As odd as it sounds, Ace people are not necessarily adverse to such things or incapable of enjoying them (I personally am adverse to them and don't enjoy them but I am not a representation of Asexuals as a whole) so your dumb idea is basically just a regular sex shop but with an Ace Pride Flag on it or something.

I'll redact it then. (I know that you aces are not always repulsed, I just did not think it through.)

Kind of reminds me of something I had a dream about once - publishing literature on dishware sets. Not, like, taking a pre-existing public domain book and putting some of the text on a plate or anything, which could actually be a marketable product, but writing an entire new novel where the only way to read it is on a huge set of dishware. I had this dream when I was working at a thrift store by the way - the central premise of the dream was an argument among coworkers about whether this novel printed on a huge stack of dinner plates should be put with the dishware or the books.

I actually started trying to write this before I decided it was too pointless - "The Human Mash", a parody of "The Monster Mash" that just describes a normal office party. When I started working on this, I also wanted to be deliberately as lazy as possible, just replacing anything supernatural or monster-themed in the lyrics with something mundane even if it makes no sense or totally breaks the rhyme scheme and/or meter. I think the idea was spurred by hearing somewhere that the BBC banned the song for being too morbid, so I was thinking about how far you could go to unnecessarily bowdlerise all the occult/morbid references (which are of course pretty tame to begin with). Anyway, this is as far as I got:

No but I’m tempted to do so for my friend’s kids but we haven’t seen each other in 2 years plus her kids are too young to be vaccinated.

I have a $150 gift for my best friend that I can’t cancel but I don’t think I’ll regret that. It’s why I’m trying to budget.

I've mentioned somewhere in the past that since Abandoned Area is the very first trope alphabetically, I thought it would be funny if someone made a trope about aardvarks to overtake its position.

Here's the plan: Make a work that uses an aardvark in a significant way. Maybe the aardvark has a specific personality trait, maybe an aardvark shows up when something significant happens in the plot, maybe someone even uses the aardvark as a weapon. Whatever the trope is, we start telling every creator we can contact about it and ask them to use it in their next work! Then we wait until we have enough examples to make it an official trope!

The main way this could backfire is if people got too aggressive about asking the creators to use the trope. I may be crazy enough to start a forced trope about aardvarks, but even I know it's important to respect other people's decisions.
