John Tayler's missions

Unknown.

  • Noodle Incident: What he did that was important enough to get Tyler to kill him is unclear.
  • Starter Villain: The first foe faced in the fourth game.

Master painter

    Painter

Reason for death

Copying the work of other people

A fraud of a painter killed in his studio

  • Karmic Death: His blood stains the canvas he was going to paint a forgery on.
  • Plagiarism in Fiction: He's an art forger killed for copying the work of others and selling it on the market.

Jetpack sabotage

    Jetpack inventor

A jetpack maker killed while testing his product.

  • Death by Irony: His own jetpack is used to kill him.
  • Death from Above: His own jetpack crushes his head in.
  • Hope Spot: It first looks like he'll be carried off to his death, but he's just slammed to the ground with some minor bruising. Then his jetpack falls on him.
  • Kick the Dog: He's only killed so the client can win a competition.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: He dies in a way that puts the blame on his own invention.

Shoot the office worker

    Office worker

Reason for death

Who the hell knows

Details

A guy shot until he dies
  • Flat Character: Someone wants him dead and really makes that point clear, yet they say nothing of note about this guy and why they want him killed so badly.

Baseball accident

    Baseball player

Reason for injury

To stop him from playing in a competition

Details

A baseball player injured to take him out of commission for a bit.
  • Groin Attack: He's hit in the dick with a baseball courtesy of a sabotaged ball shooter.
  • Kick the Dog: Mild mercy aside, he's badly injured to make him miss a big game. That probably crushes his spirits like how the baseball crushes his testicles.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: He's harmed in a way to make it seem like his ball shooter just went haywire.
  • Pet the Dog: A very minor example, but he's only injured and will likely be able to play baseball in a little while (though his babymaking days are probably over for good.)

Eating contest

    Hot dog eater

Reason for death

Not paying his debts

Details

A guy deep in debt killed during a hotdog eating contest
  • Disproportionate Retribution: He would have had to be in a huge amount of debt to make killing him a viable solution to the problems of the client, though in the world of clear vision, Evil Is Petty.
  • Eating Contest: He dies during one, though not because of the huge amounts of food he gorges himself on but because Tyler finished him off before he could finish off his food.
  • Loan Shark: He falls victim to one, due to not paying back his debts on time. He's forced to repay with his life.

Take out the trash

    Garbage man

Reason for death

Not specified

Details

A garbage man killed while on his rounds.
  • Never Found the Body: An objective while killing him is to make sure the body is hidden.
  • Noodle Incident: He's one of many targets killed for an unknown (and most likely very petty) reason.
  • Undignified Death: He's shot into his own garbage truck, where his body is likely to decompose without anyone finding it for a long time.

Luke's warm dogs

    Luke

Reason for death

Selling hotdogs in enemy turf

Details

A hotdog seller who is killed while selling in another hotdog seller's area
  • Greed: He's ultimately executed for stealing away business from someone else.
  • Kick the Dog: He's killed due to a selfish and greedy man wanting less competition.
  • Punny Name: Luke(s)warm dogs.
  • Removing the Rival: He's killed due to the fact he's taking business away from another seller.
  • Serious Business: Who would've thought that the hotdog selling scene would be so cutthroat?

Shoot the juggler

    Juggler

Reason for death

To stop him from hurting someone

Details

A juggler juggling swords outside a restaurant

BBQ mayhem

    Barbequers

Reason for death

Unknown

Details

Some folks killed while having a BBQ.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: They're blown up and set alight, both methods being more than enough to kill them instantly. At the same time, it's especially brutal.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: They're both blown up in a fiery mess by their barbeque, courtesy of Tyler's bullet.
  • Noodle Incident: Yet another of many killed for an unknown reason.

Wrecking Inc

    REKK inc employee

Reason for death

Stealing business away

Details

An employee killed at work to cause an accident
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The target is smashed against a wall with a wrecking ball, crushing him to death instantly.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: He's killed like this in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the company while killing off a member of the workforce.
  • No Kill like Overkill: Wrecking balls are used for destroying buildings, so they can smash through flesh like nobody's business.
  • Removing the Rival: People in clear vision don't like competition much. These clients are no exception.

