Magic walks towards the door.]
Kate: Do I have to pick you up and throw you in?
Magic: Uh, yeah. It’s a bit hot, um, maybe I’ll come back when it’s cooler.
Kate: The water is fine.
Magic: Alright, I’ll get in.
Nearly!
- The small argument between William and Danny.William: We’re running low on supplies, Danny.
Danny: But I’m really busy! Can’t you get Balloon or Mela to take care of it?
William: They always do it, Danny.
Danny: There’s no point changing something that works.
William: Danny, you have to take your turn and no more excuses. - When Eva finds the Magic Drop, Zull thinks he understands why he and the rest of the gang were sniffing around: that they were going to stop anymore Friendship Ceremonies to occur. Turns out it was part of a plan that was completely different.Eva: Here it is! A Magic Drop! My sixth sense was right! I knew there was supposed to be one around here somewhere.
Zull: Oh I get it. Now I understand, Eva.
Gort: You’re such a know-it-all, Zull.
Zull: You’re trying to gather all the Magic Drops so there can’t be anymore Friendship Ceremonies!
Eva: No, you don’t get it, Zull. - When Zull pulls fur from Magic’s coat.Magic: Ouch! Hey, what’d you do that for?
Zull: I thought I saw a flea in your coat.
Magic: A flea? I’ve never had fleas.
Zull: Okay, my mistake. Sorry.
A Bad Fall
- When at the Ice River, Danny falls and tumbles over the ice when he tries to ice skate with the Royal Guards. Not to mention the pets all look funny with their skates only being on their hind paws, making them look like they’re trying to be humans, full stop.
- Danny giving the idea to melt the ice with breath.Danny: Maybe we try to melt it with our warm breath! Come on, it’ll take all of us!
William: You really think you can melt this with your breath?
Danny: I didn’t say it would be quick. It was just a thought!
Kate's Birthday
- This banter between Ava and Wallace:Wallace: If this is you filled with joy, Princess, I hate to see you sad.
Ava: You’re right. Sorry. It’s just that I can’t help thinking about my friends and—
Wallace: About your subjects, you mean. Aren’t you a princess?
Ava: I don’t intend to stand here and let you make fun of me. A dog who cares only for a silly bone.
Wallace: Ah, the joy of chewing a bone. Honestly, Princess, you don’t know what you’re missing. [chuckles] - Wallace convinces Ava to help him with stealing some cotton candy from the vendor at the amusement park, but Ava says that it's not right to steal. Then, Wallace tells her they'll have to just sit in front of the stand until he gives some to them, which is unlikely. Until he actually does that.Ava: So, what were you saying? This isn‘t “Fairyland”?
Wallace: Alright. I did say that. But this is an exception, not the rule.
The Puppybuster
- Danny trying to talk while sneezing.
- When finding a small window of Slowpoke's cave, Eva easily slides through but Zull and Gort get stuck. Not only that, but they also end up knocking a flowerpot over, which lands on Danny's head.
- When Zull and Gort are upstairs, they head for the stairs to get down, but run into Danny and William, who are heading upstairs. All four of them roll and tumble down the stairs.Danny: Oh… what a fall!
Zull: Uh, I’m gonna have a bump on my head!
Danny: Yeah, you’ve said it… Huh, Gort?!
Gort: Danny!
[cue the pawfight] - Eva telling William that she "has a present for him", then proceeding to blow pollen from a flower into his eyes.
- After the fight and Eva's gang retreats, Slowpoke returns with the flower she planned to give Nicole, and assumed all the racket was the Royal Guards being "bored".Danny: Well, “bored” isn’t quite the right word for it.
White Paw
- Zull and Gort pushing Eva’s raft down the water.Eva: Will you get a move on? Faster!
Zull: [muffled, unintelligible] …I have paws instead of fins!
Eva: Did you say something, Zull?
Zull: Gort did!
Gort: That’s not true! I didn’t say any— [gets splashed]
Eva: That’s what happens when you talk instead of swimming! - Kate and her friends greeting the panda waiter, Bambu.William: Good morning!
Bambù: We’re closed!
William: We’re not here to eat. We would like some information.
Bambù: Really?
William: We’re looking for a—
Bambù: [snores]
Magic: Just look at him!
