Luminiferi

    open/close all folders

    General
  • The Ace: Many Luminiferi are "prodigy deities", which gives them accelerated physical and magical growths compared to normal deities. This stems from both their biological father, Luminiferous, and their paternal grandfather, Morning Star, being "prodigy deities" themselves.
  • Badass Family: Much like their father, many of the Luminiferi are powerful and ancient deities, and will not hesitate to fight if provoked. It apparently runs in the family, as Morning Star and Clara Equus, the Luminiferi's paternal grandfather and great-grandmother, respectively, are deities who are more ancient, powerful, and capable warriors than Luminiferous in their own right.
  • Deity of Human Origin: While they already have divine blood, many of them have ascended to godhood later in life.
  • Divine Parentage: As their group name suggests, all of the Luminiferi are adoptive/biological children of Luminiferous. This means they have a grandfather in Morning Star, a great-grandmother in Clara Equus, and ultimately a great-great 'grandfather' in King Equus.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Through their adoptive/biological father, Luminiferous, the Luminiferi are grandchildren of Morning Star, one of the most wicked and vilest Fallen gods to ever exist. However, the Luminiferi themselves are generally heroic, and while learning the truth naturally affected them, they learned to accept their heritage and not let it define their own actions.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: Thanks to being descended from Luminiferous, they are among the strongest beings in the world as soon as birth.
  • Villainous Lineage: Defied. All of the Luminiferi are related to Morning Star, whether through adoption or biological means, but thanks to Luminiferous' positive influence, they know of Morning Star's crimes yet chose to not let their lineage define them.

    Queen Lucerna, the Unending Journey

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Progress, Journeys, Training

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Queen Lucerna (her entry here) is the Alicorn goddess of Progress, Journeys, and Training, and is a benevolent member of the Luminiferi.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: While she was born an Alicorn demigoddess, it wasn't until she confronted Lord Vilis, the evil warlock who attacked and took over her home kingdom, that she fully came into it in order to save one of her friends, giving her the domains she has now. She would Ascend to true godhood sometime after.
  • The Ace: Like her father and paternal grandfather, Luminiferous and Morning Star, respectively, she was born a "prodigy deity", which gives her accelerated physical and magical growth rates compared to those of a normal deity's. This marks her as an exceptionally talented goddess, albeit one who excels in nurturing people's potential by sending them on heroic quests like the one she took in her youth.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Progress, Journeys, and Training.
  • Arch-Enemy: Her most notable enemy was an evil warlock named Lord Vilis, who attacked her home kingdom and took over as its ruler, forcing her and her parents to flee. Instead of relying on her father, Luminiferous, to destroy Lord Vilis, however, she would embark on a heroic quest to gather the artifacts, skills, and friends needed for her to face the warlock in a final battle. Defeating Lord Vilis, as well as saving a friend from him, not only freed her home kingdom, but also allowed her to fully come into her heritage as an Alicorn demigoddess, giving her the domains she has now.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her mane and tail, though fiery like Luminiferous and Morning Star, trails behind her like a path, symbolizing both her nature as a goddess of Progress and Journeys and her belief that blood ties will only make one evil if they choose to be evil.
  • Badass Teacher: Like Luminiferous, she is a very competent and experienced teacher who mentored countless students, and her domain of Training specifically helps her see what training methods would prove effective in bringing out people's full potential. She's also a very powerful goddess who became the way she is now by undertaking a heroic quest to defeat a Sorcerous Overlord who took over her home kingdom, and due to being a "prodigy deity" like her father, she's much stronger compared to normal deities.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Like Luminiferous, she's a sweet-hearted and compassionate mare who enjoys training and teaching her students to become greater than they were before (though she prefers to have her students reach greatness via their own merit), and can be spoiled, silly, and dorky. She was also a benevolent Queen in the many times she assumed the position as ruler. However, as a daughter of an ancient god, she can be terrifying when genuinely enraged, and is powerful enough to put up a decent fight despite not having domains or powers that aren't offensive by nature. It's also noted that she's an experienced adventurer herself, having confronted and defeated an evil warlock to save her home kingdom in her youth.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: This is noted to be one of her character flaws; due to sharing a similarly kind, heroic nature with her father, she desires to both protect people from harm and mentor as many aspiring heroes as she could, which has the consequence of running herself ragged.
