Original Characters

    Dr. Mac
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dr_mac_6.jpg
"Welcome to the Echo Chamber! I'm your host Dr. Mac."

Pompous Political Pundit: Dr. Mac is a left-wing example of this trope.

A Degree in Useless Dr. Mac considers himself a genius because he has a doctorate in lesbian poetry.

Everyone has Standards: Dr. Mac sees Bernie Sanders as going too far by praising dictators

    Jason

The Straight Man: Is this to the Social Contractor

Only Sane Man: Is this in the cartoons in which he appears

Allegorical Character: Represents the citizen whereas the Social Contractor represents the Government

    The Social Contractor/Governman

Allegorical Character: Jason and The Social Contractor are described as a metaphor for the Citizen and the government. Jason being the citizen and the Social Contractor being the government.

Not Me This Time: Jason acknowledged that the Social Contractor had nothing to do with the breakout of Covid.

Insane Troll Logic: Is surprised that Jason isn’t grateful for sending him a lifetime supply of cat food after having noticed that Jason didn’t have a cat and suggests that the best way to respond to 9/11 was for America to lend military support for exactly the same people who did it.

    The Debunkers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/debunkers_2.jpg

Two self-proclaimed “brilliant intellectuals” who moved into a bunker to avoid “catching the stupid” and spend their days debunking YouTube videos. Tropes associated with these characters include.

  • Author Tract: Their purpose is to relay Coughlin’s rebuttals to others.
  • Ambiguously Christian: In their rebuttal to Bill Nye over abortion.
  • Broken Ace: At one point actually caught the stupid.
  • Fiction 500: One of them owns over 500 mansions and the two believe that “yachts are a human right” much to Seamus’s frustration.
  • He's Back!: After recovering from having caught the stupid.
  • No Name Given: They are known only as the Debunkers.
  • Those Two Guys: Are never seen apart from each other and don’t have different names or personalities.

    Right-Wing Strawman

Strawman Political: Is based on stereotypes about the political right.

    Left-Wing Strawman

Strawman Political: Is based on stereotypes about the political Left.

    Zachary
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zachary_8.jpg

  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite being a left wing punk parody, when he comes out to his grandmother he avoids being explicit about what Polyamory is, and is horrified when she starts calling herself it.

    Eric
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eric_4.jpg
"The biggest difference between the left and right is like, empathy man."

  • Domestic Abuse: Eric is this towards his girlfriend. In "average pro abortion man", he tells his girlfriend that he's entitled to have sex with her, even though he didn't want a child. He even calls her "small and vulnerable" for being pregnant and tells her to get an abortion. And at the end of the video, if you look closely, he snatches her wallet from the purse she's wearing.
  • Holier Than Thou: He is this trope personified. Even though he is an atheist (as confirmed in one video), he was established to have a bloated sense of moral superiority and is disrespectful to anyone whose views don't align with his while also being blatantly hypocritical. And to top it all off, he wears a poorly-crafted angel costume complete with a sash that says "Better Than You".
  • Hypocritical Humor: He was also designed to highlight the far-left's constant and glaring hypocrisy.
  • Iconic Outfit: He occasionally wears an angel costume with a sash that says "Better Than You" to highlight his self-righteous attitude.
  • Jerkass: He is unfriendly towards anyone he disagrees with.
  • Lack of Empathy: In "Left Wing Empathy™", Eric claims that left-wingers are way more empathetic than those on the right. Ironically, however, he callously mocks and yells at those whom he disagrees with and has absolutely no respect for the unborn, churches (in spite of their devotion to helping the poor), people suffering from high taxes and debt, and so on. In "Trump Catches COVID", when one character laments that his restaurant was forcibly shut down due to COVID, Eric responds by calling him "selfish".
  • Straw Hypocrite: In "average pro abortion man", Eric whines about how everyone should care for one another while he just sits around like a lazy slob and is unwilling to get a job. Then when his girlfriend tells him she's pregnant, Eric immediately responds by telling her to get an abortion. After a long argument that followed, his girlfriend rightfully calls him out on his usual hypocrisy, to which Eric responds by admitting that he doesn't really care for altruism and only pretends to when he wants things like free healthcare or housing, and to avoid responsibility altogether.
Girlfriend: So much for altruism and providing for the needs of others.
Eric: Oh, I only say that when I want free stuff.

