Across the pages, I don't seem to see anything with regards to Hannibal's mask slipping when it comes to his beloved sister. Not So Stoic, anyone? Hidden Depths, much?
Minor Update: Richard Armitage has been cast as Francis Dolarhyde. Will refrain from adding to character page until intro episode.
With the news that Gillian Anderson will become a series regular in Season 3, should her character sheet be moved to the Main Characters page?
Hide / Show RepliesSeeing as that season has not yet started, I would wait until it has.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat's with Stuffed Into The Fridge being removed? What happened to Beverly seems like an utterly textbook example, including Bryan Fuller's own statements on the subject.
Hide / Show RepliesI'll add it back, but Idiot Plot seems to have disappeared AGAIN, so I think there may be an edit war going on.
Wait, nevermind. I thought it would be under YMMV or the Character page but it's on the Main.
Petition to lock Hannibal/YMMV? I think there may be an edit war going on.
Edited by 75.17.252.107I added How We Got Here because of this article http://www.buddytv.com/articles/hannibal/hannibal-season-2-spoilers-52352.aspx
Warning spoilers!
Edited by 168.99.161.2 Hide / Show RepliesUh, that needs fewer spoiler tagging. Spoilering the entire example text is bad.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanUm what should I do? I'm not very good at this kind of stuff
Edited by 71.227.184.128I'm having second thoughts about my Five-Man Band. Maybe it should be: The Hero: Will Graham The Lancer: Hannibal lecter The Smart Guy: Jimmy Price, Brian Zeller and Beverly Katz The Big Guy: Jack Crawford The Chick: Alana Bloom Maybe a better question is should there be any at all?
Hide / Show RepliesWill doesn't really seen to fit the The Hero trope, even though he's the main character. In fact, he seems like more of the The Big Guy, since he's always on the field and has come to physical confrontation with the killers. Jack is without a doubt The Leader of the group. But I agree that the Science Team are the The Smart Guy since they do the analyzing, and Alana is The Chick. Hannibal would be both The Lancer and the Token Evil Teammate.
Edited by qazwsxCould the Character sheet be rearranged a bit? We could have more specific folders to keep up with the characters:
- Main character (Will, Hannibal, Jack, Alana) - FBI (Katz, Price, Zeller, Miriam) - Criminals (Hobbs, Gideon, the murderers we're about to get) - Others (Abigail, Freddie, Bella, Chilton, Du Maurier)
Or alternatively
- FBI (Will, Jack, Katz, Price, Zeller, Miriam) - Criminals (Hannibal, Hobbs, Gideon) - Psychologist (Alana, Chilton, Du Maurier) - Others (Abigail, Freddie, Bella)
Just a suggestion; I thought this might be more pragtical, now when we're getting more and more characters. :)
Edited by 70.33.253.44 Hide / Show RepliesOthers = recurring? I'm quite in favor of your first proposed organization. :)
Edited by 69.172.221.2Maia Maiden, no one protested, but why is it still the same? Is it okay if I go ahead and do it?
Argh, I simply forgot to do it! But thank you for seeing the trouble.
I think the folder "Killers" should be changed to "Notable killers" as not all of them are included. Kind of like the "Notable Unsubs" folder in the "Criminal Minds" Character sheet.

Hallucinations - "we see him lecturing to his class until Alana comes in and asks if he's rehearsing"
I was under the impression that this was more of Will's 'lost time' - he was giving a class, but he 'blinked' and found himself several hours later, possibly even rehearsing, and no one thought anything of it.
EDIT: thoughts for Buffet Froid...
O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Compare Jack's reaction to snarky Will in Coquilles...
- Will: You're the head of the behavioural science unit, Jack. Why don't you come up with your own answers if you don't like mine?Jack: I DID NOT HEAR THAT. DID I?
- Jack: I just want to be careful with you. We don't want to break you here. Is that what's happening? Have I broken you? Will: Do you have anyone that does this better unbroken than I do broken?Jack: *quietly* Fear makes you rude, Will.
I'm not sure if it count as 'ironic,' but Will's states that he has, "a habit of collecting strays," echoes Alana in an earlier episode with regards to his relationship with Abigail Hobbs. Perhaps a Call-Back?
Finally, awkward heart-warming moment? When Jack hypothesises that the FBI job gives Will some 'stability' in life...
- Will: Stability requires strong foundations, Jack. My moorings are built on sand-Jack: I am not sand! I am bedrock! When you doubt yourself, you don't have to doubt me too.
How would you define lines that are lifted from later films? For example, in the Coquilles episode when Hannibal, after sniffing Graham, complains that his aftershave reminds him of those that are sold with a ship on the bottle? That line was used either in Manhunter or Silence of the Lambs, when Hannibal spoke to either Graham or Starling from his prison cell.
Just because you can't prove it, doesn't mean it isn't true Hide / Show RepliesPossible addition to the Foregone Conclusion section - Hannibal is suggested to have taken various human parts and eaten them, as per the other adaptions, but we don't actually see him do anything that would definitively pin him as a murderer with the possible exception of warning a fellow killer that the FBI are onto him and a few unorthodox methods. There are definitely sinister overtones whenever he prepares or eats food, but nothing concrete. Until Episode 6, aptly called Entrée, where we see him murder someone in a flashback. The fact that the team were hunting the Chesapeake Ripper would set off alarm bells in the minds of the fans of the Hannibal stories.
Why cut the Paparazzi trope? It fits Lounds quite well.

Why is everyone saying Hannigram became canon in the final episode? I thought Will tried to kill Hannibal by killing himself with him.
