Damn it, I started a new conlang a few days ago and still can't decide on a phonology.

I feel like everybody just skipped what Bev said. People can leave the forums. I missed Tropes, obviously, he’s one of the best people on the forums, but we don’t need to complain about it. People have lives outside of these forums.

I agree. I wasn't really worried, I knew Tropes was just doing other stuff.

Say, Alien; was it you who asked me about my conlang a while back? I can't remember.

I asked whether or not you had a phonology for it.

Ah yes, that was it! I'm still not sure if what I've come up with so far qualifies as a proper phonology; how much of it do you need to have before you can say 'yes, I have that'? :V

First you need to decide on all of the sounds in the language. Then you need to decide which sounds are meaningful and which are just different pronunciations of other sounds. Then you need to decide when those different pronunciations should be used. Then you need to decide which sounds are allowed together. Then you have your phonology.

I think I know what you mean... maybe.

One thing I do know is that Templik is very particular; if you see something once, it's always, always pronounced the same way. 'A' is always like 'at', 'E' is always like 'bet', 'Ai' is always like 'Sai', and so on (vowel sounds like 'Ai', 'Eh', or 'Oi' have their own characters in Tempnik script, meaning that words are always spelled phonetically, pretty much).

@Pres: Technically there's still just Max and Mia, but I'm assuming that any future female Machokes/Machamps will play by this.

In unrelated news, that leitmotif for tropers thing Puma and Revaryk have on their pages is pretty neat. I think I might make my own list of troper leitmotifs... if they don't mind me stealing their ideas :P

I have the music finished, but I still need footage to use in the accompanying title sequence. If anyone has any links to YouTube videos with some thematic link to the show, if that makes sense, that would be great.
