To-do list:
- Merge Super Coach with Save Our Team.
Judging from the name, I feel there is possibility, but with how little there is, it just doesn't really have anything.

Most of the wicks aren't crosswicked so that needs to be done. However since this trope was brought to the TRS back in 2011 for the same issues...there might be some conceptual issues with it.
It was suggested in the failed TRS to ship it to the TLP since it never went there so maybe we can yard it if the idea is salvageable.

Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailIt has 26 wicks, so the "8 examples" point can easily be fixed.
The on-page examples, the description, and the title are in need of help regardless, but that would require understanding what the trope is going for and if is tropeworthy, "a trainer that helps the protagonist find motivation"?
Don't really mind yarding.

TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup(Side note ~Zerukin if you want a better shot at a TRS slot in the future, there's always the TRS Queue.)
Anyway I tentatively agree that this should be yarded.

TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallNot sure what this trope even wants to be. The description talks about the coach saving the school (from what?) in addition to, well, coaching the relevant sports team, but the only examples that have context talk more about the coach leading their teams to winning a lot of (big) championships. I did check the wicks, and while I'm too lazy to make a sandbox page for it, all the examples either have no context at all (i.e. just mentioning/potholing to characters' names, being used in in-line description as a stand-in for just coach), or the context don't go beyond "the coach does their job and/or understands their team very well".
I really don't think there's even a trope here, so I'm good with just cutting.
Good points. Changing my vote to cut.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallIf this isn't viable, I am good with just cutting.

Macron's notesThe coach said kick it off the team.
I think the idea of a new coach who is so great he leads the struggling team to both victory and character development is viable (this isthe plot of Ted Lasso, but in pro football and not in high school) but yard for now.
Cut. Yarding anything salvageable could be considered.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThanks for telling me about the trs queue. I will go there next time.
Cut.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. There are 1,536 inbounds, if thats too many inbounds we could disambig, if they are too few, then I say cut.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/Ato cutting.
Disambig to what though? There's literally no related tropes to direct "misuse" to. Also, I'm pretty sure we've cut pages with way more inbounds.
Seconding this [1].
Just a quick description rewrite and a wick check should do the job. It already seems some examples are like what Synch described.
We'd need 10 that are in line with that to keep.
I do agree the idea Synch discussed is tropeworthy, but for that reason, I'd rather it go back to the TLP to collect a solid chunk of examples so that it thrives.
Also keep in mind that, of the five on-page examples that come from works, three are blatant ZCE.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Save Our Team seems to be what this trope was going for. Maybe redirect to that?
We might be able to do that, but 1,536 inbounds since 2012 for a page from 2007 is bad enough that completely cutting probably wouldn't be a problem.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Huh yeah, Save Our Team is pretty much what I'm thinking of. Sure, we don't lose anything by redirecting there.
