During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard

Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

- Savanti Romero, who would become one of the most powerful recurring foes the Turtles ever faced, started off as an assistant to Lord Simultaneous, a powerful wizard that controls the flow of time. Growing jealous of Simultaneous, Romero attempts to erase him from time. However, Simultaneous discovers Romero's treachery and transforms him into a goat demon before banishing him to 13th century Europe, where Romero takes over a village and makes it into his own fiefdom. Simultaneous's new assistant, Renet, accidentally teleports herself and the Turtles to Romero's village, where Romero manages to steals Simultaneous's time scepter from Renet. After the villagers rebel against Romero, Romero uses the scepter's power to create an army of the undead and orders them to slaughter the rebelling villagers. Simultaneous appears and banishes Romero to the Cretaceous period. Later, Romero appears, obsessed with revenge, and lures Renet and the Turtles to the Cretaceous period. After defeating Renet and the Turtles, Romero reveals his new plan: To sacrifice Renet as part of a spell that will cause the comet that wipes out the dinosaurs to miss Earth, causing humanity to cease to exist. The Turtles defeat Romero and he seems to have died, but he was merely frozen in time and reemerges in 12th century Japan. There, Romero attempts to build a new empire and plans to wipe out any Japanese clans that oppose him, which wipes out their descendants in the present. The Turtles travel to medieval Japan and defeat Romero again. After a long absence, Romero appears again, traveling to limbo and planning to use an artifact called the Aga-Moo-Tou to make himself into a god and remake reality in his own image.
Rewrite
- Savanti Romero was once Lord Simultaneous' assistant who developed a lust for power, eventually trying to erase Simultaneous from existence. Banished to the 13th century, Savanti turns a village into his domain and attempts to use Simultaneous' time sceptre to raise an army of the undead and have them slaughter all who opposes him. In the Cretaceous period, Savanti, consumed with revenge lures Renet and the turtles into a trap and attempts to sacrifice her as part of a spell that would cause the comet that killed the dinosaurs to miss, erasing countless lives. Savanti later appears in 12th century Japan trying to build himself a new empire and wiping out anyone that opposes him, knowing that it would erase their descendants as well. Reappearing after a long absence, Savanti attempts to use an ancient artifact to allow him to become a god and remake creation in his own twisted image.
Thoughts? Manage to cut down by around 120 words while keeping the meat of his crimes intact.

Kidnapping on its own is not CM material. At least guys like Chrysalis and Sombra have actually attempted murder.
Alright it’s been two weeks since Cyberpunk: Edgerunners came out, nobody counts.
Faraday is a big time backstabber who sells out the crew and gets most of the main characters killed, even killing kiwi after she betrayed the crew so that he can reach the top of Arasaka, but frankly he simply isn’t heinous enough to qualify, nothing about him really pushes him above the standard of the cyberpunk series, especially since it’s canon to the game with the likes of Adam smasher.
Jimmy kurosaki mind rapes David by making him relive the memory of the previous holder of his sandevistan James Norris as well as getting enjoyment out of making XBD’s of cyberattacks, but like faraday he doesn’t manage to reach the standard as he only has one victim and there’s nothing to establish him doing this to others.
I also looked into some minor characters such as the scientists who used Lucy and other kids for hacking which ended up getting them killed, but the scientists who were responsible have no characterization and none of them are given a name.
It’s a great show, but unfortunately no keepers

- Ex Mutants #1-3: Sluggo is the mutant tyrant of Sluggtown, running his town through enslavement of other mutants. Any slave under his role are put to hard labor building monuments of himself to satiate his ego, given collars that explode their heads off for any mistake they could make. In other cases, he puts his slaves in Gladiator Games to fight or killed by monsters to the death for his amusement, something he once done to the titular heroes in the past. Sluggo, growing tired of the Ex-Mutants constant interference, hires thugs to use a mind control device on three of the Ex-Mutant members in order to have them kill in the arena and later try to have them murder their own friends: Once this failed, he leaves his right-hand man to die to preserve his own life.

We put MLP as a whole on the Never Again list since none of them save Cosmos even breaches the baseline heinousness standard, and the character in question seems to have the same problem.
