ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

As Whitney went along with them to a doctor for her memory(?), she quietly at a poffin, following along without a word.

Only one real thought could come to her mind.

A very cloudy, messy thought that she can just barely make out.

... Who were these guys?

Upon arriving in the hospital, Noriaki is quick to rush to the front desk, "Excuse me, our companion here seems to be suffering from sort sort of ailment regarding her memory. Do you have any doctors that can see her about that?"

A Lickitung, in an o so adorable orderly outfit, turns around. Letting his tongue roll out on the floor as he begins to speak...

"Well, we got Dr. Minz. He's sorta the brain guy. I... I'm not really certain on the doctors here, but I'm sure he's the brain guy!"

He nods, both to reaffirm himself and the customers.

Whitney looks to the Lickitung and the strange folks carrying her around, beginning to look very tired.

"Very well then, can we get an appointment with this Dr. Minz soon, please?", the Decidueye asked.

Hikari, still at Whitney's side, lightly patted the Growlithe's head in an attempt to comfort her quietly.

Oh, 500 isn't expensive, but I don't think you three have money. We can certainly cover for you, and Kevin?

Well yeah, I guess I can help.

I say turning back toward Darnell, and toward Marsha, then back forward again. Figuring the better idea is to shell out roughly 1000 Poké each I hand Darnell 1000 Poké to help make sure Bailey, Rex, and Rainmaker make it inside along with us, and Kevin follows suit.

The Cacturne meets her sister's incredulous look with one of her own. Why would the mayor quit? She thought he had nothing to do with what Amy did.

Surely he can't be serious...right?

Just as Isaac was about to politely ask his customers whether they'd enjoyed their meals, the Salazzle... he was initially going to assume the poor lizard was having some kind of funny turn, but then things rapidly got stranger. Though, once the shock of Eliot's sudden transformation wears off, he finds himself thinking, say, that Smeargle looks vaguely familiar... Vague recollections are not his primary focus right now, though.

"O-oh, goodness gracious me! Are you all right, sir?"

Though initially unfazed by Eliot's use of Transform, the difficulties he seems to be facing as well as the weakness he exhibits afterwards startles Mila and Autumn both, with the latter gripping the former's paw tightly and only letting go after he seems to recover. Mila takes a pause from her own meal, hovering over her seat as she's unsure whether or not she needs to get up to get help as she examines the now-Smeargle.

"A-are you okay? That seemed worse somehow..."

"I don't know if you want to talk about it, but I'm worried too."

Sally still eyes Grigori cautiously even as he provides his response and for a moment she even considers refusing to tell him more anyways, but after a small duration of silence she realizes that she can't stand everyone waiting around and soon folds and starts to tell him some of what she knows.

"Fine. Well, she's gotta ship an' a lotta treasure. She says she needs it to take care of all her kids. I gotta lot of brothers and sisters..."

Sally seems to drift into being upset from her earlier anger, but something quickly brings her energy back.

"So can ya find her or not? Ya better not take her treasure!"

(Marsha motions to the others.) Well, here goes nothin', huh?

(Lots of treasure? I can buy Sally having lots of siblings (I mean, Mr. Carrington back in Agartha had six children after all) and maybe I can even buy her mother having a ship despite being a fish Pokémon, but the part about the treasure is rubbing me the wrong way in particular for some reason. Is her mother a professional treasure hunter (if that's even a real profession and not just something from my books) or something?)

I don't think any of us were planning to take it from her, Sally. (I tell her.) If you don't mind me asking, what does your mother actually do? How does she get this treasure?

And as so I turn toward the funhouse, beginning to walk on over, wondering just what's going to go down this time.

"Oh!" Bailey says to Marsha. "Thank you so much."

"Thank you!" says Rex.

(Lots of siblings, so it's likely a bunch of Clamperls. I thought back at Foxfell when we talked with the police duo. I'm not completely sure if the little one's connected to that group of raiders they mentioned, but the details surrounding the latter seem to fit with hers. With that in mind, I asked the little clam.) Do you know your mother's name?

(Unlike before when Marlon and Marsha went into the fun house, there is not an entry hall. Instead, there appears to be a modest looking living room with comfortable-looking furniture scattered everywhere right off the bat. In the middle of the room in the biggest chair is a dozing Zoroark who looks older and stronger than June with an open book in her lap. This must be Lilac.)

