Main Characters:

     Kyrie Mynarett
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kyrie_mynarett.jpg
Why?! Why did they have to do this?! What could I have possibly done to warrant the death of Ribb Village?!
The titular "Teapot Hero".
  • '90s Anti-Hero: She keeps telling herself that all she cares about is delivering vengeance on the Deltiard royal family for giving the order to torch her village to get at her and that she doesn't want to care about others because it hurts too much, but when push comes to shove, she helps the helpless, protects the innocent, and even puts herself in harm's way to rescue others, even if she's gaining nothing by it. Make no mistake though, she will give any and all villains she comes across a taste of torture and a Cruel and Unusual Death if they're lucky!
  • Action Girl: And how. Wakened by strange footsteps in the middle of the night, she instantly turns the tables on the hardened soldier sent to kill her and guts him with his own sword.
  • Blessed with Suck: She never wanted to be a "Hero" or get the [Boiling] power. It was forced on her and as a result, her home village was wiped out, trying to get at her, just to make it look like a bandit attack.
  • Driven to Villainy: When the king's elite forces torched her home village, she was driven to vigilante vengeance to survive.
  • Expy: In terms of character and motivation, she's effectively a gender-bent Frank Castle, aka, The Punisher.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Went from a simple village girl to a No-Nonsense Nemesis who takes down hardened soldiers and gives them graphic deaths.
  • Hope Spot: When she got home, she believed the king's testimony that she could give up her spot as "the hero" and get back to her life as a normal village girl. Then the king's elites sneak into her village in the middle of the night, killing everyone, and leaving her no choice but to go down the path of vengeance, if she wants to survive.
  • It Gets Easier: The first time she killed one of the elite soldiers posing as bandits, she's briefly horrified. By the time she gets to kill #6, it doesn't bother her at all. In fact, it bothers her that it doesn't bother her.
  • It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: She's only the latest in a long line of "heroes" chosen by god, all of whom died horribly. Since humanity won't get a new one until she's dead, the king has given orders to kill her hoping on a more combat-flashy [Gift] so he can finally trample the demon territory underfoot. Her village was killed off to Leave No Witnesses.
  • Lethal Harmless Powers: Her ability to boil water by touch was laughed at and considered unfit for the battle-field. As she's fleeing into the mountains from the king's elites, disguised as bandits, she gets creative by realizing the snow on an overhang is water and triggering an avalanche, and as she's pinned down and being sadistically tormented by Lieutenant Garell, she grabs his leg and realizes that the human body is mostly water in a flexible container known as skin.
  • Medal of Dishonor: The nobles in the royal capital called her "teapot hero" when the cup full of water she was given to quench her thirst started boiling.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: She may not have been fond of the Deltiard royal family, but she was loyal, until they sent elite soldiers at her, and torched her home village to the ground, to try and make it look like a random bandit attack. Well, so much for that, time to join The Resistance and employ brutal vigilante vengeance.
  • No-Nonsense Nemesis: She doesn't play sadistic games or engage in needless cruelty. She does what she does in the quickest and most efficient way possible. She can't afford the risk and doesn't have the time or strength to sit back enjoying suffering, she just wants to live, and getting graphic vengeance is the only path forward.
  • Parting-Words Regret: She regrets not thanking her mother and little sister for the belated birthday party and gifts they give her when she returns from the royal capital because it was late at night and she was planning to tell them tomorrow. Since her entire home town was wiped out that very night, she never got the chance.
  • Past Experience Nightmare: As she's laying down in a bed, finally able to sleep safely in the Resistance secret headquarters, she has a dream about her younger sister wanting to share her bed, and the two of them are playing happily... until said sister morphs into a corpse. Kyrie wakes up screaming to find Beat in bed with her, and then beat comforts her, letting her get the sleep she needs.
  • Sole Survivor: Of the entire population of Ribb Village, she's the only one to survive.
  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: She gives those who come after her an exact copy of the treatment they give her, as much as possible. The four soldiers who chase her into the mountain? Stabbed through the throat as they're helpless, buried by an avalanche. Lieutenant Garrel, who took his sweet time poking her in the extremities with his sword, trying to break her spirit before killing her? Gets his extremities boiled, stabbed, and when he foolishly reveals that he faked his surrender and tries to backstab her? Well, there went his last chance at any mercy and his head gets slowly and graphically boiled alive.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She hunts, she's very rough and tumble, and she has no problems being on the battle-field, but she's still interested in traditionally "girly" things like jewelry and preening before a mirror.
  • Touch of Death: She eventually gets skilled enough with her power that she cooks people's brains alive with a simple flick of her fingers. Even through armor.
  • Torture Technician: Though she gains no pleasure from it, at all, she's always coming up with new and interesting ways to abuse her [Boiling] power when she's got her enemies at her mercy, both to extract information, and to make them understand how it feels to be the one suffering.
  • Trauma Button: Anything at all that reminds her of Ribb Village, no matter how innocent, like eating fried rabbit meat, will have her break down in tears.
  • Vengeance Feels Empty: She feels nothing at all after delivering graphic vengeance upon her attackers, not joy, not fear, not sorrow. She's just... numb. She believes that she's not going to feel anything again until her vengeance has been fully completed and she's once again free to live her life without having to worry about the king's unjust orders to kill her.

