The Flag of Golema Imperija

"Glory lies beyond the horizon."
— National Motto of Golema Imperija, based on one of Magna, the King Conqueror's many quotes.

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Elite Army: Golema Imperija has an elite force among its military with the Asímiaspídes - better known as the Silvershields. In the past and present Magna would form these units from his armies' most battle-hardened, skilled and capable veterans, given honoured roles as elite vanguards in battle, used as shock troops to strike at the enemy's weak-points and reinforcements to hold off overwhelming assaults against their own forces' and empires' most vulnerable positions, proving to be stalwart, determined and powerful whether in defense and offence. Many of the more advanced empires Magna created would use advanced sorcery and sciences, thaumaturgy and technology to enhance the Silvershields further by making them super-soldiers, making them even more long-lived and deadly on the battlefield, as the current versions are.
  • The Federation: Golema Imperija is a superstate composed of many different nations and races, with the capital kingdom being Bright Destiny, owing to Magna's policy of letting his subjects largely rule themselves with him offering leadership, arbitration and supervision when needed.
  • Meaningful Name: Golema Imperija means 'The Great Empire' in Croatian.
  • Rising Empire: Formed during the 'Terra Equus Continental War' from conquering weakened and defeated Autorists/Tribalists nations on the continent, Golema Imperija is rapidly ascending to the status of a Great Power and is one of the few regimes poised to be able to Take Over the World.
  • Take Over the World: Intends to do this as Magna has done in the past with his previous empires, but unlike most examples has nobler intentions behind it.

    Magna, the King of Conquerors

Classification: Ethereal/Elemental/Ascendant

Portfolio: Conquest, Leadership, Thunder, Numerous Others

Rank: Antecedent

"To win, but not destroy; to conquer, but not humiliate: That is what true conquest is!"

King Magna (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Conquest, Leadership, and Thunder (among hundreds of other domains), and is an ancient, heroic conqueror from pre-Known History who, following his first death, was brought back via divine possession of a worthy mortal host.

Long ago, in the time of the Alicorn Civilization, Magna was born to Olympia, the Alicorn consort of an Alicorn king who ruled a powerful dominion. Foreseeing through a vision her son would one day become a mighty ruler of empires, Olympia dedicated herself to making sure this vision come true. Magna was raised and groomed to become a warrior and king with ambitions to rival his mother's own, and he became a mighty general and conqueror who won many victories for King Equus, his father's dominion and the Alicorn Civilization as a whole. While better than his mother morally, he was a still a darker figure than the conqueror he would become thanks to her influence, but saw the error of his ways upon witnessing the downfall of the Alicorn Civilization.

