The Avengers

    In General

    Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/13e8a059890797e5a8ad09814906a104.jpg
I'm Going Ghost!
  • Combat Pragmatist: When faced with particularly large or powerful opponents such as a Mutradi Tri-Beast or the Yowie-Yahoo, he opts to simply use his intangibility to directly attack their internal organs.
  • Combo Platter Powers: Has one of the most diverse powersets of the team, which includes his invisibility, intangibility, flight, ecto-blasts, ice powers, and his Ghostly Wail, which Ben lampshades during the Let's You and Him Fight situation. While Ben has a wider variety of powers, they're spread through his aliens. Danny, meanwhile, has immediate access to his wide range of abilities at all times.
  • The Leader: He takes command of the team during the Mutradi Invasion, and is designated as such during Episode 2.
  • No-Sell: His ghost powers allow him to do this to attempted possession, such as when he fights off the Mutradi Phantoms from taking over his body.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: His standard powers would make him this, but his Ghostly Wail raises his status to the point that he could level a city. Word of God states that he's more cautious about this than his teammates, which is one of the reasons he's the leader.
  • Takes One to Kill One: He is able to destroy the Necro-Amulet due to his ghost powers.

    Ben Tennyson

It's Hero Time!
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Despite his immaturity, he's more in line with how he was in Alien Force/Ultimate Alien rather than Omniverse, where he infamously Took a Level in Jerkass.
  • Bash Brothers: Gets along well with Rex from their last team-up and the two have a blast beating up baddies together. During their fight with Van Kleiss they display excellent teamwork, easily putting their opponent on the ropes.
  • The Big Guy: Functions as this due to being the strongest of the Avengers as well as perhaps being the most experienced.
  • Combo Platter Powers: He has the most diverse powerset of the entire team, with access to dozens of different aliens and abilities; Danny has less powers than him, but has the advantage that he has access to his abilities 'full-time' whereas Ben's powers are divided among his various alien forms.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Inadvertently set off the events of Night of the Beyond by scattering Dagon's essence in the past, which causes a Hate Plague as it tries to reassemble itself.
  • Seen It All: Is arguably the most experienced member of the team and has encountered the broadest range of enemies and events, to the point that little truly shocks him.
    • For example, in the prologue he's able to tell he's been transported to another Earth within seconds and acts as if its a minor inconvenience.
    • While the others are shocked at the size of the Mutradi fleet, he nonchalantly remarks if you've seen one invasion fleet you've seen them all.

    Rex Salazar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_9845.png
Thrill me.
  • Bash Brothers: Gets along well with Ben from their last team-up and the two have a blast beating up baddies together. During their fight with Van Kleiss they display excellent teamwork, easily putting their opponent on the ropes. He puts his knowledge of Ben to good use when fighting Albedo, who has identical powers to Ben.
  • Blood Knight: Shows great enthusiasm whenever the opportunity to fight arises. He even cites the sole upside to the existence of an army of zombie dragons as an opportunity to cut loose.
  • Combat Pragmatist: When faced with opponents who rely on technology to fight,he has no qualms with disabling it with his Technopathy.
  • Combo Platter Powers: His nanites give him a variety of abilities including Super-Toughness, a minor Healing Factor, technopathy, and his 'Builds', which grant him an impressive arsenal of weapons and vehicles, and can provide Super-Strength.
  • Friend to All Children: Has been frequently paired up with the Avengers younger allies, including Dani and Haley, and is shown to get along well with each of them.
  • No-Sell: When Technus tries to take control of his nanites by overshadowing him/them, he manages to fight him off, which he attributes to his nanites having been subjected to so many attempts to control them by "geniuses" that they've built up a resistance to outside control.
  • Tempting Fate: In the first chapter of Night of the Beyond, bored, he says that nothing is going on right now. Newton promptly arrives with his Super-Speed and states that multiple explosions are going off outside the mansion.

