The Administrivia policy for works created in other languages is Troping Works Created in Other Languages. At the moment, this is focused on works with official translations.
More broadly, TV Tropes has a rule that the latest English translation will normally take priority over the original (some exceptions are listed on the Administrivia page), but many pages and examples still use older titles and character names. This cleanup is to help relieve that.
For policy discussions, see the wiki talk Translation Policy thread.

Unusual circumstance brewing for RWBY, the majority of which was created in English, but a small handful of which was created in Japanese and translated into English. This creates the case where, in theory, two sets of English names exist.
In twenty-one hours, we'll have our first clear conflict between those two sets of names.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.A more in-depth explanation would be nice.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Use the original English names, not a Recursive Translation.
Keet cleanupThe character of Neopolitan was (mis)translated as Neo Politan in several spin-off works by third parties, some of which were originally from other countries. A companion guide to the show releases tomorrow. Due to leaks, we already know that her name will once again be rendered as "Neopolitan," settling that debate as far as the English version is concerned.

Is that the official explanation? I just thought RT used both spellings.
RT themselves have only used Neopolitan.
I checked and it seems they have. I didn't realize it was a translation issue.
We don't know if it's a translation issue, bad communication, or RT flip-flopping on what they tell other people.
Since the companion book has now officially released, someone should go ahead and make the change.
So, Ojamajo Doremi -> Magical DoReMi, right?
I don't know if Gigantor has ever used the Japanese names in English.

Dragon Ball Kai should be at Dragon Ball Z Kai.
Keet cleanupGrisaia no Kajitsu —> The Fruit of Grisaia
Keet cleanupLiterature.Arashi No Yoru Ni —> Literature. One Stormy Night. I remember this being Literature. One Stormy Night at one point but I think the wicks were changed. I think the page should be split into Literature. One Stormy Night, Anime.Arashi No Yoru Ni, Anime.Arashi No Yoru Ni Himitsu No Tomodachi.
Manga.Kuroko No Basuke —> Manga.Kurokos Basketball
Edited by Pichu-kun on Oct 21st 2019 at 4:17:16 AM
Were both of those officially licensed in English under those titles?
Keet cleanupAll of The Beautiful Skies of Houou High's wicks have been changed.
The One Stormy Night book has an English release. The anime has not, hence why it'll use the original name if it's split.
Kuroke's Basketball' has an English manga release.

We'd use the translated name for the anime as well.
On the Characters.Bakuten Shoot Beyblade pages, should the names be English with the Japanese names in parenthesis or should they stay as they are?
Just finished a move of Manga.Fukakai Na Boku No Subete Wo to its officially announced English title of Manga.Love Me For What I Am
x2 They should probably be in English.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Should 3-gatsu no Lion be moved to March Comes in Like a Lion? Also, as just come at ATT, we've been using the uncensored JoJo's Bizarre Adventure band reference names rather than the Writing Around Trademarks localized names. I believe we should follow the rule of JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia and use the most recent Japanese romanization from the artbooks or manga, since the fans never use the censored names.
Keet cleanupWe should use whatever the official English translation uses.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
If you look at that ATT, I'm not the only one arguing for an exception. How about a crowner?

Thanks. The mods have a tool to move pages while preserving the edit history; maybe we should request that on popular pages with a lot of subpages.