Determined to live true to his ideals, Magna would build new empires as a benevolent, pragmatic and reasonable ruler who looks after his subjects and inspires loyalty upon friend and even foe alike, creating the archetype of the idealized conqueror which would last well into the present day, and sticking to his principles even until his first death. His slumbering essence would wait sealed inside his own sword until the Fourth Age, when a Pony who heard his legend offered his body to be the vessel with which he would reincarnate, and with his return the King of Conqueror can now once more to build a new empire for a new age that would stand the test of time.
  • The Alcoholic: Magna is fond of alcohol and drinks considerably, sometimes to the point of actually getting drunk (which speaks of his alcohol consumption as gods are usually immune to toxic effects of drugs and alcohol), which he admits to be a problem.
  • Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Admits to be a bad drunk when actually drinking to the point of drunkenness, leading to this trope.
  • Ambition Is Evil: Inverted - Magna is very ambitious and desires to rule the world, but is actually a good guy who desires to be The Good King.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who (among other things) embodies Conquest, Leadership, and Thunder.
  • The Assimilator: Like Virtuecrat Fairytale and Vicearch Iniquitous, Magna have had mortals and gods becoming one with his being, whether mostly by consent (for the heroic and good) or sometimes by consumption (for the villainous and evil). He values the former group in particular as part of His 'treasures within treasures' and could summon them together with those of his soldiers, champions and allies who had passed on through his most feared 'Army of the King' ability.
  • Back from the Dead: Magna had perished with his last empire at the hooves of the Golden Imperium, but had recently made his return in the same fashion as Sekra the Indomitable: Through Symbiotic Possession of a worthy mortal vessel. It left him weak for the time being, but Magna is working to bring Himself back to his full glory and build a new empire which would rise greater than ever before.
  • Backup from Otherworld: The other half of his famous Army of the King ability comes from those of his subjects, warriors and allies mortal or divine who had long since gone to the hereafter, returning out of pure Undying Loyalty to give him support.
  • Badass Boast: Owing to his personality, He makes many of them.
  • Be All My Sins Remembered: Magna does not sugarcoat or hide the fact that during the time of the Alicorn Civilization his ambition and conquests made him rather ruthless, hypocritical and immoral himself (though still way better than his even more ruthless mother Olympia), and did in fact committed his own fair share of terrible deeds such as killing off several rival heirs. He came to realize how far he was falling from his own ideals as the rest of the Alicorn Civilization was following the 'Twilight of the Alicorns' and vowed to never repeat them and become the idealized conqueror and king he is today.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Magna's resurrection and campaign against the Autorist kingdom his host Destiny Wave came from become a Spanner in the Works for the Autorists' plans to strike at Equestria, his intervention preventing them from launching a surprise naval/aerial invasion of the Equestrian Subcontinent.
  • Big, Screwed-Up Family: Implied to come from one. His mother Olympia loved him, but is also an ambitious Evil Matriarch who ruthlessly manipulated and schemed to remove any threat to Magna's rise as an Alicorn warrior, conqueror and king who would rule great empires and inherit his father's domain, while at least some of his Alicorn siblings are implied to be abusive flankholes at best or at worst became outright evil by joining Morning Star's side during the 'Twilight of the Alicorns' (or both). He was also quite ruthless for a time as his mother was and did in a few rival heirs himself. All this may have helped make him realize just how far he and the Alicorns had fallen from their own ideals and encouraged him becoming The Good King he would become known as on top of being The Conqueror.
  • Benevolent Boss: Magna as a matter of principle inspires and treats his subjects and soldiers well, seeing loyalty and devotion from subject to ruler as a two-way street, and striving to be The Good King Magna always do the best he could for them just as they do the best they could for him and his empire. He sees or strives to be a good friend to quite literally ALL his subjects and allies. This earns him many of his subjects and soldiers' Undying Loyalty, to the point many of them would willingly merge with his being or come back from the afterlife to give him support, becoming the basis of his much feared Army of the King ability.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Magna loves a worthy challenge and is enthusiastic in everything he does, be it empire-building through friendship or conquering foes with force.
  • Bring It: In a more long-term fashion, this is essentially his response to Vicearch Iniquitous asking if he fears the idea His ambitions will bring them into conflict in the future, which could lead to His defeat at Her hooves (which given who She is, it is a VERY unpleasant prospect). His admits while he's too weak at present to do so, he doesn't fear it and in fact enjoys the challenge of one day growing strong enough to challenge her head on. Vicearch Iniquitous was impressed.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Inverted. Magna and his last empire prior to his resurrection was taken out by the Golden Imperium, but they put up quite a fight before they fell and Magna went out with no regrets, inflicting considerable damage to the Golden Imperium in the process.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Magna is furious when he found out while soul-searching following the 'Twilight of the Alicorns' event that his Alicorn mother Olympia did terrible things - such as burning a rival wife/concubine and her son/rival heir to death - to ensure he would inherit his late ruling Alicorn father's throne and dominion, on top of her ambitions for enacting a strong autocratic divine rule to impose order and stability over a chaotic and unruly world, believing it runs contrary to sapientkind's freedom-seeking nature.
