Not Tropeworthy: No Phones Tonight

I don't know if I like No Tech Agreement or any of its variations. It makes the trope about the agreement and not the subsequent experience of going without technology for a brief period of time.

No Tech Night?

If the page is kept, most examples are fine, and some crosswicking could help the wick count. Description is a bit barebones, however.

When I mentioned adding it to Pages Needing Wicks, I only meant for that to be part of a question regarding either sending it back to TLP or Yarding it, rather than an argument against sending it back to TLP or Yarding it. My main concern is the fact that it isn't already listed on that page (or even on other maintenance-related pages like Needs Wiki Magic Love) despite being a wick-starved page that's been around for several years.

I don't have a problem with Yarding it, or sending it back to TLP if someone here offers to sponsor it. If we resurrect the original TLP draft if this is sent back to TLP, that would be the place to address the concerns raised in the comment section regarding the name and the relationship with Cutting the Electronic Leash.

Edit: Also, I just remembered that I previously removed pages from Pages Needing Wicks that shouldn't have been on there (i.e., Definition-Only Pages whose wick counts don't matter), but were anyway, such as a Mary Sue subtrope whose page has a prominent banner saying that wicks aren't allowed.

Edit: I checked and I can't confirm those removals because they aren't in the page history, since it was moved from Main/ to Administrivia/ by the Outdated Pages thread and the old location was cut.

If we're going to expand it (maybe with a rename as well), I may give that option a chance.

I think we need to rename it anyway if we don't cut it entirely, since, as I previously mentioned, Fast Eddie himself said it violates No New Stock Phrases when it was in the draft stage. I don't know if he raised that objection himself for any other drafts' working titles.

Plus, among other TRS threads that dealt with dialogue-based titles (and purely Stock Phrase-based tropes) I've noticed that such tropes seem to be prone to having low wick counts, so it could be that the name is hindering its ability to thrive.

Voted for the redefine; I couldn't vote for TLP-ing it without someone agreeing to sponsor.

Yes, that's part of the default alt titles crowner text.

Since none of the options are in consensus range, I advertised the crowner on ATT.

Voted down Technologys Night Off. It just doesn't flow right to me. I prefer No Tech Night, which I voted up.

I'll be dewicking later; see what examples can be salvaged for the Yarding.

This isn't being Yarded — we already have a sponsor (I forgot who), so we're sending it back to TLP.
