A mighty roar could be heard all across the planet, as more shadows began to spawn again, answering the roar by howling, like if they prepared for battle.
At the same time, the first shadow noticed it's first targets: Bale and Starfall. The beast moved with an impressive speed and almost pierced the pony's heart if it wasn't for Pharynx who fired a beam at it. The beast exploded, but another one began to form itself on the remains of the previous one. "F*cking ponies who cannot even defend themselves." grumbled Pharynx, ready to battle. "That thing is indestructible. Bale, that's not a game at all. if you die, you will definitively. We must not let it reach Ralsei and that other unicorn, they are our only way to protect and heal everyone!"
Seeing Billy on the corner he shouted. "You there! Make yourself useful and go warn the others about it! The blue unicorn must create her barrier! NOW!" None noticed the other shadow merged in the wall, passing by the different cars. It aimed for the last one to ambush everyone.

The Voidlands
After what felt like an hour of going from mini-planet to mini-planet, each of them almost losing each other to the vortex surrounding them, they arrive at the other side and can see the force-field mansion close in the distance, though it seemed upside down... or were they the ones upside down?
Regardless that didn't seem to matter at the moment as a black version of Porky Minch's spider tank at the end of EarthBound appears with red tinted glass. Inside Porky himself at first glance, but then he turns around with reveal a red version of Giegue with Porky's suit and hair. Giegue!Porky then briefly glitches out to the form of Giygas before reverting back.
Great, they can do fusion here!

Valecor laughed as he saw the trap Snow made for the nominators. One of the Peacekeepers comes to Valecor.
Time for you to board the spaceship, Mr. Valecor.
Nodding, Valecor follows the Peacekeeper.

Mett opens a portal back to his base and waves goodbye to Zoe as she enters it. He boards the train and winces as he sees what the exciting path had in store. "Woe to whoever's going that way."
When Scipion's shadows attack he sighs before hiding under a table. "I swear,I don't know why I still join these games."

Snow's Train
Power, Starfall, and Ralsei board the 10th car, which is right in the middle of the train, and then split up to do their own things. Feeling relieved that she chose the right path for them, Power suggests to Ralsei that they both go to the library for some light reading, which he agreed to. Once they reach it, which is in the 6th, the goat wizard sees the Changeling a few cars ahead.
"Hey Power," he asks, "can I go check on that guy over there? He looks pretty injured."
"That was Pharynx," she replies, "who saved us from Scipion's first attack. You can heal him as a sign of thanks while I wait right here."
Ralsei goes to the car where the Changeling is. Seeing him all battered and bruised, the goat clasps his hands together and says a little prayer before casting his healing spell. The recovered Pharynx hisses at him, but he tells him what Power said to him a while ago before going back to her.
They both head inside the library and pick some books. Ralsei, who made a manual of tips and tricks for Kris, chooses a guide on how to survive the Games to get some ideas to help the people on the train; while Power, wanting to improve her drawing skills, gets a drawing guide. They were only a few minutes into their R&R when they hear a roar.
"What was that?" they say in hushed voices as they run out of the library. They see the commotion that's going on in the car right next to it and enter it.
"Starfall, watch out!" cries out Power as she sees the Scipion shadow charge at him. After Pharynx blasts it away, he orders her to make the barrier. Giving him a firm nod, she takes out her supplies and begins to draw. She quickly but carefully sketches it, making sure that she doesn't forget the details. Once she's done, she orders Pharynx to continue keeping the shadow at bay as she readies her magic. A silver aura glows around her horn as she fires her spell at her sketchpad. The barrier starts forming around the car as Billy rushes out to warn the others.
"You better hurry back here before the barrier closes!"
Meanwhile, Ralsei instinctively wraps himself up with his scarf, peeking out of it to watch for anyone who needs healing.

Furias sure was glad he decided to board the train. The "thrill" of being hunted like a game animal doesn't appeal to him in the slightest, especially since the situation inside the arena wouldn't be too different. Perhaps someone like G would find it more to their tastes.
Regardless, this trip will serve as a brief respite. The calm before the storm. A time to collect his thoughts and formulate strategies. He picks a seat near the window and observes the scenery. Snow talked about the recreational facilities in this train. Perhaps he should visit the spa after this.
Too bad that the shadows attacked the train first.
"...Curses. Just when I thought I can unwind a bit."
With a small prayer and some frankly dramatic gestures, the High Armorer manifests a tripod-mounted machine gun in the middle of the car. A magnificent, glistening piece, gilded and engraved with precious metal, as if it was the prized possession of a royalty.
"In the name of Saint Browning, SMITE!"
The High Armorer bellows, and the machine gun lets out a righteous volley of gunfire. The gun moves by itself as it was possessed by a furious spirit, tracking each shadow with uncanny accuracy before hosing it down with a burst of anti-materiel rounds.
Hearing Billy's warning, the High Armorer conjures a set of spectral shotguns, firing at the encroaching shadows as he made his way to the protected carriage. His summoned machine gun remains to guard against shadows trying to move to the rear carriages.

