If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

TIL in 2005, Mc Donald's had an ad campaign saying "I'd hit it" about a double cheeseburger, not knowing the slang meant they wanted to have sex with the cheeseburger

I loled at the mental image of someone having sex with a cheeseburger shaped person

Holy shit. My favorite movie is playing in this independent theater near me in March. I'm seriously considering going.

Inside Llewyn Davis. I just searched it cause I love the folk songs in it and a showtime popped up. I was so shocked.

Thanks. It's an hour away and playing on a Thursday night but I really don't care. This film means so much to me. It always cheers me up and I love the music in it.

Edit: I just bought a ticket. I'm so excited!

Well, it's almost 20th anniversary of Ground Control

...a game, in which its expansion and the sequel ended on cliffhangers, unresolved plots. That most likely will never be resolved. That is one of the biggest bummers.

Anyone else have any game they like that's old but never got resolved and is almost forgotten today? Not just game...any piece from any medium.

Well the Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain franchise, but the biggest one is from a series that I never read: the manga Phoenix, by Osamu Tekusa, codifier of the modern manga and a comic book genius on the level of Moebius and Jack Kirby, it was intended as his Magnum Opus but he passed away before he had a chance to finish it.

I still haven't decided which is better... to be the leader of a corrupt system or to be separate from it entirely...

If you're in charge of it you can at least make changes. Unless powers that be demand that you do not.

Technology is wonderful! Only just now I discovered there are watch phones! You can call someone from your wrist like if you were a super-spy.

Of course, me being the poor guy I am never noticed until today.

Political compass memes are drawn so that Lib-right always looks like the punchline.

That wasn't intentional, was it...

I feel like there's a trope about the emotional malaise you feel about binging a series that's already over, or near over, and you don't get that kind of anticipation other people got when they watched it while it was still airing weekly.

That space in between episodes while you're waiting for the next one changes your perception of the thing. Streaming it all at once on the other hand makes you miss out on that build-up.

Man, it'd be cool if Digital Extremes put a skin as a reference to MDK's coil suit.

I always thought it'd fit into the Warframe setting, heh

Ironically, a couple websites I looked at said it's a good one for beginners.

Speaking of classical music, maybe I’m just biased since it’s one of my favorite movies, but I think Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue” sounds better when played by an orchestra than on a pipe organ.

I think my favorite official lyric video by any band would be "Hell Has No Mercy" by The 69 Eyes. Not only is the song pretty kickass, but the video has the beautiful Dani Divine being sexy as hell.

As I watch the movie Son of Kong thanks to Svengoolie, one part got me wondering: is it my imagination or does the leading lady sound a bit like Snow White?