Bear chef: He has to be the worst waiter I’ve ever had! - Bambu eating a stalk of bamboo straight from the exterior walls of the cafe.Bear chef: Huh? Stop eating my cafe!
Bambù: I told you that building with bamboo wasn’t a good idea! [chuckles] - Zull and Gort telling each other to watch out… only for themselves to get caught in a geyser.Zull: Careful where you put your paws down.
Gort: Of course I’m… careful…
[cue the geyser]
Eva: Are you finished fooling around? I find a shortcut and you two are having fun and wasting time!
Zull: Eva, I assure you no one here is having fun. It’s dangerous.
Eva: I’m not interested. We have to get to the top before Kate and her friends. [growls] - Eva jumping around in pure glee and going full-on Motor Mouth-ing as she has the Friendship Heart until karma catches up to her.Eva: Ah! [jumps around] Finally, I become the indisputable Queen of Pocket Kingdom! I will have unlimited power!
Kate: [thinking] Without the Friendship Heart, I can no longer understand what they’re saying!
Eva: I’m the queen, I’m the queen! You will obey me—
[cue the geyser, as well as the collar freeing from Eva]
White as a Ghost
- The scenes where the supposed “ghost dogs” (actually Brad and George, who are actors, with sheets draped over them) chase Magic and Danny around the old red house can be pretty funny, especially with their over-the-top moaning noises.
- Danny slipping and falling down the stairs after Brad and George reveal themselves, only to find a Magic Drop in the light fixture above.Danny: Ugh… I can see stars…
Magic: Are you alright?
Danny: Wait a minute, that’s not a star, it’s a Magic Drop! Look! - After Zull and Gort consume the medicine Dr. Copper gives them, they immediately rush for the bathroom.
Friendship is a Treasure
- As Krakia tries to capture Ava, one of the cats trapped in the cages swats at her, but misses. Another swats at her, this time successfully knocking her down.
Sweet Dreams
- The scene where Francesca falls asleep in class and her calling the teacher “Mom” can get some laughs.Teacher: [nudges Francesca to wake her up] Francesca, dear. Wake up.
Francesca: [half-asleep] Please, Mom, just another five minutes…
[cue students laughing] - After Kate and her friends find out that Flipper, a goldfish, is a perfect match for Francesca, they also find out that there are too many goldfish who live in Pocketville, and the only way to find out which one is Flipper is to look through the register. Turns out the one who is in charge of keeping it is not someone who they (especially Danny) would like to meet or even speak with because of his Motor Mouth tendencies.William: The register is not in perfect order and it may take some time.
Kate: But surely there’s a good administrator who might be able to help.
Danny: [sarcastic] Maybe there is someone.
William: Huh?
Balloon: Huh? Uh-uh.
Kate: Oh…
Danny: The problem is: that we’re talking about that chatterbox of a koala, Koty!
Magic: Uh oh… - Gort knows who Flipper is but is afraid to reveal her location in fear of the gang finding out he isn’t as tough as he is, despite it being helpful information to find her.Gort: Um, Flipper?
Eva: [growls] You know Flipper?
Gort: Of course. I mean, uh, maybe. I’m not sure. Nope, uh, no I don’t. [slowly walks away]
Eva: Stop right there!
Gort: Uh…
Eva: I’ll ask you only once, and you’d better tell me the truth. Do you know where to find Flipper?
Gort: Yeah, at the Pet Resort hot baths. She’s a masseur.
Eva: Well, that’s perfect then!
Zull: [laughs] You mean to say you got a massage?
Gort: No? Yeah, uh, well, kind of, I guess so.
Zull: You got a massage like a wimpy puppy! [laughs]
Gort: What’s wrong?
Zull: Real tough guys don’t allow any paws to touch them.
Eva: You can both stop this silly arguing! We’re going to the Pet Resort. - William finds a Magic Drop between the pages of one of Koty's books and chases it while it bounces, making it look like he’s chasing a ball as if he’s an actual dog.
- Zull and Gort spending time at the Pet Resort. Gort relaxes at the sauna with cucumber slices (cut into vertical slits instead of the usual round discs) over his eyes, and Zull is at the dining area being served in a high-class manner as well as eating neatly. That is until Eva finds him.Zull: Delicate taste, cooked rare, I’ve eaten better but it’ll do.