     Beat
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beat_6.jpg
Beat, you're too close! Why are you always clinging to me!
A slave girl Kyrie finds and rescues in Gustavs's mansion as she and Joanna are escaping the general's assassination. On a whim, Kyrie takes her along. In The Resistance HQ, Kyrie learns that she can read, write and use healing magic. For reasons Kyrie doesn't understand, this girl immediately clings to her.
  • Bedmate Reveal: In chapter 6, Kyrie wakes up from a horrific nightmare to find her in bed beside her. Beat holds and comforts Kyrie, allowing her to go back to sleep peacfully.
  • Cute Mute: She's adorable and doesn't say a word when Kyrie meets her, but she does write to communicate.
  • Healing Hands: She is a master of healing magic.
  • I Owe You My Life: After being rescued from slavery under Gustav and then from the blade of Garrus, she's completely attached herself to Kyrie.
  • Made a Slave: She was enslaved and placed in the custody of Gustav some time before the story begins.
  • Masculine–Feminine Gay Couple: She's the feminine to Kyrie's masculine.
  • Morality Pet: The only person Kyrie is always kind to, and threatening her is a sure-fire way to get Kyrie hounding you to a Cruel and Unusual Death.
  • Mysterious Waif: She's not just a simple slave girl; she has many secrets. The fact that she can read and write alone in a very illiterate society is proof of that.
  • Mystical White Hair: Her silver-white hair is proof of her magical powers, as a member of the Uul race.
  • Security Cling: Whenever Kyrie is around, Bear can hardly stop herself from clinging onto her.
  • Sleep Cute: Beat constantly sleeps next to Kyrie. While initially annoyed by this, Kyrie comes to appreciate it because it helps prevent her from having nightmares of her village’s destruction.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Her inability to speak did not mean she is not intelligent. She communicates with writing, and Kyrie is surprised that Beat’s handwriting is better than her own.
  • Squishy Wizard: She can use magic, but her stamina is terrible. Fleeing from Gustav's mansion had her vomit from the strain of trying to catch her breath.
  • Undying Loyalty: Kyrie can’t help but compare Beat to a loyal dog.

Ribb Village:

     Alka
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alka.jpg
Kyrie! You're back!
Kyrie's best friend.
  • Cheerful Child: Very happy and upbeat.
  • Childhood Friends: With Kyrie.
  • Children Are Innocent: A bit mischievous, but a good, kind girl who loved and was loved by her parents.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: Seeing her dead body dragged along like a burden and tossed on a pyre like a stack of logs is what ultimately breaks Kyrie and puts her on the path of vengeance.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Wore her hair like this and had both the cheer and innocence associated with the style.
  • Guilt by Association: For the "crime" of living in the same village as Kyrie, she's killed in the so-called bandit raid organized by the king's elites.

     Kyrie's mother
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mom_8.jpg
Kyrie! I thought I would never see you alive again!
  • Good Parents: She was loved by both her daughters, Kyrie and Claire.
  • No Name Given: Her name is never spoken, and now that she's dead, we'll never know.
  • Senseless Sacrifice: Kyrie finds proof that she died trying to protect Claire. She failed, and Claire was killed anyway.
  • Supreme Chef: At least according to her daughters, her cooking skill was superb.
  • Tears of Joy: When Kyrie returns home, she runs up, grabs her in a bear-hug and starts crying because she never expected to see her daughter alive, again.

