Just poor in general, too, since it's just a heart around a movie scene.

But also, I have no earthly clue who these bozos are.

Here's a suggestion:

From officially liscenced Mario 3 valentines.

If that doesn't count, what about the Super Mario Odyssey peach/bowser wedding? I think if none of that works then the best bet is probably fanart rather than implied/alt-intepretation images.

No matter what, pull current because it illustrates nothing beside the caption/context, heavily JAFAAC and it's bad.

If we can get a better quality version of the suggestion, I'm down to use it. The current can go.

Definitely pull the current; the suggestion is a good start, but quality issues make me unwilling to use it.

FWIW, the Valentine in OP uses art from Super Mario Bros. 3, so if we find higher quality versions of those we could recreate ourselves if we have to.

The screenshot of that collage seemed more crisp than the actual collage so I cropped that panel and made a PNG of it, without the border.

EDIT: Hmmmm...and here, it doesn't look any different. I guess it depends on whether you prefer one version or the other.

tried to manually remove a few jpeg artifacts, maybe that makes it better? no border is defo better imo

The problem with that suggestion is it doesn't indicate "Shipping" in any way. We'd need something like Actor Shipping to actually demonstrate it.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"

Yeah, I kinda figured fanart might be a better route. But that automatically comes, unless someone gets a lucky find, with having to ask permission for art and such, and it's a very open ended route -

That said, if we're going the fanart route, I would immensely prefer fanart of something like Mario, where it's clear in the image that they're foes. If it was fanart of the people in Current it'd just look like random yaoi with businesswear aesthetic, for example

The current strikes me as an image macro (as in, somebody used an instagram-like filter to put a heart over the movie scene). Let's pull that. I'm not sure about the replacement.