  • Cannibalism Superpower: While many of those who had merged with Him in the past did so willingly, offering their knowledge, power and/or domains out of genuine devotion and/or friendship like Virtuecrat Fairytale, some of his knowledge, power and/or domains did come from evil and villainous gods or beings He had conquered and consumed like Vicearch Iniquitous had, although it happens less often than the consensual assimilations.
  • Cool Sword: Possesses a personal sword, into which Magna had sealed away His essence following his first death and slumbered through the ages until Destiny Wave, a Unicorn mage who willingly sacrifices his own physical existence by becoming a vessel for Magna to possess, takes up and pulls the sword free from its resting place.
  • The Conqueror: A god of Conquest among other domains and is stated to had been the Codexverse codifier of the 'charismatic, reasonable and/or pragmatic conqueror' ideal that Sekra and other successful empire-builders have followed.
  • The Cycle of Empires: Being a King of Conquerors who have inspired the idealized version of The Conqueror archetype in the Codexverse, Magna had experienced the cycle many times with all of his empires. He takes the seeming inevitability of the cycle rather well, however, as every time one inevitably falls he immediately starts working on building a new one.
  • Defiant to the End: His last empire (out of many) was taken out by the Golden Imperium during its rise, but Magna put up quite a fight and went out with no regrets.
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: Downplayed. While still a product of his time, he was noted to be this trope compare to many conquerors before or even since, being a good and progressive character, and is open and willing to change his old methods for newer and better ways even if He would hold onto His core ideals. For example, he is perplexed by the idea of democracy, being an old-fashioned (benevolent) autocrat, but is willing to give it and those who have faith in it (such as Princess Amicitia) the benefit of doubt so long as they stick to their own principles. He admitted he was also more ruthless, hypocritical and amoral in his conduct back in the time of the Alicorn Civilization and was well on his way to becoming a tyrant before the 'Twilight of the Alicorns' conflict snapped him out of it, all of which he deeply regrets and vowed to never repeat.
  • Dented Iron: Along with Worf Had the Flu. He's VERY old and not as powerful as he used to be, having only recently been brought back to life and had merged with a mortal who is less compatible with him as Daring Do was with Sekra. He is fine with it, since he likes the challenge of getting back on top as He had before and noted if he had His full might as an ancient Alicorn conqueror predating Known History, it would had been a more boring experience.
  • The Determinator: Magna is completely undaunted by the challenges He faces in Taking Over The World and the risks of living up to his own ideals and standards even if it means his demise. While he can adapt and change his ways when needed to achieve his aims, He will live, conquer and reign to the fullest as a king should and never abandon his own ideals in the name of pure pragmatism, being true to and happy with Himself regardless of when and where He ends.
  • Destructo-Nookie: Implied to have one with Overmatriarch after both fell in love with each other and started dating. One is an ancient heroic Alicorn god with all the traits of the Pony Tribes (including Earthpony strength and durability) enhanced to a divine degree, while the other is a Metamagnetically-incarnated benevolent personification of the Overdom and Overmare with intellect rivalling her mother/creator and superpowers rivalling her mother/creator's Arch-Enemy Metamare. This resulted in the remote beach they went to for a private picnic and a friendly spar reduced to an area of craters and rubble, with local geologists noting 'unusual tremors' that don't correspond to a fight between super-strong beings occurring... for over an hour.
  • Disappointed in You:
    • On the receiving end from his mother Olympia. While it's implied she's proud of him fulfilling His full potential as a divine warrior, conqueror and king who would rule great empires like she foreseen, she remains disappointed and frustrated at his refusal to assume the role of a divine autocrat imposing a strong rule which she believes is necessary to prevent a chaotic world full of unruly mortals and even inadequate gods from self-destruction and bring about true order, stability and prosperity. Magna continues to disagree with her, leading to her deciding to put her hoof down and doing it herself when she returned in the Fourth Age.
    • He is greatly disappointed with how the People's Empire of the Cloven and how the leaders - most notably People's Empress Zora Kalakov - is doing from what he heard and also what he saw with his own eyes, believing that despite claiming otherwise they are failing to uphold the values and principles they espouse and truly live up to be the 'People's Empire' they claim to be for their people, between their failures as well as questionable actions, and also finds their use of propaganda to cover any weakness and setbacks with exaggerations and lies to be unbecoming of true leadership. He laid it all out to Zora in his meeting with their empire's leaders and implores them to do better, leaving them stunned to utter silence as he depart.
  • Divine Date: After both returned in the Fourth Age and allied their restored empires with each other owing to similar moralities, goals and characters, Magna, the King of Conquerors and Overmatriarch, the Enlightened Hegemon would both fall in love and eventually declare their affection to each other and the world in the most appropriately spectacular, ego-befitting manners possible. A lot of people note in hindsight this was somewhat inevitable. Downplayed in that Overmatriach is far from mortal, being the benevolent metamagnetically-incarnated personification of the 'Second Age' Overdom and her mother Overmare who has her mother's intellect and her mother's Arch-Enemy Metamare's superpowers.
