Does Not Illustrate: Red Boxing Gloves

Sure, Strong Bad wears them, but wouldn't it be better to so someone actually using them for fight scenes, which is what the trope is meant to be about?

(as an aside, the trope page is an utter mess of ZCEs and indentation issues and more, so digging for examples worth making images out of is proving to be a bit of a headache, but I did find some)

Is there a version of 1.2 without the timestamp? Until then, I'm going with 1.3.

1.3 is the best IMO. It's the brightest red of them.

1.2. 1.1 isn't nearly red enough and 1.3 just doesn't look as nice as 1.2 does.

Either one works for me, but 1.3 > 1.1 > 1.2.

Maybe someone in an actual boxing match?

Good image, but wouldn't work here, since this is a trope about people wearing these gloves so that the animators can get away with violence more easily. Being in a literal boxing match misses the point, because... that's just what one wears when boxing.

Again, those are all actual sporting events where people would realistically wear red gloves.

K. Rool's not doing it for sport though, at least in 14.5.

And in that one, the fact that they're wearing gloves is the least noticable part of the image.
