During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Yeah, the EP clarities that he willingly sacrifices many of his own Reploids and seems overall more like a Mad Scientist obsessed with pushing the Reploids to their full potential to satisfy his curiosity.

You've made a number of these posts and I don't understand what musing over things we've already agreed upon or pointing out that it, like anything else, could have a CM in the future does to help forward the thread?

The original Injun Joe was voted down because he wasn't heinous enough, if that question hasn't been answered already. That's the same with every version of Joe that's come through here—the original, the Disney live-action one, the animated version where he was a bear for some reason...
I'd give a very, very weak yes to this version of Joe. If he keeps killing people on top of his deeds in the original story, that's probably just enough to nudge him over.

If I recall correctly, the 2000 animated film (the one where he's a bear), had him pretty heinous with a couple of onscreen murders and the attempted murder of a bunch of kids. But that's on my list of one of my most hated films, so I'm not touching it with a ten-foot-pole.

Hey guys, so I've been watching Fire Force and after discussing him with erazor there is one character that I feel like needs to be cut. That character of course is Setsuo Miyamoto. I guess the reason why he did got approved a while back was that he is said to be a Serial Killer. That said the problem with that we never see the bodies of his victims nor are we given the number of people that Setsuo kills. Plus all he does onscreen is kill a total of THREE people onscreen in the courthouse and threatens to burn people in the city, which is not even remotely heinous enough within this series given that the member White-Clad have also burned countless innocent people alive by turning them into internals, but have a far higher body than Setsuo with Sumire and Rekka (the latter of whom I am considering to EP) even experimenting on children, and that's not even getting to their plans to turn earth into a sun which would destroy the planet and kill everyone in it. With all of these atrocities stacked against Setsuo, I honestly don't see him as really unique or heinous in the grand scale of the setting, and I am requesting him to be cut ASAP.

EDIT: Similarly, as we discussed, I'm fine with a cut-and-switch proposal starring Rekka, who pretty much does actual serial-killing on top of children experimentation without having the resources of his higher-ups in the White-Clad such as Sumire.