    Zak Saturday
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/555640_zak_1_large_3.jpg
  • Battle in the Center of the Mind: Has one with the Dark Dragon in "Dawn of the Dragons" in order to free the Sphynx and the other magical guardians from the Dark Dragon's mind-control spell, discovering in the process that his Kur powers work on magical creatures from Jake, Kim, and Ron's world. He even manages to get some information from the Dark Dragon's mind in the process.
  • Dual Wielding: Does this with the Claw and the Fang after he obtains the latter from Argost.
  • Fights Like a Normal: His powers only work on Cryptids, making them useless outside of his home dimension. As such, he relies on his extensive combat training and scientific expertise to contribute to the team.
  • Genius Bruiser: In addition to his extensive combat training, Zak has displayed advanced skills in science and engineering, being able to keep pace with Octus' explanation of how the rift gate works, and understanding the mechanics of the liquid metal Drakken aims to steal in "Mission Possible".
  • Odd Friendship: With Octus. Octus is an artificial intelligence created by an alien scientist who is less than a year old, while Zak is a reincarnation of an ancient cryptid with mystical powers. The two quickly bond over being the resident science experts and seem to enjoy each others company both on and off missions.
  • Reforged into a Minion: It's revealed when Dagon invaded in Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Zak, along with his parents were turned into Esoterica. It's even implied to be the reason Zak got his Kur powers back.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He ends up taking the Fang from Argost and wielding it in tandem with the Claw. In "Dawn of the Dragons", he discovers that if he hits a target with both weapons at the same time and location, the anti-matter/matter reaction produces localized but devastating effects.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Zak takes the Fang from Argost during their battle at Weird World, and in "Dawn of the Dragons", he discovers that if it and its positive matter counterpart the Claw hit the same spot on an enemy at the same time the anti-matter/matter reaction produces unpredictable effects on the target, a miniature version of the weirdness produced in previous Saturday/Monday interacts. The first time it happens, the zombie dragon in question explodes.

    Lance
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/SBT-02_8260.jpg
  • Bodyguard Crush: It's hinted that his feelings for Ilana are more than platonic.
  • Mirror Character: Despite the friction between him and Rex, the two are actually quite similar in their origins. Both were orphaned at a young age and were eventually taken in by a military organization (Lance joined military academy and eventually the army proper, while Rex was a Providence agent). Both also have a Dark and Troubled Past between these two events (Lance suffered from ostracization and at least one attempt on his life from his peers, while Rex experienced frequent bout of amnesia, and was a member of a Chinese gang at one point). Hilariously, despite Lance's scolding of Rex's lack of discipline, he himself was actually frequently insubordinate to his superiors when he felt he had a better plan.

    Ilana
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sbtilana.png
  • Damsel in Distress: Ilana gets captured by Psyphon and needed to be rescued by Rufus when he snuck along. She's also aware of how she tends to be this and is rather self-conscious about it. In "Clash of Titans", she seeks out Kim for training so she has more options when she can't use her armor so she can avert this happening to her all the time.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: When Max calls Lance her boyfriend, she says, not very convincingly, that they're just friends.
  • Took a Level in Badass: She's deliberately trying to invoke this by training under Kim so she's not helpless outside of her armor.
  • You Monster!: Outright calls Vilgax this in "War of the Worlds". He pretty much relishes in it.

    Octus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_945.png
  • Benevolent A.I.: A Galalunan A.I. and a dedicated hero and friend to the other Avengers.
  • Genius Bruiser: As in canon, aiding in the construction of the team's portal generators and acting as one of the resident science experts. He is also capable of running down dozens of Mutradi soldiers single-handedly.
  • Odd Friendship: With Zak. Octus is an artificial intelligence created by an alien scientist who is less than a year old, while the latter is a reincarnation of ancient cryptid with mystical powers. The two quickly bond over being the resident science experts and seem to enjoy each other's company both on and off missions.

    Jake Long
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jake_long_season_2_3.jpg
Click here for his dragon form
Dragon up!
  • Battle Couple: With his girlfriend Rose, who is an expert hand-to-hand fighter. The two show impressive coordination, even in mid-air combat, attacking the Yowie-Yahoo on multiple fronts.
  • Combo Platter Powers: He's not at Danny or Ben's levels, but being a dragon grants him a number of powers and abilities, including fire breath, flight, super strength and durability, etc.
  • Weredragon: As in canon, he can shift between human and dragon form at will.

    Kim Possible
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4353472ca54c850ea6fd4adddd30f7776f_07_kim_possiblersocialw1200.jpg
What's the Sitch?
  • Badass Normal: She is the only member of the team without any powers or Power Armour, but still has top-notch martial arts skills and years of experience in infiltration and stealth.
  • Battle Couple: With Ron. Not only are they an Official Couple, but they have been a team for years, making them a force to be reckoned with in combat.
  • Expy: Serves to be this Avengers' version of Black Widow, owing to her Badass Normal credentials surrounded by rather extraordinary people.
  • Shipper on Deck: Has commented on Danny and Sam being a good Battle Couple, as well as teasing Ilana about her and Lance.

