During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Bunny Games....yeah, that one's too much of a schlock film to invest time in. Though speaking of which, one of the possible cuts I actually had in mind was Mr. Bear. It is an actual story with a plot, but there doesn't seem to be much of a reason as to why Mr. Bear does what he does. Granted he is a Satanist and all, but the descriptions of the many methods that he tortures and maims children in the story don't really feel like they have a legitimate reason for being there. That doesn't help that the story is incomplete and is likely to never be complete and that it was recently deleted from the Creepypasta Wiki.

it's been a few years since i read 1999, but I'm pretty sure it is.
@Kylo: Well yeah there's that. Basically for a company that we originally said "You'd better have a good reason for proposing an example from this company." it sure does have a lot of horrible characters. And it's only going to grow when Disney inevitably buys a Video game company. My money's on Square Enix.
Anyway, I'm actually surprised that Criminal Minds doesn't have at least one world ending person who worships The Devil and sends demons to destroy the world.
I still think Berserk is probably the anime/manga with the most fucked up heinous standard, considering nearly every example has violated a child. I mean at least Death in some manga is a kind of mercy.

Reading the actual story before it got removed....his motivation is really flimsy. His final act with the children reflects his initial plan, but everything else? Comes off as only being shock for the sake of it.
It reads more like the ramblings of a mad man than a legitimate motive.

My main issue that he otherwise lacks characterization. At least that is what I took out of the story.
Apparently, the original EP was made by Camberf. Doesn't really add much, but I feel that should be mentioned.

So quick question for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. We determined that in Part 5 that Diavolo and Cioccolata were the keepers which I completely agree with. What about Secco considering he works with Cioccolata as a "partner" and is the one filming the whole murders Cioccolata causes? They're both just as bad as one another.

I would say Secco is still too passive to count, he's an accomplice to Cioccolata but doesn't personally do much except film their crimes. He's vile but not as bad as Cioccolata imo.
I'm fine cutting Mr. Bear. More effort was definitely put into his story than other creepypasta characters but it is basically pure shock value.

I picked up my copy of Multiversity from the library today. In a matter of weeks, I might have incarnations of Darkseid, Brainiac, AND Vandal Savage, 3 of DC's Big 4 CMs (Joker's the 4th; I got him last year).

And just putting this one out there. And other movie SpookyRice helped turned me onto was Teeth, which wasn't too distubing IMO and I genuinely enjoyed it. Main villain is absolute garbage but despite being an abusive, pseodu incestous creep, there's like three others and there's a slight Black Comedy angle in its use of Groin Attacks. Ironically the only other character to have a body count in a movie that barley has one.
And this other movie I was shown from that channel The Bunny Game which actually has a Serial Killer, but going by the review alone the movie is too much shock schlock and some of the sex and injuries in the movie are authentic.
