I think about what Pokemon the anime mane charters should have had to mutch, and despite being one of the few mega-evolving rock types, having sand stream and, Brock having one in Masters I just can't give Brock a Tyranatar.

I know it's not a rock type but Steelix is canon. Adaption will make you perceive establish characters differently. It's not just Brock, Tyranitar has associated itself with antagonists on multiple occasions.

Is it normal for the AI bot of Labyrinth (the Twilight Struggle type card game, not the David Bowie movie) to kick my ass 7 out of 8 times on the lowest difficulty?

The amount of people who I STILL see compare COVID-19 to a "little flu" when 110+ million people have been infected worldwide is making me so pissed I NEED to vent.

In the United States, more people have died in a single day than in 167 9/11s combined. I want people to think about that for a second. If September 11th was repeated 166 times, the death toll still wouldn't top that of COVID.

And to the anti-maskers, those who still refuse to wear a mask because of their conspiracy bullshit:

You may not understand what it's like to lose someone to COVID, and neither will I, but I have seen plenty of stories online about how other people have lost their loved ones to it. It's something that will stay with you for a long, long time.

Speaking as someone whose uncle caught COVID (and fortunately recovered) because of an anti-masker, fuck you from the bottom of my heart.

Svengoolie’s joke about Superman accidentally overcooking his neighbor’s barbecue made me remember that part, which I can still remember after all these years.

In that one episode of one of the TV series, Superman went to Lois’s house for a nice and romantic dinner. He used his heat vision to cook the roast they were going to have for their main course. But then, a couple of bad guys stood outside the house and held up some red kryptonite. Then no thanks to that, Superman’s heat vision went out of control, and he accidentally set the kitchen on fire.

I don't think I'd be able to sit through Gurren Lagann with an open mind and enjoy myself. I believe that I have become too cynical and paranoid of the media I consume (especially anime).

OK, I'm not the first one to do this, and I'm sorry, but I must ask you:

Almost every time you come into this thread, you post about how you can't enjoy the things you like anymore because this and that reviewer said that your likes were stupid. You've even admitted that you binge negative reviews, if I'm not mistaken.

Why do you care so much about some Joe Schmoe on the Internet thinks about the stuff you like, and why do you seek it out? It seriously sounds like it's not doing your mental health any good.

Someone saying that the things you like are objectively bad and that you're an idiot and a sheep for liking them isn't constructive. Everything has flaws and it's important to keep that in mind, because blindly defending something is just as bad as blindly disliking something. But just because a work is flawed doesn't mean you have to find it bad. Sometimes, I curse Yahtzee, because while he may not have been the first, he certainly contributed to this whole Caustic Critic thing where being a critic = "I don't like this thing that other people like, and if you like it I'll think less of you as a human being." Ultimately, critics have their own biases, and their reviews shouldn't be taken as gospel.

If I sound accusatory, I apologize, but I am a bit concerned about this tendency of yours. There's nothing wrong with liking the things you like,^note I mean, unless it's something that ''is'' objectively bad, like inflicting pain and suffering on others, but that's me being nitpicky. and I really think you should try to stop seeking negativity out. It doesn't sound healthy.