  • Color Motif:
    • Orange, which represents adventure (or risk-taking), social communication, and friendship. Lucerna is an orange-furred Alicorn goddess of Progress, Journeys, and Training who became who she is today by undertaking a heroic quest to defeat Lord Vilis, gaining friends and artifacts that would prove instrumental in defeating him. After her Ascension, she would help others become stronger by sending them on journeys that would help them learn. Orange also represents divorce — part of progress involves introspection and training oneself to recognize and/or discard any toxic behaviors that are preventing them from reaching their true potential.
    • Purple, which represents respect, inspiration, spirituality, and power. Lucerna is a purple-haired and purple-winged Alicorn goddess who, despite being related to Morning Star, the vilest and most wicked god to ever exist, chose to defy her lineage by becoming a heroine, defeating an evil warlock that took over her home kingdom with aid from artifacts and a group of friends she met. She would succeed Vilis as Queen of her kingdom, Ascending to true godhood in the meantime, and would become famous for being a benevolent goddess who helps nurture people's potential like her father, Luminiferous. Purple also represents immaturity — despite all her good traits, she can be haughty at times, and her dorky side can cause people to not take her seriously.
  • Cool Teacher: She takes after Luminiferous by being a sweet, compassionate teacher who loves guiding people in becoming the best they can be, though at times she can be rather dorky and silly. While she does believe in letting her students achieve greatness by their own merit, she continues supporting them by providing aid from the shadows like Luminiferous does with his own students. However, she does reveal herself to be a Badass Teacher, especially if her students are in danger with little way out save for divine intervention.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was originally an Alicorn demigoddess who later came to embody Progress, Journeys, and Training after saving one of her friends from an evil warlock, Lord Vilis. She would Ascend to true godhood sometime later.
  • Divine Parentage: Her mother, Radiant Path, is a mortal Unicorn farmer from the First Age. Her father, Luminiferous, is the Alicorn god of Perfection, Self-Determination, and Potential.
  • Endearingly Dorky: She inherited the dorky and silly aspects of her personality from Luminiferous, who has similar traits. Considering that she heavily resembles a corrupted Alicorn, this helps people recognize her benevolence and shows that she does have a sense of humor despite her looks.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Like her father and paternal grandfather, she has Draconic eyes, the telltale sign of a Nightmare Alicorn.
  • Face of a Thug: Like Luminiferous, she has many of Morning Star's corrupted traits when he became a Nightmare Alicorn, such as a curved, misshapen horn, Draconic eyes, and demonic, bat-like wings. Despite this, she consciously chooses to defy her lineage by being a genuinely benevolent goddess who helps people grow stronger, and she inherited Luminiferous' dorky and silly sides.
  • The Fashionista: She has worn a large variety of dresses over the Ages, and after publicly resurfacing in the Fourth Age, she commissioned several dresses from Princess Rarity Belle/Lucia herself.
  • God Is Good: She's a sweet, kind, and patient mare who desires to help people reach their fullest potential like she did. As the Alicorn goddess of Progress, Journeys, Training, she trains her students by sending them on journeys that would give them the skills and allies they need, all while monitoring their progress and helping her students from the shadows. Her upbringing largely shaped who she would become later on, as despite being born into a privileged life, her parents made sure she developed a moral compass and a good work ethic.
  • Good Eyes, Evil Eyes: Like Luminiferous and Morning Star post-Face–Heel Turn, she has Draconic eyes with slitted pupils. While this is normally a trait of a Nightmare Alicorn (and their offspring), she's not evil, instead choosing to be good after learning of her heritage as Morning Star's granddaughter.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: A "Bat wings" and "Multicolored wings" example. She has orange, demonic, bat-like wings with purple gradients, with the bat wings being a corrupted trait inherited from her father, Luminiferous, who was a clone of Morning Star, who turned into a Nightmare Alicorn with the same wings after turning evil. While this would mark her as corrupted herself, she chose to defy her lineage by becoming a benevolent goddess. Her wing gradient is also an eldritch trait Alicorns develop the "older" they get, due to deities only getting Stronger with Age.