Eva: Do you desire something else?
Zull: No thanks, I’m full. [sees Eva] Ah! [quickly and messily eats the bones] Eva!
Eva: Shame on you! This is how you help me steal the Friendship Heart from Kate, is it?
Zull: But Eva, it’s not what it looks like! Uh, you tell her!
Gort: Uh, better not. She can’t be rubbing two tubes of suntan lotion on and, uh, well…
Zull: Let’s make up the most time here!
Eva: Stop! It’s not use looking around for that goldfish. I’ve already found Flipper! - In the last round of Capture the Banner, it’s Kate against Eva. Due to Eva’s feline instincts, this round will prove difficult for Kate, until she finds a way: circling around Mela until dizziness ensues. Eva ends up being the one to get dizzy, resulting in Kate’s win.Zull: Are you alright?
Eva: Of course I’m alright! But I’d be better once you stop going around in circles… [falls over]
[cue laughing from Kate and her friends] - In the montage where Kate, Magic, Balloon, and Mela spend time at the resort, Magic is exercising on a treadmill, eventually getting exhausted and even sweating (which dogs are unable to do in Real Life, and this explains why they pant when tired instead). He jumps into the thermal bath, where he is greeted by the massage of a smiling, human-faced octopus (which counts as an example of Nightmare Fuel).
Good Manners
- After Kevin throws a water balloon at Kate, he throws another only for Magic to jump head first in its direction, only to get soaked himself. He shakes it off like it's nothing.
- When seeing an image of Kevin on the Friendship Heart, Magic compares him to a tiger cub who bites his behind.
- One of Bella's students, a monkey, distracting Andre so that he and the other students can eat the fruit, which was against what Bella's lesson was supposed to be. Because of their impoliteness, the fruit give a bitter taste, and they immediately gag and spit it out once it comes to them. One can't help but feel bad for Andre though, as he can't help his slowness due to himself being a sloth.
- Zull and Gort actually pulling through with the lessons is plain funny, especially since it's so out of character for dogs like them.
- Eva tries to get them to do badly, when Zull and Gort were doing well at first with balancing books on their heads. The two dogs talk to each other about dropping the books when it comes to them, which it then does once they growl at each other.
- Bella tells the two that they must taste their food properly. Cue Zull and Gort eating sloppily like ravenous beasts.
- Courting was the next lesson, where Zull and Gort have to present flowers and jewelry to a statue of a female puppy. Zull tries to present a bouquet to the statue, only for Gort to trip him and the two to quarrel with each other. Gort throws Zull, who lands on the statue and breaks it into pieces.
- When William, Danny, and the two cubs reach the jungle to find a Magic Drop.Scratch: We’re almost there! The Magic Drop should be in that lake.
Danny: As well as crocodiles.
Scratch: No, relax. Only hippopotamuses.
Danny: Only hippopotamuses? Well then, getting the Magic Drop should be really easy.- It just gets worse once they actually meet the hippos in the lake:
Danny: Leave it to me. Hi there, I’m Danny from the Royal Guard. We need to look for something in the lake, so would you all kindly leave?
[A hippo slowly swims up to Danny]
Danny: Uh… so, do you think they understood me?
William: I… don’t know.
Hippo: We heard you fine. It’s just that we have no intention of leaving.
William: But, why not?
Hippo: Our leader left to visit his relatives and told us to wait for him here in the water.
William: But when exactly will your leader be back?
Hippo: Soon, in one or two months at the moment.
Danny: What? But we can’t wait here that long.
[The hippo inhales and dives underwater]
Danny: Oh, alright. Stay in the water. I’ll find the drop anyway. [jumps in the water]- William tells Danny to not be hasty but he does not listen, and because of this Danny ends up getting stuck between the rumps of two hippos. William jumps on top of the hippos and even Danny's head to find the Magic Drop in the lake. Then, the two hippos separate, making Danny splash into the water.
Nail: Mission accomplished! The lake is all yours!- Makes it even funnier that in Real Life it's actually the opposite; hippos are much more aggressive and dangerous than crocodiles (heck, Nile crocodiles are even afraid of them) and cause over five hundred deaths per year in just their home continent alone. Danny and William should be lucky the hippos they met were just lazy.
