Pretty much. What I was trying to say is that this sounds like a less specialized trope based around misconceptions about pop culture, while we have more specialized tropes like those two. In hindsight, I think making this a supertrope would be better than simply labeling it completely redundant (I was probably tired when I wrote my previous post, because now I don't think deeming this completely redundant is a good idea).

It does make a good supertrope for those two + Beam Me Up, Scotty!.
EDIT: looking at that trope, it mentions similar stuff, God Never Said That which could be also under this supertrope, and a relevant Dead Unicorn Trope.

But do we have a clearly-defined trope for fandom misconceptions, considering that FBB is also being cleaned up at the moment?
