"I wouldn't trust you if you were to give me a huge mansion and a thousand dollars a day to live on-which is the least pennance you owe me; even if I were to take it as guilt on your part, not a trick. Not even if you were to give your daughter to me in pledge of marriage; no, not even if you yourself were to submit to me as my wife, in front of God and all these witnesses would I trust you. I wouldn't accept a glass of water from you if I were on fire, nor a crust of bread if I were starving. If you are truly sorry, you and your vile minions will leave me in peace."

Now everyone pat me on the back and tell me how clever I am!When the tears came out, it was like an emotional dam had burst. She couldn't hold them back. All her bottled emotions from the day's events... and a few other days for good measure... came flooding out at once.
Eddie pulled her closer. She found herself sobbing into his chest. There was no chance for a coherent sentence to come out anymore. Any time she tried to talk, it came out as muffled blubbering. It wasn't how she ever wanted him to see her- not just crumbling, but outright cracked. She'd survived many things over the years. From kidnappings, to curses, to a bloody stab-wound.
She'd tried to be strong about it, and usually it worked. But there was one thing she'd never been able to handle, and it was admitting she wasn't really all that strong.
This whole scene was a bit of a doozy, but I'm particularly proud of this moment.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness"The mysterious Mother Milladen frustrates me again"
My troper wallI, unsurprisingly, never heard back from the BBC - I expect they get loads of Who scripts unsolicited - but the closing line of mine had Ace reminding the Doctor somewhere the tea was getting cold. She repeated 7s closing to remind the Doctor to keep doing what they do.
"Hello, Momma," She introduced herself.
"Hello, Antoine," I replied.
"I'm hungry."
"Didn't I just tell you to not complain about being hungry?"
"That was a few hours ago."
"J-Just...Leave me alone for now, please."
For context, Antoine was being picky about her food, so her mom (the protagonist) said she won’t feed her anything till evening time. Then the protag took a several hour-long nap and woke up.
Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember.""We're like Romeo and Juliet."
"You know that story ends with both of them dead, right?"
kind of basic, I know. but I thought it was funny.
It’s not about the desti-something, it’s about the whatever."Oh please, stop with the farce." Rogin stated. The black haired, black armored competitor was fair of face, lean, and less brawny than most of the other competitors. A black knight competing for the crown was something not often seen.
A tilt of the robotic features before a whirring noise.
The long hallway, the walls tall and imposing, were all outfitted with blank white colors. Tiny, stifled windows lined the very tops of the walls, letting in short beams of light on long, blood red carpets.
Elaborate.
"You observe," Rogin stated, and even as a sight precipitating laser deployment was utilized he knew ultimately the result would've been a far too revealing and far too public cover up. Too many other competitors watching in the hallway. "I know it. You watch us, but you don't simply log. You don't just obey the King's dictates. You evaluate. You judge us. You peer down at us with disdain. You begrudge us. You look at those of us who reject the system put in place by the old king with hate in those eyes of yours. Do I lie? I see your body language. I see your quiet glare..."
Whirring noises and electric buzzing. The assembled robots moved quickly and surrounded Rogin and the lead guard machine, cutting them off from the contestants with a wall of chirping, buzzing machinery. Nothing would be heard from inside that cone of metal.
Rogin whispered, "Who. Are. You?"
The tall defense robot spoke, in a manner more human than it had ever sounded before, "I...am Justin Henderson. Once a human like you. Now, I am the throne. If you have fingers, Syr Rogin, tell me, do you feel each one individually?"
"Of course I do." Rogin answered tersely. Not even surprised in the least by the reveal. "So you've given me your true name. But then, who is Justin Henderson? More to the point, what does he want?"
"All the robots across this colonized planet, so far from Earth, all are like my fingers, hands, eyes and arms. With a thousand fingers, I grip and articulate the planet. I feel with each digit and I see with every eye. There is nothing I do not see. No individual who is born does so outside my eyesight. I see you grow, learn, fight, copulate, age, wither, and die - and then I cultivate the next generation. Technology was not taken away. No - technology chooses your monarchs. I guarantee continuance. I guarantee the perpetuation of status quo est deus. For all are reflections of the governance I feel you deserve. And I do hate all of you. So I give you sufferance - I give you meaningless competition - and I give you senseless, unending misery. How does that make you feel, Syr Rogin?"
"Motivated." The robot representing Henderson's will began to spark and malfunction.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP."Your reputation precedes you." Panther said, impressed. "Nobody said anything about the contents of these crates."
"It wasn't that hard." The Wraith said casually. She walked over to the crate the Blade Battalion soldiers were wheeling. "It glows purple and is important enough for you to show up personally. There aren't a lot of things that do that. Just one, actually." She pulled the lid off the crate to reveal, of course, vibranium. And a lot of it.
I don't know why I like this so much.

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another.""To calm her butterflies, she glanced back outside. Letdown was running in circles, enjoying the fresh air, at least for now. She smiled a little. His life must've been so much fun. A dog didn't have things to stress about. A dog just lived."
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe Demonic Beast tossed a boulder in the general direction of where the Black Eagles had last been. It missed and flew over their heads, slamming into the north bridge and destroying it. Hubert flinched.
"Not to worry, there is still another bridge." The west bridge was promptly destroyed by another flying boulder.
"Hubie." Dorothea said.
"Yes?"
"Shut up."
Another one of those darlings I ended up killing, because the exposition it was part of was better scattered a bit more:

Eddie paused the show and glanced up at him. "Oh, just some weird cartoon. See, the purple one's brother is getting married, but he didn't tell her, and his fiancee is acting really..." He stopped, realizing that everyone was looking at him oddly. "What?"
Ben laughed. "I think my little cousin watches that show, but I could've sworn that one character had wings."
"Dude, no. She's a unicorn, why would she have wings?"
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness"It's not fair." Byleth whined, slumping over her desk.

Now everyone pat me on the back and tell me how clever I am!Lucy sat staring up at the sign. The road to Gabriel was right, opposite was the road to Gary. She didn’t need the sign to tell her. She knew the route she should take.
And then she decides to Take a Third Option .

"If you wanted me dead you should have brought every demon in the Nine Hells to your side, now you shall die in the name of the Seven Goddesses!" -Saint Irene to the Archdevil Azernath
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindFor the record, I’m paraphrasing
“My father and brother, and probably others, are dead thanks to you. You abuse your wife and daughter, you’re trying to control everyone’s minds! I will never help you. Got. It. Memorized?”
-Jackie Syren to Craren Doss
She proceeds to be locked up for a few weeks until she gets busted out.
Its a single comment from a secondary character; the dad of Izzy (main character), Jack. He is a Yorkshireman who is married to a French woman. When Alex (other main character) asks how they met, Jack tells how he was in Suez during the Crisis
"...and I ended up fighting alongside the Frogs- don’t tell Claudette I said Frog."
This bluff call-a-spade-a-spade Yorkshireman doesn't want his petit wife to know he used the word 'Frog' about her countrymen.

Sorry to double post, but I have just written something that is making me giggle.
Alex has bought a house that needs decoration. It is in Cardiff in 2004, as he has a new job at BBC Cardiff. The stage crew for the programme is helping him decorate when his best mate turns up.
"Given I know who painted it, it's not surprising it looks bigger on the inside."