Mett hears the warning and quickly runs to the protected car. "I don't know why I thought this trip would be relaxing."

"Unbelievable... I hoped that I didn't have to use that cursed form again, but I have no choice if we want to progress quickly." grumbled Giegue. A red aura engulfed him. Soon his body have disappeared while the red aura beared a face very similar to Giegue. "Let's hope that I won't have to release Giygas at 100%. Overthwise, I could lost it and even attack you. The only thing that could harm Giygas are feelings like hope and love. We just have to incapacitate that thing then!"
The train
As the reborn shadow fought Pharynx, it was suddenly pushed back by the barrier. It tried to break it, but there was no use. Furious, the shadow howled as shadows appeared in front of the still moving train. They fused and a giant shadow stopped the train when it collided with it. The giant then splitted apart, as the shadows invaded the first car, prior to the one protected. After some failed attempt at breaking it, they decided to stay, like if they were waiting for something to appear while surrounding the protected car. Some managed to sneak out into Furias and Mettaton's car to attack the protected car from behind as the barrier wasn't complete, but Furias succesfully repelled them and ran towards the protected car before they could reform.
That didn't changed the plan of the other shadow who was still inside the back of the train, still intact. Althought the last car was empty, the shadow felt Zanreo, Celebi, Ebony and Elliot on the next one. It rushed towards them to finish them off.

"Guess it was a good thing I went with this one after all..." Zanreo was watching movies as she heard the warning. "So.... what's this about a barrier closing... welp, better get moving!" She rushes towards the protected car, shooting laser beams at any shadows in her way.
"Leftover items still have value!"

Welp, you heard the man. Time to get moving! The smaller shadows get taste of balls of green energy. The larger ones... you just kinda outmaneuver. Being tiny helps, as well as shadows not being the greatest of tacticians.
"so uh, anything to say before the games begin for real and we have to "kill" each other? tips, comments, friendships to make?"

As Giegue, Galeem, and Dharkon engage Giygas!Porky in battle for a few minutes, Valecor calmly waits for the tough glass of the spider tank to break before launching one of his dark energy crystals at Giygas!Porky. The effect was immediate. As the abomination kept trying to use one of its psychic attacks, the crystal kept growing until it completely encased the being. The monstrosity then lies motionless, unable to move.
Valecor turns to Giegue.
Should allow you an explanation on how my crystal works. they are formed using whatever energy is around them and thus can absorb any energy around them as well. This includes psychic energy. Regardless my crystals do wear off after a while, so let's get a move on!
They then continue on the path to the mansion, multicolored clouds rolling into the path up ahead. They go through them and are hit with the immediate realization that A) these are physical manifestations of the internet cloud and thus contain their information as said information just entered their minds and B) the particular information that entered their minds are the creepypasta and, um, that part of the internet, none of which is pleasant. Giegue, Galeem, and Dharkon in particular would see the stuff relating to their source material. Galeem, Dharkom, and Valecor were unfased by this, actually seeming to enjoy it.
After going through the clouds they arrive at last at the mansion, outside of its force field. OG!Valecor greeted them, making an opening in the force field for them.
OG!Valecor: So I see you've passed the tests, well done. We actually made it easy for you, as if you were ones we didn't like the trails and the foes your faced would've been intentionally harder. my master does have power over all of those corrupted tributes and it's his power alone that's preventing them from escaping into the rest of the multiverse. Now come, let me show you around the place.

Elliot took one look at the shadows invading the train and rolled his eyes. He just wanted to chill on the ride, buut he has to waste some magic on a fight.
He slowly got out of the tub and raised his paw, casually firing a magic blast at the shadow.
The Train
Everyone would hear Snow through the speakers on the train.
It seems the bridge the train is scheduled to go over is out due to an earthquake, so we're taking a lesser-used path. As this path a lot less leisurely and relaxing than the route we were scheduled on, you can consider this as like a free amusement park ride. That said you may want to hold onto something, preferably your lunch as I just had the train cleaned and could care less if you got injured or not, as you being injured would make things more entertaining for our viewers and thus higher ratings.