Princess Patch: Well... I guess we know now what happens when a heroic world-conqueror meets a benevolent hegemonic mastermind.
Lady Liberty: ... A match made in Elysium.
  • Eaten Alive: Magna had noted to Vicearch Iniquitous that he is not particularly afraid of potentially meeting His end being defeated and devoured by Her if they meet in battle one day as He had been on the receiving end of this trope before, claiming that it 'wouldn't be the first time' he ended up in a god's stomach or swallowed by a larger/greater being, and mused that despite his circumstances He would carry on being who he is, and even boasts that he would set himself to conquering the worlds inside her or others' innards and all the beings they had consumed, as he had implied to have done before.
  • The Empire: Magna founded many empires throughout the ages pre-Known History, some of which succeeding in Taking Over The World and even spreading beyond it. While all of them would fall one way or another, Magna's enthusiasm meant he's fine with it and wastes no time conquering and raising a new one. His style of leadership meant all of them were in one form or another a Hegemonic Empire or The Good Kingdom in practice, which annoys his cynical and autocratic mother Olympia to no end.
    • His present empire, Golema Imperija, was formed after his resurrection in the Fourth Age, beginning by raising an army through sheer charisma and conquering the kingdom Magna's present host Destiny Wave's came from, freeing it from its Autorist monarchy and renaming it Bright Destiny in honour of his host. Afterwards, Golema would rapidly ascended in power during the 'Terra Equus Continental War' by absorbing losing or already-defeated Autorist/Tribalist regimes and kingdoms while they are weakened. While other world powers feared they're dealing with another Sekra and Crypta, Magna would quickly reassure everyone that they DO want to Take Over the World like Sekra and Crypta, they have no intention of forcefully conquering nations who share similar goals and natures to His empire, believing that they could convince the rest to join it on their own free will eventually.
  • Expy: While generally his own character, Magna, the King of Conquerors is much inspired by Iskander, the King of Conquest, a fictionalized/idealized version of Alexander the Great from Fate/Zero.
  • Famed In-Story: While each era have many conquerors, this is the one conqueror who inspired many of the greatest and most successful throughout Known History with His achievements and deeds, and was essentially an in-universe incarnation of The Conqueror character type in its most idealized form. With His return in the Fourth Age, he is now considered a Living Legend.
  • Friendly Enemy: Magna and Sekra developed this status following their resurrections and meeting in the Fourth Age, with Sekra looking up to Magna as an inspiration and idol regarding her own rise and reign during the Third Age. While the two divine conquerors and their empires would clash multiple times - notably during the 'Golema-Crypta Wars' - they would remain cordial and respectful to each other outside of their battles
  • Fusion Dance: Some of Magna's greatest friends - subjects, warriors, champions and allies both mortal and divine - had chosen to merge with him to give him their knowledge, power and domains, which He could briefly summon to aid him with his most powerful/feared 'Army of the King' ability.
  • The Good King: Despite Magna's own desires for world hegemony, he was by all accounts a good ruler who values his subjects and prove himself as a worthy king whom his people could follow, believing a true conqueror should also conquer the enemy's hearts as well as their bodies and land. This had earned him his mortal subjects, warriors and champions' Undying Loyalty and his divine friends and allies' respect and admiration, to the point that some willingly merged with him to add their knowledge, power, domains and existence to his own, or temporarily return from whatever afterlife they went when called to give him aid. He considers them all his friends and 'Treasures within Treasures' - his very right to rule - and the reason he would continue to keep living, conquering and ruling.
  • God-Eating:
    • Magna had apparently been eaten by other gods before, and noted to Vicearch Iniquitous that it 'wouldn't be the first time he ended up in some god's stomach' should She manages to devour and assimilate him into Her dark glory like so many other gods that had crossed Her. He outright boasts that even if he ends up being trapped inside Her, he would make it his goal to conquer all the tens of millions of mortals, demons and gods whom She had consumed and forge a new empire in the world which exists inside Her, which he had implied to have done in the previous instances he got eaten by gods and other greater beings.
    • It's implied that Magna had a deal going on where like Virtuecrat Fairytale and Vicearch Iniquitous he had assimilated other gods into Himself to add onto his power, whether they are good gods who willingly merged with him like Fairytale and Her Virtuous Ones had or defeated evil gods whom He devoured like Iniquitous and Her Princelings of Vice did. Given God-Eating is something which does happen/done in the Codexverse, if happening less often than just sealing gods away, and more did so willingly with Him than not, this is consider not as horrifying as other examples.
    • He likely got it from his own mother Olympia, who does quite a bit of this herself to enemies, rivals and even her own family when it suits her plans and purposes.
  • Graceful Loser: Magna takes his defeats in stride and doesn't hold grudges easily against those who defeat him. To note, not only did he die content in his first life, he stopped by to have a few drinks with Golden Scepter, the one who killed him, after his resurrection. He has zero fear of losing and being eaten by Iniquitous, rather he states he will have no regrets and would try to conquer the worlds inside Her.
  • Ham-to-Ham Combat: Engaged in one with Sekra the Indomitable, High Queen of Crypta after they both discover each have a comparably long list of titles and achievements (Or 'List of Glories' in Cryptan terms), resulting in them spending a month boasting and comparing their accomplishments and greatness. They do very much enjoyed it, though.
