And agreed that no one in Aquaman counts, though I'm kinda disappointed that Black Manta is motivated by daddy issues since, IMO, he's at his best when he's a ridiculously petty psycho going to obsessive, almost darkly hilarious lengths to get under Aquaman's skin for absolutely no reason. Still a solid movie, though.

The writers must've taken a page from the New 52 regarding Manta considering both are disqualified due to the same factor.

Took a look at the To-Do list and I'm going to deconfirm a few of them since I've already checked these series.

Zobek, has a genuine friendship with Gabriel at the end of the DLC and doesn't stack much to Lucifer since he's responsible for all his actions.

De Loco, raving lunatic with a psycho streak... that's also very incompetent (Couldn't kill Alfonso with his trap even when he was crush by his monster), doesn't have a visible body count and really doesn't come close to our candidate and the final villain who also doesn't count. And no, resource is not a problem since he has the same position as both characters.

Needles Kane, this version of Sweet Tooth had a severe case of mental health issues, and establish that he had a good enough relationship with his surviving son that he took his place after his karma. Dollface is probably someone who'll count though, maybe I could do the EP if you allow me to Elfen.

Considering that SEGA announced (?) a Special for Scarlet Dawn, I think that Thornheart will appear once again. In that case, we'll have to expand his entry.

I was just browsing the wiki like I often do in my spare time and came to the classic piece of literature Lord of the Flies. It's Complete Monster entry for Roger essentially boils down to him committing only one actual murder. Granted he also throws rocks at little kids, but I don't remember Roger's actions reaching Torture Technician levels that the entry implies.

I feel that our standards have risen overtime, so I don't really know if Roger meets the baseline we've set up. Just a few days ago we voted down a candidate because he only "commits one murder." I know people might get defensive over classic literature like this and its infamous depiction of human savagery, but Roger just doesn't stand out to me compared to all the other characters I've seen come through here.

Roger seems VERY low on resources and seems to threatan to do alot worse, with no indication he's bluffing

Now, it's been two weeks, so...

What's the work?

Bumblebee is sort of a continuity reboot/prequel to the Transformers series...the premise? Cybertron is undergoing a massive civil war and the bad guys win. The Autobot resistance is crushed, and the survivors are left to flee across the galaxy. One young soldier, who will later be known as Bumblebee ends up on earth, his memory and voice destroyed by the Decepticon Blitzwing. Bee ends up with a girl named Charlie, who he bonds closely with...unfortunately, the war spills out onto earth, with Decepticons hunting Bee to gain the location of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime...enter our Big Bad Duumvirate:Shatter and Dropkick.

Who are they?

Shatter is a female Decepticon, Dropkick her vicious male partner. Shatter is the brain, Dropkick is the brawn. Introduced having hunted down an Autobot named Cliffjumper, Shatter presides over Dropkick's torture of him, interrogating him about Optimus's location. Locating Bee's signal, Shatter decides they don't need Cliff anymore and has Dropkick slice their captive in half after mocking him over the manner of his death. Crashing upon earth, the two end up in Texas by a few humans.

Deciding these are 'primitive organics,' Dropkick proceeds to...liquify one bystander with a blast, gloating that he 'likes how they pop' as a result. Shatter directs him to California as they travel, seeking Bee. Now, Shatter? Locates the military and presents herself and Dropkick as peacekeepers hunting a deadly criminal to receive access to human tech and satellites, which will help lead to the creation of the internet...of course, Shatter and Dropkick are less than forthcoming with the humans on their intentions. Bee ends up captured and once again, the two decepticons brutally torture and beat him, as the doctor who's been assisting them listens in...Shatter reveals her intention is no longer just to find and kill Optimus Prime to demoralize the Autobots, nope...they want earth.

Shatter and Dropkick? Are going to use the satellites, broadcast a signal to the rest of the Decepticons and call them down....and raze earth to cinders, killing all the humans. Shatter sadistically thanks the doctor for his help...before Dropkick blasts him into fluids as well. In the ensuing battle, the two Decepticons attempt to use the satellite and call down their fellows. Bee arrives with Charlie also there, leading to a fight as Bee engages Dropkick, outsmarting him and binding him with a chain as he transforms, before yanking it to rip Dropkick apart. Shatter, enraged, plans on killing Bee and Charlie....Bee grabs her and blows up the nearby damn...throwing Shatter in front of a crashing ship, that smashes her to paste against the opposite end of the place, finishing her and saving the earth.

Heinous standard?

Pretty damn bad, oddly enough. with a continuity reboot, they don't need to be compared to other major villain, and neither really overshadows the other. Theyr'e a nasty duo working in conjunction, with Dropkick functioning as sadistic muscle who loves his job. Torture, murder, attempted killing of all humans? Even worse is how they're basically Decepticon mooks given a chance to be as evil as they can possibly be. Pass.

