Rain Quest

Joel puts the alarm clock into the burlap sack, then takes the burlap sack. This is where Joel will keep his inventory.

One thing that I should have done better in Dreaming and Awake was keeping better track of the inventory. From now on, I'll put our current inventory in a folder at the bottom of each of my posts.

Joel isn't sure why he has an umbrella. He spends so much time outside, looking down at the world below, that he doesn't really keep track of what's in his house. Either way, the umbrella may be useful, if he can get it fixed.

Joel decides to give his alarm clock waifu a backstory. When she was young, her village was destroyed by an evil emperor, who she is prophecized to destroy in the future. But she doesn't know this yet, which is okay, because Joel is taking care of her.

Joel decides that he doesn't really need such a long name, and decides he should get it legally changed to simply Joel. But there aren't any authorities anywhere close, so he decides that it's okay if he's the only one who makes the decision.

Our hero, now simply Joel, wonders if he's collected every object he might need. He's not sure why, but he feels like something big is going to happen this night.

I'm not usually going to update the game this quickly, I'm just doing it this time to help you get a better idea of what to do next.

Joel tells his clock waifu that she's so kawaii.

Now I feel bad because I was going to introduce another character soon who I thought was going to be Joel's love interest. Maybe this will become a love triangle. :P

Well, Joel doesn't really have a specific goal at the moment. But he feels like something is coming, and he needs to prepare himself.

As mentioned previously, it's stormy outside, but Joel realizes that the thunder seems to be getting louder and louder. Whatever big thing is coming may happen soon.

At the moment, all Joel is carrying is the burlap sack, which contains his alarm clock waifu. He has not grabbed the umbrella yet. Aside from that, the only places Joel hasn't searched yet are the three drawers of his cabinet. Or should he go outside first?

EDIT:I don't know why the folder isn't working in this post. It's still the same as in the last post.

EDIT:Now, for some reason, it only works when you click the folder control.

The umbrella is currently torn, but it might be useful if Joel can get it patched up. He puts the umbrella in his inventory.

Joel opens up each of the cabinet's three drawers.

• The first drawer contains a little music box.
• The second drawer contains a needle and thread. All Joel needs now is some fabric to sew to the umbrella.
• The third drawer contains some fabric - but it's crawling with moths! Joel can't grab the fabric until he gets rid of them.

Joel looks up at the ceiling. Nothing is there, no lights or anything.

Unfortunately, Joel doesn't have any raindrop pals, and even if he did, he has no way to contact them. Poor guy.

There is a small window, through which faint flashes of the lightning outside have been illuminating the room a little. Joel looks through the window, but can't see a lot because it's so dark and stormy.

Joel is sad that he doesn't know any other raindrops. However, he feels he has other things to worry about at the moment.

Joel winds the music box's crank, and it plays a rendition of the Blue Danube Waltz. Although he loves its sound, Joel still feels uneasy. Maybe someone else will find the music more calming.

For the record, I prefer the sound of bigger music boxes like this one, but I personally imagine this particular music box being smaller.

Joel takes all of these items and puts them in his inventory.

Joel briefly considers shipping Arāmu-chan with the music box before changing his mind, deciding that Arāmu-chan is his waifu.

What has this game come to? XD

Also, which is it? Arāmu-chan or Kurokku-san?

Joel looks to see if there are any objects under his bed. There is nothing but dust. Good thing Joel isn't allergic.

Joel feels like he should go outside now. He exits his house and stands on the cloud. His cloud is floating over a mountain range, where the storm is raging louder than ever. Suddenly, something happens that blows Joel's mind...

Guess. Joke guesses are welcome here. XD
