Agree 2.1 is the best. 2.2 is meh, and 2.3 doesn't illustrate the "cafeteria" part.

Granted, I didn't see an issue with image size while on mobile. On desktop I can see that 2.1 is considerably smaller, but it's still most straight-forward to me.
I think the Monsters University one distracts from the point, while it is literally trash as cafeteria food, the monsters like it that way.
The Wayside School one could work (regardless that I had to remove the text after .jpg to see it), though I still prefer 2.1 over it.
As for the other suggestions, since this can be illustrated without words, I prefer it be that way.