     Claire
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/claire_51.jpg
I'll just stay up talking until I fall asleep!
Kyrine's younger sister.
  • Big Sister Worship: She adored her older sister.
  • Cheerful Child: She was a very sweet and happy child.
  • Due to the Dead: Since Kyrie couldn't stop the fire set by the elite knights, and couldn't take her to give her a proper burial, she says her goodbyes by kissing her corpse one last time on the cheek.
  • Gut Feeling: Charitably. She insisted in sharing Kyrie's bed the night after Kyrie returned home. Kyrie's bed being too small, Kyrie took her back to her own bed. Kyrie would wind up regretting it when Claire wound up dead.
  • Spanner in the Works: Had Kyrie not taken her to her own bed and went to bed early, she might not have been awake to hear the soldier Denil sneaking around their house, and would have been stabbed through the heart in her bed.

Deltiard Kingdom forces:

     Royal Guard Captain Garrius
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garrius.jpg
The soldier who greets Kyrie at the royal castle.
  • Fighting Back Is Wrong: He tries to lecture Kyrie that vigilante vengeance creates nothing, serves no purpose, and could trigger a Cycle of Revenge. Kyrie retorts that her targets happily butcher innocents, are cruel and sadistic, are trying to kill her unjustly, leaving her no choice, and if somebody doesn't do something about it, they'll just keep on doing it.
  • The Mole: He's actually a spy for the resistance, but pretends very convincingly that he's loyal to King Burtogue.
  • Not in My Contract: He obeys his orders, to the letter, no more, no less. This is the excuse he used to let Kyrie escape on several occasions, as he had no orders to pursue.
  • One Degree of Separation: He's the brother of the guy leading The Resistance.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: On the one hand, King Deltiard is the legit king of the land, and his word is law, with no legal recourse or reprieve if he gives his soldiers orders that would be a war-crime in modern Earth, or summarily executes said soldiers. On the other hand, he's aware that Kyrie's and The Resistance's grudges are legitimate, and they have no other recourse than to rebel.
  • Ultimate Job Security: His knight skills must be truly impressive if King Burtogue made him the captain of the guard despite being the brother of the Resistance's leader and letting the assassin who killed General Charon get away "being too fleet of foot" when the rest of the knights sent at Kyrie's village were all shredded to little chunks of meat for following the general's foolish orders and failing to kill Kyrie.
  • Would Hurt a Child: If his orders involve swinging his sword at a child, he'll do it. He once nearly chopped off Kyrie's arm because she shielded an unarmed child wearing a Slave Collar.

     King Burtogue Haliard Deltiard
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/burtogue_deltiard.jpg
I have a great idea, Minister!
The king.
  • The Caligula: He is a horrible king. Not only is he constantly pushing for war with his neighbors, purely to seize as much territory as possible, and hunts down to execute the royal families of every captured country, but his treatment of the defeated citizens is attrocious. He levies an unsurvivable tax rate of 80% until he's satisfied that they're broken before "generously" reducing the rate to 60% for a few years as a "reprieve." Then there's the fact that he sees nothing wrong with wiping out entire villages among his loyal citizens if he thinks he can get away with it.
  • Create Your Own Hero: Played with. Kyrie was already chosen as a "hero" by the gods with a lack-luster power, but sending his elites at her home village with orders to Make It Look Like an Accident is what drives her to destabilize his rule and get strong enough to come for his head.
  • Despotism Justifies the Means: Having a territory as big as possible is all that matters to him. There is no crime he'd overlook to achieve this end. At least none he thinks he can get away with.
  • Devil in Plain Sight: It's an open secret that he's a loathsome, warmongering tyrant, but nobody dares voice it.
  • Plausible Deniability: What he was trying for by sending an army of elites to attack Ribb Village in the middle of the night.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: On the surface, his kingdom is at peace, and the peasants have a surprisingly high standard of living for a medieval culture. He doesn't want to have to worry about an internal rebellion as his troops are occupied with external war(s) nor interrupt the flow of goods to the capital, after all.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Strangely enough. When his seer states that Kyrie's [Gift] is known as [Boiling], he still gives Kyrie a fair hearing, and holds a proper assessment on her ability instead of condemning her out of hand. God might have a strange naming sense, after all. Then when his top minister protests "letting the country bumpkin go home", he doesn't rant, rave, or go the stereotypical Evil Overlord route, instead spelling out his reasoning with sound and logical arguments.
  • Slave to PR: The only reason he doesn't execute Kyrie in the royal capital, or allow his carriage to "be ambushed by bandits" is that he has a certain image he needs to project. A small, back-water village with a population of 20 odd citizens gets "tragically attacked by nameless bandits"? That's fine.
  • War for Fun and Profit: He's eager to go to war to expand his territory, every chance he gets.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: He has read the Evil Over Lord list and heeded its advice, even sending the best troops he had on hand at Kyrie first. Unfortunately, since they were his best available troops, they underestimated the threat a pissed off "hero" could be and didn't take their task seriously. What's worse, these troops should have killed Kyrie first, not last. Now she's got nothing to lose and is starved for vengeance.
  • You Have Failed Me: He has an abysmally poor threshold for failure. When he learns that Kyrie survived the destruction of Ribb Village, he orders the troops that survived brought before him and literally tears them all to little chunks of meat in an instant.

