Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

The entries definitely require rewording, but they're not inaccurate, so while calling them Flame Bait might not be entirely wrong, deleting it completely is. The rest of their edits just seem to be wording changes, so these are an outlier, if a noticeable one.
But yes, you are correct that Antifa is neither a group nor has been convicted of "violent crimes", as far as I know. Plus, the entry in question was calling out the alt-right, not the right as a whole, so it's an exaggerated argument.
Edited by STARCRUSHER99^ Thanks about that. I'll try readd the entries on ''The Critic with a far more neutral writeup.
EDIT: It's been done.
Edited by SkylaNoivernThe same troper also removed an Unfortunate Implications entry on YMMV.Far Cry 5 with the edit reason: "As stated in under Eight Point Eight and What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?, the game was not crafted to be a critique. Rock, Paper, Shotgun being upset that the game doesn't do that isn't Unfortunate Implications". The issue is, the game being a critique is not only irrelevant but actually the point — the UI entry was arguing that by ignoring the historic fascism, racism and anti-semitism of right-wing militias, the game was unintentionally white-washing those sorts of extremists.
There's also their edit on YMMV.Rising Tides, which is almost heavy-handed in its right-leaning biases. For example, the entry for Author's Saving Throw says: "There are points in the book that establish green initiatives without resorting to 'climate change' as some catch all." The Base-Breaking Character entry portrays a character as "whiny", a "hypocrite" and with an "It's All About Me" attitude — but I'm skeptical if any of this is true because the character in question seems to be fighting against climate change that has had an immediate impact on the people in her community.
On the same page, the Designated Hero entries portray the same character as being a Soapbox Sadie and another as being a apparently unheroic by stating that businesses that don't adopt green policies deserve to go out of business.
And lastly, the Unintentionally Unsympathetic entry on the page seems to run afoul of climate change "both-sidesing", such as implying that a character taking a clear side on climate change (an issue that is hard fact except for people with political agendas) is wrong. There's also a bunch of pretty spotty stuff about economics and ecology which can't really be parsed out.
Edited by NubianSatyressYeah this seems super weird. Something's definitely up here.

The user DD44Handgun appears to be troping with some sort of agenda. On February 15th, they edited the YMMV page on The Critic to remove any mention of political correctness with the description "One-sided obvious Flame Bait in Values Dissonance, assuming all criticism of political correctness is white supremacist/internet trolling. Values Resonance is also vague". While the language in the deleted entries might be too casual, I fail to see how one-sided either is, as its simply describing why jokes about political correctness may not have aged well due to how some far-right leaning individuals tend to latch onto the term. The Values Resonance thing also didn't seem so vague to me.
I also noticed DD44 removed an entry on Values Dissonance about Bioshock Infinite while leaving a discussion thread about it on December 30th 2020. While he removed it for being too early (something in his defense), he left this in the description:
"B.) The blase attitude of "Antifa good, right wing bad" is pretty poorly written and portrays a group that has been convicted of numerous crimes, including violent ones.
I think it's written very poorly and ham-fistedly, and probably needs a round of edits."
Again, unsure how it was ham-fisted or poorly-written, since it was simply describing how something didn't age well. The claim that Antifa has been convicted for numerous crimes is also rather vague - I'm not from the US, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but I haven't much evidence to suggest they've committed any crimes. The claim that they're a group is also false, as is the claim they've committed violent crimes, which I couldn't find anything on.
I just found their edits a bit suspicious, so I thought I'd point them out here.
