Poor Image: Token Wizard

This image has a few issues as the two on the side of the token wizard look like they could have magic (left has a Magic Staff, the right has a fist on fire).

May I suggest an image from Val and Isaac that makes it easier to see the token wizard? Other suggestions are appreciated.

But wait, though yes its more obviously a wizard, it doesn't show the token part.

Definitely pull the current, I have no idea which of the characters depicted is supposed to be the token wizard.

But I don't really like the suggestion either, per . BUPKIS?

If Power Glows is enough to indicate "token magical member" and it's clear that the other members' powers aren't "magical", maybe the Young Avengers?^note second illustration is not technically an example since Loki is on the team

I find this illustration nice as well since Nico Minoru is in the middle, but it may be too mundane.

The Defenders

Oh, I like that first Defenders image. Real Is Brown is in full force for the other three so Iron Fist stands out. The second is less clear since Strange is clearly very magicky but Silver Surfer looks fairly supernatural and the composition of the image (red bg, etc) make it harder to see his powers at first.

I prefer 8.2, he looks more like a wizard as opposed to a firebender of sorts. 9.1 would be my second choice.

I prefer 9.1 because Wiccan is a bit too far in the background for my liking, and it's good to show the flexibility of the trope

Hm...the others might look so-nonmagical, and Iron Fist might be so non-"wizardy", that it could be mistaken for Token Super.

I prefer the one with Dr. Strange, because his costume does a little better to indicate his status as a wizard. As for the other suggestions, the over-saturated colour schemes of the pics diminishes the magic's Power Glows effect.

Prefer 8.3. Nico's front-and-center and everyone else looks normal, which helps to make her stand-out as the "magical" one.

It's the most illustrative, imo, because Gandalf sticks out like a sore thumb.

In the other images, you have to look for the wizard and guess who's it by the clothing. With 15.2, you can tell who's the wizard from the start.

Also, 15.2 has a lot of non-wizard characters, which illustrates the "token" part better than having one wizard and two non-wizards.

I like 15.2 best as well. He sticks out and the dwarves look very non-magical.

15.2 in wikisize. Gandalf sticks out in height but not so much in my perception of his abilities.

Maybe brighten the image a bit?

I'd like to point out that there's a trope for Fighter, Mage, Thief, which seems to be what the OP is going for.

Of the other suggestions, IMO Dr. Strange is the strongest so far.

Actually I picked that suggestion because the token wizard is wearing a hat and robes while the other two character are holding sci-fi items.

I also think we need a crowner for this thread.