Uh...huh...this it? (Marsha wonders, looking around the room before turning to look toward.) Do we need ta wake her up or somethin'?

The Fun House

Well uh...what are we waiting for, then? Let's light this popsicle stand.

I carefully creep over toward the Zoroark and attempt to wake her up.

Miss, miss? Are you awake?

Steph is still with the group although she seems to be waiting for something to happen. Steph looks concerned, "So, what do we do now?"

(The sleeping Zoroark abruptly vanishes as soon as Marlon gets close.) Sorry, I'm actually over here.

(Lilac waves from another smaller easy chair with a grin on her face.) Hello, you all. Glad you could visit! Welcome to my niece's trick room!

Uh, heya! (Marsha says, a bit confused but also not surprised.) So, uh, what happens from heres?

I'll tell you all in just a second! First, let me run into the kitchen and get the refreshments. (Lilac says, standing up.) Please, have a seat!

(Lilac walks off into another room. Marsha looks to the others and shrugs before having a seat.)

(Winnie is still in search of Benji. Frustrated, she has a seat near the pizza stand.) I must be losing my touch. Usually I can spot Benji a mile away...

The House of Fun

Following orders from June's aunt, I suppose she is, I sit down and motion for the others to come take a seat with us.

Be ready guys, this'll get more wacky from here. We know this well enough to understand what's probably gonna come after this.

Granted, who knows how this woman would run her niece's, who is already very wacky in of herself, trick house.

Bailey, totally confused, just looks at Rex for a few seconds, then shrugs and also takes a seat.

Rex takes a seat next to Bailey, wondering what sort of activity Lilac is planning next. Things are looking interesting.

(A moment later, Lilac peeks back out of the room. She looks around at everyone in the living room before locking eyes with Marsha.) Hey, would you mind helping me bring the trays in, ma'am? I've got more than one and they're pretty big.

Uh, I reckon? (Marsha says, looking at the others in mild confusion before getting up and going into the kitchen with Lilac.)

Narcia (Outside)

(Sitting at the picnic bench, Winnie soon spots Dinah with Grigori and a Roserade and a Clamperl she doesn't recognize. She recognizes the Krokorok as the same one who was with Benji back in Gleamscape.) I've never seen any other Krokoroks that wore unfashionable blouses like that. Now which of those with her is Benji? I know it cannot be the Decidueye... (She mutters, staring in their direction and wondering if she should approach.)

The Fun house

Call it whatever you may, but given the current situation at hand I can feel a bit of unease coming on. Some nervous laughter to be had, maybe, but obviously no real danger should be had here. But perhaps the most unease lies in the fact that Lilac runs this establishment more differently than her niece and we haven't even gotten into the opening act yet. Perhaps it's also Marsha suddenly up and going to help her, as well. Whatever the case, I shrug it off.

So, how're you guys feeling?

I ask those gathered around me.

"Ah... I'm fine," says Rex. "I mean, this should be fun, right? I'm curious to see what's going to happen... are we going to play some kind of game?"

"Aright. No problem! No problem at all... I'll just pencil you... oh. Oh, he doesn't actually have anyone lined up today. Guess you can just walk in there! He's the third door on the right."

The Lickitung points to an ever so helpfully labelled door, as Whitney begins closing her eyes, getting sleepier and sleepier till...

THONK. She passes out right on the ground.

"Thank you very much for you assist-"

"....!?"

Noriaki rushes over to the side of Whitney as she falls.

"Whitney! Whitney!", the Decidueye said in a worried voice as he shook the Growlithe, "Hikari, do you know what happened? Can you heal her?"

"Sh-She seemed fine to me", the Aromatisse stuttered, "This does not seem to be an injury I think I can heal... The doctor is ready for us regardless, we can bring her there."

Breathing out, Norikai nodded. With help from Hikari, she hoisted Whitney up and carried her to the directed door.

This seems worse than I thought the Blade Quill Pokemon thought to himself, I pray that she will be fine...

She does quickly wake up, looking around confused as she's brought into the doctor's office.

Waiting is a Psyduck, reading the newest issue of Field's Guide until he looks to the crew, panic in his eyes as he frantically closes the magazine and stands up.

"AHAM. HELLO THERE! Sorry, you caught me..."

He eyes the magazine, throwing it under his desk.

"Studying. What seems to be the issue?"

"IthingI'mbein'kidnabbed..." Whitney slurs.