     Prime Minister Gustav
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gustav_6.jpg
I will see to it, Your Majesty!
Bortogue's right hand.
  • Bit Character: He rarely shows up and doesn't do much on screen.
  • Number Two: The only one who has more authority in the kingdom is King Deltiard himself.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He may be a bit character who does little on screen, but he's responsible for organizing the forces that keep going after Kyrie, and everyone who's guilty of the "crime" of getting too close to her, among other atrocities.
  • The Sociopath: He sides with King Deltiard happily and willingly because the only thing that makes him feel alive is the thrill at the fact that King Deltiard could turn on and kill him at any moment, and he would have no chance of resistance or escape.

     Denil
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/denil.jpg
Guhuaahh!!!
  • Blood from the Mouth: What happens when Kyrie stabs him with his own sword.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: He gets killed by his own sword when Kyrie turns the tables on him.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: Tried to make Kyrie's death and the death of her family look like a bandit attack, but this was very sloppily done. All of the household valuables were intact and secure.

     General Charon Stusk
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_charon_8.jpg
The leader of the elite unit sent to Ribb village to kill Kyrie.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: When days go by and Lieutenant Garrel fails to return, he starts getting desperate for news regarding Kyrie, so he can report to the king and keep his position secure. She literally drops in on him in his mansion and starts getting even for the death of her loved ones, one of his organs at a time.
  • Eye Scream: When Kyrie gets her hands on him, she starts "gathering intel" by causing his eyes to explode, due to boiling the water in them. Messy...
  • Fallen Hero: He used to be a good and noble soldier, and then once he became a major general, he stopped being valiant and instead cared only about his own position.
  • Fat Bastard: He's clearly overweight, and he's despicable both to his own men and to whoever they might have to fight.
  • Freudian Excuse: He was thrown out by his poor commoner parents and forced into the army, simply because his family didn't have enough food to go around.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: He is force fed his own very expensive wine, boiling hot.
  • It's All About Me: All he cares about is maintaining his position in the army. He cares not what he has to do in that pursuit.
  • Just a Kid: He completely dismisses Kyrie as a threat because he sees her as just some nameless village girl beneath his notice.
  • Non-Action Guy: He doesn't partake in any of the atrocity in Ribb Village himself, at least not on screen.
  • Off with His Head!: Kyrie kills him off by causing his throat to explode with her [Boiling] power.
  • Old Soldier: He became a general by rising through the ranks, but old age has caused his abilities to wane.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He may be a general, but he thinks he's more important than King Deltiard, and resents being sent out in the middle of the night to lead an armed unit to wipe out a village disguised as bandits, not because it's morally wrong, but because he believes it's beneath him.
  • Smug Snake: He struts around as if he's the most important person around.
  • Speak Ill of the Dead: When he learns Denil died in a confrontation with Kyrie, he insults the dead soldier, calling him an embarrassment for losing a fight with a little girl.
  • Stealing the Credit: According to Lt Garrel, he's always pushing his duties on his subordinates, and then taking the credit for their efforts.