Cowboy Roy

    Cowboy Roy actor

Reason for death

Getting the movie role the client wanted

Details

An actor killed while on set
  • Black Comedy: His hat leaves his head for only one second, landing right back on his bloody skull after he's fallen dead on the floor. He really was committed to his character.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: He's killed out of spite because he got the role the client wanted to have.
  • Evil Is Petty: And how. He's killed because he got a role someone else wanted, and the contract is to get back at the movie crew rather than put the client in the movie instead.
  • Fatal Method Acting: In universe. He's killed while on set.
  • Kick the Dog: He's an innocent actor killed for a senseless reason.
  • Show Within a Show: He's assassinated while shooting a scene in which he plays the titular cowboy.

Headbanger

    Headbanger members

Reason for death

Selling drugs and being disruptive

Details

A band killed in an "accident" while on stage
  • Asshole Victim: They're a trio of troublemakers and drug dealers, so them being off the streets and in the ground is probably for the better.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: A reversed example. The briefing accuses them of causing trouble and selling drugs.
  • Black Comedy: Their flesh being melted off and them being left as skeletons is quite cartoony as compared to the excessive violence and gore the series usually indulges in.
  • Death by Irony: Their own pyrotechnics are used to assassinate them.
  • Kill It with Fire: They're burned alive with sabotaged pyrotechnics.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: How the client requests for them to die. This is achieved with their own pyrotechnics.
  • Rule of Three: There's two guitarists and a drummer, which is probably another thing that makes them an Asshole Victim.

Old but gold

    Crazy old man

Reason for death

Refusing to leave a restaurant

Details

A man killed in a restaurant he wouldn't leave
  • Disproportionate Retribution: The client has every legal right to have the man evicted if he refuses to leave, yet resorts to getting Tyler to blow his brains out instead.
  • Jaywalking Will Ruin Your Life: He's killed because he belligerantly refused to vacate the premises. An incredibly minor crime that isn't punishable by death except when petty murderers are the judge and jury and Tyler is the executioner.
  • Jerkass: Refusing to leave a store when told to is bad behavior, regardless of how extreme what happened to him because of it was.
  • Stupid Evil: The guy was supposedly hurting business, yet having him murdered in the store seems like a far more damaging event in terms of customer retention.

Bon Appetit

    Le sliding cube paramour

Reason for death

Having dinner with the client's wife

Details

A man killed at a fancy restaurant that he was having a date with a married woman at.
  • Asshole Victim: He's still a homewrecker, regardless of how excessive his death is. Little sympathy is offered to him because of this.
  • Cuckold: The client, due to his wife presumably cheating on him with the target. The target becomes a (cu)c(k)old case due to this.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Infidelity and dating a married woman are both reprehensible things to do, though dying for doing so is an excessive overreaction at the very least.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: The target is killed while chatting with his date (the client's wife.)

Bill and his board

    Board vandal

Reason for death

Vandalising Bill's board

Details

A billboard vandal killed in the middle of his vandalism spree.
  • Berserk Button: Vandalising Bill's boards turns him murderous, as this vandal finds out.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Vandalism is bad but killing is worse. Two wrongs only make a right in the warped world of Clear vision.
  • Karmic Death: His blood ends up vandalising the sign as his last act of defacement.
  • Punny Name: The client is named Bill (or so we're led to believe) and they make billboards.
  • Toilet Humor: The vandal apparently has a 12 year old boy's sense of humor, changing the billboard to say "your ass here."

Dead man twist

    Guy in debt

Reason for death

Being yet another poor schmuck who couldn't pay off a debt

Details

Some guy in debt killed while diving
  • Black Comedy: He still does a dive with his lifeless body as he hits the water.
  • Loan Shark: Victim to one, and the debt is his life.
  • Properly Paranoid: Considering what happens to those who don't pay off their debts in this series, he was wise to stay in hiding for a few months. Too bad he didn't stay there long enough.
  • Skewed Priorities: He's been in hiding for months. Though apparently a diving contest overrides his priorities which allows Tyler to turn it into a dying contest.