  • Heroic BSoD: She is devastated when she learns her paternal grandfather is Morning Star, who in life was such a vile and wicked god that he became known as "The Devil" long after his death. Fortunately, her father, Luminiferous, would assure her that she can choose to be the exact opposite of Morning Star just as he did in his own youth, something she took to heart.
  • The High Queen: After defeating Lord Vilis and ending his tyranny, she would become Queen of her home kingdom, ruling it benevolently by helping her mortal subjects help themselves and acting as a quest-giver for aspiring heroes. Despite her kingdom having long since fallen with the end of the First Age, she still carries her crown and title, along with the leadership skills that came from her experiences from ruling; it's noted that she still rules kingdoms occasionally.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted; deities grow "older" by getting Stronger with Age, which manifests in increased divine power and eldritch traits. As an Alicorn goddess from the First Age, she's much stronger, bigger, and more eldritch than those who came in succeeding Ages, but is weaker compared to Luminiferous, a "Titan"-ranked god who was born during pre-Known History.
  • Immortal Ruler: After defeating Lord Vilis, she succeeded him as her home kingdom's ruler, becoming The High Queen to her subjects in contrast to the tyrannical Sorcerous Overlord Vilis was when he was in charge. While her kingdom eventually fell with the end of the First Age, she would occasionally assume the role as a Queen, ruling her kingdoms benevolently until they fell also.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Instead of relying on Luminiferous to destroy Lord Vilis when the latter took over her home kingdom, she embarked on a heroic quest upon her divine father's encouragement, working to gain the skills, artifacts, and friends she needed to confront Lord Vilis. Not only does she succeed in defeating Lord Vilils, but she also fully comes into her demi-divine heritage after saving a friend from the evil warlock. This also leads to her being crowned Queen of her home kingdom, and she kept her title and crown long after her home kingdom fell.
  • Magic Hair: Her purple mane and tail are composed of fiery energy that tends to trail behind her like a path.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Unending Journey", due to being a goddess of Progress, Journeys, and Training who represents the long, yet ultimately rewarding process of training oneself physically, mentally, and emotionally in order to reach one's full potential.
  • Meaningful Name: Lucerna's name is a term referring to an oil lamp in multiple languages. This fits her as like her father, she is a Badass Teacher who mentored various heroes and covertly aided them on their quests.
  • Mentor Archetype: Like her father, Luminiferous, she would become a mentor of countless students since Ascending in the First Age, guiding and training aspiring would-be heroes to reach their full potential. Her domains of Progress, Journeys, and Training specifically revolve around teaching, albeit in the form of undertaking traditional heroic quests like she did in her youth. However, like Luminiferous, she values the importance of letting her students make their own choices instead of doing everything for them.
  • The Navigator: As a goddess of Journeys, she has a supernaturally impeccable sense of direction, allowing her to find her way to any location she wants to be in. While she does have the option to "railroad" people by using her power to send them to places they need to be in for them to grow, she prefers to guide and suggest locations, as she values free will in her students. Her entry notably compares her to the "Cutie Map" possessed by the Mane Six/Council of Friendship in that the Cutie Map similarly sends people to places where friendship-related problems need fixing.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an "Ascendant" deity, the rarest of the three main types of deities, as well as an "Ethereal" deity whose nature centers around more abstract concepts compared to "Elemental" deities. Due to her father being a clone of a Fallen Alicorn, she was born with a corrupted appearance, though is a genuinely benevolent one thanks to her upbringing and Luminiferous encouraging her to not let her lineage define who she is.
  • Personality Powers: Her domains of Progress, Journeys, and Training all revolve around her desire to teach people how to reach their full potential and monitor their progress so they can develop good habits like she did. They also makes her similar to her father, Luminiferous, who does the same thing with his students but teaches them to reach their full potential by breaking free of things that prevent them from doing so, like blood ties or social statuses.