    Ron Stoppable
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ron_stoppable_0.jpg
Booyah!
  • Battle Couple: With Kim. Not only are they an Official Couple, but they have been a team for years, making them a force to be reckoned with in combat.
  • Irony: Ben Lampshades the fact that the guy with Mystic Monkey Powers has a crippling fear of monkeys.
  • Supernatural Martial Arts: Odd case in that the supernatural 'provides' the martial art. Ron's Mystic Monkey power not only gives him Super-Strength, but an instinctive mastery of monkey style kung fu.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Modula notes that while his monkey kung fu abilities are powerful, he doesn't really have any mastery of them besides the basics his powers provide.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He's gotten a bit better about his fear of monkeys, but he's still afraid of them, as Ben finds out when he transforms into Spidermonkey.

    Rufus
  • Odd Friendship: While Komodo and Zon have become his {{Sitcom Arch Nemesis}es due to trying to eat him, he's on good terms with Fiskerton.
  • Pet Gets the Keys: When Illana was held prisoner by Vilgax, Rufus, who had ended up with her, helped her to escape.

    Breach
A mentally unstable EVO with the power to create portals, who was once a minion of Van Kleiss. After many encounters with Rex, she eventually struck out on her own. Following the events of Night of the Beyond, she joins the Avengers full-time.
  • Amplifier Artifact: Paradox gives her a device that allows her to use her powers to easily travel between alternate universes. It can't let her time travel on her own like Van Kleiss managed to do, but she's fine with that.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: She spends much of Deus Rex Machina under Van Kleiss' control. After her control collar is removed, she easily switches sides and helps the Avengers.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: She regains her sanity, is at peace with herself, gets to defeat Van Kleiss single-handedly, and joins Rex in the Avengers, giving her the home she'd lost after going EVO.
  • Hero of Another Story: She's spent the last five years from her perspective travelling through time and space with Paradox, having numerous adventures of her own.
  • Sanity Strengthening: Her five years adventuring with Paradox has made her significantly more stable mentally speaking than she was in canon.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Her main power is creating tears in reality that can transport her anywhere, even to other universes after being given an Amplifier Artifact.
  • Took a Level in Badass: She's gotten much more powerful when she returns in Night of the Beyond, even creating an entire pocket dimension on the fly to contain the Esoterica the heroes are fighting.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: By the time she returns in Night of the Beyond after her five years of adventuring with Paradox, she's a lot more open and well-adjusted.

    Fiskerton
  • Hero of Another Story: When Dagon invaded, he along with the other Cryptids fended off against the Esoterica-transformed Saturdays.

    Komodo
  • Hero of Another Story: When Dagon invaded, he along with the other Cryptids fended off against the Esoterica-transformed Saturdays.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Komodo doesn't get along with Rufus who obviously didn't like the lizard tried to eat him.

    Zon
  • Hero of Another Story: When Dagon invaded, she along with the other Cryptids fended off against the Esoterica-transformed Saturdays.

The Cabal

     In General
A group of multiversal supervillains composed of the biggest members of the Avengers' rogues galleries.
  • Deck of Wild Cards: Despite General Modula leading them, all of the members are scheming to get their way to the top one way or another.

    General Modula
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: As far as canon went, he was a well-trained and experienced Galalulan warrior, which is not disputed here. Despite this, he has enough physical strength and toughness to last in a 3v1 fight against Danny, Rex and Ben (as Diamondhead).
  • Expy: He is to the Avengers what Baron Zemo is to their Marvel namesakes, leading a group of villains composed of said Avengers' rogues galleries.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: Wishes to lead the Cabal to conquer the Multiverse after the Avengers are dealt with.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: Plays a mean game all throughout the first two stories. Starts with a multi-step invasion of Earth, and keeps Galaluna occupied at the same time to prevent reinforcements. When the Avengers thwart this and confront him he stays long enough to get their measure before cutting his losses and fleeing. Then he sends a squad of phantoms with Mind Control powers to attack the team and gather intel. Despite all but one perishing, this still gives him access to the same technology the Avengers use to travel between their dimensions, which he uses to send a recruitment pitch to each dimension to form the Cabal.

