A student who is known for taking his class's rivalry against Class 1-A way too seriously much to his classmate's chagrin.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: While considered an important part of Class 1-B, even his classmates think he goes too far on their rivalry with Class 1-A.
- Power Copy: His Quirk allows him to mimic the Quirks of those he touches.
- Sitcom Archnemesis: He's known for taking 1-B's rivalry against Class A way too seriously which is Played for Laughs.
- Smug Super: Monoma is known for taunting his enemies right in front of their faces, so much that even Starscream is impressed.

The most hot-headed student of Class 1-B. His Quirk, Steel, allows him to turn his entire body into steel.
- Ascended Extra: In canon, he was just a side character. Here, he joins in the Autobots' mission to take down the Decepticons.
- Bash Brothers: He and Eijiro get along well due to their similar personalities and Quirks.
- Cool Board: He's shown to have one, which later became Grindor's alt mode.
- Extra-ore-dinary: His Quirk completely transforms his body into steel.
- Friendly Rivalry: He has this dynamic with Eijiro.
- Metal Muncher: In this story, due to his Quirk, he actually regularly eats metal to strengthen his abilities.
- Secret-Keeper: After his encounter with Starscream and the Minicons, Tetsutetsu finds out about the secret Cybertronian war.
- Super-Toughness: Given that his Quirk turns his body into steel, it's to be expected.

A religious student from Class 1-B. Ibara's Quirk, Vines, turns her hair into long, thorny brambles that she can extend and control at will.
- Ascended Extra: Ibara was a side character in canon. Here, she joins the main cast in the Cybertronian war.
- Curb Stomp Cushion: She was able to hold her own against Shoto for a while in the Sports Festival, but was eventually overwhelmed by his ice.
- Deadpan Snarker: Despite her kind nature, she's known for giving some remarks about her friends 'antics.
- Decomposite Character: Serves as one to Alexis from Transformers: Armada as they both share the role as the voice of reason and Only Sane Woman among their more zany and reckless friends.
- Mundane Utility: Due to the nature of her Quirk, Ibara can't wear a helmet when riding her moppet. So instead, she shapes her hair into a helmet when riding.
- Nice Girl: She's a very kind and religious girl.
- Only Sane Woman: She was the only one to suggest leaving the cave and not going too far while Setsuna and Tetsutetsu decided to continue on forward.
- Plant Hair: Her Quirk, Vines, gives her vine-like hair which she can extend to wrap and ensnare enemies up.
- A Saint Named Mary: What she tried to pick as her Hero name until Midnight shot it down claiming that no one in Japan will have an idea of what she's going for.
- Secret-Keeper: She finds out about the secret Cybertronian War.
- Ship Tease: Has this with Denki.
- Token Religious Teammate: She's a devout Christian, which is rather rare in Japan.
- Town Girls: She's the femme to Itsuka's butch and Setsuna's neither.
Itsuka Kendo

The Class Rep of Class 1-B. Kendo is a friendly tomboy who is the big sister of her class. Kendo's Quirk, Big Fist, allows her to enlarge her hand. After surviving an encounter with a couple of Vehicons with Flare Up, Kendo joins the Autobots and some of the members of Class A to take down the Decepticons; alongside some of her own classmates.
- Action Girl: She's proficient in martial arts as her mom is a martial arts instructor and her skills only get better after being trained by the Battle Hero: Gunhead.
- Ascended Extra: Kendo was a side character in canon. Here, she gets caught along in the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
- Badass Adorable: A cute and spunky girl who knows how to kick ass with her two giant hands and is not afraid to mock Starscream to his face.
- Burger Fool: She works part-time at a McRonald's to earn money to buy her dream motorcycle.
- Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: Kendo makes sure to keep Monoma from antagonizing Class 1-A too much, with a chop to the neck.
- Class Representative: She's the Class Rep of Class 1-B.
- Composite Character: With Jack Darby. Like Jack, she works a part-time job at a fast food joint to earn enough money to buy her dream bike. She meets her dream bike only for it to turn out to be an Autobot on the run from Vehicons.
- Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Tells Starscream to his face that he's not really that impressive, much to the shock of everyone there.
- Dope Slap: Her preferred method of putting a stop to Monoma's antics of harassing Class 1-A.
- Failed a Spot Check: Completely failed to notice, over a period of a couple months, that Ochako lives in the same apartment complex as her.
- Fiery Redhead: She may be friendly to the students of 1A but she's a redhead whose serious about the rivalry their classes both share.
- Friendly Rival: Kendo makes it clear to Ochaco that while both their classes are rivals they are also friends and now teammates.
- Giant Hands of Doom: Her Quirk, Big Fist, allows her to enlarge her hands for extra strength and to attack her opponents.
- Nerves of Steel: She was pretty calm when in front of Starscream.
- Not So Above It All: Despite being one of the more responsible and level-headed students in 1-B, she agreed to race her classmates with Flare Up and the Street Action Minicons to the Autobot base.
- Secret-Keeper: She finds out about the secret of the Cybertronian War.
- Town Girls: She's the butch to Ibara's femme and Setsuna's neither.

