The Dream Team: Argonauts

The main characters of the story, and the ones who will either save Remnant or more or less doom it. With their leader being the utter cause of all the events to come.

    In general
  • Bash Brothers: Primarily on Atalanta and Jason. While the two argue and bicker the most, they work along fine when it comes down to it.
  • Ballroom Blitz: The Argonauts crash the Beacon dance.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Kind of. While Jason's team can get into arguments or even attack each other-usually Jason-they can work together if it comes down to it. Having been together since they were alive. All of them being allies one way or another.
  • Team Chef: Averted. As none of them know how to cook. The only one trying being Atalanta, and she is not very good with ingredients.
  • Underestimating Badassery: When Jason and his team see Jaune trying to stop their robbery...they laugh at him instead. This bites them back as while Jaune did lose the fight against Jason, he ended up causing an explosion that engulfed them all.
  • Underdressed for the Occasion: For some reason while at the Beacon dance, aside from Jason and Medea (Lily), Hercules and Atalanta are wearing outfits akin to swimwear.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Both Hercules and Atalanta do this at the Beacon dance.

     The Leader: Jason

Jason

Captain of the Argo
The leader of the famed team called the Argonauts. A cunning yet cowardly Servant who's own actions caused his team and others to land in Remnant rather badly. Weakened, wanted, and considerably barley surviving, Jason must lead his team once more. Otherwise face death once again, and not by the Grimm either.
  • All for Nothing: His plan to steal a lot of things from Signal ends up like this. The only thing he brought was a few books which were then later burned to ash. He's not happy about this.
  • Attention Whore: Loves to be on the spotlight, even if its criminal activity.
  • Best Friend: He considers Hercules this.
  • Could Have Been Messy: Were it not for him being a tough person in general, then Ozpin admits that the beatdowns given to Jason could have killed him. As Medea (Lily) puts it, Jason's a survivor.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Despite being a coward and not all great fighter, many Servants have commented on Jason being intelligent and smart whenever he catches them off guard. Capable of coming up with plans that can even impress his own team.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Unsurprisingly, he's weak and not that good at giving said curb stomp. It's the opposite.
    • His own teammates do this to him regularly.
    • Glynda did so with him and his team.
    • Ozpin shows himself fully capable of hurting Jason with ease.
    • Neo also kicks his butt, literally as well.
    • Jaune is the only person he can beat. Though that's not really saying much.
  • Dirty Coward: According to Medea (Lily), he's this as he does his best to escape from harm.
  • Domestic Abuse: His yelling to Medea (Lily) would certainty look like this to outsiders.
  • Exploited Immunity: He can trigger Dust explosions at point blank range because his Magic Resistance protects him.
  • Groin Attack: Is on the receiving end of this by Ozpin.
  • Jerkass: He wouldn't be Jason without this. The only person excepted from his attitude is Hercules.
  • It's All About Me: Kinda acts like this most of the time.
  • Manly Tears: Has them when he believes Hercules is dead.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Jason realizes he's in trouble upon facing a much more skilled enemy and magic which can actually hurt him.
  • Power of Trust: Cu Alter thought Jason had a plan to help Hercules when the two battled. He didn't. Oly because he trusted Hercules that he would win.
  • Shrug Take: When Ruby goes missing at Mount Glenn, he's not really surprised or cares. Instead feels she's somewhere important or dead.
  • Quiet Cry for Help: More like screaming for help when he's getting his butt kicked by Neo.
  • The Social Expert: Despite being a weakling he can convince, trick, and manipulate others without the people even realizing.
  • Shout-Out: He responds to Medea (Lily)'s words of Hercules being killed by the hydra poison because of Hera.
  • Take Over the World: At the end of Arc 1, he decides to rule all of Vale, and convinces the rest of the Argonauts to follow him.
  • Tempting Fate: Jason says both Atalanta and Hercules will be fine in Chapter 30. By the end of it, one of them died.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Jason admits this as while he's super powerful as a Servant, his skills are rather pathetic with the sword. Something even Ozpin notes saying it was just barely better than Jaune's.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He says he has no problems hitting girls while fighting one of Hundred Personas' female bodies, though he says she barely qualifies as female since her orginal self is male.

