The wick check should answer that question: Role Ending Wick Check. Remember, TRS decisions take aim at wide-spread problems. If it's being misused as Fallen Creator once or twice then just remove/rewrite those examples; it might not be a TRS-level concern.
Besides, such misuse is what these new requirements are supposed to help curb.
I've started Sandbox.Role Ending Misdemeanor; haven't done much except change the first line to "on or off"-job behavior.
One thing I'm wondering, but recently, Ruby Rose posted a statement revealing that she was essentially taking abuse and injures on set for Batwoman, and essentially got removed from the project by force. Would this count as an example for the trope once the waiting period passes? Also, she claims her co-star Dougray Scott (who played Batwoman's father Jacob Kane) was also abusive, and it just so happens that the character was arrested in season 2 and thus removed from the show. Would he technically be an example of the trope too once the waiting period passes?
We would need actual confirmation that the character was written out to get rid of the actor. Plus it sounds like it was a coincidence anyway.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Plus, we need more than just one person's word about the subject. She could be lying, she could be completely telling the truth, she could be getting details wrong by accident or jumping to the wrong conclusions, etc.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThat's a very touchy case. The role was "lost" over a year ago, and since her statement the network and both costars she accused have responded saying she was fired because she was difficult. It is difficult to approximate the events. It honestly sounds like it might sit better in Hostility on the Set.

I think we should avoid examples that are particularly contentious or have varying opinions. One of the reasons why I had previously thought of cutting this was because of the risk of importing drama to TV tropes.
Well, the trope is pretty objevtive. I'm not even sure why it's YMMV. It could just as easily be Trivia.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessRole-Ending Misdemeanor is indeed Trivia. Or do you mean something else?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Like I said though; Rose’s case is unusual in that it’s a long time from the actual firing/quitting and it’s turned into a he said/she said. Most examples don’t read like that.
Huh. For some reason I always thought it was YMMV. Hence my confusion. Ignore that.
But...yeah. I don't see this trope as something controversial and flame-baity because it boils down to "person did thing and lost their job over it". It's completely factual.
As for Rose, like I said, if all we have is her word it probably doesn't count anyway.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIs it an objective fact that she was fired for conflicts with other cast/crew members, regardless of what the details of those conflicts were?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yes, but that doesn't describe a misdemeanor/wrongdoing, right?
It really depends on definition of misdemeanor. This was one of the reasons why I suggested a rename of this trope.
So what action shall we take?
I changed a couple of words in the description and laconic and added the No Recent Examples, Please! notice.
Examples cleanup now.
How's the cleanup going?
should we remove the example related to demitrius on the Dream SMP? it happened less than a week ago and likely violates web drama rule. Not to mention the example is very complain-y

Remove it, citing the wait time.
I'm kind of new here. how do i edit the example?
Hit the Edit button on top of the page and delete the bullet point. The entry says "Around the end of October 2021", but the history shows it was added October 25, and I'll take your word that it's too recent an addition.
ok then
i just removed it
My issue with the trope is the fact it may be more than just a misdemeanor.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsBut we already voted to keep the name ?

Crown Description:
What should be done with Role Ending Misdemeanor?
I may have said this earlier, but I am concerned about whether or not this trope is used as a substitute for Fallen Creator, which is a locked page.