- Bella is on the verge of giving up on teaching Zull and Gort until Kate gives the idea of an exam for them, but with a twist. She and Magic bring a female Rottweiler and pit bull with them, (not to mention the Sexophone theme when the two dogs first appear), and Zull and Gort are immediately infatuated by them, following through with what Bella had taught them in etiquette. Eva is not pleased by any means.Eva: They’ve gone completely crazy!
Kate: Don’t you know it’s the power of love?
Eva: What a disgusting word! [retches] - Kevin blushes when apologizing to Kate. Either he's embarrassed or he really does have a crush on her.
Operation: Princess
- Magic and Wallace chasing the Pet Buster out of the restaurant. The Diabolical Dogcatcher of the show… scared off by the ones he is meant to catch.Pet Buster: Leave me alone! Don’t you know who I am! I’m the Pet Buster!
- Kate takes a handkerchief and drapes it over the CCTV camera, quipping "I don't like live television".
- Ava casually talking with Krakia to distract her as Kate makes a rope from the strays' collars to disable the gate. Once Krakia notices it she's flabbergasted.
- When Ava notices the branch falling from above she pulls off an unintentionally funny face. Perhaps her funniest Oh, Crap! face she ever made in the show. Could be because of the Limited Animation.
In the Cove of the Cat
- When Kate tries to escape from her window, Magic pulls on her dress so hard that it makes her fall over, startling Wallace.
- Eva being mud-splashed by Zull and Gort after her monologue about taking advantage over Kate and her friends, then getting an idea.Eva: [growls] What are you two numbskulls up to?
Zull: Eh... [points at Gort] it’s him!
Gort: [points at Zull] He started it.
Eva: Why do I put up with you two nitwits? Get up! We have to get to work! And clean yourselves up; I could hardly recognize you under all that mud!
Zull: It makes you even uglier!
Gort: Speak for yourself. That mud makes you look like a Cocker Spaniel!
Eva: What did you say?
Gort: Uh...uh...nothing, I didn’t mean to.
Zull: You said this mud makes me look like a Cocker Spaniel!
Eva: He’s right! And perhaps with the right makeup, I could pass for a tiger cub! - Eva impersonating a tabby cat can get some laughs, especially with the over-exaggerated distressful voice she puts on. Even in the first scene where she explains to Leo that her “favorite ball of wool is missing”, where she appears to be cross-eyed.
- Gort taking things literally as usual, with Zull constantly reminding him that Eva is only pretending.
- Eva shoving Gort out of the way each time he tries to reveal something to Leo that would potentially blow her cover.
- Danny immediately going to get a colorful flower for Mela, only to find that the flower lets out a sleep-inducing vapor. He and Balloon get in contact and immediately start sneezing, then fall asleep.
- Leo getting Zull and Gort distracted by trying to get them to fight with each other so he could escape Eva’s hideout.Leo: I need that key to get out of here. I’m so thirsty. Do you do have anything to drink?
Gort: Great idea! We could go to the swamp and have a drink!
Zull: We’re not going anywhere. You remember what Eva said? We can’t let the prisoner out of our sight, you baboon.
Leo: Too bad. Gort fell for it, but Zull is smarter. However, if I can get them to start a fight, maybe they’ll forget about me. [turns to Zull and Gort] And you let him call you a baboon? Have you no backbone?
Gort: [rolls his eyes] Hey, who are you calling a baboon?
Zull: Hey, Gort, can’t you see he’s messing with you?
Leo: Good. He can’t say that.
Gort: You can’t talk to me like that!
Leo: Gort’s really angry. If I were you I’d apologize.
Gort: Yeah!
Zull: Are you kidding? Me say “I’m sorry” to you? Forget it!
Gort: So you won’t say you’re sorry, huh?
Zull: No way!
Gort: Well then take that! [proceeds to tackle Zull]
Finally Free!
- Kate and Magic find out who will train them to protect themselves and the Friendship Heart from the Pet Buster with the help of the Pocketpedia, and it’s none other than… a little lamb by the name of Steel Wool.
- When Kate describes Steel Wool as “gentle”, Danny snarks that he’s anything but gentle and that he could still hear the sound of his whistle ringing in his ears.
