Oftentimes here in Trope Talk, we get questions about whether or not a given trope is tropeworthy enough, or is an example of the kind of non-tropes discussed in People Sit on Chairs. These threads are extremely frequent, and per discussion in the TRS meta thread, this megathread was created.
This will be a centralized place to ask: is this article I found tropeworthy? Does it convey meaning or is it used to tell the story, or is it just something that happens to exist in a work? Ask here, and hopefully you will get the answers you need.
Remember, something that is "(people sit on) chairs" means it's happenstance or conveys no meaning. Something that also happens in real life, is common, is rare, or seems minor is not the same as being chairs.
As an additional note, keep this in mind when bringing tropes in, as noted by amathieu13:

I know we shouldnt dumb down every single trope name, but why dont we put that its a shout out in the name?

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. There's no evidence (as far as we know) of misuse, so there's no reason to change it.
Most examples of Giant Woman are not a Shout-Out to Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, but someone will have to actually check that.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupFollowing the retirement of Fanart At First Sight, I am beginning to wonder if Self-Fanservice is tropeworthy? It essentially refers to a character who is subject to a disproportionate amount of sexualised fan art, often one who is unattractive/ugly in canon or has a simple design. This is undoubtedly a thing, however, as we all know, more or less every fictional character will have someone drooling over them, so isn't this essentially "Fanservice-y fan art exists?"
Okay, that makes more sense. I just must have seen quite a lot of bad examples which were just "X character has sexy fan art".

"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".Self-Fanservice is not "disproportionate amount of sexualised fan art", it's "a character is Hotter and Sexier in Fanon.

I think the trope description explains it well (it has shared appeal with Cute Monster Girl) and it often serves as a Stock Shout-Out to Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
