running a modern fantasy choose your own adventure about an elf going through a bunch of magic adventure BS just trying to get to work. Its over on forum games. its pretty open ended, although I have a basic story outline, but you can literally input any command you like. no art at the moment, but I'll probably put in images occasionally if I feel its called for or if I don't know how to describe something.

I guess I posted this in Music but not here: I made an EP and I guess one could describe it as "indie pop"? It's the first thing I've done where the focus is on vocals/lyrics instead of instrumentals.

Ah, that takes me back. Just like you, I dearly miss what Neopets was. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible after the Jumpstart acquisition, until the death of flash when I couldn't deny any longer that the people left actually developing the site lacked at least either the skill or numbers to bring the game to modern standards and the executives would never be willing to make the needed investment in staff and infrastructure.

Over the preceding week I took part in the "O2A2" ("Only One of Any Asset") visual-novel game-jam!
In short—and glossing over various nuances and specifics—the idea was to make a visual novel within the following restrictions:
- Only one each of:
- Background
- Sprite
- Music / ambient file
- Sound-effect file
- Menu background
- And a script of no more than one thousand words
My entry, then, is "A Tale Under Earth", a short horror VN. It sees you descending into a barrow-tomb—and thence attempting to survive its malign occupant.