  • Hegemonic Empire: While more than capable of kicking flanks and taking names by Himself and/or with an army, Magna actually prefers winning through friendship and diplomacy. He also lets those under his control generally rule themselves and have some sense of freedom. He views ruling in this way as not only moral, but necessary, as the more you restrict someone's freedom, but more they're going to fight back against it, whereas allowing them freedom and making them want to work with you prevents that.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How Magna died his first death, impaled on the sword of Emperor Golden Scepter in his Last Stand after a long battle which reshaped the region around them.
  • Large Ham: Magna has a larger-than-life character complementing his amiable and noble personality - with predictable results when encountering other Large Ham characters like Sekra the Indomitable.
  • Last Stand: Magna and his last empire made one prior to his first death made one as they were being taken out by Emperor Golden Scepter's then-rising Golden Imperium during the centuries-long 'Unification Wars' which reunited Equus under the Radiant Emperor's rule and began the 'Imperium Era'. By all accounts, Magna's empire was the last remaining and greatest opposition to the Golden Imperium during this time, and put up one hell of a fight before the Final Battle between Magna and Golden Scepter along with their forces at Mount Eqarat, where Magna was finally slain and Equus was reunited.
  • Magnetic Hero: While more than capable and willing to use force in conquest and battle when needed, Magna prefers winning through friendship and diplomacy, and has enough charisma in his character to win many people over. During the 'Terra Equus Continental War', Magna beat an Autorist king without a war or even much of a fight by galvanizing the people of the Autorist kingdom into realizing the evil and suffering caused by the Autorist regime and encourage them to rise up against it, resulting in a massive angry crowd besieging the Autorist sovereign at his palace together with Magna's own army. Magna would ask for the king's surrender, noting that the Autorist leader had already lost.
  • Naked on Revival: Magna felt somewhat uncomfortable upon resurrecting without his armour and clothes, but eventually receives a new panoply from his also-resurrected second-in-command and confidant Divine Fire.
  • Nice Guy: Magna is from all available facts thus far a noble and amiable character with a larger-than-life personality. To note, he doesn't even hold a grudge against Emperor Golden Scepter despite his Golden Imperium being responsible for the downfall of Magna's last empire and the Radiant Emperor himself being responsible for his death. He prefers using diplomacy and friendship to conquer first and foremost and resort to force and violence when there is no recourse, and even then only in the face of evil empires and wicked factions. He respects his subjects and asks only they acknowledge Him as both their sovereign and their friend (Yes, a friend to every single of one his subjects), leading them by example as The Good King.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: He notes that he and Twilight both have similar ideals when it comes ruling Friendship through instead of weaponry and both rely on their group of friends to help them in a crisis.
  • Oh, Crap!: A lot of not-so-virtuous people, factions, nations and pantheons became terrified when it is revealed Magna and Overmatriarch had fallen in love, since both of them want to Take Over the World for a good cause and could potentially do it by themselves with their brilliance and power were it not for various intervening factors, and their relationship make it far more likely for them to do it together despite all the odds and opposition stacked against them.
  • Our Founder: Of many, many, many empires during the Alicorn Civilization's hayday and between the 'Twilight of the Alicorns' and the 'Imperium Era' before 'Known History'. Also became the founder of his present-day empire post-resurrection, Golema Imperija.
  • The Paragon: Magna believes a ruler should always be a paragon, inspiring their subjects and being larger than life, as well as being a living testament to their own ideals and virtues.
  • The Power of Friendship: Magna is a firm believer that friendship is the greatest magic their is, and as a result instantly took a liking to Twilight Sparkle upon learning her ideals. It's also how he's maintain his grand and lasting empires. It's also weaponized extensively by the King of Conquerors.
  • The Rival: Magna and his empires had been rival to other conquerors and empires throughout his lives, be it in the present day post-resurrection or in the distant past before his first death.
    • Magna's last empire was one of the 'Techno-Barbarian' nation-states which reigned over the devastated world of Equus during the 'Aeon of Strife', and was by all accounts not only the last but also the greatest opponent of the then-rising Golden Imperium during the centuries-long 'Reunification Wars' which would reunite all of Equus under Emperor Golden Scepter's rule.
    • Magna's present empire would become a rival to many other empires led by conquerors and rulers: Magna would develop a Friendly Enemy status with High Queen Sekra, the Indomitable Heart of Crypta, who looked up to him as an inspiration for her empire building, getting along cordially outside the 'Golema-Crypta Wars' between his Golema Imperija and her New Crypta/Second Crypta Empire. Vicearch Iniquitous of Malregnar is impressed by his character and integrity, and looks forward to the day he becomes strong enough to issue an official challenge for a showdown between Golema and Malregnar, as well as between him and Her.
  • Rousseau Was Right: Magna's main conflict with his mother Olympia other than her ruthless manipulative scheming nature: Olympia believes the world is a chaotic mess and Sapientkind in general being at best unruly rabble and at worst foolish maniacs who could not govern themselves and would bring the world to ruin left to their own devices - with only a strong divine autocratic rule imposing order, stability and control being necessary to guide them and the world to true prosperity and reaching their full potential. Magna disagrees, believing Sapientkind's inherent nature is to seek freedom and that a ruler should allow them to do what they desire (within reason and rules) and reach greatness on their own, seeing Olympia's stifling control as being doomed to failure.