     The Berserker: Hercules

Hercules

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/47_heracles_berserker_2.png
The former Ace of the Argonauts, now the Muscle. The only friend of Jason and more than willing to help his friend out despite his foolishness. While cursed with Madness, he'll protect his team no matter what. For he's the strongest of them all.
  • Best Friend: Oddly, he's this to Jason of all people. Though even he has limits for his friend.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: Makes many White Fang members have this when easily kicking their butts. In Paladins to.
  • Dumb Muscle: Ziggzagged as due to the Mad Enchantment, he's not very bright and is usually just used to attack. However he has shown some signs of intelligence here and there.
  • Faster Than They Look: When Sigurd tries to attack Jason, Hercules moves quicker than anybody expected and not only catches, but breaks the sword.
  • Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: More like willing to put aside his grudge with Sigurd hurting him to face and battle Roman.
  • Ground-Shattering Landing: Anytime he drops down from a good height, the ground below him cracks. This makes him well feared.
  • Irony: Shortly after he regains his sanity and ability to speak, he loses his voice.
  • It Can Think: During his fight at the docks with Sigurd, while only a few letters, Hercules actually said said letters. Meaning he's not as dumb as he used to be anymore.
  • Killed Offscreen: He dies in Chapter 30 somehow. Chapter 31 reveals how: Roman Torchwick stabbed him with the Gram dagger he stole from Sigurd. Anyway, his God Hand ability revives him.
  • Sanity Has Advantages: If he weren't in the Berserker Class, then maybe he'd have figured out a way to escape his prison cell sooner. Not just roar and yell while floating in circles for days at a time.
  • The Big Guy: Naturally as he's the biggest of the Argonaut crew.
  • The Berserker: That's his Class.
  • Oh, Crap!: Makes Roman have this when he easily slices of the Paladin's own armored arm off.
  • Power Born of Madness: As a Berserker, he has the Mad Enchantment which more or less makes him mad and crazy. Unable to do much aside from being used to attack with brute force. Though according to Atalanta, it appears he may be regaining bits of his sanity somehow. Shown during the dock fight.
  • Reduced to Dust: What happens to him when Haagenti lasers him to ashes. He revives later of course.
  • Stealthy Colossus: Despite his great size, he is able to spy on a White Fang meeting undetected and report to Jason. Atalanta comments that she is aware he can be summoned as Assassin, but it shouldn't be possible for him to hide himself as Berserker.
  • You Can Talk?: In Chapter 31, after God Hand revives him, his Mad Enhancement seems to have left him, as he shocks everyone by speaking clearly and in complete sentences.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: You wouldn't.

     The Huntress: Atalanta

Atalanta

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_archer_atalanta_2.jpg
The cold beauty who vows to protect children. Even when trapped in another world she'll do her best to aid those in need, and help her old team of the Argonauts to survive. Even Jason if it comes down to it. Though if he gets out of hand, she'll be the one to stop him.
  • Always Accurate Attack: She can hit lots of things with ease.
  • Cat Girl: Due to her appearance, she could already be considered a cat girl. In Remnant, people believe her to be a cat faunus.
  • Damsel in Distress: Thanks to Jason's being a Manipulative Bastard, he somehow convinces the chaste and Action Girl Atalanta into wearing a skimpy outfit to have thugs attack her, thinking she's a weak girl. She admits to having no idea how he did that.
  • Doting Parent: Acts like this to Medea (Lily) a bit.
  • Establishing Character Moment: What she does with Jason when wanting to join the Argonauts. Jumping onto his boat then beating up some heroes to prove her worth, which it does.
  • Friend to All Children: She cares for children and wishes to help them. Seen the most with her interactions with Medea (Lily).
  • Hate at First Sight: She has this with Giles unsurprisingly for his history of killing kids and attempting to force her to do this during that one Singularity. She admits were it not for the Masters, she'd have killed him in Chaldea long before now.
  • Insistent Terminology: She insists on calling Atlas' robots "golems".
  • Lethal Chef: Her cooking is far from good. As Jason found out the hard way.
  • Mistaken Age: She attacks Roman when he was about to hurt Blake as she's a 'child'. Roman lampshades this as Blake is already past the child age limit.
  • Multishot she can shoot multiple arrows with successive ease. Sigurd himself admits he's nowhere near her skill even when throwing daggers.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite all her seriousness, Atalanta seems to enjoy certain things one wouldn't expect from her. Like her strange fashion sense and the fact that she watches kids and puts their pictures and information in a book. Not to mention getting jealous when Medea (Lily) tells her Roman cooks better than her.
  • Raised by Wolves: Bears actually. Because of that, she doesn't mind eating wild animals and plants since back when she was alive, it was eat or starve. Hercules agreeing with her, much to Jason's frustration.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Not with the Argonauts, but with Jason more specifically. Usually being the one to argue with him or belittle him. Still, she does acknowledge him at times. Until he messes up again.
  • Underdressed for the Occasion: Upon being brought back to Beacon the second time, Atalanta is in nothing but a slight see through green sleeping nightgown. She's not happy about this.
  • "Well Done, Daughter!" Girl: What Atalanta wanted from her dad, but never got.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Inverted. Despite her attack on Ruby and Penny, she actually made it so that it wouldn't hurt them. Wanting them to just leave so they didn't get involved. To bad Sigurd thought otherwise.
  • X on a Stick: Does this with rats on her arrows to cook.