- Once Kate and Magic agree to undergo a series of trials initiated by Steel Wool, the sheep immediately notices two hippo apprentices slacking off on doing curl-ups, with one hippo quipping to the other afterwards.Steel Wool: I saw that! Start all over again!
Hippo: [turns to the other hippo] I told you, he doesn’t miss a single thing! - Kate and Magic’s first trial is to dodge incoming balls, which Steel Wool demonstrates, and when he says that the warmup is finished, Magic thinks he’s talking about him and Kate. The group he’s actually talking to is just even more funny.Steel Wool: Okay, now that we’re all warmed up, let’s begin. Are you ready? Let’s go.
Magic: Ready!
Steel Wool: No, I don’t mean you. I mean them.
[turns to a herd of excited elephants] - Majority of the montage of Kate and Magic undergoing training at Steel Wool's training grounds.
- Kate and Magic get pelted by soccer balls/footballs and tennis balls thrown by elephants.
- Kate throwing a ball to Magic with both their eyes shut, with the first few times having the ball knock Magic on the head.
- Kate and Magic attempting to cut silhouettes of weapons out of paper as a form of trickery against the Pet Buster.
- Danny's conversation with the other guards after finishing his trial:Danny: I feel like a different puppy now that I’ve passed the Tibetan Bridge test. You know what I’m gonna do as soon as I get to the castle?
Mela: Tidy up your room?
Danny: No.
Balloon: Clean up after yourself? That would be helpful.
Danny: Mm-mm.
Magic: Well, are you gonna tell us or not?
Danny: I want to have a nice dinner; that Tibetan Bridge can really work up an appetite.
[Laughter ensues] - Peter says this while asleep as the Pet Buster had already climbed into his room with a spray.Peter: Maria, is that a new perfume?
- Every time the Pet Buster gets caught in traps around Kate's house when he breaks in thanks to her "Home Alone" Antics.
- Kate using a television program of a crime drama to trick the Pet Buster into thinking the police have arrived. When the Pet Buster realizes that it was Kate who tricked him and finds her behind the TV, she and Magic suspend a rope to trip him over.
- Next, Kate rolls a set of small balls to trip him over again. The way his hands flail around just makes this scene all the more hilarious.
- Not to mention the flashlight knocking him on the head with another Hit Spark.
- As the Pet Buster follows Kate upstairs to her room, his shoes get stuck in superglue. As he removes them, he then steps on thumbtacks, and removes his socks. Then as he gets to the door, a bucket full of soapy water falls on him and irritates his eyes.
- Kate throwing an Inescapable Net over the Pet Buster and Magic tying it around him just before calling the police. The tool which was used to capture Ava and other strays… used on himself. Oh how the turns have tabled.
- Kate's father being unaware that the objects were used as traps for the burglar.Peter: Kate, try to be more careful where you put your things.
Kate: You’re right, Daddy. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again. Promise.
A Gift for Ava
- Zull and Gort play tug-of-war with each other, where Zull lets go of the rope with enough force to slam Gort against the tree.
- Zull noting that he "never liked things with feathers" when seeing the image of Ribbon on Eva's half of the Friendship Heart.
- Holiday’s pile of balls do different shenanigans when maneuvered with.
- Danny picks a red one, which Holiday describes as the most playful of the pile, and the ball bounces and hits him on the head, then bounces away, making Danny briefly chase after it.
- The green ball is just as funny.
Holiday: Take cover, it's going to pop!
[Everyone moves out of the way. The ball explodes into sparkles.]
Holiday: Oh, you fell for it! [laughs]
Balloon: Are you always like this, Holiday?
Holiday: What a question. Of course I am! - Holiday being the master at deception again. That was until he gets dead serious.Holiday: I'm sorry, but we cannot go!
Kate: But why not?
Holiday: [laughs] I'm kidding, you fell for it again! And I'm supposed to be the gullible one!
[Cue even more laughter]
Holiday: Seriously, I know that you need a Magic Drop for the ceremony. And one of my clients told me they saw one!
Kate: Where did he see it?
Holiday: [even more seriously] In the Bottomless Cave. - Magic asks if Danny is afraid to enter the Bottomless Cave. Danny tells him he isn't, at least until he actually makes it there.
