Critical Backlash

Eh, I dunno about that. Rap and metal are two very different genres that honestly don't really mix too well. It's not racism, it's just a bad mix. Like mixing tequila and milk.

For music, Vaporwave is starting to become more liked, but still has enough "ironic shitposters" and haters that I think I can put it here.

For specific songs, I'll admit, after listening and watching a bunch of All Star memes, I'm starting to like the song un-ironically.

I think The Passion Of The Christ is seriously one of the greatest films ever made.

Sonic Underground is one of those shows that I actually liked growing up. It's not a bad show, in my opinion. A lot of people seem to love ragging on it.

Am I the only person who think The Lorax movie was decent? While the original Dr. Seuss special is still quite good, the movie wasn't as bad as people say it is. At least, in my opinion.

No, I liked the movie too. Of course the cartoon one will always be good, I thought it was a decent flim.

I kinda said this on some other threads but Chicken Little, while I don't think it's a great movie, is nowhere near as bad as everyone says it is.

I think so too. I really don't understand the hate this movie gets especially in regards to the the titular character's dad, Buck Chuck isn't a good guy but he isn't that evil. I suspect it is because Buck hits too close to home for some people.

When it comes to The Simpsons, a lot have very strong feelings on certain episodes. Saddlesore Galactica is one of those episodes that people love or hate. I've always loved this episode. It has some of my favorite moments in The Simpsons.

So, I actually think the Transformers movies aren't really bad. While they aren't masterpieces, they are entertaining popcorn flicks.

Originally I didn't care about the Black Panther movie at all, but then I saw just how much hate it got on 9gag and realized that I just had to watch it

Teen Titans Go! has a few gems here and there, surprisingly.

I don't hate Sonic Boom but I do agree that it could be better than what it is.

I actually kind of enjoyed Ultima IX, though it definitely wasn't as good as most of the previous ones. Probably helps that I went in knowing about its reputation.

Here's a variant of sorts. Sonic 2006 is not a good game, but I find dunking on it to be utterly tired, boring, draining, and just not interesting or enjoyable to do anymore. Literally anything that can be said about it (or at least its problems) HAS been said. Not to discourage anyone, it's just not a thing I like partaking in. Hell, I don't even strongly hate it, and even remember having a slither of legit, guilty-pleasure fun in some segments (then again this was before I had more refined taste in things in general).

Son of the Mask is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's just fun to laugh at in all its utter weirdness.

Humanz is a pretty good album to me although it’s been criticized for some things

While Shrek the Third is definitely the weakest of the Shrek movies, I don't think it's as bad as some people say it is. It does have some legitimately funny moments, such as the part where Pinocchio pulls Confusing Multiple Negatives to stall Prince Charming.

I don't hate St. Anger.

Is it my favorite album? Nope, not even close. But I do think it has some real bangers on there, like "Dirty Window" is legit one of my favorite Metallica songs. And I can understand why the sound was so raw since they were going through a really rough patch and needed to vent.

Also, people may have different tastes, but I wish a band could experiment with their sound without getting accusations of being "sell-outs" for it: To me, that kind of attitude is so self-centered. Like, "Don't you dare try anything new - You should cater to me and only me! My tastes are the only ones that matter!"

I know Beauty and the Beast (2017) is an extremely polarizing movie, but I enjoy it since it does try to be its own thing (which is more than I can say for a couple other remakes), and I liked LeFou's redemption arc.
