Opened.
Here are some paleoarts of the T. rex by notable paleoartists. They've been featured in some books as well, so I guess it wouldn't be too hard to post them here without issue.

"Money is the goddamn plan! Have some faith, y'all!"The question I have is what kind of T. rex do you want to show.
Do you want the classic JP T. rex? Or a more scientifically accurate T. rex of today? The tail dragging monster from the 1900s to the 1970s? Or maybe just its skeleton, seeing how T. rex changes over time?
Our pic for Black Holes is accurate, so I think this should be too.
Black Holes is a Useful Note, though, so we should prioritize fictional depictions here.
I am not sure how tropewhorthy is Tyrannosaurus Rex in the first place, but that's an issue for the Trope Repair Shop.
We have Raptor Attack, Ptero Soarer, Social Ornithopod, Temper-Ceratops, and Savage Spinosaurs to describe the popular depictions of dinosaurs. The Tyrannosaurus rex is the most famous of all the dinosaurs and thus it is tropeworthy simply because if there are dinosaurs in media, chances are high to feature the T. rex. Though we could give it a new name to indicate a difference between media's depiction of the T. rex vs the scientific knowledge of what we know of the real T. rex.
Maybe T-Rex since that is the usual spelling of the Tyrannosaurus rex in media.
If I had to pick an image though, I would choose the life-size model of Sue.
Fictional portrayals of dinos start there, so... .

Can we hold off the discussion until this trope's gone through TRS?

Well it's locked for almost a month. But if we want to narrow the scope, I'll throw my two cents for the potential name change:
T-Rex Rule or T-Rex Rules (And yes, I deliberately misspelled T. rex to highlight the difference between scientific naming and media naming).

If we keep the trope, 9 is a good choice. Jurassic Park is certainly one of the most iconic franchises featuring the creature, including the creation of its famous Signature Roar.
There's no way of knowing the thread will open soon. Let's just do the image now and worry about it later.

I do think this should be like, Terrifying T Rex or something like that, but since the TRS issue isn't about an unclear description, 9 will work for now.
I also support using 9; it's definitely the definitive pop-culture image.

I believe these are a set of tie-in toys for The Lost World: Jurassic Park... but the quality is very dodgy. We can do better.
To start with, here's some art: 1◊, 2, 3◊.
Wish I had the raw art for this◊...