Slacker smacker

    Millenial

Reason for death

Slacking

Details

A slacker killed while being lazy at work
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In what might be the single biggest example in the series, he's killed for being lazy. Not fired or told off, but shot in the fucking head.
  • Fatal Flaw: His laziness. It gets him killed by a sniper.
  • Lazy Bum: He doesn't do any work which pisses his employers off enough to hire a hitman to assassinate him.
  • The Slacker: He's notorious for this, and is killed for it too.
  • Take That!: The game takes a shot at millenials just as hard as Tyler takes a shot at this millenial's eye.

Hans Kochenburg

    Hans Kochenburg

Reason for death

Who the hell knows anymore?

Details

A wealthy businessman killed for some reason
  • Ambiguously Evil: Most businessmen in the series are either insanely corrupt or completely innocent, but it's unknown where Mr. Kochenburg fits on this scale.
  • Antagonist Title: He's the target of the mission which is also named after him.
  • Cool Shades: Rocks them in his final moments, though they're broken by a bullet going through his eye.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He's assassinated while chatting with someone.
  • Noodle Incident: He apparently did something that made him get killed. What is a mystery.

Creep killer

    Creep

Reason for death

Having child pornography on his office computer

Details

A pedophile killed for acting on it during work
  • Affably Evil: Despite his heinous crimes, he's seen happily chatting with some co-workers.
  • Asshole Victim: He was watching child porn at work, so no tears are lost when Tyler (who is a father of a teenage girl) kills the sick fuck.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He's murdered while chatting with some co-workers.
  • Obviously Evil: He's either visually based on a stereotypical pedophile look in fiction or cosplaying as Real Life Serial Killer Dennis Rader (who was also a pedophile,) but either way, he's clearly not to be trusted.
  • Pædo Hunt: One of the only known child predators in the series, and the reason why he's killed.
  • Stupid Crooks: The dumbass was watching child porn on an office computer, where his search history can easily be traced. If he wasn't killed by Tyler, the police would have gotten him.

Trainspotting

    Lana

Reason for death

Selling business secrets overseas

Details

A woman selling business secrets killed while waiting at a train station.
  • Asshole Victim: She's heavily involved in espionage, so her death isn't that much of a pity.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: A spy and thief masquerading as a normal employee.
  • Men Are the Expendable Gender: Her appearance is so striking due to the fact she's one of the very few female targets in the entire series.
  • The Mole: She was selling her company's secrets overseas, and was killed for doing so.

White knight

    Cans

Reason for death

To win a teddy bear

Details

Cans shot so the client could win a teddy bear (and get laid)
  • All Men Are Perverts: This guy's main motivation for winning his girlfriend a teddy bear is to go down on her later on. It's unknown if he gets his wish.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: This guy's date does, which is why he wants to win the bear for her so badly.
  • Kick the Dog: If Tyler is feeling like a dick (and wants to fail the mission,) he can shoot either of the two lovebirds, which probably puts an end to the guy's goal unless he has a bad case of I Love the Dead.
  • Lighter and Softer: Nobody dies in this level, though a few cans kick the bucket.
  • Pet the Dog: This mission is one of the few in the series where Tyler doesn't do anything too evil (apart from helping a guy cheat in a shooting gallery,) even helping a guy increase his chances with his date in the process. It's an oddly wholesome level in such a bleak series.

Two for one

    Two vandals

Reason for death

Vandalism

Details

Two vandals killed while vandalising
  • Call-Back: The gang seems to have a juvenile slogan they just love to write on walls before being assassinated.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Vandalism is a crime, but not a serious enough one for two people to be brutally murdered.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Tyler being the master sniper that he is shoots both guys through the eye.
  • Sequel Escalation: The mission has happened before (down to the grafitti) but this time both vandals are targets.

Shane's missions

Inner pieces

    Employee

Reason for death

Stealing money from his bosses

Details

A greedy employee killed while doing tai-chi.
  • Asshole Victim: He's a white collar criminal, yet still scummy enough to defraud his own bosses, so he's far from the most sympathetic of targets.
  • Death by Irony: He's killed while trying to stay healthy.
  • Greed: He stole a hundred grand from his workplace, presumably because he likes money that's not his.

