Their love rating card places them as one of the lowest rating couples implying that, due to marrying young, they lacked the solid emotional foundation to keep their relationship afloat once physical intimacy became impossible.
  • Off with His Head!: Died decapitated while defending his daughter from a septarian.
  • Sympathetic Adulterer: He started to take mistresses with his wife's blessing thanks to a health condition negating them of having sex with each other. Still, in her last days he always insisted she was the only wowan he ever "made love" with.

  • Age-Gap Romance: Four years younger than his future wife, Galaxia.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Showed interest in Galaxia since he was little, but it was after the aftermatch of Pulsaria and Heron's kiss that they started a friendship. Galaxia never looked him as a love interest until he kissed her.

  • Understanding Boyfriend: He's the only person who never made fun of Helia's behavior or fixations, and was capable of reading the very subtle changes of her mood thanks to knowing her so well.

  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Died maimed by bearicorns.
  • Dead Sparks: Celestia and Jasper were once a happy couple, but she became colder towards him because of false rumors of infidelity hitting her really badly. Imagine that one day your wife starts to grow distant from you, you try to ask what's wrong but she insists everything's fine right before five minutes later she starts yelling at you for no reason you're conscious of.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Turns out he was always faithful on Celestia, but was slandered by the Fox, Price and Bell houses once he started to demand they paid their loans back.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20220123_044649.png

  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: He actually survived the fire at the Plague Palace, and was already at the kingdom bordering Butterfly kingdom when Luna arrived there, but had to stay thanks to being recovering from sickness.
  • Rescue Romance: Edric sacrificed a lot of his courting time with Eclipsa in order to investigate the Piefolk prince, and then successfully stopping him from poisoning her and exposing the conspiracy. Eclipsa was so thankful and awestrucked that she spend the resto of the time with him and chose him at the end.

    Oliver Forest

  • Morality Pet: On the other hand, Arthur was always pardoned for his "infidelity" and when he was truly devastated for his sister's death, she did mellow down to comfort him.
  • Sex for Solace: Vesper was conceived due to Arthur looking for solace in Heaven after his sister's death.

    Caspian Waterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20220123_044710.png
  • Disappeared Dad: Died in a shipwreck when his firstborn was five years old, and his second wasn't yet born.
  • Grand Romantic Gesture: Subverted. Vesper prefers evidence of political and financial corruption she wasn't aware of over a painting or a make-out session.

  • Battle Couple: Dorian has always fought alongside Solaria, first as her squire, then as her fellow knight, then as her husband.
  • Camp Straight: Solaria's biography says that their wedding would've been modest and restraint if it weren't for Dorian's love of luxury and pomp.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Dorian was a pretty-looking man with a slender build, while Solaria was a not-so feminine warrior with a musculature to show it.
  • Mistaken for Gay: Solaria was frankly surprised that he expressed interest in her by giving her the winner's wreath because she honestly thought he was solely into boys.
  • Pretty Boy: He always had a feminine face and a delicate complexion.

    Robin Redbird
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20220123_044722.png
  • Alliterative Name
  • Loving Bully: Word of God says that he bullied Hesperia as children because "she was pretty and made him feel weird." In her biography it's revelaed that, in their youth, he and Hesperia had a rivalry over who was a better musician.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Appearance-wise, he was based on Bob Ross.
  • Second Love: After maturing, and once she was available once more, Robin and Hesperia became a couple.
  • Serenade Your Lover: Subverted. The beginning of his relationship with Hesperia is unanimously agreed to be when he sang her a love song to lift her mood after the end of her relationship with Lance Clifford, but it was because it was the only cheesy song he knew.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead
  • Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: Downplayed. While Robin isn't ugly, the author loves to joke he's rather plain compared to Hesperia, and her cast of co-actors.