  • Sealed Army in a Can: Magna's most feared power is his legendary 'Army of the King' ability, which allows him to call up those of his subjects, warriors, champions and allies - all of whom he saw as his friends - who had willingly merged with him and went to the afterlife to return briefly to aid him in battle. While energy-intensive and in his present state he could only summon some or all of them for around a minute, the sheer number of his 'Peerless Army' - estimated to number from the high millions to the low billions - make this an incredibly formidable force which could decisively win battles when fully utilized. Until then, they are left sealed either as a part of his being or in the great beyond they went post-mortem.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Magna's status following his first death: sealed away inside his own personal sword and hidden away from the world, where he slumbered until the Fourth Age when the Unicorn mage Destiny Wave, seeking to protect and prove himself as not weak and save his kingdom from the Autorist monarchy ruling it, found, pulled out the sword and willingly offer himself to be the host-vessel for Magna to possess and reincarnate back to the world, which Magna gratefully accepted.
  • Sharing a Body: Magna's current status with his host Destiny Wave, who offered his body for the King of Conquerors to transfigure and reincarnate back into the living world. It proved less-than-adequate, leaving Magna only a fraction of his former might, but he's fine with it and even relishes in the challenge it presents.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Apparently, Magna often saw off many attempts by his mother Queen Olympia to manipulate him after he turned on her simply by going straight to fighting and not giving her a chance to even talk to him.
  • Symbiotic Possession: Inspired by Sekra the Indomitable, High Queen of Crypta's return via possessing Daring Do, a Unicorn named Destiny Wave, desiring to oppose and free his homeland from the Autorist regime which had taken over and dragged it into the 'Terra-Equus Continental War' in the Fourth Age, sought out Magna's sword and willingly let himself become vessel to Magna's sleeping essence entombed inside it. Grateful for Destiny Wave's offer and impressed by his courage and character, Magna accepted the bargain Destiny Wave made with him, allowing Magna to resurrect himself after ages of slumber.
  • Take Over the World: Wants to do this, but in a twist from the usual character type he is actually a good guy. He actually did succeed multiple times throughout pre-Known History out of many more attempts and even spread them further beyond. His empires would fall eventually, but he doesn't let that bother him and would enthusiastically start over.
  • Time Abyss: Magna is VERY old and predated Known History, being the guy who codified the idealized concept of the pragmatic, reasonable and capable conqueror which many highly successful and well-intended conquerors such as Sekra would be inspired to follow. To note, Magna was on the same level as Golden Scepter himself prior to his first death.
  • Try to Fit That on a Business Card: He apparently has a list of titles and achievements to rival Sekra the Indomitable's own. When this was noticed they ended up spending a month in Ham-to-Ham Combat as they each boast about their own respective accomplishments to show that they have the longer list.
  • Übermensch: Lives up to a code of honour and standards of his own to which he refuses to bend or back down from, even if he knows it means his doom.
  • Undying Loyalty: Magna invoked this on many through his charismatic character and his domains, and is just as loyal to his subjects, warriors and allies as they are loyal to him. To note, his two greatest friends: His second-in-command and closest confidant Divine Fire and his chariot-pulling chariot-steed Thunder Stampede, both divines in their own right sealed themselves away to await his return, however long it took, and when they found out that his resurrection had left him a shadow of his former power, they willingly sealed away their now much greater power until they are no more powerful than Magna presently is out of respect for him.
  • Villain Respect: Magna's legendary status and ways as The Conqueror and The Good King impressed Sekra the Indomitable, who looked up to him as an inspiration and example back in the Third Age. After their respective resurrections, they quickly became a Friendly Enemy to each other and remain cordial even though their ambitions and egos continue to pit their empires against each other in the 'Golema-Crypta Wars' as they each strive towards global domination.
  • Winged Unicorn: He's an Alicorn who was born during pre-Known History, so he is roughly as old as Emperor Golden Scepter.
  • Wowing Cthulhu: Magna's fearlessness, audacity and integrity as the King of Conquerors impressed Vicearch Iniquitous enough that She respects him on the same level as she does Blue Suede Heartstrings, and genuinely looks forward to the day he and his empire become strong enough to take on Her and Her empire in a formal challenge. This is especially so since Vicearch Iniquitous hates hypocrisy and views Virtue Is Weakness, but senses that Magna is sincere in his principles and is by no means weak.
  • You Are Already Dead: Does a variation to an Autorist king who declared war on him, informing him he'd already lost the war. Turns out Magna already galvanized everyone who opposed the regime who promptly surrounded the king's castle. Magna was directly referencing the manega that's the Trope Namer, both inuniverse and out.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: He greatly appreciates his new body's original host Destiny Wave and often encouraged him in his moments of doubts and self-depreciation, not blaming him for being an inadequate host body physically/magically and made sure he gets the credit he deserves and more besides (such as renaming Destiny Wave's old country after him following his conquests).