- The bats only knowing Kate for singing the Friendship Song, and treating her as if she were a famous singer.
- Danny thinking that the concept sheet itself is Ava’s gift.Danny: So you want to give the Princess Ava a drawing as a present?
Holiday: [laughs]
Danny: What's so funny about that?
William: Look at it a little more closely, Danny. It's a new Royal Collar!
The Last Piece
- This quip from Danny.Danny: Hey, did you know that I could have been a Puppy Trotter as well?
Balloon: Who are you kidding, Danny?
Danny: What? You don’t believe me?
Mela: No, we don’t!
William and Balloon: No.
Danny: If I wasn’t a Royal Guard, I’d be an acrobat. [trips and falls]
[Everyone laughs]
Balloon: Better guard than an acrobat.
Danny: [chuckling nervously] - The scene where Kate and her friends meet the ducks at the pond for the Puppy Trotters show, only to see that they have something else planned:Duck 1: Are you here for the show as well?
Magic: Yeah, we are.
Duck 2: How nice; it’s usually just us ducks who like this kind of stuff!
Everyone else: Huh?
Kate: I thought the Puppy Trotters were loved all over the kingdom!
Duck 1: Puppy Trotters? What are you talking about?
Duck 2: We have a much better show today. Our race to the other side of the swamp.
Kate: But… [Beat] the poster says there’s a Puppy Trotters show today.
Balloon: That sure is strange. - There is a Freeze-Frame Bonus where Splendid, one of the Puppy Trotters, is cross-eyed while in midair during their performance.
- Eva, mid-conversation with Sketch about himself doing a dangerous stunt over the wishing well, out of nowhere says "Ava would never come back".
- Sketch, after being rescued from the well, complains about something in his fur, to where a Magic Drop slides out of his coat.
- Koty arrives, offering to take Sketch's place as Puppy Trotter. He is told by the other members that there are special qualities to being one, to where he shows them his juggling skills.Splendid: Okay, you’re one of us. If you can do the routine… with an apple on your nose.
Koty: Is that all? That’s easy. [gets an apple placed on his nose] But I can’t talk if I’m doing this.
Tough: That’s better.
[cue everyone laughing] - After the Friendship Ceremony, Holiday arrived to present something to Kate: a new collar for Ava. As usual, he makes another witty remark.Holiday: We wanted to present the princess with the most beautiful collar in all of Pocket Kingdom, but unfortunately…
Royal Guards: Huh?
Holiday: [laughs] We made the most beautiful collar in the entire universe!
Royal Guards: [sigh]
Together Forever
- Gort crying after Eva says that there's nothing they can do now that Ava is coming back, much to Zull's dismay.Gort: So then we’re ruined! We’re finished!
Zull: Stop that whining!
Gort: They will arrest us!
Zull: If you don’t stop it, I’ll… [proceeds to almost slap Gort] - Another of Holiday's remarks:Holiday: I’m afraid, I say, I’m afraid I have some terrible, I say terrible news for you all.
Royal Guards: Huh?
Holiday: Today my shop will be closed! No work today! I wouldn’t miss Ava’s return for the world!
Royal Guards: [sigh]
Balloon: You just love to joke, don’t you? - Zull and Gort's banter about Eva's plan "going well" despite all of them being imprisoned.Eva: Everything’s going as planned. This is all working perfectly.
Zull: Huh?
Gort: Uh, did you happen to bump your head?
Eva: How dare you! I’m perfectly fine! You fools don’t know anything.
Zull: But, um… you have noticed that we’re in prison, right?
Eva: Of course I’ve noticed! It’s exactly what I wanted, you fools!
Zull and Gort: Huh?
Gort: She’s bumped her head.
Zull: Hm.
Eva: I can hear you, Gort. How would you two like a bump on the head? Hm…
Gort: Uh, I’m sorry. It’s just that, uh…
Eva: That you don’t get it as usual. - Danny being on the verge of Tears of Joy twice.Danny: I’m so happy, I could cry!
Balloon: Not again.
[Cue laughter] - The Pet Buster realizing that Eva isn’t Ava and points out that she “practically looks identical to her”.Eva: Of course, You Fool! I'm her twin sister!