  • Loser Protagonist: In episodes wherein he is the protagonist he tends to have shades of this.

  • Skewed Priorities: Accuses an interlocutor of this in response to the latter taking exception to his referring to an active terrorist whose bomb he seeks to defuse as a “Muslim terrorist” and likewise sees You Shouldn’t Do That Man as being too concerned with telling people they shouldn’t do bad things instead of stopping them from so doing
  • Sincerity Mode: Assumes this when talking about Alfred Kinsey and when discussing the controversy over Snopes mistaking Babylon Bee for a genuine attempt at News. As well as in video wherein the Debunkers debunk John Oliver’s claims about Abortion.
  • Straw Loser: Occasionally becomes this depending on the episode.
  • You Need to Get Laid: Downplayed but he’s told the reason he’s a libertarian is because “you don’t have a girlfriend”.

    Ben Shapiro

An American Orthodox Jewish political commentator who considers himself a libertarian and is the founder of The Daily Wire. Shapiro is also a frequent character in FreedomToons. Tropes associated with this character include.

  • Actually Pretty Funny: The real Ben Shapiro made a video reacting to the cartoon Shapiro and finding it funny and in response FreedomToons made a video titled “Ben Shapiro absolutely reacts to my cartoon of him” wherein the cartoon Shapiro reacts to the real Shapiro reacting to the cartoon Shapiro “So apparently someone took me, Ben Shapiro, a cartoon character, and made a real life version of me” and cartoon Ben Shapiro admitted to finding real Shapiro funny but “too fast talking to be believable.”

  • Distaff Counterpart: Shapiro’s wife the Doctor is portrayed as this.
  • Evil Counterpart: The version of himself from “If Right-wingers were left-wingers” may be conceptualized as this.
  • Eye Beams: Along with “facts and logic” he used them to “destroy” Leftists.
  • Improbably High I.Q.:Has an IQ of 216.
  • Jewish and Nerdy: Given the real person he’s based on that’s to be expected.
  • Literal Metaphor: His Ben Shapiro Destroys videos include vaporizing left-wingers with laser eye vision.
  • Motor Mouth: Has this to a greater extent than the real Shapiro as when he appears on Dr. Mac’s show and speaks impossibly quickly Dr. Mac asks his producers if they’re speeding Shapiro up only to be told that he’s in slow motion.
  • Memetic Badass: In FreedomToons, Shapiro has Hex Vision with which he literally destroys his opponents.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: Has an IQ of 216 but is still considered dumb by his own family since he’s the only one with an IQ lower than 300.

  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: He is not happy when Zelensky did not acknowledge his donations, leading him to make even more donations in a vain effort to get Zelensky's attention.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: The moment after Biden's press conference aide first leaves his presence in "Biden Reveals his Power Level", Biden took a swig from a bottle of beer.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: In the recent video "Biden Reveals his Power Level," not only does it show Biden feigning his senility, but he is revealed to be a cynical accelerationist who is intentionally sabotaging the very infrastructure of the American Government, believing he is doing so to appease God for the sins of the nation, which means allowing radical far left movements to continue acting as depraved and amoral while spreading their ideas throughout the nation. Although he is encouraging and enabling these movements, Biden continues to ridicule and belittle the representative "groomers, abortionists, and pornographers" in the Oval Office and even bluntly delivers a "The Reason You Suck"Speech.
  • Verbal Tic: Tends to end most of his phrases with "man".

    Kamala Harris