DJ's last drop

    DJ droppings

Reason for death

Yet another walking Noodle Incident

Details

A DJ killed while on set.
  • Black Comedy: He dies standing up despite his name and the lack of logic that goes behind that, only serving as a morbidly cheesy visual pun.
  • Cool Shades: They even reflect the lighting at the nightclub he's at.
  • Ironic Name: He's called DJ droppings and the client snarks about making his name a reality, yet he dies standing up somehow. Guess his body couldn't drop like the beat did.
  • Noodle Incident: His transgressions in life are a blank slate as far as Tyler is concerned, he's there to fulfil his contract regardless of the reason.

Split decision

    Peter

Reason for death

Scamming people

Details

A woodworker who has a double life as a Con Man
  • Asshole Victim: He's killed for scamming people, which is a pretty cruel crime to commit.
  • Beard of Evil: He has a shaggy white beard to make him stand out if the woodworking he's doing in the mission didn't identify him well enough.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He leads a double life in scamming hapless victims despite seeming like just a friendly woodworker.
  • Con Man: What he is when he's not working wood. What schemes he pulls are not known.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: He falls onto his own equipment as he's shot, being sawed in half.
  • Evil Old Folks: He's implied to be an old man due to his white and shaggy beard. He's also a remorseless Con Man.
  • Karmic Death: He's finished off with his own buzzsaw as he falls onto it. It's a conclusive way of killing him.
  • No Kill like Overkill: If he wasn't slain by the bullet, then the buzzsaw dissecting him certainly did the job.

Bullethole in one

    Bad golf player

Reason for death

Unknown, but possibly for being bad at golf

Details

A crappy golf player killed while on the course
  • Death by Irony: He can hardly hit his golf ball, but he sure as hell is hit by Tyler's bullet.
  • Epic Fail: He's a woeful golfer, which makes it easy to identify him.
  • Noodle Incident: Since it's never specified if his lack of skill in golf is the catalyst for someone wanting him dead, it's left vague what made someone want him killed so badly.

Wind turbine

    Turbine repairman

Reason for death

Trying to fix a noisy wind turbine

Details

A turbine repairman killed on the job to give a neighbour peace and quiet.
  • Death by Irony: His safety helmet proves to be worthless against a bullet and the guy's own hammer.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: He dies for fixing a turbine that's driving the client crazy, crazy enough to have him assassinated.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: In clear vision, anyone holding something sharp sure as hell will be impaled with it. Cue the hammer's back being used to pierce his skull after his death.
  • Kick the Dog: He's slain for doing his job and is completely innocent of any form of malice whatsoever.

Backdoor bonanza

    Chef

Reason for death

Trying to drug (and presumably rape) the client

Details

A creepy chef killed to stop him from drugging anyone else.
  • Asshole Victim: Like the pedophile employee, he's a sexual deviant who gets what is coming to him.
  • Attempted Rape: He tries to drug a customer at his restaurant, and this is the most likely motivation for why he would do such a thing. Thankfully, the sick fuck is slain before anyone else is violated by him.
  • Beard of Evil: He has a beard, and is a disgusting creep.
  • Dirty Old Man: He looks quite old, and is (almost certainly) an attempted rapist.
  • Evil Chef: He tried Slipping a Mickey to some of his customers, and is a chef who got this opportunity by abusing his occupation.
  • Evil Old Folks: He tries to drug and most likely rape his customers, and he looks quite old.
  • Hate Sink: As disgusting as he was, the pedophile employee at least seemed to get on with his oblivious co-workers. This guy is just a reprehensible scumbag only saved from being utterly monstrous due to not having any onscreen crimes.
  • Slipping a Mickey: He tries to do this to the client, and would have gone on to do this to more people if Tyler didn't slip him a bullet to the eye.

