Main Characters
Hector Cruz
Voiced by: Justin Cowden
One of the main characters of the series along with Ozzy and Drix. He is a 13-year-old boy whose body serves as the main setting for the series due to Ozzy and Drix being sucked out of Frank DeTorre by a mosquito and then ending up inside Hector,
- Audience Surrogate: Presumably the reason why the setting of the show was switched to the inside of his body as opposed to Frank's since he's a 13-year-old kid and the show is a Saturday morning kids cartoon.
- Big Eater: A recurring trait that is brought about him is that he eats a lot and will eat pretty much anything, to which Travis lampshades in "The Globfather" when Hector talks about a scary carnival ride.Hector: You'd have to be nuts to go on that. I'd rather eat my own foot.
Travis: Eh, you'll eat anything. - Born Unlucky: As his body is the main setting for the show, bad things happen to him a lot. From getting sick, to almost getting beaten up, and almost dying, Hector is lucky that Ozzy and Drix are always there to save him.
- Lovable Jock: He plays a lot of basketball at school and skateboarding is one of his favorite hobbies, and he is usually a Nice Guy with some occasional exceptions.
- Super Gullible: He can be talked into doing something very easily often, particularly whenever Travis dares him to do something.
- Sweet Tooth: He really likes sugary food such as candy and ice cream.
Recurring Characters
Maria Amino
Voiced by: Tasia Valenza
- Fair Cop: She's a very beautiful cell-cop.
- Ms. Fanservice: Slender, feisty, mature and wears a crop top that exposes her midriff. Makes one wonder if that's Hector's mom's genes shining through.
- Non-Mammal Mammaries: Amusingly, on a character who lives inside a mammal.
- Spicy Latina: She has a very fiery personality.
- Statuesque Stunner: On a microscopic scale, mind you, but she's proportionally very tall.
- Tomboyish Ponytail: A bit of the protoplasm at the back of her head is shaped that way.
Ellen Patella
Voiced by: Vivica A. Fox
- Hello, Attorney!: Acts as one of the leading attorneys of Hector, and was the one who suggested that Ozzy and Drix opened their own freelance agency.
- Prim and Proper Bun: Her "hair" is shaped to resemble this.
Mayor Spryman
Voiced by: Alanna Ubach
- Bratty Half-Pint: Well, he is the inner embodiment of a teenager.
- Butt-Monkey: Sometimes gets his comeuppance in certain episodes depending on how much of a Jerkass he's been. All of it played for laughs.
- A Child Shall Lead Them: Justified Trope. Hector is a teenager after all.
- Expy: To Mayor Phlegmming from the film, though unlike Phlegmming, he's a lot more competent and not as selfish, and he actually cares about the Hector's health and safety.
- Fake Ultimate Hero: Constantly takes credit for Ozzy and Drix's captures of dangerous viruses. The opening sequence lampshades this.
- Hidden Heart of Gold: He trusts Ozzy and Drix to keep Hector healthy, in spite of butting heads with them frequently.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He can be a jerk sure, but he does mean well and cares a lot about Hector and the city.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Tends to either take credit for Ozzy and Drix’s successes or berate them for them.
Chief Gluteus
Voiced by: Jim Cummings
- Da Chief: Downplayed. He always gives Osmosis a hard time, but he’s willing to listen to him and take his advice into account.
- Meaningful Name: Named for the Gluteus Maximus, which is the largest muscle in the human body.
- Old Soldier: Well, Old Cop, but he gives off the impression of being far more experienced and older than the rest of the force.
- No-Sell: Being a muscle cell rather than a white blood cell, he's immune to like allergens, unlike the white blood cells.
- Surrounded by Idiots: He often feels like it, given how almost all the police force is either eccentric or incompetent.
Villains
Scarlet Fever
Voiced by: Tim Curry
- Ax-Crazy: He’s utterly batshit insane, and the second he gets into Hector’s body he goes about trying to destroy everything in his path.
- Badass Decay: It’s implied that he used to be extremely powerful, but losing territory to the germs moving into Frank severely weakened him. Getting into Hector’s body allowed him to regain his badass.
