Content Violations Review: Video Game.Pokemon Girls Hunter

Speaking as someone who has played 18+ mods for NWN's sequel, were it to come up I would judge A Dance with Rogues not for any logic about transformative works, but on basis of story to porn alone. The engine of that game isn't capable of showing detailed nudity so all you'd have to go on would be written text and splash screen cutscenes.

In this case I just don't think the plot rises above Excuse Plot.

@StarSword: Which is fair, I'm just not okay with creating a precedent that a Game Mod isn't to be judged holistically (which is what a lot of the people above were arguing for and is not okay).

Anyway, my misgivings and vote aside, I think we have a clear consensus to cut here.

Aye. The Content Policy page is pretty sparse in general compared to how I remember the old P5 page being in general. Perhaps the idea was to have us going into these discussions with as little prior preconceptions as possble, but after four months it may be good to catalog the precedents that have been set, and other "useful notes". While the idea of 'non-porn tropable content' has been mentioned before, the page as is does not actually discuss the importance of the content's "tropability" or lackof thereof directly.

As for the implications of the plot summary: I was torn for a while, ultimately back to leaning cut since while extensive the plot seems to center around the sex to a much greater degree than the infamous borderline case Redo Of A Healer, with almost all the beats centering around the sex.

Oh, as for " parallel Dawn, and parallel Rosa (who took over parallel Unova) (Aren't the last two 14 and 12 in canon?)", I doubt we're getting an in-RO Mhack age. Are they particularly child-coded? I'm inclined towards leniency when age is not stated, not that it helps this work's case.

Ages are never stated, and these are alternative versions, but using pre-existing characters as a basis does raise an eyebrow. If ages were stated at any point, it would be an automatic nuke.

That's because "tropability" isn't really a concern. The questions for any 5P review are a) does this work condone sexualization of children and b) does it have something more to offer than just sex/porn?

I think it's safe on a but fails on b.

"Non-porn tropeable content" is related to the latter. A derivative work has less to offer than it would otherwise, because of the other policy of not repeating trope entries from the base game.

(I wonder how that would be applied in the reverse situation, with a game too pornographic to have its own page and a mod that adds enough story that it could.)

Yeah, consensus to cut. There's been clearly not enough plot that isn't basically porn-based, and knowing that the original mechanics don't really matter anyway(as whether they're changed or not only is relevant if it directly affects the porn factor or adds pedopandering, well).

Besides, aren't the sole mechanics changes at best just adding to the porn factor??

That's what it seems like to me, the only significant mechanical difference is the ability to capture people instead of just Pokémon.