The Witch of Betrayal: Medea (Lily)

Medea (Lily)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_caster_medea_lily_3.jpg
The Witch of Betrayal turned child, and the healer of this party. Unlike her older form, she will do whatever Jason says and will always be by his side. Despite not being a fighter, she can still throw a few good spells and will do her best to aid the ones she loves. Especially Jason. Always...
  • Abhorrent Admirer: She is madly in love with Jason, but he can't stand her.
  • The Dreaded: To the criminal underworld, having made a name for herself according to Junior. Especially to female criminals who became a shameful wreck after meeting her. Now being called the Princess of the Underworld.
  • Future Me Scares Me: How she feels about her older self thinking her as scary and a big bully.
  • Friend to Psychos: She's friends with Neo, who Jason states is a killer. Medea (Lily) just shoots back that lots of people they hand with Chaldea are also killers.
  • Good Is Not Soft: When facing Taiyang in a fight, she mercilessly wacks him with her staff shattering his aura, knocking him out, and possibly damaging his face.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: She's this to Jason. She loves him yet does rather strange things to him which more or less makes him scared.
  • Love Triangle: Played for Laughs. When Jason says he rather be with Hercules, Medea (Lily) sniffles that he'd rather be with a man than her.
  • Secret-Keeper: She keeps the hideouts that Roman has a secret. She won't give it up, even for a cookie.
  • Stepford Smiler: Jason says that despite all her sweet personality, she doesn't actually trust others as much as some may think. Aside from Jason and her Argonaut members, her attitude towards others is just a farce.
  • Squishy Wizard: She is knowledgeable on spells and can use a few offensive moves. Though she's unable to fight directly in battle.
  • Raised by Natives: Whenever Jason and the others aren't with her, Roman takes care of her.
  • Weak, but Skilled: She's far from being the toughest member on the Dream Team. However she makes up for it with her knowledge in healing magic and while she may not look or act like it, is very smart.
  • Yandere: Tries to kill Ozpin for harming Jason.

     The Doctor: Asclepius

Asclepius

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asclepius2.png
The God of Medicine has come to Remnant, and rejoins his team to heal their wounds-mostly Jason. He seeks ways to both improve his medical knowledge, and heal those in times of war. Though it may be tough when everyone's trying to kill the Argonauts.

     The Mad Warrior: Caenis

Caenis

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/caenis_stage_2.png
From woman to the man Caeneus, to back to a woman. No matter the gender, the tyrant of Greek now comes to join the Argonauts ready to help rule once more. Ready to strike down any foe that gets in their way. Especially those who call her a mere 'girl'.

The Duo Class Pair: Dioscuri Twins

Dioscuri Castor and Pollux

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dioscuri_4.png
Two twins who were betrayed by humanity, now ironically summoned once more to save humanity of another world. Despite their anger, they join Jason in helping humanity to see him rule this new world. That way, when he rules the chances of humanity being doomed increased by their leaders hands. A win-win situation.