- Cold Ham: He manages to devour the scenery without even raising his voice.
- Establishing Character Moment: He politely thanks a mechanic for building him a car customized specifically to his needs, and then tries to murder the mechanic after he asks to be payed for his work.
- Expy: To Thrax from the film.
- Faux Affably Evil: Much like Thrax, he keeps up a polite facade that barely conceals the deranged monster within.
- Karmic Death: After trying to murder Hector, he gets killed by the spleen, one of Hector’s internal organs.
- Killed Off for Real: He gets ripped to shreds by the spleen.
- One-Winged Angel: He bulks up and gets more powerful after drinking kidney fluid.
- Starter Villain: He's the debut villain of the series.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Of Thrax.
- Villainous Breakdown: He utterly loses it when he realizes Osmosis has redirected the attack helicopter to the spleen, spelling certain doom for him.
Strepfinger
Voiced by: Brad Garrett and Jim Cummings
Sylvian Fisher
Voiced by: Brian Posehn
- The Bad Guy Wins: Although he fails to become the new mayor of Hector, he successfully smashes Spryman.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Maria mentions that he's a sweet guy. Think again.
- Four Eyes, Zero Soul: Wears glasses, and is willing to harm Hector in order to gain political power.
- Meaningful Name: Sylvian Fisher = Sylvian Fissure.
- Villain with Good Publicity: Beloved by the public, but the second he’s behind closed doors he’s hatching evil plans (that he literally calls evil plans) and going full Mad Scientist in his secret laboratory.
General Malaise
Voiced by: Charlie Adler
- Large Ham: Given that he's played by the The Red Guy, it's expected.
- Weaksauce Weakness: Salt makes him dehydrate, just like in the real world.
Sal Monella
Voiced by: Henry Winkler
The Pneumaniac
Voiced by: Pat Fraley
Cryo
Voiced by: Susan Silo
- Anthropomorphic Personification: Cryo is unique in that she isn't a virus or bacteria but essentually a personification of hypothermia. This makes her one of the dangerous villains in the series.
- Near-Villain Victory: She came very close to killing Hector, and if help hadn't found him in time, would have. Even after that, Ozzy and Drix just barely manage to kill her.
- Person of Mass Destruction: Cryo is the embodiment of hypothermia, and basically a walking ice age. As such, she's one of the few threats Hector faces that is very capable of killing Hector singlehandedly.
Nick O'Teen's Gang
Voiced by: Tim Curry (Nick O'Teen), Frank Welker (Tar), Tara Strong (Carbon Monoxide), Jeff Bennett (Butane)
- Achilles' Heel: Nick is nigh unbeatable so long as his host is addicted to him. The moment Hector breaks his addition, Nick is reduced to a powerless husk Ozzy easily kills.
- Anthropomorphic Vice: Nick and his gang represents cigarettes, its contents, and their effects. Notably, Nick actually is portrayed more as the personification of cigarette addiction rather than just a chemical.
- Affably Evil: Tar.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Nick O'Teen turns cells into his slaves with his powers, and intends to use Hector’s pleasure center to keep him hooked on cigarettes.
- Catchphrase: "I'm unbeatable!" for Nick O'Teen.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Tar, Carbon Monoxide, and Butane are burnt alive by a nerve cell, while Nick O'Teen is crushed by Ozzy.
- Faux Affably Evil: Nick O'Teen,
- Knight of Cerebus: All of them are treated as dead serious, particularly Nick O'Teen, to the point that Ozzy, who has seen them get Frank addicted to cigarettes, (mostly) stops with the jokes and focuses entirely on trying to stop them.
- Large Ham: Nick O'Teen.
- Madness Mantra: Anyone brainwashed by Nick O'Teen endlessly repeat his name.
- The Smurfette Principle: Carbon Monoxide is the only female member of Nick’s gang.
- Villainous Friendship: All of them genuinely like each other.
- Weaksauce Weakness: As Ozzy put's it Nick is easy to beat. All anybody has to do is say "No." to a cigarette. Sure enough, once Hector breaks his addiction, Nick is reduced to a powerless husk Ozzy easily crushes to death.
