Content Violations Review: Visual Novel.Chu Sin Gura 46 Plus 1

Ok, so this is admittedly a bit of a "grey area" kind of situation, but bear with me. Like Koihime†Musou before it, this is a Japanese-produced Historical Fiction Visual Novel about a modern-day male OC being timejumped to an alternate history where several male historical figures from a period in Asian history are genderswapped - in this case, it's The 47 Ronin who recieve this distinction. Most of the genderswapped characters are overly sexualized, with a few being paedobait, and unless my memory is failing me, there's quite a bit of gore as well, due to most of the fight scenes involving sword combat. I was pretty surprised when I didn't find this under Administrivia.The Content Policy given its rather adult nature, so I'm reporting this to see what, if anything, should be done with this page.

This is my first post in this section but I've read some of the discussions in the morgue. After a quick look at the trope page, I'm voting to keep. It doesn't sound much worse than something like Fate Grand Order (a popular mobile game that's never come up before). The Fate Series in general has a tendency to sexualize gender bent historical and mythical figures but only Fate Kaleid's Hot Springs Episode has had any issues here (that's a discussion I wish I was a part of since I'm a fan of that anime) ...

We've also kept controversial anime with some sexual content and lots of Gorn such as Elfen Lied or Ninja Scroll. Not nominating either anime but saying that there's plenty of precedent on this sorta thing. I also assume the sexual content here never goes beyond Eichi.

I'm voting keep but it'd be helpful if somebody more familiar with this work could give their 2 cents.

This is by definition not porn - it's an adaptation of a literary classic.

Unless it's pedopandering - that is, unless someone has a specific character who is too young and too sexualized, keep.

Gore is literally not a factor in content policy.

As for "paedobait", it needs to be specific who and when. If it doesn't go further than questionable costume choices then it's normal.

Given what has been stated, I'm leaning to vote keep.

The game is available on Steam, and the first part is free. I'd like to play through it but I don't know if I'll have the time.

Going by what I've seen in the Steam forums the English version seems to be clean of any sexual content.

Nothing in the initial report seems like a reason to cut unless something more specific that would go against the Content Policy is presented.

Specifics would require me to upload an image of sexual content, which I'm not even gonna bother doing for obvious reasons.

Image wasn't asked, though it would quickly help the conversation.

Then the character name, approximate chapter/time, and detailed description of what's sexual there. If you can't describe what specifically the work does that violates the policy, we can't do anything.

Ok, so each of the 5 chapters revolves around a different heroine that the MC romances with. The heroine in the first chapter is named Ooishi Kuranosuke, and she is the mother of a heroine featured in a later chapter. For most of the chapter she appears as a little kid, but when the situation calls for it she has the ability to shapeshift into a much older form. The MC eventually has sex with her in BOTH of her forms - the "little kid" form, and the older form.

Also, the fandisk "Bushi no Kodou," adds several more heroines the MC (who is named Fukami Suguha) can romance and have sex with. Among them are Yatou Sayo and Hashimoto Ohatsu, who also look like little kids. VNDB does not have the "Sex Involving Children" tag anywhere on the "Bushi No Kodou" page, so this is probably a case of an Older Than They Look situation, but the paedobeat implications are still there.

Now seeing it, leaning more on cutting than keeping. For a gender-swapped samurai harem, some of these look rather too short.

Someone will have to verify if Steam version is Bleached Underpants, they normally are.

Yeah, I think it is. As of writing this the official English version is (I believe) Bleached Underpants-only, tho an unofficial fan patch is being worked on that translates the sex scenes.

Yeah, gonna say that that character being involved in sex scenes as a kid is over the line, and leaning towards Bleached Underpants only.