  • Physical God: As a daughter of a mortal Unicorn mare and an Alicorn god, she is this. While her domains aren't really suited for combat, she's still a "prodigy deity" who specializes in training people via traditional heroic quests, and thus has four Ages worth of wisdom and experience. She's also an Alicorn, giving her the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes, and due to how divine aging works, she's quite strong, as she came from the First Age and thus is between 10,000 to 100,000-years-old, making her stronger than younger deities.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Averted; while she is traditionally feminine and consciously chooses to act that way, she admits that she doesn't like wearing anything pink.
  • The Power of Friendship: A huge factor in her victory over Lord Vilis is because she gained multiple friends who she trusted and depended on to help her defeat him. Her act of saving one of her friends from Lord Villis also allowed her to fully come into her heritage as an Alicorn demigoddess.
  • Purple Is Powerful: She has a purple mane and tail composed of fiery energy, and she has a magical wing gradient that goes from orange to purple. Due to her heritage as a daughter of an ancient "prodigy deity", she is one herself, which, combined with her being from the First Age (deities get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse), makes her incredibly powerful.
  • The Quest: In her youth, she embarked on one with Luminiferous' encouragement to defeat an evil warlock named Lord Vilis, who had attacked and taken over her home kingdom. The experience not only gave her skills and friends she otherwise wouldn't have if she relied on her divine father to stop Lord Vilis, but also allowed her to fully come into her demi-divinity. Presently, as the Alicorn goddess of Journeys, she has the power to send people to where they need to be, which she uses in tandem with her other domains to help them reach their full potential.
  • Seers: Her domains of Progress and Journeys give her a form of precognition, but with different purposes. The former allows her to see short-term futures that one could potentially reach, while the latter allows her to predict places that people need to go to in order to get stronger.
  • Semi-Divine: She was born an Alicorn demigoddess due to her father, Luminiferous, being an ancient god himself, though it wasn't until she saved one of her friends from Lord Vilis that she gained the domains she has now. She would Ascend to true godhood sometime after Lord Vilis' defeat.
  • Spoiled Sweet: Despite living a privileged life as the daughter of a wealthy Unicorn farmer and an ancient Alicorn god, her parents ensured she would never become a Spoiled Brat by instilling both a good work ethic and a moral compass in her since fillyhood. By the time she becomes a full-fledged goddess and a Queen, she's largely sweet, kind, and compassionate, with her spoiled tendencies being tempered by her good traits.
  • Taught by Experience: Part of her nature and methods involves teaching her students how to reach their fullest potential by their own merit. While she doesn't coddle her students, she isn't a full Sink or Swim Mentor either, and supports her students by aiding them from the shadows while they're out on their quests. After all, she managed to defeat a Sorcerous Overlord and develop her domains the same way in her youth.
  • Upbringing Makes the Hero: Despite being the daughter of a wealthy farmer and an ancient Alicorn god, she never let her status or heritage go to her head thanks to her parents making sure that she doesn't. This eventually paid off; when Lord Vilis took over her home kingdom, she went on many heroic quests to stop him, unable to see anyone suffer, and eventually defeated Lord Vilis with the help of a group of friends she gained along the way. And when she discovered her true heritage as Morning Star's granddaughter, she came to understand that blood ties don't make anyone evil unless they chose to be. While her character growth allowed her to earn godhood, it was ultimately her parents who set her on the path she chose to take.
  • Vibrant Orange: She's an orange-furred Alicorn goddess, and she is a kind, patient, and sweethearted mare who, while a capable ruler and teacher, can be rather dorky and silly just like her father.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's an orange-furred Alicorn goddess with a purple mane and tail made of fiery energy trailing behind her like a path, and a magical wing gradient going from orange to purple. She's also a Nightmare Alicorn with traits like bat-like wings, draconic eyes, and a curved horn, though this is because her father, Luminiferous, was born a clone of a Fallen Alicorn who had entered his Nightmare state.

    Peinture, the Portrait of Potential

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Potential, Painting, Beauty

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Peinture (his entry here) is the Mephalicorn god of Potential, Painting, and Beauty, and is one of Luminiferous' benevolent sons.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: While born a demigod, he would discover his domains of Potential, Painting, and Beauty while stopping a street gang by showing them painted portraits of their best potential selves if they chose to change their ways and become good people. He would Ascend to true godhood later on.
