- Asshole Victim: The story goes out of its way to present him as one. He's a remorseless blackmailer who had been preying on the other racers to benefit himself. He had no qualms about having Cruise Control's sister pulled from the hospital, and he tried to murder Sonata when she tried to back out of their schemes.
- Expy: Of Redd White, being a blackmailer. He even says "I'm afraid I must ask for one more thing", just like he did.
- Greater-Scope Villain: His evil actions set the entire plot in motion and he's the closest thing the story has to a Big Bad. He's never actually encountered though, due to being dead.
- Hate Sink: The only character in the story with no sympathetic traits at all, and the only genuinely evil character. The story goes out of its way to make him unlikable.
- Jerkass: Putting it lightly, he treats the races as nothing more than a means to build his undeserved reputation and line his pockets while forcing the other racers to waste their entry fee money and make themselves look bad compared to him, and he will even stoop as low as to exploit or take the lives of others.
- Lack of Empathy: He has no shame in taking lives or having people pulled from the hospital.
- Mama's Boy: It's mentioned that his mother still packed his lunches for him when he was well into adulthood. It's not clarified if he returned her affection though.
- Villainous Breakdown: He loses his temper when Sonata tries to leave him and attempts to kill her.