    Vlad Masters/Plasmius
  • Combo Platter Powers: As a halfa like Danny, he has a similarly broad range of powers including Flight, Intangibility, Invisibility, Super-Strength, Super-Toughness, Ghost Rays and duplication.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Danny, sharing his nature as a halfa, while supplementing his powers with technology.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: It's lampshaded in Night of the Beyond that he has a tendency to try to harness powerful beings and forces, like Vortex, only for it to backfire on him.
    • In Forces of Nature, he lampshades how his past attempt to control Vortex backfired, which is why he knows that said weather ghost and Undergrowth wouldn't work well with the Cabal, and why they're being manipulated instead.
  • Me's a Crowd: His favored power, since it lets him gain the numbers advantage in a fight, and combined with Invisibility lets him flee a battle before his opponent realizes he is gone.
  • The Password Is Always "Swordfish": His password for every lock, door, etc. is a birthdate of Danny's mom.

    Dr. Draken

    Vilgax
  • Bag of Spilling: Reveals that when Ben stripped him of the powers of Daigon, he also lost the powers of the ten alien champions he had stolen.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He's well aware that he's a despotic bastard, and he enjoys what he is.
    Ilana: You're a monster.
    Vilgax: I am indeed.
  • Composite Character: Takes elements from each of his appearances throughout his home series. These include his sword from Alien Force, his tactical abilities in Ultimate Alien and Omniverse, with his overall appearance and effectiveness matching that of the original series.
  • Does Not Like Magic: In Night of the Beyond, he shows a disdain for magic, saying that relying too much on it will only lead to complacency.
  • The Juggernaut: Restoring his cybernetics has him regain this status. To wit, he withstands a prolonged fight with most of the Avenger's heavy hitters, survives the vacuum of space, falls from orbit with nothing but a flimsy piece of metal, and proceeds to continue the fight unimpeded. In the end, it takes a Combination Attack from Danny and Ben (the teams strongest members) to net a win and he only retreats because he already obtained the blueprint for Ilana' Corus armor.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He claims that he's been conquering and destroying planets for thousands of years.

    Van Kleiss
  • Energy Absorption: His Removed Achilles' Heel is due to the fact that his gauntlet has been modified to allow him to absorb energy to sustain himself directly.
  • Forced Transformation: Can inflict this on his opponents, injecting them with nanites that transform them into E.V.O.'s.
  • Genius Bruiser: Is shown to be an excellent tactician and has impressive knowledge on a variety of advanced scientific concepts. In addition, he had the upper hand in a fight against Rex before Ben showed up.
  • No-Sell: His attempt to turn a Far Frozen Yeti into an E.V.O. fails.
  • Removed Achilles' Heel: Through some unknown means given to him through the Cabal, he no longer needs to drain nanites from E.V.O.'s in order to sustain himself.

    V.V Argost
  • Ape Shall Not Kill Ape: Averted. He has no trouble brutally attacking the Far Frozen ghost Yetis when Drakken asks; besides humans doing things that are just as bad to their fellows, he's already killed a member of his own kind, so it's pretty much another day for him.
  • Body Backup Drive: Mentions his current body is a cloned version of his original yeti one.
  • Mind Control: Similar to Zak, his Anti-Kur powers let him do this to any other cryptids.
  • No-Sell: His Anti-Kur powers are ineffective on the Far Frozen Yeti ghosts.

    Dark Dragon
  • No-Sell: Does this to Zak's attempt to mind control him, pointing out his powers only work on non-sentient magical creatures. Zak does manage to get some information out of him, though.
  • Stupid Evil: Subverted. While his plan to release the Leviathan is treated by allies and enemies alike as essentially a way to get everything (including himself and all other magical creatures) killed in actuality his goal is to assess the strength of the Avengers and determine if its worth his while to join the Cabal.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Did this the last time he encountered Kim and Ron, which led to his defeat. In 'Dawn of the Dragons' he makes an effort not to repeat this.
  • Weredragon: Like the other dragons from Jake, Kim, and Ron's world, he can take on human form, but apparently no one knows what said human form looks like, and he's always in dragon form whenever he appears.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Its made clear the reason Kim and Ron took him down relatively easily last time is because he underestimated them and didn't use his full powers. Here he makes no such mistake and gives them along with Zak and Jake a tough fight.

Agents of the Cabal

    Shego

    Skulker
  • Crazy-Prepared: Grabbed some of the leftover Huntsclan weapons to use against the heroes.