  • The Ace: Like his mother, he's an extremely talented painter, which informed his Cutie Mark. Later, he discovered he was quite good in using art to show people their inner beauty and potential, which influenced the development of his portfolio at a time when he started exploring his demi-divine nature.
  • Alliterative Name: And title; his name is Peinture, the Portrait of Potential.
  • All Your Powers Combined: As a Mephalicorn hybrid, he not only has the combined powers of all mortal Pony tribes through his father, but also has the racial powers of all Great Skunks through his mother.
  • Always Identical Twins: Subverted. He and his twin sister, Ciseau, are fraternal twins, but they do have enough physical similarities that can cause people to mistake one for the other.
  • Art Attacker: As a god of Painting, he is exceptionally talented in it, to the point where it factored into him becoming a "prodigy deity". He can bring paintings to life to fight or help him out, generate magical paint while using his tail as a brush, and create weapons and Pocket Dimensions inside paintings — whether to trap enemies within them or transform others by painting them to look different.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's a Mephalicorn god who embodies Potential, Painting, and Beauty.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: His Cutie Mark depicts a painting of a blooming tree, which represents both his love for painting and his desire to help people reach their true potential by showing them their inner beauty.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: He's a god of Beauty and thus is incredibly handsome, but like his father, he is a compassionate person who seeks to bring out people's true potential. While he's aware that he could use his Beauty domain and natural attractiveness to compel people into doing what he wants, he strongly dislikes misusing his powers that way and focuses only on bringing out people's inner beauty.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's a calm, humble, and kind god who loves painting. And like his father, Luminiferous, he sees the best in everyone and tries to nurture people's potential for greatness and/or goodness, as shown with an entire street gang he stopped by himself and a good-hearted Reichsfuhrer clone he encouraged to betray his creators. However, like Luminiferous, he can be terrifying when genuinely enraged, especially towards those who crush people's dreams out of malice and/or selfishness, or use art as a way to demean their targets (he does make an exception for using art to portray villains as they really are). Unlike his Hot-Blooded twin sister, Ciseau, his anger manifests via Tranquil Fury, and he has trapped wicked people in paintings to punish them for their crimes.
  • Commonality Connection: He and Changeling Queen Cicada Avalon became friends over being similarly patient and taking time to do things, even though what they specialize in are completely different. Naturally, it led to them falling in love and dating each other.
  • Divine Parentage: His mother, Bouquet, was a mortal Great Skunk. His biological father is Luminiferous, one of the Codexverse's Big Goods, thus making him related to Morning Star, Clara Equus, and King Equus, who are his grandfather, great-grandmother, and great-great-"grandfather", respectively.
  • God Is Good: Like his father, Luminiferous, he is a humble and compassionate god who can see people's inner beauty and encourages them to nurture their potential for goodness, often by showing them portraits of what they could become if they chose to be good. This is prominently shown with a street gang he once stopped (which led to him discovering his domain while still a demigod), as well as a good-hearted clone of the Reichsfuhrer whom he helped betray his Autorist creators (and later adopted as his son). However, it is not a good idea to get on his bad side.
  • God of Good: He is a god of Potential, Painting, and Beauty, and being a son of Luminiferous, his portfolio thematically revolves around bringing out people's potential by "painting" their inner beauty. This is prominently shown when he took down a street gang by himself by showing them portraits of what they could be if they acknowledged their inner beauty and fulfilled their potential for goodness.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: A "Multicolored wings" example. He has a magical wing gradient going from golden-yellow to red, which is one of many eldritch traits Alicorns develop as they grow "older" by divine standards.
  • Happily Adopted: At one point, he met a clone of the Second Age's Reichsfuhrer who was being indoctrinated by his Autorist creators to become a racist, genocidal dictator like his predecessor. After helping the clone realize his dream of becoming an artist, he would help defeat the Autorists who created him and adopt the clone as his son.
  • Hot God: He is a strikingly handsome god, and his domain of Beauty enhances this to supernatural degrees. Whiel he is aware of what he could do with his beauty, he refuses to misuse it in any way, preferring to bring out people's inner beauty instead.
