The two locked character sheets have been handled.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThat One Boss.Pokemon is also locked.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI put it on the Locked Pages Thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=gsjp7dldjh2dwdelcha2hu17&page=1103#comment-27557

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Continuing going through with it.
I need an opinion on this FF7 example on a locked page.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI'd say that "there are many Inflictors" and turn the Status Effects mentions into "Capable of causing Forced Sleep, [Skill Seal Trope]" and such.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I'm a bit struggling to rephrase what I've already written to add these, it may be best if you write the full example there.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSomething like:
- Status Infliction Attack: There are the Damage Over Time, Taken for Granite, Silence, Freeze, Forced Sleep, and many types of Status Ailments inflicted by various spells. While bosses and certain higher level mooks are immune to them, no other enemy in the game is prepared. Attach an appropriate Materia to your weapon and have fun.
Actually, swap out Standard Status Effects for Status Ailment then mention Status Infliction Attack somewhere.
Perhaps:
- Status Infliction Attack: There are many Status Ailment inflicting spells, along with the weapon customization Materia to apply most of them by melee too.
The page Status Ailment, as it stands now, looks like it's redundant to Status Effect: the former is a list of potential ailments without links, and the latter is a list of potential ailments that links to their respetive tropes. Maybe they should be merged?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I don't see much value in its sister trope Status Buff on its own as well.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAlso reporting that I've moved another 100.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThere's Status Effects that are neither strictly a buff or ailment, first examples:
- Prayer of the Faithless: Emotional Ailments boost statistics while shutting down Regenerating Mana.
- Epic Battle Fantasy 5: Wet: Reduces fire damage, boosts electric and ice damage.
Reduced by another half. I'll probably finish with the moves next time unless someone completes this before me. After that, do we discuss Status Ailment and Status Buff or they'll need a separate thread at another time?
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup44 wicks left. Yeah.
I'm saying we split this into Status Ailment, Status Buff, and just plain Status Effects for things that are neither just good or bad.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576~Berrenta, Done. What to do now?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupRegarding Status Ailment, since this thread doesn't cover it, it should probably get its own thread. That's what was done with Anvil of the Story after Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped was merged with Anvilicious.
Edit: Posted a notice on the old discussion page.

Crown Description:
Many of the effect subpages are redundant to existing trope (e.g. Damage Over Time), while tha main page itself is functionally the same as Status Ailment. Options are not mutually exclusive.