     Lieutenant Garrel
The leader of the squad sent after Kyrie in the mountains near Ribb Village.
  • An Arm and a Leg: When Kyrie realizes the human body is mostly water with an elastic container called skin, she makes his blood boil in such a way that his arms and legs explode, in retaliation for him stabbing at her arms and legs to cripple her, hoping to drive her to despair for his own amusement!
  • Cruel Mercy: He "kindly" allowed his subordinates to get a share of the credit in striking her down, until she killed them, then "kindly" held back, trying to drive her to despair by sadistically targeting her extremities with shallow, but painful cuts, hoping to drive her to despair for his amusement.
  • Cutlass Between the Teeth: His last-ditch attack is magically summoning his dagger to his mouth and attacking Kyrie with it. She grabs his head in response and boils him alive, slowly and graphically.
  • Flash Step: As he's chasing Kyrie, and she's running with all her might, he suddenly appeared right in her face, to her shock, and then stabbed her in the arm while she's stunned.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: He convincingly fakes his surrender and complies with Kyrie's demands to buy time for an opportunity to kill her when she drops her guard. This prompts Kyrie to forget any and all thoughts of mercy and finish him off by boiling his head, slowly and graphically.
  • It's Probably Nothing: Subverted. He spots Kyrie's footprints and pursues her the moment General Charon gave the order.
  • Just Toying with Them: Had he gone all out from the beginning, chances are good Kyrie would have never managed to escape with her life. Instead he decided to "kindly" pincer her with his assigned subordinates, and when that failed, deliberately target her extremities, hoping to drive her to despair for his own amusement. This allowed her to turn the tables and put him on the receiving end.
  • Moral Myopia: At a minimum, he is second in command in torching an innocent village, yet when Kyrie retaliates, screams out "Don't fuck with me! What could I have done to deserve such shitty luck! This was supposed to be just dealing with some girl from the sticks, just a simple mission!"
  • Sword Beam: He swings his sword when he's at least 10 feet behind Kyrie and she wonders why until she sees the shockwave coming and jumps over it.
  • You Killed My Father: Kyrie's biggest grudge with him is the fact that he murdered Alka in cold blood and then treated the poor girl as nothing but trash.

     Eliya Ulysses
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/31_o_54.jpg
Revenge creates nothing! With your power, you could...
The captain of the guard for Princess Deltiard. Kyrie meets her as The Resistance ambushes what they presumed was a high-value target of the king's forces. It was actually a trap, thanks to a traitor in The Resistance feeding intel to the king's men.
  • Good Is Dumb: She means well, but she calls Kyrie an idiot for wanting revenge on King Deltiard torching her home village and leaving her no choice but to go after him in revenge if she wants to live. It's only when Kyrie threatens the princess she's guarding that she begins to get a clue about how her words are just empty platitudes.
  • Hypocrite: She tells Kyrie off for wanting to avenge her village against King Deltiard, but when Kyrie suggests killing Pernet, so she knows what it's like to lose a loved one, Eliya goes postal and demands Kyrie's death. After Kyrie tries to break her sword a few times, repeatedly calling her out on it, it finally sinks in.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: She borderline worships Princess Pernet and doesn't want anything at all to upset her, not even the truth of her father's wrongdoing.

     Lucciano
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/27_o_75.jpg
And here I thought I could find someone to entertain me.
A well known and notorious assassin who winds up meeting the Resistance's ambush upon Nail, a high-value kingdom target. Only Valj had a chance defending himself and even then did not walk away unscathed.
  • Blood Knight: Literally. He not only fights and kills for his amusement, but he's always licking blood off his blade.
  • Dark Is Evil: He has black hair, black eyes, wears all black, and he's a Psycho for Hire.
  • Flash Step: He walks out of Nail's carriage and is on the other side of 20 or so members of the resistance faster than Kyrie's eyes could track him.
  • Psycho for Hire: He is completely nuts and sells his murder services to the highest bidder.

     Princess Pernet Peltrand Deltiard
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/28_o_4.jpg
Don't work yourself too hard, Eliya.
The second princess. She's the only one of the royal family that ever acts with decency on screen.
  • Antagonistic Offspring: When the truth about Kyrie's circumstances becomes widespread, and most of her siblings are either far off from the capital, or dead, she leads the charge to oust her tyrannical father.
  • Benevolent Boss: Unlike her father and siblings, she treats those under her with care and respect.
  • White Sheep: To date, she's the only one of the Deltiard family that ever displays redeeming traits.