  • Humble Hero: While he does take pride in his artwork, he is incredibly humble otherwise; he knows he's handsome and that he could use his looks to make people do what he wants, but doesn't like flaunting it. It's deconstructed as one of his flaws is that he can become too humble like Blue Suede Heartstrings did.
  • Hybrid Power: As a Mephalicorn god, he possesses both the combined magics of all Pony tribes, and the combined traits of all Great Skunk tribes, as well as the Great Skunks' scent-spraying and potion-making abilities.
  • Identical Stranger: He happens to bear a strong resemblance to Prince Dissonant Tune, who has the exact same yellow fur and red-black mane and tail as him. Not helping matters is their respective fathers (Moon Ray Vaughoof and Luminiferous) being (great-)grandsons of two Thirteen Empyreans (Obitus Equus and Clara Equus) by adoption, making them distant cousins. Dissonant Tune himself was rather disturbed by this.
Prince Dissonant Tune: Well... this is awkward.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted; while deities are immortal, they get 'older' by growing Stronger with Age in the Codexverse. Both he and his twin sister, Ciseau, are "Tier III"-ranked deities, which makes them more powerful than younger deities but are themselves still incredibly young by divine standards compared to their older siblings, like Queen Lucerna.
  • Interspecies Friendship: His beliefs in taking one's time in creating art instead of rushing it led to him striking up a friendship with Changeling Queen Cicada Avalon, who is similarly one of the most patient and intelligent Changeling Queens despite her partying and sleeping habits. They even started dating each other.
  • Interspecies Romance: After befriending Changeling Queen Cicada over being extremely patient and taking time to do things, he would eventually fall in love with her and start dating her.
  • In the Blood: While he and his twin sister inherited their desire to help people reach their fullest potential from their divine father, Luminiferous, they inherited their love for art from their mortal mother, Bouquet, even if they pursued art in different ways. Of the two, he took more after Bouquet by becoming a painter. Unfortunately, he also inherited his mother's confidence issues.
  • Magic Hair: He has a black and red mane made of perpetually looping magical paint.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Portrait of Potential", due to being a god of Painting who encourages people to become better than what they presently are by showing them portraits of their best potential selves.
  • Meaningful Name: Peinture translates to "painting" in French, and he's a Mephalicorn god who embodies Painting and shares his mother's love and skill for painting. It's also a Punny Name in that it sounds similar to "painter".
  • Mentor Archetype: Due to his domains and skill in painting, he would be recruited to mentor demigoddesses Princess Mese and Princess Baby Applejack/Applejack VI in developing their own artistic domains and talents, so they could both Ascend to true godhood.
  • Parental Substitute: He would become the loving adopted father of a good-hearted Reichsfuhrer clone he rescued from Autorists, encouraging the latter's love for art and helping him betray the Autorists who cloned him to support their genocidal aims.
  • The Perfectionist: One of his flaws is that, like many artists, he can be a perfectionist at times, which makes him unsatisfied with his work and drives him to paint more in order to create the "perfect" painting.
  • Personality Powers: His domains of Potential, Painting, and Beauty all revolve around his desires to bring out people's inner beauty and help them achieve greatness. This is emphasized when he combines his powers from all three domains to paint portraits of what they could potentially become if they made the right choices.
  • Phantom-Zone Picture: As a god of Painting, he can create Pocket Dimensions to trap enemies in them, and has done so to various wicked people to punish them for their crimes. Being extremely patient and methodical, this makes him extremely dangerous.
  • Pocket Dimension: As a god of Painting, he can create pocket dimensions within his paintings, which he uses to either trap enemies in them or physically transform others by painting them to look different.
  • Punny Name: His name sounds similar to "painter", which is appropriate given his artistic skills and domains.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Averted. While he and Ciseau have red and black manes, they're both completely and genuinely benevolent deities who desire to help bring out people's potential, whether by helping them develop a healthy self-image or helping them acknowledge their inner beauty.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: Defied. He knows that he is extremely handsome as well as a god of Beauty, with all the perks that come with it, but he refuses to abuse his powers in that way as it goes against his desire to bring out people's inner beauty.