    Destiny Wave

  • Expy: Of Waver Velvet, Iskander's master in Fate:/Zero.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He knows pulling up the King of Conqueror's sword and reciting the incantation will mean he will be offering his body as a host to bring back Magna, but does so willingly if he could save his homeland and people from Autorist tyranny and prove that he is of some worth.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: He does not have a high opinion of himself and his own magical prowess (which led to him and his family being persecuted to begin with), and was hard on himself for proving to be an inadequate host body for the King of Conquerors and leaving him far weaker than he should had been. Magna was fine with it however and encouraged him to believe that he is better than he thinks.
  • Sharing a Body: His current status with Magna, the King of Conquerors as a result of his Heroic Sacrifice, his body becoming host for the soul and power of Magna to reincarnate back into the living world. It was not the best available, but Magna don't blame him for it and relishes in the challenge it presents.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Destiny Wave lacked raw talent in magic and was even weaker than average, but makes up for it with keen intelligence and being an expert researcher. This was how he was able to find the King of Conqueror's tomb and learn of the incarnation ritual needed to offer his body and bring Magna back through him.

Divine Fire, the Right-Hoof of the Conqueror

Classification: Ethereal/Elemental/Ascendant

Domain: Smithing, Negotiation, Fire, Numerous Others

Divine Fire (his entry here) is the second-in-command, chief negotiator, blacksmith and confidant of Magna, the King of Conquerors. Having been his closest friend since childhood, there are few beings Magna trusted more than Divine Fire on his side (other than Thunder Stampede), and his positive influence is attributed as a major factor in how Magna became the noble, honourable and charismatic conqueror god-king he would become.
  • Ambadassador: Divine Fire is Magna's chief diplomat and negotiator in addition to being Number Two, The Conscience and The Blacksmith
  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Rather than bowing in deference to his king upon his return, he gave Magna a friendly head-rub after Magna pulled him into a Bear Hug. Both gestures demonstrates how close they are to each other as friends.
  • Back from the Dead: Like Magna and Thunder Stampede, after their deaths at the end of the 'Reunification Wars' era they slumbered in their own divine weapons through the ages until compatible hosts were found which enabled them to come back via Symbiotic Possession.
  • Best Friend: Divine Fire was inseparable from Magna since childhood and is his closest comrade and trusted right-hoof through their entire lives.
  • The Blacksmith: In addition to being his Number Two, The Conscience and The Confidant of Magna, Divine Fire also forged all his and his subordinates' weapons and armour. He trained under , Adversity's Firstborn, the first and likely Ultimate Blacksmith of Equus, which grants him greater skill and knowledge of metal-crafting and weapon-smithing.
  • The Conscience: Divine Fire had a strong sense of morality and honour and did his best to rein in Magna and help him remain true to his own ideals even as it made dark turns, and was immensely relieved when Magna saw the light during and after the 'Twilight of the Alicorns'.
  • Expy: He's this of Hephaestion, Alexander the Great's best friend. He also takes influence from Hephaestus, the Greek God from which his name was derived.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: As part of his domain of Smithing, Divine Fire has limited control over liquified metal, able to shape and direct it ferrokinetically.
  • God of Fire: Fire being one of his domains, Divine Fire has vast Pyrokinetic powers, able to weave and absorb great firestorms, and together with his smithing domains is all but immune to heat and flames.
  • Number Two: Divine Fire is Magna's second-in-command, his chief diplomat and also the one responsible for forging his weapons and armor.
  • Self-Healing Phlebotinum: Sort of. Divine Fire could repair his armour mid-battle by 'smithing' it with his domain over Smithing.
  • Symbiotic Possession: His current situation with his host Resonate Truth, the best friend of Destiny Wave (Magna's host) who protected him from bullying and persecution since they were young and was resolute in his honesty and other principles, which Divine Fire greatly respected.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: Divine Fire was furious about how Queen Olympia, Magna's mother, treated Divine Fire's little sister whom she adopted into Magna's royal family to serve as his body-double (through a domain she possessed). Magna was similarly disgusted with this act, and it was one of the reasons why they ultimately turned against Queen Olympia.
  • Undying Loyalty: As a testament to how loyal Divine Fire and Thunder Stampede are to the King of Conquerors, when Magna returned weaker than they were due to possessing an inadequate host, they willingly seal away much of their power to ensure the King remains preeminent among the trio of Alicorns.
  • Worthy Opponent: After his return Excelsius, the Prince of Pride and the Crown Prince of Malregnar has at some point come to see him as this and waits for the opportunity to fight him when the day comes the Empire of Malregnar and Golema Imperija formally clash in conflict.