Nominator's Train
Billy, boarding the train in the same car as Pharnyx, and watching the TV, saw what President Snow did to the nominators who choose the exciting path. He expressed a bit of anger at how it's a trap basically. Then suddenly, Billy started to feel that an attack was happening. He felt some shaking, as well as sounds of roaring and screaming. He decided to look outside from the corner, and saw the shadows attacking. He was a bit shocked, though mostly unfazed due to his experiences before. Then, he saw Pharnyx looking at him, before saying that he should warn the other nominators.
Billy heed what Pharnyx said, and immediately tried to run to the other cars to warn people, using his skills as a businessman to convince them about the threat, as well as to either evacuate from the shadows, or a more important choice, defend against the shadows immediately. He also tried to rally those with power to help with defending the train too. The people he warned seemed to heed what he said, as they started defending themselves from the shadows, while a barrier was being erected. Billy continue warning everyone, while trying to evacuate himself to the protected car so he wouldn't die before the Game.
Then, Billy heard President Snow's announcement. He tries to calm himself down in his mind, trying to rationally think that the bridge could have been knocked during the trip and the Capitol just knew about it now. On the other hand, however, he also thinks it could be another of President Snow's trick on the nominators too, only revealing the bridge is broken now. Either way, he has to endure the path, which he hopes is at least one for trains still. Considering the attack, he cannot use seatbelt yet, so he has to endure all the twisted ride. Fortunately for him though, at least he is resistant to motion sickness. However, Billy is angry at how President Snow said he doesn't care about the nominators' health when they arrive, and even said it will make for a good entertainment, probably because the viewers either hope the injured tribute would somehow be able to pull it off well, or they are bloodthirsty and want to see the already injured tribute finished off early and helplessly thanks to their injuries.

Power is still using her magic to form the barrier. It's almost complete, but if she moves just one inch, it'll disappear instantly and she'll have to start over.
"I need someone to hold on to my hooves! Ralsei, grab on to the nearest table! This is gonna be a bumpy ride!"

Ratings! Of course! This is his chance to show the citizens of Panem what the Leaden Church is capable of. He summons a rifle with a spiked bayonet, thrusts it upon the carriage's floor, and braces against it. In his other hand, he manifests a curious-looking pistol
◊, which he uses to take potshots at the shadows from between the gaps in Power Stroke's barrier.
"Damnable wretches! By my arms, be banished and return to the void whence you came!"

Bale assists.
Bale was scared by the shadows but decided to fight back for the sake of the others.
Bale: Alright, you shadowy jerks, it's time to light you all up a bit!
Bale then readied a special gun he generated and started using it to vaporize the shadows with pure light.
The Legion of Doom Fights Back
At the base, Scipion's shadows were causing a ruckus, but the villains were more than ready for them, with Thanos slicing them with his blade, Smaug burning them, Aku swallowing them, etc.
G1!Tirek: Rainbow of Darkness... It's time to feed!
Smaug: Burn you miserable shadows!
Black Hat: I won't even bother here, this shadows are way beneath my notice and care.
Lucemon: Excellent, more power for me!
The villains easily wiped out any shadows coming for them, even some of them were absorbing their power, turning a would-be crisis into a chance to become more powerful
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."

"Alright Mett, hold on to my forelegs. Billy, hold on to my hind legs."
Power is now completely immobile, but she has to endure this for the rest of the trip.

The Train
The train makes a turn at the fork that lead to the ruined bridge and goes on the other path. It soon crosses a hill and the trains starts zooming down the tracks through a ravine and up the tracks on the other side, crossing though the river that went through the ravine. Said river was ice-cold, and thanks to the battle aboard the train breaking several windows, everything inside the train got soaked, such as the books.
Back on level ground again, the train passes a few danger signs warning to keep out and that a cursed mine of some sort is up ahead.

Power closes her eyes as she continues forming the barrier, trying not to get dizzy and lose her lunch. She then feels something cold and wet splash on her. Water got into the car she's in, but thankfully not too much since the barrier kept most of it out. She peeks a little to see Ralsei still holding on to the table, keeping himself dry with his scarf.
Seeing that the train will go inside the mine, she orders Starfall to use a light spell once it gets in.

Aboard the train
Of course the exciting path is a death maze. A normal deadly route wouldn't be exciting and deadly enough. And the whole "no powers" thing isn't really up your alley..."yeah no thanks I picked this form specifically to have some kind of powers, I'd rather not lose them this fast."
Oh yeah, Scipion is attacking the train, I guess. Let's not make any decisions in haste.