  • Semi-Divine: Both he and his twin sister, Ciseau, were born demi-deities due to Luminiferous, an ancient god, sleeping with their mother, a mortal Great Skunk named Bouquet. They eventually Ascended to true godhood.
  • Tranquil Fury: Unlike the more Hot-Blooded Ciseau, his anger manifests by making him extremely patient and methodical. Given that he's an ancient god of Painting who can trap people in paintings, this makes him more terrifying than his twin sister in some ways.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Perks: Defied. While he's aware that he's incredibly handsome and can use his Beauty domain to compel/seduce people into doing what he wants, he refuses to abuse his powers that way, only focusing on bringing out people's inner beauty.

    Ciseau, the Sculptor of Potential

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Potential, Sculpting, Self-Image

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Ciseau (her entry here) is the Mephalicorn goddess of Potential, Sculpting, and Self-Image, and is the younger twin sister of Peinture.
  • All Your Powers Combined: As a Mephalicorn hybrid, she not only has the combined powers of all mortal Pony tribes through her father, but also has the racial powers of all Great Skunks through her mother.
  • Always Identical Twins: Subverted. She and her older twin brother, Peinture, are fraternal twins, but while not being completely Half-Identical Twins, they do have enough physical similarities that can cause people to mistake one for the other.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Mephalicorn goddess who embodies Potential, Sculpting, and Self-Image.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her Cutie Mark is a sculptor's chisel, and she's a Mephalicorn goddess of Sculpting who delved into the craft at a very young age. It also refers to her desire to "sculpt" people by helping develop healthier self-images of themselves so they could fulfill their true potential.
  • Divine Parentage: Her mother, Bouquet, was a mortal Great Skunk. Her biological father is Luminiferous, one of the Codexverse's Big Goods, thus making her related to Morning Star, Clara Equus, and King Equus, who are her grandfather, great-grandmother, and great-great-"grandfather", respectively.
  • The Empath: As a goddess of Self-Image, she can tell when a person's self-esteem is unhealthy and needs improving.
  • Genki Girl: She's a friendly, energetic girl and loves helping people.
  • Hybrid Power: As a Mephalicorn god, she possesses both the combined magics of all Pony tribes, and the combined traits of all Great Skunk tribes, as well as the Great Skunks' scent-spraying and potion-making abilities.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted; while deities are immortal, they get 'older' by growing Stronger with Age in the Codexverse. Both she and her twin brother, Peinture, are "Tier III"-ranked deities, which makes them more powerful than younger deities but are themselves still incredibly young by divine standards compared to their older siblings, like Queen Lucerna.
  • Magic Hair: She has a black and red mane composed of chiseled stone.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Sculptor of Potential".
  • No-Sell: As a goddess of Sculpting, she's completely immune to petrification, something she discovered when she ran into a Cockatrice in her foalhood. It's believed In-Universe she could also shrug off Obsidian Orbs.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Averted. While she and Peinture have red and black manes, they're both completely and genuinely benevolent deities who desire to help bring out people's potential, whether by helping them develop a healthy self-image or helping them acknowledge their inner beauty.
  • Semi-Divine: Both she and her twin brother, Peinture, were born demi-deities due to Luminiferous, an ancient god, sleeping with their mother, a mortal Great Skunk named Bouquet. They eventually Ascended to true godhood.
  • Spontaneous Weapon Creation: Justified; as a goddess of Sculpting, she can create anything that comes to her mind, including weapons.
  • Swiss-Army Superpower: Thanks to her sculpting skills, she knows how to use her domain of Sculpting in very creative ways. This includes bringing sculptures to life to fight with her, create weapons, turn others to stone, and 'sculpting' creatures and things to transform them.
  • Taken for Granite: As a goddess of Sculpting, she can turn people into stone. This also means she herself is immune to petrification, whether through a Cockatrice's stare or the Stone Empire's infamous Obsidian Orbs Tempest Shadow used to incapacitate the Equestrian Alicorn Princesses.
  • Trigger-Happy: She's considered a bit more trigger happy than her twin when it comes to spraying people with her stink.