Creepkite

    Creepkite owner

Reason for destruction of kite

Being used to videotape and spy on the client

Details

A creepy dude spying on the client.
  • Heavy Sleeper: The kite owner doesn't even realise that his perving equipment is destroyed due to being so soundly asleep.
  • Karma Houdini: While the guy's kite is broken, he doesn't face any legal or vigilante justice.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: His creepy kite camera is taken out by a true master of stalking.
  • Lazy Bum: He catches a nap while spying on people, using his kite to get his shots while he catches some zzzs because he's too slothful to get them himself.
  • The Peeping Tom: A voyeur perving on his victim with his admittedly creative kite camera.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Applying a kite to a camera to illegally spy on someone is such a ludicrous and stupid idea, yet this guy somehow pulls it off for a while with some degree of skill. Ironically, the conspicuous nature of it gets his kite identified and destroyed rather quickly.
  • Token Good Teammate: The client is actually a decent person, only using a hitman to destroy the kite being used to spy on them, which is restrained and completely understandable, even if it is illegal.

Ass to grass

    Another debtee

Reason for death

Guess

Details

A man killed for not paying back his debts
  • Black Comedy: After he's shot to death, he's still dragged forwards by the lawnmower, which is both comical and horrifying.
  • Death by Irony: His headphones block off the sound of gunshots, which leaves him blissfully unaware of his impending doom if the player misses their shots.
  • Loan Shark: He's like the ten millionth victim of a loan shark (and Tyler) in the series.

Double crossed

    Double crosser

Reason for death

Forcing the client out of his own company

Details

A "good guy" who double crossed the client and died for it.

Tight rope

    Balancing Bruno

Reason for death

Trying to outperform the client

Details

A tightrope walker killed while attempting to break a record.
  • Disney Villain Death: He's shot while on the rope and plummets to his death (if Tyler's shot didn't already do the job.)
  • Kick the Dog: He is an innocent man murdered to preserve the client's record.
  • No Kill like Overkill: Being shot isn't enough, the poor guy also has to fall hundreds of feet, which is almost impossible to survive.
  • Removing the Rival: He's killed in order to prevent him from possibly outperforming the client in tightrope walking.

Morning glory

    Identity thief

Reason for death

Stealing the identities of other people

Details

A fugitive stopped dead in his tracks by Tyler.
  • Asshole Victim: A notorious fugitive, it's not a reason for sadness when he's slain by a fellow criminal.
  • Conspicuously Public Assassination: He's murdered while stretching in the park alongside many others. Naturally, they scatter off in case they're the next victims of a potential mass shooter.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: A spectacle wearing thief with little in the way of morality.
  • Hidden Depths: He's apparently a fan of stretching exercises, as he's killed while participating in a group.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: He's gotten away with his crimes for many years but he couldn't get away from the reach of Tyler's rifle.
  • Smug Snake: He's a fugitive wanted in eight countries, yet he's arrogant enough to try and blend in amongst many people.

Stream sniping

    Streamer

Reason for death

Pissing off the wrong person

Details

A streamer killed while still filming
  • Flat Character: His neon blue hair is given more depth than his personality is.
  • Kick the Dog: As far as we know, this poor sod was just a random streamer who was too controversial for some rich murderer by proxy to handle.
  • Noodle Incident: It's unknown what some streamer did to warrant such an open hit being placed on him, one that would have probably been accepted if Tyler hadn't picked it up first.

Spy drone

    Spy drone

Reason for destroying it

For continuing to be a hassle

Details

A spy drone controlled by a pervert who didn't learn his lesson
  • Karma Houdini: Apart from maybe losing a few grand in pocket money, the pervert still faces little retribution for his creepy and illegal behavior.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The expensive replacement is shot down just as quickly, costing the evil perv even more in damages.
  • Running Gag: This isn't the first time this client has asked for some creep's cameras to be destroyed.
  • Too Dumb to Live: An example where the pervert survives. Continuing with his creepy acts after his camera was shot down is suicidal, especially since the only reason he's still alive is because the client has an amazing amount of restraint.
  • Took a Level in Badass: The kite is replaced with a drone, which is far more advanced and expensive.

Under the hood

    Mechanic

Reason for death

Running a kidnapping gang

Details

A kidnapper and mechanic killed while doing the latter
  • Asshole Victim: He's one of the most evil targets Tyler kills, so he's of course one of the least sympathetic.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: While he seems like a decent guy on the surface, he's a kidnapper and gang leader who has ruined many lives before karma caught up to him in the form of Tyler.
  • Black Comedy: The car trunk slams on his head when he's already been shot to death.
  • The Don: He's the leader of a gang that specialises in kidnapping in his spare time, with this "hobby" being the reason for his termination.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: It's unlikely his heinous crimes will be revealed after his death, and he'll probably be seen as yet another unfortunate victim of Tyler.