    Baron
  • Ascended Extra: He only ever appeared in single episode of Sym-Bionic Titan as part of Lance's backstory. Here, he becomes an enforcer of the Cabal and an enemy of the Avengers.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Lance, as both of them were rivals as children, with him being a fellow Manus pilot as well as forming the body of Goliath. The difference being that, aside from Baron being a complete asshole, Lance stayed loyal to Galaluna while Baron betrayed his people to side with Modula.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Doesn’t like Shego at all. One wonders why the Cabal thought pairing them together for Goliath was was a good idea...

    Albedo
  • Adaptational Wimp: He's unable to turn into Ultimate aliens because the Cabal wouldn't want him to have that level of power, lest he get thoughts on overthrowing them. Rex picks up on this and mocks him for it.
  • Always Second Best: When Rex fights Albedo, he mockingly points out that Albedo is always second to either Ben, Azmuth, or Vilgax, lacking enough power or intellect to truly surpass them while still being smart and dangerous enough to know he could be better.
  • Insufferable Genius: Has a rather inflated opinion of his own, admittedly considerable, intelligence.

    Novek (Spoilers)
A replicant of Octus created by Modula.
  • Achilles' Heel: Him being an evil version of Octus means that he has all of the original's strengths and weaknesses, including being vulnerable to energy absorption. This is how the Avengers destroy him, as they have Ben absorb the DNA of the alien that killed Octus the first time and set him against Novek.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Played with. He's loyal to his creator, but he serves the Cabal, who seek to conquer the multiverse.
  • Evil Counterpart: He's one to Octus, having been made as a replicant of him after Van Kleiss retrieved his blueprints.
  • Lack of Empathy: He was deliberately designed to be incapable of empathy or feeling anything beyond devotion to his masters.

    Dagon (Spoilers)
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: Dagon isn't happy at being hijacked by the Cabal, but he knows they'll slip up eventually, and he promises to make quick work of them once he's off their leash.
  • Fatal Flaw: Arrogance. Being easily amused by Titan and Max's attempts to fight him allows the other heroes to find a way to drain him once again.
  • Fighting a Shadow: Octus makes note that any physical damage done to Dagon is pointless because his true nature as an Energy Being. Dagon himself confirms this, and backs it up by constantly regenerating during the fight.
  • Reforged into a Minion: Using the Infini-Map, a modified Vox Peniculus, the ambient mana of Legerdomain, and Argost's ability to control cryptids, the Cabal ressurects Dagon and use him as an attack dog.

Allies

Galactic Guardian Group

    Solomon
  • Badass Normal: He's completely human, but he's more than capable of holding his own against the threats the Avengers contend with.
  • Big Good: While still enigmatic as ever, he serves as this for the Avengers, being the one who alerts them to new threats and having helped them form as a team.
  • The Team Benefactor: He's the one who provides for the Avengers, having supplied them with the Avengers Manor as well as various Quinjets for their use.

    The G3 Leader
  • Ambiguously Human: He's mostly unseen, making it unclear if he's human or not. However, the revelation that he created Octus heavily implies that he's actually from Galaluna.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: He's this for G3 and even the Avengers, as not only is he the man really in charge of the organization, but it's also revealed that he created Octus.
  • Secret Identity: It's unknown who he really is, and only Solomon knows his true identity.

Other

    Maximillian Ambro
A recent ally of Kim and Ron from their time starting college. He is the latest in a series of reincarnations of the wizard Merlin, and provides plenty of mystical assistance to the team.
  • The Archmage: Being a reincarnation of freaking Merlin, this is to be expected.
  • Blood Knight: Is shown excited at the idea of getting to fight an alien warlord and when he and his friends were about to get attacked by the Lucubra, rather than be scared he just got excited at the idea of letting loose against them since they are mindless beings.
  • Born-Again Immortality: How his reincarnation functionally works, as Merlin devised a way for each life to regain their Past-Life Memories. This is done by coming into contact with his staff, which they instinctively seek out.
  • Strong and Skilled: Has absolutely immense magical power and knowledge from his time as Merlin. His Born-Again Immortality has also given him centuries of experience using this for a vast array of spells, letting him run rings around most magic users.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: All the memories from his Born-Again Immortality combined with his magic have strained the sanity of more than one of his incarnations, which is why he has his cane, AKA Merlin's wand. In particular, his second incarnation, before the wand was made, ended up in Legerdomain and had all the power there go to his head even after he returned.