Mitigating Qualities?

Nothing to speak of. Interestingly, they have personalities. Dropkick is mostly a sadistic brute there, but one funny bit? To complete her ruse at helping humans, Shatter kneels to them and indicates Dropkick do the same. He does so, but grumbles about how humiliating it is. Shatter also displays a nasty sense of humor, telling Cliffjumper during his torture and execution that he 'deserves a better death' even as she has Dropkick finish him off.

But no care for one another. They function as a duo, but when Dropkick dies, Shatter doesn't even comment on it, ignoring it completely. They're both unquestioningly vicious, sadistic and consider humans far beneath them with Dropkick only enjoying how humans die when he blasts them into fluid. And they're going far out of their way to unnecessarily wipe out humanity in the meanwhile.

Conclusion?

Yea to the duo.

Yea to the above and I recently watched the Twisted Metal reboot versions of Dollface and Needles Kane... I'm going to be fairly disagree with Newton regarding his mental issues although moral agency issues? I think I'm going to be blunt there regarding that because Needles Kane is another split personality who took Marcus Kane and form his own individual as far as I recall. That and I saw the cutscenes, I don't recall that he has a surviving son that he has a relationship with.

Also, for Dollface... This is a rather tough one because she had to face a pretty stiff competition with Needles Kane who are both fucking serial killers with the latter massacring everybody on a hospital to find his daughter. I could EP Dollface and Needles Kane if you guys want, but I think I'll have a serious challenge regarding this one.

EDIT: Also, hearing the Warren Zevon's song, I'm uncomfortable to put that example up due to the upbeat tone of the song despite the lyrics is rather dark...

to Bumblebee duo. Now for my first candidate of 2019. Pretty special for me since this film is from my country.

What is the work? Friendly Beast (originally O Animal Cordial) is a 2018 Brazilian thriller surrounding a series of events happening inside a restaurant during late-night hours, which is kicked off by an armed robbery gone-wrong; one of the two robbers goes as far as to molest a female client before being shot by the owner. You are likely expecting the other robber to be our candidate for today, but surprise! Our candidate is the owner of the restaurant, the Villain Protagonist who manages to be even worse.

Who is he? One of the most chilling and realistic depictions of a sociopath that i have seen in a while, Inácio is an emotionless human being and a ticking time-bomb just waiting to go off. Caring more about himself and his restaurant than his own employees; he even fires two of them mere moments before the robbery happens because they are tired of him forcing them to work late. After shooting the robber who had molested one of his clients, Veronica, Inácio simply decides to kidnap all of the people inside by keeping them restrained with tapes, except for his accomplice Sarah who is madly in love with him, fearing they could ruin his reputation, and also because he is convinced that his best employee, Djair, who is homosexual, had plotted against him. When Veronica tries to escape, Inácio shoots the woman who had just been molested, killing her.

Taking Djair and the other robber to be interrogated, Inácio slits the robber's throat and informs Djair that he will frame him for the murders, calling him a "faggot" for resisting and removing his long hair to humiliate him even further. A client who happens to be a police officer tries to reason with Inácio, explaining how he also had killed many criminals while on-duty before and that this life of death is not for him; instead of learning a lesson, Inácio is thrilled to hear that he once had punched a man to death, and gives a monologue about how he reminds him of his father, and how nobody attended his funeral, "teaching" the police officer that his life means nothing and he is already a "ghost" to other people.

Throwing all of his chances of redemption in the trash, Inásio beats the man to death while informing the poor guy that he didn't understand him, he is "who he wants to be". After killing the police officer, Inácio reveals his plan to Sarah and how he will get away with everything: He will serve the bodies to his own clients, adding that he never felt so better. Deciding to kill Veronica's husband next and test Sarah at the same time, Inácio gives her a toy pistol gun and orders her to kill the man; when she aims the gun at him instead, Inácio shoots the man himself and stabs her with a stiletto. Going after Djair, Inácio is finally subdued by him, who proceeds to restrain Inácio. Still alive and breathing, Sarah has a brief conversation with Inácio in which she asks him why didn't he finished her off, Inácio replies by saying that he still needs her. Possibly realizing that Inácio sees her as nothing more than an object, Sarah stabs him to death, ending all of this nightmare once and for all.

Mitigating Factors? Nope, he has a wife, but he treats her like trash and cheats on her with Sarah. He also never shows any signs of love for his late father, talking about his tragic death like it was nothing for him.

Heinous? Tormenting his employees and killing his clients, including a woman who had been molested minutes before her death, and planning on cooking the remains of his victims just to save his reputation? That's pretty nasty, if you ask me.

Conclusion?