A talkative and adventurous girl of Class 1-B who enrolled through recommendations. Her Quirk, Lizard Tail Splitter, allows her to split her body into multiple pieces that she can control, levitate, and regenerate if destroyed.
- The Ace: She's one of the students who got into U.A. on recommendations.
- Animal Motifs: She really likes dinosaurs and as a result, her hero costume is embroidered with a scale design.
- Ascended Extra: She was a side character in canon who didn't receive much focus. Here, she joins the students of 1A alongside the Autobots to take part in the Cybertronian war.
- Class Clown: Called this by Tetsutetsu, and she at least likes to rile him up.
- Detachment Combat: Her Quirk, Lizard Tail Splitter, allows her to split her body apart up to 50 pieces.
- Flight: While in her detached form, she can levitate.
- Gyaru Girl: Apparently, she was one in middle school.
- Horrifying the Horror: Her ability to detach her body parts actually freaks out Flatline.
- If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her...: Setsuna lets Denki know if he ever hurts Ibara, he'll have to answer to her.
- Lovecraftian Superpower: Her Quirk allows her to detach her body parts, ranging from arms and legs to even her eyes.
- Motor Mouth: She's apparently very talkative.
- Ms. Fanservice: Her hero costume shows off her curves. Ibara even noted that it leaves little to the imagination.
- Secret-Keeper: She finds out about the secret of the Cybertronian War.
- Town Girls: She's the neither to Ibara's femme and Itsuka's butch.

A student of Class 3-A and one of the most skilled students of U.A. as she's a member of school's Big Three. Her Quirk, Wave Motion, lets her release her vitality as energy shockwaves, though they lack speed due to coming out in spirals.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: She only shows up at Shie Hassaikai Arc. Here, she shows up in the Internship Arc.
- Anime Hair: She has long blue hair that goes all the way down her back.
- Cool Big Sis: She starts to become this for Kaida.
- Motor Mouth: Nejire is a very curious girl and constantly asks people questions regarding their Quirks.
General Studies
Hitoshi Shinso

Quirk: Brainwashing
A student from U.A.'s General Studies course who wishes to be a part of the Hero course despite his villainous Quirk. His Quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to make other people fall under his control if they respond to his questions.
- Bad Powers, Good People: While his Quirk may allow him to control people's minds, he does mean well and truly wishes to become a hero.
- Compelling Voice: Shinso's Quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to, well, brainwash anyone who responds to whatever he says.
- Logical Weakness: Since his Quirk requires people to respond to his questions to activate, it won't work if his opponents don't respond to his words.

A scatterbrained girl who has a knack for building and inventing all kinds of devices (or "babies" as she calls them) to help heroes in hopes of creating her own support item company. She's one of the first humans, alongside Izuku, to find out about Bumblebee and later the Cybertronian War.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: She meets Izuku months before the Sports Festival when Bumblebee is brought to her uncle's garage.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Mei's a lot more nicer and considerate here than she was in canon. She wanted to help Bumblebee regain his memories and won't do anything that he isn't comfortable with. She also felt guilty for using Tenya as a guinea pig to advertise her babies.
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Mei's only relationship with Izuku and his friends was to only help built support items in canon. Here, due to being one of the first people to find out about the Cybertronian war alongside Izuku, Mei soon formed a close bond with him and later with his friends.
- Anger Born of Worry: Hatsume, out of all people, was the one to drill it into Tenya how worried his friends were when he wasn't responding to any of their calls.
- Ascended Extra: Mei is a side character at best in canon, only showing up to do support upgrades for Deku and his classmates. Here, due to being one of the first people to find out about Bumblebee and the Cybertronian war, she plays a major role in helping the team out in situations regarding not only Hero work but with the Decepticons as well.
- Berserk Button: Destroying her precious babies angers her greatly.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Mei may be eccentric but she is great at inventing and understanding advanced Cybertronian tech like the Ground Bridge.
- Ditzy Genius: She may be smart but she's not at the same wavelength as others most of the time.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Mei's smart enough to create all sorts of support items for heroes and is even smart enough to operate the Ground Bridge and work alongside Red Alert.
- Hero-Worshipper: She's a huge fan of Isaac Sumdac's work and hopes to work at his company some day.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mei can be a bit self-absorbed and sometimes says things without thinking. But she genuinely cares about the safety of her friends. This was shown first when she became distraught when Bumblebee got captured by the Decepticons.
- Mission Control: Like her Autobot partner, Red Alert, Mei plays this role whenever the students and the Autobots are out on missions.
- Motor Mouth: Mei can really keep talking on and on unless someone covers her mouth.
- The Nicknamer: She calls her friends by the nicknames she gives them. Muscles for Izuku, Jackie for Kyoka, Spikey for Eijiro, Rosy Cheeks for Ochaco, etc.
- No Sense of Personal Space: She always gets up close and personal with everyone much to their chagrin.
- No Social Skills: While not as bad as Izuku, Mei's straightforwardness and eccentricities can come off as rude and her lack of social skills can make her fail to realize more often than not when she said something that offends someone.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Normally Mei is fascinated about anything new concerning Cybertronians, but when Scraplets almost eat one of her beloved "babies", she's outright livid and wants all of them gone.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Mei is the energetic and hyperactive red oni to Red Alert's calm and rational blue oni.
- Sarcasm-Blind: Mei doesn't seem to get sarcasm most of the time. She herself even admits it.Kyoka: Mei, you're my friend and all, but do you not understand sarcasm when you hear it?
Mei: Only half of the time, actually. Mostly when I'm not paying attention. - Secret-Keeper: She's one of the first people to know about the Cybertronian war.
- Shipper on Deck: She teases Kyoka about her crush on Izuku.
- Ship Tease: With Tenya.
- The Xenophile: Hatsume is utterly fascinated by the Cybertronian race; regarding both their biology and technology.