Thunder Stampede, the Left-Hoof of the Conqueror

Classification: Ethereal/Elemental/Ascendant

Domain: Power, Wind, Courage, Numerous Others

Rank: Antecedent

Thunder Stampede (his entry here) is Magna's third in command and the only being he trusts to pull his chariot, as well as trainer of his armies.
  • Badass Driver: The only person Magna trusts to pull his chariot in battle, and does a pretty good job by all consideration. This allows him to be the one to charge first into the fray ahead of even King Magna.
  • Badass Teacher: On top of being Magna's strongest warrior and puller of his chariot, he also trains his armies how to fight.
  • The Big Guy: Magna is already a pretty large Alicorn, and Thunder Stampede is even bigger than he is.
  • Blood Knight: Thunder Stampede loves to fight and introduced himself to Magna challenging and defeating every Alicorn champion and warrior of Magna's fief. One of the reasons he volunteered to be Magna's chariot pulling steed is because he wants to be first into the melee, and if there's anypony who is charging into the fray ahead of his king, it would be him.
  • The Champion: He is the mightiest warrior after Magna himself in the King of Conqueror's armies and plays this role, as well as being his chariot driver and trainer of his army
  • Defeat Means Friendship: After beating every Alicorn opponent he came across in Magna's realm, Magna himself came forth with a bargain: If they battle and Magna won, he would pledge himself to him as a new ally. Magna would win the subsequent duel, and Thunder Stampede would become one of Magna's closest subordinates and friends as the 'Left-Hoof of the Conqueror'.
  • The Magnificent: Thunder Stampede has for his epitaph the 'Left-Hoof of the Conqueror' on account of being one of his mightiest subordinates and allies, being his chariot-driver and champion.

Demon King Sanzu, the Just Overlord

Character: Anti-Villainous (Formerly)/Heroic (Currently)

Alignment: Lawful Evil (Formally)/Lawful Good (Currently)

Type: Evil Overlord (Formally), Demon King, Warlock, AI, Living Video Game Character, Digital Entity,

Faction: Himself (Formally), Tropika, Golema Imperija (Currently)

Demon King Sanzu (his entry here) is a superhero and benevolent 'Demon King' who originated as the main antagonist of a video game franchise brought to life, only to become something much, much more.
  • Awful Truth: His actual existence being a videogame character brought to life is this for him. He struggled to come to terms with it before he decided since he have free-will, he could choose to be good in spite of being literally written to be evil.
  • Back from the Dead: Went down at the end of the Void Aeon fighting, but one fragment of his armour survives, and thanks to his video-game designated powers he was able to resurrect by possessing another Evil Overlord who mucked with it for his own ends.
  • The Dragon: Sanzu was created by the Super Villain Digital Despot to be his top minion for his campaign to Take Over the World, before Sanzu made a Heel–Face Turn and turned on him.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Pulled one upon realizing he is actually a videogame character brought to life, and then decided that since he has actual free-will, he would be a good guy instead of being a villain.
  • Hijacked by Ganon: Invoked and justified with his videogame actions and backstory powers: due to doing that very often in the video games, if any villain tries to use something related to him for evil while he's dead, it was inevitably resurrect him. This was the method in which he used to return to life in the Fourth Age when an Evil Overlord mucked about with an armour fragment he left behind, allowing Sanzu to possess him.
  • The Good King: After realizing he has free will, he chose to become the 'greatest, most benevolent Demon King the world has ever known.' He did.
  • Logical Weakness: While powerful even when manifested in real-life with his own free will, he is still a videogame character by nature, and thus is still limited an identifiable move-sets and patterns which could be identified and exploited by any opponent with gaming experience. Such was the reason for his first defeat by Patch in the Second Age.
  • Maou the Demon King: He's literally a fictional 'Demon King' archvillain from a popular video game franchise called "Realm of the Demon King". However, he realized that in the real world, he has free will and thus chose to become The Good King. He's still a self proclaimed Demon King, however.
  • One-Winged Angel: As per his videogame character design as a 'Final Boss', he could assume an even more powerful and monstrous super-form if his opponent is able to wear him down in his base form.
Sanzu: [Going OWA] After you beat the true final boss once, they achieve their ultimate evolution! That's how video games work!
  • The Power of Friendship: His Heel–Face Turn is the result of one between him and a small colt named Game Shark who nursed him back to health and befriended him while he was having Identity Amnesia from his defeat by Patch, who encouraged him to be good after Sanzu remembered who he is and realize what he REALLY is.
  • Redeeming Replacement: He took over Tropika after its dictatorship crumbled and is universally considered a massive improvement despite being a self proclaimed 'demon king'.
  • Refugee from TV Land: He's literally a video game antagonist come to life. However, realizing this resulted in him realizing he doesn't have to be what he was made to be and could become something else.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: His in-depth videogame backstory has him being this, a warrior who defeated an even worse Evil Overlord and took over the land to bring order and peace, only to become tyrannical himself due to the evil influence of the Greater-Scope Villain Akui. Sanzu himself to be outright good, though his backstory mindset allowed him to 'get' fellow Well-Intentioned Extremist villains such as Overmare whom he would clash with.