Party pooper

    Vedela INC VP

Reason for death

Blackmailing the client

Details

A blackmailer killed while attending a party
  • Affably Evil: He seems to be on good terms with the other guests, who enjoy his company until he's abruptly assassinated in front of them.
  • Asshole Victim: He's not very sympathetic towards his victims so he's treated with similar disdain when he becomes a victim himself.
  • Blackmail: He's been doing this to the client, who handily had an assassin on his contacts list.
  • Conspicuously Public Assassination: He's killed while at a party with many guests in attendance.
  • Death by Irony: His desire to stand out at the party led to him being easily identified and executed because of his gaudy party hat.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He dies while drinking and chatting with some other party guests.

Car salesman

    Car salesman

Reason for death

Selling bad cars

Details

A used car salesman and Con Man killed for combining both occupations.
  • Asshole Victim: He's a greedy Con Man who has stolen a large amount of money because of his schemes.
  • Con Man: He's a variation of this, using his charisma and business skills to sell crappy products to people by omitting required information. This lack of transparency leaves him with a see-through hole through his head.
  • Conspicuously Public Assassination: He's killed in the middle of his busy car dealership.
  • Faux Affably Evil: His charisma masks the conniving and deceptive man that he truly is.
  • Honest John's Dealership: He runs one, which the client fell victim to.
  • Karmic Death: He's killed on the orders of a man he ripped off.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He's shot to death while talking to his next victims.
  • Take That!: He's an evil version of the stereotypical used car salesman.

Model photoshoot

    Isabell Donna

Reason for death

Being bad for business

Details

A model killed by some other people in the agency.
  • Beauty Is Bad: She's attractive enough to be a photomodel and is bad enough to get killed.
  • Death by Irony: She's killed by a shot while shots are taken of her.
  • Ms. Fanservice: While she isn't as obviously proportioned as Tyler's ex wife, her poses and occupation hint at this.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Her name is a play on (is belladona,) a plant known as deadly nightshade due to its poisonous nature. She's probably not good news, regardless of the vague nature of the target briefing.
  • Noodle Incident: She's apparently bad for business, but it's never revealed how exactly.

Thot shot

    blixxie Sphinx

Reason for death

Making other instaslam models look bad.

Details

An instaslam model assassinated by Tyler.
  • Black Comedy: After being shot, she falls face first into the food bowl she was taking photos of.
  • Bland-Name Product: Twenty guesses for what instaslam is a parody of.
  • Conspicuously Public Assassination: She's murdered in a crowded outdoor cafe.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: While she's probably insufferable, that doesn't justify her death.
  • Hypocrite: The client dislikes her for her behavior, yet seems to do the exact same thing and comes across as just as vapid and shallow.
  • Take That!: To social media influencers. She's obnoxiously taking photographs of her food when she's killed.

Infiltration

    Sisu tower employers/CEO

Reason for deaths

Something about the briefcase in the vault.

Details

An entire building wiped out by Tyler in an infiltration
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: The CEO (who relies on the strength of his employers rather than his own) will plead for Tyler to spare him by offering him the briefcase without hassle. It doesn't work.
  • Boom, Headshot!: How most of the foes can be dispatched.
  • But Thou Must!: [[spoiler:Don't try sparing the CEO. The mission will fail because of it, despite the option being there as Schmuck Bait. Obviously, Tyler has to wipe out everyone without mercy.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Most of them fail to put up a decent fight against Tyler, due to the latter having the element of surprise at his disposal.
  • Epic Fail: If the player isn't quick enough, Tyler will be sprayed with bullets by the guards. It's both embarrassing and pitiful seeing the Professional Killer get killed so effortlessly.
  • Improbable Weapon User: A few improvised weapons can be used against the employees. The first one involves someone's head is smashed in and electrocuted with a computer.
  • Karmic Death: One of the employees can be killed with the poison cannister he is working on.
  • Kick the Dog: The CEO is ambushed and shot in the head after opening the safe for Tyler in an effort to have his life spared.
  • Neck Snap: Tyler can channel his inner Agent 47 by breaking the neck of one of the employees.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: If the player (and Tyler) screw up, Tyler will be chastised in the mission fail screen. "You did something wrong, mate" indeed.
  • Stealth-Based Mission: Parts of this level require being undetected. If you walk past the lab where the scientists are, they'll start flailing around for a few seconds until you fail the mission.

