Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- Subjective / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes
.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

- Problems with pre-existing images on Characters page need to go via Image Pickin'. Low quality images can usually be upgraded without discussion, but don't change or delete images without Image Pickin' approval.
- Character Specific Pages have their own separate cleanup thread
- Self-demonstrating character pages also have their own thread.
- Inanimate objects and locations on character pages have their own cleanup thread
- Character pages for Reality Show contestants are on-topic here, but there's also a dedicated Reality Show cleanup thread which deals with the No Real Life Examples, Please! grey areas these shows create, and may sometimes be a better place to discuss them.

Bringing the RE subpage here since it's a group of characters and not one, but I went through and have my changes listed at my sandbox and shown at Sandbox.Resident Evil Monsters Irregulars.

do the Characters.Senran Kagura pages need to go into the level of detail they do, particularly in including the characters' body measurements? i really, really hate that and i don't like seeing it on the wiki.

Characters.Cookie Run is split into various categories based on in-game classifications, however, none of these categories account for how long the resulting page will be. Cookie Run C Rank Cookies, Cookie Run B Rank Cookies, Cookie Run Rare Cookies, and Cookie Run Special Cookies in particular are egregiously short, and seem to be their own pages solely because of the in-game stats of the cookies listed on them.
Anyone have an elegant idea on how to merge these?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
They also seem to suffer from ZCE issues.
My solution would be merging the tiers together to something like Cookie Run C To A Rank Cookies. Merge Rare Cookies into Epic Cookies and Legendary Cookies into Special Cookies.
E: Or, if we wanted to completely overhaul the pages, separate them alphabetically? That would be a lot of work though.

Alphabetically seems like it would be the best option, yes. Having played only Kingdom, I have literally zero clue which cookies debuted in previous games or not, and even less idea what rank or rarity they were in those games, so finding a specific character I'm interested in troping is always such a pain.
... and yeah, ZCEs, it really seems like massive character pages attract them like flies.

You can go ahead and start commenting out any ZCEs you see. I think removing emotes is a free action too but not sure???? It's a lot of pages, so any further action may become your long-term project if you want to start cleaning it up. I'm not familiar with the series and already have a project I'm working on so I can't really assist aside from providing feedback.
I went ahead and put the current characters into an alphabetical list and, just from list of names, because I'm not sure how long each character's folder truly is once the ZCEs are cleaned up, I would divide as follows:
- Cookie Run Cookies A To B
- Cookie Run Cookies C
- Cookie Run Cookies D To F
- Cookie Run Cookies G To K
- Cookie Run Cookies L To M
- Cookie Run Cookies N To P
- Cookie Run Cookies R To S
- Cookie Run Cookies T To Z
I noticed some characters from Golden Boy (anime), such as the anime studio staff, that haven't been added to the characters page.

Combed through all of RE Monster Mainstays on my sandbox and have the page with changes implemented at Sandbox.Resident Evil Monsters Mainstays.
Not quite sure what you mean? If there are characters missing and you're familiar with the work, then you can go ahead and add them if you have enough tropes. But also, we don't trope the staff of works.

Next up on the RE character cleanup list is the Umbrella Paramilitaries group. I have the changes noted on my sandbox and the Resident Evil Umbrella Paramilitaries sandbox has those changes implemented. The page is now around 77K bytes, so it's still more than enough to remain its own page.

The White Lotus's two seasons are self-contained stories set at two different hotels. Unintuitively, Characters.The White Lotus is organized by "hotel staff" and "hotel guests" even if the staff and guests don't interact between seasons. I think it makes more sense to organize by season and am willing to do the legwork, thoughts?

Seconded, organizing the cast by seasons to me seems to be more fitting than organizing them by guests and staff.

Add it to the Cut List. Input the page name and the reason for the cut in the appropriate fields, then submit, and moderators can handle the rest.