     Brigadier General Niall Deltar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4_o_2.jpg
I know you! You're the "useless" Teapot Hero!
The high value target the Resistance tried to ambush. Kyrie and Joanna raid his personal mansion and assassinate him the very night after the failed ambush. He is well known to ask for Parley under a White Flag of truce or surrender in order to lure his opponents into ambushes, uses civilians as shields, and is in charge of selling off POW as slaves.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: He dies as a result of multiple third and fourth degree burns, all over his body, as a result of being boiled alive.
  • Did Not Think This Through: He's in the bath while Kyrie is sticking her finger in the tub and he yells "You're that 'useless' Teapot Hero!" rather than try to get out of the tub while he has the chance, as Kyrie makes it a point to tell him she's raising the water temperature. It's only when the water starts scalding his skin that he realizes she's actually a mortal threat, but it's way, way too late for him by then.
  • Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil: The Resistance is commissioned to assassinate him because the relatives of his victims that he sold off into slavery have a grudge.
  • Villains Want Mercy: When Kyrie raises his bathwater to literally boiling temperatures and both hamstrings him and chops off his hands at the wrist, he surrenders and begs for mercy. Since killing him is sure to hurt King Deltiard, and he's a loathsome piece of refuse who has a long history of faking his surrender, Kyrie has no issue letting him be boiled alive.

     Barbario Gordo Deltiard
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/32_o.jpg
Don't compare me with those lowlifes!
Bortogue Deltiard's fourth son.
  • Dumb Is Good: He's the only member of the royal family, aside from Pernet, to show redeeming traits, because he's too stupid to be evil.
  • Dumb Muscle: He's just a battle-hungry idiot with more muscles than brains.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: He hangs out with the sons of rich aristocrats, thinking they're his friends, when they're all just out to exploit him.
  • Spirited Competitor: He fights just for the thrill of the challenge, win or lose.
  • Too Dumb to Live: When he's aware that the Resistance is taking out high value targets, he goes around in town, with no knights, and challenges random people to duels. He has absolutely no idea how close he came to having Kyrie kill him with her powers.

The Resistance:

     Joanna
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/joanna_1.png
You're not as dumb as you look, Kyrie!
  • Double Reverse Quadruple Agent: As the story progresses, it becomes obvious that she's involved with a lot of factions. The only faction she's not involved with are the military branch loyal to King Delitard, and that faction is on the wane thanks to the Internal Reveal that he's responsible for bringing the "hero" to ruin.
  • Hypocritical Humor: She berates Kyrie's amateurism in casing Stusk's mansion, but when the hit actually goes down, Kyrie's the one who pulls off her role perfectly while Joanna screws up and gets the guard's attention...
  • One Degree of Separation: She knows what happened in Ribb Village because "Uncle Kenny", is a local agent who filled The Resistance in on the attack before he got killed.
  • Pimped-Out Dress: Her outfit just reeks of opulence.
  • Realpolitik: She openly admits that she's offering aid to Kyrie because The Resistance needs "a hero" to offer them legitimacy, or even if they succeed in deposing the king, they're not going to rule for very long. This is a major deciding factor in Kyrie accepting the offer.
  • Who Needs Enemies?: Kyrie doesn't trust her, but since they have the same goal of deposing King Deltiard, Kyrie decides to work together with her.

     Valj Returner
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/verj.jpg
Welcome to The Resistance, Hero!
The leader of the resistance.

     Kain Node
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/32_o_5.jpg
Hello, Hero. One of us will die here today!
The second in command of the Resistance.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When Kyrie turns the tables, by blowing up an evergreen tree, crushing him beneath the trunk, he doesn't rant, rave, or beg forgiveness and mercy like all the rest. Instead, he just quietly accepts his fate.
  • Hostage Situation: He betrayed the Resistance because his wife and daughter were taken captive, his wife was handed over to Bartogue, and his daughter was wedded off to the First prince. He was promised their safe return in exchange for his betrayal.
  • The Mole: Kyrie catches him selling Resistance information to a castle operative.
  • Number Two: Second in command of the Resistance.
  • Parental Substitute: He's the one who raised Valj when the latter became a war-orphan.

Others

     Mero Odyssey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/29_o_3.jpg
A war refugee Kyrie and Beat meet in the capital as she's being harassed by Barbario's "friends." Kyrie would have ignored her but Beat insisted on having Kyrie help. She nearly outs Beat as the Saint of Empyro when she sees Beat use healing magic on Kyrie.
  • Orphan's Ordeal: Thanks to Bartogue's warmongering her parents were killed and she fled to the Deltiard capital to try and find a place to live.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: She sports red hair and she's a sweet child who wouldn't harm a fly without good reason.