Hostage situation

    Hostage taker

Reason for death

Using a civilian as a Human Shield.

Details

A randomised hostage taker who can be killed by Tyler for some quick cash.
  • Asshole Victim: He's holding someone as a human shield, so no sympathy is offered when he's killed for doing so.
  • Ax-Crazy: What else would you call a guy that uses people as a Human Shield?
  • Hate Sink: A cowardly and ruthless criminal using an innocent person as a Human Shield in a desperate bid to escape his punishment.
  • Human Shield: He's always seen holding someone as one, which makes killing him more difficult due to the civilian stopping Tyler from getting a clear shot at the dick.
  • Optional Boss: He's a reoccuring foe that can be encountered as many times as you wish as his mission becomes playable at random.
  • Pet the Dog: It's a rare mission where Tyler is not only getting rid of an Asshole Victim but also saving the life of someone in the process. It probably helps that he's paid a shitload of money for saving the guy.

Blacksplit

    Blacksplit

Reason for death

Trying to shoot the clients

Details

A group of gangsters meeting with the client for a deal, which goes sour.
  • Asshole Victim: They die in the middle of trying to murder the people they're supposed to be dealing with.
  • Defiant to the End: The targets will keep firing on the clients even as they're gunned down one by one. It's unclear if they're so immersed in their efforts to murder the other guys that they don't even realise they're being picked off by someone else.
  • Genre Savvy: The client was wise to request Tyler's help in watching over the deal.
  • Karmic Death: They're shot to death while trying to shoot some other people to death.

Blood and oil

    Pirates

Reason for death

Taking over an oil rig

Details

Some pirates who have taken over an oil rig. They're killed on the oil rig.
  • Asshole Victim: They're pirates who take over important structures for their own nefarious purposes. It's obvious that killing them is meant to be a guilt free event.
  • Defiant to the End: Even with a helicopter that could extend their lifespans a little bit, they still decide to go down fighting Tyler.
  • Flat Character: Little is known about them, as they're just generic baddies for Tyler to kill without having too much of a moral dilemma.
  • Ruthless Modern Pirates: They're not your "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" types. They're more like the "yar, har har, take over your oil rig" sort.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: They can actually kill Tyler if he's not quick enough. Though fortunately, Tyler can withstand about 50 bullets before going down since he's so badass.

Industry silo

    Cartel

Reason for death

Probably because they're the cartel

Details

The cartel killed during a firefight.
  • Asshole Victim: They're mobsters who die participating in criminal activities, so they're obviously worse than most of the targets in the main game.
  • Genre Savvy: Like the previous guys, these guys are wise in having a Professional Killer on hold for backup, as the cartel are formidable opponents despite being few in numbers. It's likely they would have been overwhelmed by them if Tyler hadn't stepped in and joined the firefight.
  • Recycled Premise: The exact same type of mission happens two missions ago, just this time it's against a slightly different looking gang without a clear name. At least these guys fight back against Tyler unlike the other morons before them.

Lighthouse light up

    Lighthouse punks

Reason for death

Taking over a lighthouse

Details

Some thugs who took over a lighthouse
  • Asshole Victim: They took over a lighthouse for an unknown but probably nefarious reason, so clearly no sympathy is to be had over their deaths.
  • Flat Character: There's little known about them, and the reason they took over the lighthouse is yet another enigmatic mystery for Bumville historians to debate over.

Shippy business

    Drug dealers

Reason for death

Shipping drugs

Details

Some drug dealers killed to stop their shipping operations from continuing.
  • Asshole Victim: They're armed and dangerous drug dealers running a drug smuggling operation
  • Final Boss: Of the multi missions. They're made to be the most difficult out of the levels, as they're spaced out across the map and well prepared to pierce Tyler's skin like swiss cheese if not dealt with hastily.
